Dominion Frolicking with Dragons | Agents of Chaos Dominion of the Empty Hex SW of The Deep

For not quite as long as it might seem to some, the Agents of Chaos had been building their Scintilla in the Unknown Regions, constantly adding spheres and expanding it. True to their word, they took no planets, though very weird and incomprehensible bureaucracy required they accepted some of their snail mail at the Deep.

It seemed as though today would be as any other day - the sun shone brightly on Eve, people went to work, training sessions were scheduled, and… A call from Discordia herself went out to the Firsts and the leaders.

The galaxy was a place full of dreams and wonder. Part of those dreams were not dreams at all, but rather, the Duinuogwuin - space dragons, who could grow so large that they could reach 3,000 meters in length. The beasts were magnificent, majestic, and grand. And they were coming.

The group that was coming, a clan that called themselves the Le'tahout, were a clan that passed by that part of the Unknown Regions once every few centuries. They knew the area well, and had been surprised to see the immense spheres of the Scintilla on their journey northwards. However, they had quickly gathered what was growing in this part of space, and wished to meet with these so called Agents of Chaos.

To organise the day, Me'lech, the leader of the Le'tahout offered that they would split their nomadic dragons into two; one group that would meet with Discordia's Speakers, and another that would permit the Agents of Chaos and civilians of the Scintilla to come ride dragons.

Only one warning did they have to give prior to the meeting.

They were not alone.

​

The Le'tahout clan is interested in setting up a colony that would become part of the Scintilla. Meet with them, reach agreements, and plan the future. For this purpose, a large disc has been brought from the asteroid field near the Scintilla, so that magnetic boots could let the Agents of Chaos walk or sit, while stil providing no gravity that would interfere with the dragon's ability to take flight.

​

Those who wish to socialize with the dragons are welcome! There will be food, there will be drinks, and some of the smaller dragons have agreed to give fun rides to a certain amount of people are interested. The dragons are mostly flying out in space - so get a space suit on!

​

Chasing the Le'tahout clan is Mifletzet, a large Duinuogwuin who had been subject to experiments beyond the galaxy's edge. As a result, he has grown to over 7 kilometers in length, and he is chasing the Le'tahout, for he accuses them of letting him fall into the hands of his torturers, and wishes to undo them. Many smaller space dragons are with him; younglings that he had taken from the clan, and subjected to the same sort of torture. But they are still young, and much smaller in size. Save the Le'tahout, who cannot fight Mifletzet.

Alwine's heart fluttered with excitement. In all the dealings of recent times with wars, logistics, she had not once dared to dream that something like this would be happening. A colony of space dragons that lived for centuries and could reach terrifying sizes! And they wished to have a colony erected on the Scintilla!

It was not an opportunity she was willing to miss. Not for anything in the galaxy.

She had begun the morning with the consummation of more of the pills she required to keep herself functioning. It would do her no good to meet the dragons in her stiff form, unable to shift, barely able to move. But the pills, combined with her excitement, had breathed life into her cheeks now, had made her excited and happy.

A special disc had been sent from the asteroid field to give them the option to meet properly; the flat disc offered no breathable air or any sort of weapons or defences, but it would serve as a good grounding floor that their boots could latch onto. Special communication devices that worked in the vacuum of space and help boom voices that even 3 kilometer sized dragons could hear were added as well.

A large shuttle was ready to take off. Alwine was already seated on it, and looked around to see who else would be joining.

 

[Domino]

Domino wasn't normally one to get into pointless fights or try to show off. She much preferred to just be and let her actions speak. But a fracking Space Dragon had put out a call to all challengers for an expedition match! How could anyone with a pulse turn down something this epic? So she accepted and now the arena was set, an empty shell of a sphere set for the Scintilla, depressurized and without gravity to weigh them down, lights and holo cameras floated throughout the area. An angled entryway had been cut into the slope of the wall and, when the rambunctious announcer finished introducing the dragon and yelled "Measuring in at five foot four and tipping the scale at a mere one-seventy-five, It's our CHALLENGER!" Her music began pumping over the comm and she strode down that metal hall, magnetized boots ker-thunking with a purpose. Her shoulders swung with confidence in rhythm as she emerged into the spotlights, they blinded her until her visor polarized and she switched to the augmented reality.

Her opponent was breathtaking. They'd spoken about the match before today but this was the first she'd seen him face to snout. His 'mere' two kilometre length snaked across the far side of their arena, filling it and casting dark shadows in the vacuum behind him. The sight made more magnificent for his spread wings. It made her appreciative of her face concealing helmet as it hid her awed uncertainty. If this were a real fight then she would have been hard pressed to wound such a magnificent creature without outright killing it. But this was half show so Domino reached for her pikesaber and pointed underhanded it at the dragon in challenge. The hype-man went wild. "She's challengin' him! Oh gods this pint-sized powerhouse has no fear! The power of ARMAGEDDON ITSELF before her, and she shows no fear!"

 

[Len Vert]

Objective: Ride A NERFING DRAGON!
Location: Meet N' Greet Riding Area
Wearing: Space Suit

It isn't everyday that you go to ride a dragon. Hell, it isn't everyday that you get to see a dragon. So there is no way that he is going to pass this up. Len had been told that these dragons were big.

"Well, bigger than my..."

He let his out loud thought fade away. These were supposed to be mystical creatures or whatever. They probably wouldn't appreciate naughty humor. At least he did. Good 'ol size joke never killed anyone. Scratch that, it did actually kill somebody. But that is a story for a different time.

Len walked up to these dragons. Lifting his head practically vertical he saw them. The first he noticed was all the arms and legs. Like, why do yah need some many? You aren't wearing any boots, so you don't need them for tying. So...just why? He let that thought trail off while he still awed at the dragons. Off in the distance he could see some dragons socializing with some people. But that wasn't what he was after. Walking a little more Len saw the sign: Ride A Dragon!

The sign flashed with neon lights. Seeing there was no line he sprinted over there, like a child going to get candy. Once he arrived at the feet of one of the dragons Len skidded to a halt. The dragon looked down at him, a toothy grin across his face.

"Excuse me Mr...or Ms. dragon? Do you mind if I ride you?"

LOCATION: Aboard the Same Shuttle
WEARING: Space Suit
(DUAL)OBJECTIVE: Talk to a dragon, and affirm he is not dreaming. Find out what is coming their way exactly.

Dimtiri looked across the seats at Alwine, still unsure about what exactly was going on. Having read the dossier on these...dragons, he was not entirely sure the day was not one big lucid dream that he had yet to wake from. Blowing out a breath had him making condensation on his mask, making him growl in annoyance at the thing. He could deal with starfighter helmets, as they usually had a coating on the inside to avoid such things.

These suits however did not seem to have such a thing. Or he was just breathing to dad-gum heavy to actually have the benefits of it.

"These are actual dragons. Actual fethin dragons..." He quietly repeated to himself. "How are we going to house them? The karkin things get big. They just gonna hang out by the asteroids or-?" Cutting himself off with a wave of his hand at the figurative answer as he thought on the scintilla and its available space.

 

[Domino]

There was no bell, the announcer shouted "Begin!" as fireworks made to burn in space shot from a circle around the base of the sphere to ignite in a myriad of color. The action was instant, Domino stepped forward into a crouch from which she launched herself forward and up at her opponent. The dual ion engines of her jetpack screaming to life already set to full power. Domino loved using her jetpack in a vacuum where there was no air resistance to overcome, there was just her own inertia pulling back at her as she raced towards her opponent like an angle rising to meet a demonic beast, hopelessly outclassed yet outstretched spear still burning with defiance.

At the same time the behemoth across from her surged forwards with a flap of its wings as its own repulsor power kicked in. The size of it making any movement appear deceptively slow. A dip in power to one engine sent Domino rolling past a swipe from a clawed hand and she reversed her saberpike with a spinning flourish as she made contact with the dragon. Her attack began just behind his wing as she dragged the ignited saber down his flank behind her as she sped alongside. The announcer was shouting again, or still, she'd stopped paying attention the moment she'd moved to engage but she could guess that he was sperging on about how little effect her saber was actually having. An intentional product of having turned the power of her weapons down as far as possible. This was supposed to be a show, not a death match.

What Domino didn't expect was the flank of the dragon rising up to bulge outwards as he flexed his coils to knock her away. The counter sent her tumbling off towards the sphere's edge as her own momentum was shaken and used against her. Her HUD in combination with the armor's radar showed her the angle she was approaching at, too steep. Another flare of her thrusters pushed her more perpendicular to the walls and she released her grip on the pikestaff, no way was she going to risk snapping a wrist or other injury by trying to hold on. Then she hit and lost all sense of the world as she tumbled and rolled in what was probably a decent example of angular momentum and why spin gravity worked. Around her skidding and tumbling form the fine dust lining the sphere and carefully concealed was kicked up to scatter in the micro-gravity. Any real opponent would have taken the opportunity to pounce and finish her then and there, instead the dragon circled overhead and roared his triumph for the cameras.

OBJECTIVE: Cheer On Domino
LOCATION: Having a drink and watching the show
WEARING: Phase II Haywire Armor with no helmet on top of UL-13 Corporis Skin Suit with helmet

The helmet she typically wore was set aside in this case, holding a beer in one hand while the other rested on the helm as she watched Domino's fight with the dragon start off. An occasional glance over her shoulder at the assembled people all showed they were white knuckled watching the match begin. It wasn't everyday you got to see someone your size square up to a big fethin dragon. The bottle touched her lips, taking a sip before watching the initial tangle as the dragon and Domino began to fight.

Hollering from behind her as Domino landed hits, with some alarmed and even cringing reactions when she was took a hit. Didn't seem the people here in the bar were to keen on making jabbing remarks given the size of the beast Domino was fighting. Sasmay took another sip, watching her friend spin up some dust as she shook her head.

"Come on Domino. You got this." Sasmay spoke to herself, taking another sip of her beer and watching with quiet intensity at the game.

 

[Salem Norongachi]

Objective: Get in the spirit of things.
Location: The Slums, outskirts of Eve.

Here there be dragons, they said and they weren't wrong. The whole Scintilla was abuzz with the coming of the space fairing creatures, they were such a rarity that almost no one had seen them in their lifetimes and practically none in numbers such as this. Salem Norongachi, owner proprietor and all around nice guy, was in the Kark Off a family friendly purveyor of a vast (two) assortment of alcohol to the local denizens of the Slums on the outskirts of the space constructs capital, Eve. At the moment he was eyeballing The Kid, barman and general dogsbody that had the perpetual look of the overworked and oppressed the universe over, who had got it into his brain that a themed drink might be in order for the occasion.

The glass of alcohol sat on the bar, the half-drunk patrons gathered around at a respectful distance and The Kid was focusing all his concentration upon the whiskey glass. He knew it would work, alcohol was flammable of course, he'd seen holovids of more classy bartenders making drinks that, when set alight made quite the spectacle. His boss had tried to explain the delicate process involved in distilling their brand of whiskey (utilizing a homemade still in a shed out the back of Henders house) but he didn't have time for that. The old man was jealous, he just couldn't see beyond his own inability to change. It was time to innovate and so what if the dragons didn't actually breath fire and were more like giant space millipedes.

"Okay." The Kid said with some trepidation to Norongachi who was lounging against the shelves behind him. "Do it."

"You might want to step back-"

"I said do it Old Man!" The Kid snapped, he saw juggling cocktail shakers in his future and glamourous girls in all shades of the rainbow wearing enough cloth between them to make a handkerchief. Yes, he'd revolutionize the Kark, no more these beaten old drunks grunting and drinking their way to the grave. No, it was neon signs and red velvet ropes and if you weren't on the list you weren't getting in.

"You're the boss." Sal replied with a half smile and gave a shooing motion with his hand toward the crowd who dutifully backed up a few steps. He called on the Force, let his minds eye see the oxygen molecules in the air and sent a charge down them with a finger snap. The charge hit the surface of the whiskey, the gout of fire shot upwards, the glass exploded like a fragmentation grenade and The Kid lost his eyebrows. The crowd applauded because they didnt know what was actually supposed to happen anyways and this was as close to a magic show as they were likely to get.

 

[Luna Vega]

Objective: Do lunch and go from there
Location, Location, Location: Scintilla, Mess Hall, Kitchen​

"I've seen that look in your eyes before..." Long fingers drew out a rolled cigarra from between thin lips- the smoke drifting like his words, smooth, casual. Before rolling his shoulders, he added "They're not Churi, lass."

Luna said nothing. At least, not immediately. Tipping her head, chin jutting forward as if in silent defiance, she offered the chef-on-break only the sliver of a smile.

"I mean it, Loon. Those be dragons. DRRAAGGOONNS." That last word he drew out and clipped the syllables to exemplify his less than flippant tone.

"Soooo ayl bey exxxtraa carefal," her head lifted, gray pools leaving the remnants of lunch to hold his eyes.

Lenny's gaze was heavy and laced with disappointment. It was one she was most used to. Still. Vega nearly flinched, but stood in a clumsy motion from the counter and the chair CLANGED against the metal cabinet behind her. All limbs this one. No grace.

"Loon, please."

"Luuk Lehnaaay. Ayahh canno explaaain. Ayahh jus'hav tae doo thas."

Luna Vega feared a lot of things. Apparently, dragons were not on that particular list.

"Just the wee ones, right?" Managed Lenny, knowing there was no talking her out of going. But maybe...

Bright blue braids whipped past her face and she snorted, nostrils flaring. "Hah!"

 

[Domino]

Armament: Lots

Normally Domino would have jumped up immediately to go evasive, as much one could jump up from prone while wearing heavy armor. Today she took advantage of the dramatic nature of their fight to blink her eyes clear and reorganize her limbs. Last minute thruster flares may have lessened the impact but it still felt like tackling a freight train. Above the dragon roared in the silence and posed to show his superiority, a special microphone in his mouth would pick up the vibrations and turn them to noise for those watching.

Slowly she pushed herself back up, got her feet under her and stood, bringing her shoulders back and raising her head at the last moment to give any close-up cameras as dramatic a look as she could. Then she dusted her arms off. She spotted a nearby pallet loaded with bags of duracrete. Someone had told her that there would be stuff scattered around to make things more interesting, like it was an active construction project. This was basically zero-g, and that pallet still had the clear plastic wrap on it. The armor enhanced her strength, the Force pushed it even further as she hoisted the pallet up and threw it up at the dragon above. Not fast enough the duracrete massed too much. She held one of her hands outstretched, pushing it faster with the Force sending it smashing into that smug dragon face.

The behemoth visibly recoiled from the shock almost as if one of his own kind had sucker punched him as the pallet burst open under his eye, scattering bags and powdered duracrete mix across his face. He whipped around to glare death at her but she'd already kicked off and was skimming the surface of the sphere under him, making it awkward for him to retaliate. Twisting around to keep track of her, the dragon received a face-full of blaster fire for his troubles. Domino had drawn the twin automatics from their thigh holsters and was simply mag dumping on him. Her target was so large she needn't even aim.

 

[Balaya Praelior Zambrano]

"Jedi are like tiny gods, that power and sour self-righteousness that sticks in the teeth like fine bones." The voice came out, sothing and almost barely above a whisper so that they had to strain the hear. The Firebirds had crept away from the dark worlds, from the hellish scapes of fire and pain at the edge of the Lilim. The glowing runes on the faces of those around the Moring star as the priestess offered a visual. Pulsing kyber spikes proturding from her face and skull. That was shaved and marred. The flesh growing around them and as she had held her hands up the solari crystals burns. Nails that pierced her hands and then albino with icy blue eyes observed the dragon who had come to see them. The older model ship served mostly as a scout vessel and the Morning star had been musing with one of these space dragons.

"You are unhappy with what has come, trekking across the galaxy finding what you could and yet you desire things you cannot have." He seemed to cross his arms and continue to observe her as the womans grin twisted upwards in a sinister smile. Showing teeth in her grin that went from a knifes edge to massive.... but her voice remained the same. "Why my dear that is what desire is the need for things that we cannot have. The need for what we can touch and have is what's called greed." They continued back and forth as Gorgo her bodyguard crossed her arms. There werre more reports from here... other ships and people among the dragons and she spoke with a raspy voice as the runes on her face glowed in the force. The runes on thei bodies were throughout before she looked out the window. "We will observe, send a scout to try and get among them but do not engage yet. We shall see if they were heretic or convert."

 

[Salem Norongachi]

There was a holo-tv perched on a wall mount just above the shelves behind the bar. It was old, its signal fizzled into static every ten minutes or so and it was so rare an object that when even a wiff of a friendly punch up was on the wind Norongachi or The Kid took it down and smuggled it under armed guard into the storeroom of the bar.

It showed a feed from an arena, where, if you squinted through the current bout of static you could just make out a twi’lek going toe to toe with one of their space-borne visitors. If Jason had seen this Goliath, he’d have packed up his sling and come back with a catapult after a serious round of liquid courage and some peer pressure from his friends. The thing was massive, it was fast, and it didn’t look like it was following the Marquis of Commenors rules on gentlemanly combat.

The few folks in the Kark Off were gathered around the bar, transfixed by the screen, hooting and booing as the action unfolded. The Kid stood off to the side, his newly drawn eyebrows locked in the permanent scowl of a man who had never drawn eyebrows before so he’d gone for the best approximation. Sal rarely laughed but everytime he caught the diagonal slashes of ink out of the corner of his eye a smirk stormed the battlements.

“She just did that…” Skippy, one eyed and mechanical handed, old man and regular snapped the fingers on his natural hand as he sought the word. “The wotsit. That thing you do to people who gets a bit too happy.” he looked around for aid and the Kark provided.

“Break a wrist?”

“Or a leg?”

“That was only the once,” Sal added.

“Lift them into the air and spin them around and around until they vomits?”

“I apologized for that...stood the guy a round didn’t I..” he frowned but he had to admit it was a cruel and unusual punishment for bad singing.

“Popped his all togethers with that brain thing he does sometimes?”

“Now hold on, I never did that!” Norongachi said, affronted, until he saw The Kid nodding solemnly under a storm of artificial eyebrows and crossing his legs involuntarily.

“Aye! The brain thing! That little lady just did that thing on them big bits of stuff, clocked that big bastard a good’un.” Skip announced, almost bouncing up and down in his seat as his one good eye took in the spectacle of the dragon giving chase and eating blaster bolts like they were nothing.

 

[Domino]

The rapid automatic fire kept up, stopping only to reload when the blasters ran dry, as Domino zipped backwards along the curved surface of the sphere. Her feet kicked up a trail of dust as she wove between the debris scattered about, the dragon had turned about and had began his pursuit easily catching up to and passing her. He landed ahead of her and the tremors that sent through the ground could be seen in the cloud it kicked up in the vacuum. Domino turned in time to see one of the behemoth's wings extending towards her and boosted towards it while lifting her feet, once again driving herself into the wall to slide beneath the massive appendage.

This time when she closed, she tossed a pair of clustered canisters at her opponent and swept her flamethrower over them and the scaled flank beyond. The canisters were two of the reload nodules for the flamethrower and they burst in an impressive wave of fire, burning bright and hot as the oxygen bonded napalm exploded over the dragon. This time when he roared it was in surprise. Behind her visor Domino let herself smile while bits of burning fuel rained around and onto her armor. She could have swatted it out, but instead left it to add to the visuals where it burned on the thicker plates.

 

[Sasmay Cull]

There was a smile on her face, watching Domino give as dramatic a performance as she could. Having seen the woman work on Rodia, this almost made her laugh aloud when she looked so dynamic. The duracrete trick was neat, and she would have to remember that as she took a sip of her drink and watched her skate across the sphere. The laser fire and attempted tracking by the dragon only added to the drama of watching the pair square off with each other. The flamethrower display was also a neat trick, and the dragon's surprise was one of genuine merit as the reload canisters exploded.

"Holy kriff."
"Sheesh, she is going at it huh?"

"Fethin right she is, and looking good doing it." Sasmay chuckled and shook her head, a pair of faces watching her for a quiet moment.

 

[Salem Norongachi]

Objective: Watch fight night.
Location: The Kark Off.

“What’s that rocket twi’leks name?” asked Skippy while he swerved his body empathically out of the way of an imaginary dragon, his beer sloshing onto the bar and dripping to the floor.

“Didn’t catch it.” another drunk responded then screamed BOOOOOOOOOO as the dragon gave chase. “Get em Rocket Girl! Kill that frakker!

“Draaaaaaagon booooooooooooooy, Draaaaagon boyyyyyyyyyyyyy” a nearby barfly chanted and a few others joined in rhythmically pointing at the holoscreen, they had no way of knowing the sex of the multi-segmented and currently aflame creature but boy seemed to sound linguistically better in the throes of drunken support.

Salem watched the goings on and started to notice the divide brewing in the room, the battle lines were being drawn one cheer at a time and Norongachi was quietly marking down the seconds until trouble bubbled to the surface.

“Rockeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttt girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrllllll, Rocketttttttttttttt girrrrrrrrrlllllll” Skippy yelled, his hands around his mouth like a bullhorn, attempting to drown out the opposition.

“Kid,” Sal said out of the corner of his mouth. “When I give the signal, you grab the tv and save yourself.”

“Already…?” he whined, he was enjoying the fight as much as everyone else.

“Already.” Sal sighed and poured himself a drink.

In taking her vows as a disciple of the Eight Arrows Sect, there were many things that she had sworn herself off of. Drinking was among them, but that didn’t mean that she was prohibited from going to bars, especially for matters pertaining to her duties in the sect, which took her to the slums more often than she liked. Serving the poor was a big part of the Eight Arrows’ mission, and unfortunately, while the Scintilla was extremely wealthy, they didn’t have to travel far outside of it to find those that were in need of charity. Even so, Chassella couldn’t help but to feel a slight sense of disgust in working with them. Of course, she pitied them and wished that their situations would improve, but she did not want to stand in their presence for longer than she was obligated to. She would much rather be in the monastery, honing her mind and body into a lethal weapon to eradicate the sprawling empires of the galaxy and to advance Discordia’s divine mission.

Fortunately, her duties were quite different that night.

Clad in her Force-imbued outfit and bearing an assortment of weapons on her hips, Chassella was by no means an indistinct figure as she entered The Kark Off, although the attention of most of the patrons was directed towards the gladiatorial match on the Holo TVs. Her gaze briefly wandered to a nearby screen, taking in the spectacle of a comparatively diminutive Rutian Twi’lek facing off against a massive dragon. She didn’t pay it more attention than that, before turning her attention towards the patrons.

It was in bars like this where groups like the Mynocks and similar assorted gangsters hung out in large numbers. In addition, even without any sensitivity to the Force, she could already feel the tension thick in the air. Whether it was a pair of rival gangs preparing to face off or drunkards on the verge of losing their paper-thin patience, Chassella could feel that something in the room was about to explode. Unfortunately, that would potentially affect her ability to fulfill her objective in entering a seedy bar in the first place.

With a deep breath, Chassella moved to take a seat at the bar, her eyes taking in the bright green eyes of the man working the counter.

Unfortunately, if it came to violence, she would have to call her search off for the night.

 

[Domino]

Domino flipped over the still burning portion of the dragon, discarded blasters tumbling away to free up an outstretched hand pulling her pikesaber back to it. The other wing rose to meet her and this time it swatted her away with the fleshy membrane part which, Domino reflected, wasn't the worst way to take a hit from anything measured by the kilometre. Still it powered her out away from the safety of the sphere wall and tumbling into the vast emptiness of the interior. "And like that he's on the offensive again! Domino can't seem to act against such raw aggression!"

This time the dragon was faster as he twisted and pushed off the surface, closing with Domino as she caught her pike mid tumble. Then he caught her himself surprisingly gentle between two great claws. Each of his fingers was easily three times her size and she knew she was along for the ride as he brought them back to the wall. on the screens it looked like he slammed her flat into the durasteel enclosure as the cameras pulled a wide shot of his upper body. "Oh no, oh no! This is terrible!" Conscious of their game however, he'd slammed his talons into the ground first, distorting it angrily before pressing her to it. Her saber was trapped under the two claws holding her, pressing it into the armor covering her chest as she struggled in vain. "He has her! There's no escape!"

He then lifted his head back, a swirling fiery tempest inside his maw. "No! what is he doing!? Nobody could survive that! It kills battleships! Somebody stop him!" As he arched back, the rear of the foot holding Domino rose slightly as well, his chance to let Domino escape. Instead she hiked up, tucking her knees in behind the haft of her pikesaber and grabbing it two-handed just as his head swung back down to unleash his dragonfire. It was brilliant, blinding almost as it washed over her, blasting away and scouring the arcing walls around the duo as the detritus and scattered terrain of there fight were simply blasted into nothingness. Outside a camera showed the place his fires were hitting begin to glow before exploding outward in a fiery cone of molten durasteel. For once the announcer was as silent as the space around the sphere as they all watched the gout of seemingly endless flame in the silence that had followed the roar of the contact mics of Domino's armor burning away.

Ray had just arrived and a stiff drink sounded good. Thunderdome was still mad at Ray for some reason and as of yet, he had not figured out what he did or Why the droid locks itself in the charge room when Ray looks for it. He would make an effort to talk to the little droid when he got back aboard the ship and work out why the droid was mad. for now he needed booze and comradery.

The streets of the slums were busy and Ray knew for sure he would get mugged if he stayed out in the alleys too long. He knew Sals place was just ahead and while he would not be safe there he could get a drink and maybe keep from getting stabbed. He walked tot the door and pulled it open. The scene in the hellish establishment was more hellish than normal. "What the trek" said Ray as he took in the scene and the goings-on in the room before him.

"Nope I would rather get stabbed," said Ray as he turned and walked out the door back into he alleyway and eminent death.

Alwine nodded once, smiling beneath her protective helmet. Gods, she loathed the thing; but were it not for the fact that they were going to hold a meeting in actual space, and not inside a space station, or ship, or on a planet, she accepted that she pretty much needed it for her own protection. Not being able to breathe sounded like a very illogical thing to purposefully do, and being dismantled by the vacuum of space… Well, she'd seen what it looked like. It was hardly a pretty sight.

"Our scientists have already drafted several ideas," Alwine answered Dimitri Lindzinsky as he posed his question, "It seems most of them are in favor of a hollow sphere; one that the dragons can enter and leave freely, without any gravity, but with a few things attached to the foundations. If we make them one the size of Eve's sphere, it should be large enough to contain a hefty number of them. Granted, mostly the small ones, but some of the three kilometer long ones too."

The shuttle the two of them - as well as any others who might have joined - began its landing sequence. Magnetic boots had been given to all those who'd come along, to make sure they could actually walk once they were on the disc. Floating around could've been fun, but that was a hobby best saved for a very different sort of a day.

From the window, Alwine could already see that a few dragons were there, one of them being large enough that she could not even see where his tail ended.

Against her better judgement, she rose from her seat before the landing sequence ended, earning a near loss of balance. Thankfully, she was still nimble and animated enough to be able to move with the drugs in her system, and there was not a chance in the 'verse that she would be willing to give it up.

Inside of her, Alwine wanted to scream and shout like the child she was never given the opportunity to be. She had to actively stop herself from grabbing Dimitri by the arm and screaming come on come on come on come on, but for once, she did not deny to her heart that this was what she wanted to do.

"We are making history today," she beamed, despite her petite and very strict posture, as the door opened, and out she walked.

Her boots were working. She wasn't flying randomly anywhere. She was safe.

Leading the group, Alwine walked until she came to a stop before the large dragon, and bowed in sign of respect.

"Greetings, Me'lech, leader of clan Le'tahout clan," the speaker released the sound. She wasn't certain about the technical aspects of it - space was meant to be silent, and there was nothing to carry her sound over, but the giant dragon bowed his head to her, which meant that he was somehow hearing it, "I am Alwine Daye, Head of Speakers within the Agents of Chaos. I have come today to speak with the voice of Discordia as we find the way to bring the Duinuogwuin colony into existence on the Scintilla. With me are men and women, brave warriors, fighters, pilots, who have been a crucial part to helping the Agents of Chaos bring our message across the galaxy."

Some people ran away from dragons.

Some people killed dragons with swords.

Some people wore boots made of dragon hide.

But not her. No, not her.

Scherezade stood on top of a ship that was gently floating towards the galaxy's edge, a proud smile on her face. Not that anyone could see that smile. Her face was, for a change, covered by a helmet. Heck, she was wearing, above her usual stuff, a full space suit to make sure she didn't float. And while magnetic boots made sure she wouldn't separate from the ship's hull, there was also an umbilical cord of sorts keeping her attached to the ship. They already had to pull her back three times to make sure she wouldn't swim away.

Still, anyone who had chosen to come with Scherezade on this mission had been warned in advance that they were not going to handle this in the typical fashion. The ship they had come with was a large one, and it had some pretty hefty shields, but had held no armaments. There was no time for those. Instead, the entire insides had been filled with… something else.

The thing was, that fighting a seven kilometer dragon was not only dangerous, but hard. Even ships that size were hard to come by for almost anyone in the 'verse, and with that tough hide it was going to take bringing back too much of their fire power from the edges of their territory to get it down. So instead, a different plan had been formed.

She shivered with anticipation. Soon… Soon!

"Everyone get ready for operation suits off," she spoke into the comms. And was very certain that at least five different people had just facepalmed.
