He had just dropped off the recording he had made regarding the hidden repository he had found. Not something that he was planning, but it was necessary. This was not just a vault, but a network, they HAD to know. They being, the Jedi Order.

Heh

It was so weird for Connel to think of those words, what with the fall of the Core to the Galactic Empire and all, but he had since been fighting in and from the shadows. It felt right, it felt good, it felt necessary. He felt necessary, but soon, all too soon, all that seemed to matter was “the next fight”. It was becoming self defeating.

He was not his father, Caltin, Connel knows he will die alone, and in a fight. Maybe that is why he is pushing himself so hard “if I am going down, I am going to do as much good as I can”. Maybe that is what brought him here, not just the quest to find out the Reality, His, Reality of the Force, but the road itself. Maybe that is why he was still here.

Yeah, it’s still “Naboo”, so many “Richie Rich”s…

What is a “Richie Rich”?]

Doesn’t matter. The planet was not his favorite, but for some reason, he felt the need to stay. To do right by it, somehow. This was not the Force telling him, the Force was telling him to follow his path, but something else?

He was about to walk onto the landing pad of The Null Vector when Connel inexplicably turned around and headed back to the Temple.

Maybe they can use my help… maybe not… never hurts to ask.

Kuhbee's paws slapped softly against the polished stone floors of the Naboo Temple, claws clicking just a little too loud for proper Jedi decorum, but he didn't care. The moment had hit him like a spark through the Force.

Familiar. Warm. Safe.

His ears perked beneath his braids and his dark eyes went wide. He knew that presence. He'd felt it on missions, in training chambers, in quiet corners of the Temple meditating.

Connel Vanagor was here.

With an excited chirr and an unmistakably happy Wookiee rumble, Kuhbee took off down the halls, robes flapping behind him as he weaved past startled Padawans and amused Knights. His long strides ate up the distance as the Force tugged him forward like a playful current, guiding him closer and closer.

He skidded around a corner, and nearly bowled Connel over in his enthusiasm. Kuhbee skidded to a stop just in time, letting out a delighted roar that echoed down the corridor, arms already lifting for an unmistakable Wookiee greeting.

It had been too long.

And for a young Jedi still learning his place in the galaxy, there were few joys greater than recognizing a friend through the Force, and getting to say hello face to face

Breathing in deeply, Aileni felt the beads of sweat dripping from his brow and dropping slowly onto the ground. He had to maintain his focus as best that he could, making sure to ignore the burning sensation in his arm as he held his body up. One handed handstand was something that Aileni hadn't been able to achieve before but with his body getting stronger, more agile, things that felt unachievable were not more possible.

His other hand was reaching forward, levitating smoothed rocks and stacking them one on top of the other. It was nothing that felt complicated when Aileni had heard of the lesson but the ability to concentrate on multiple elements. It was tougher than he had initially thought. But it was also a good way to centre himself. He had been doing some combat training but had to stop as his body heated up and emotions bubbling up. So, conducting the meditative stances like this helped Aileni realigned.

Settling the final rock in place, Aileni let out a relieved sigh and dropped from the handstand in a controlled manner.

Aileni rose to his feet, grabbing a towel and wiping his face. "I still feel some of the itch but at least it has cooled down more." There was a second relieved sigh from him as he hated when things felt less in his control. Hydrating himself deeply. Grabbing the tattered brown hoodie, it was something that had gotten beaten, singed and stretched beyond belief. But Aileni kept it since the cloak was the first item of clothing he got when Aileni became a Jedi.

Exiting the training areas, Aileni figured it would be fun to check out the ports, see what ships are coming in and out. It was relaxing to see them go about their business but Aileni also thought about the way the ships were controlled and how they flew. He was still developing his piloting skills and knew how important it was as a skill to have while training as a Jedi Shadow. As he arrived, a crowd was gathering around and it seemed that an old familiar face was returning to the temple.

Aileni wandered over and saw Connel once again. Aileni shoved his hands in his pockets and nodded his head over to the Jedi Knight.
