Fish People and Jedi Oh My!

The skiffs were pulling out from the minefield, which she was thankful of. The ineptitude of the Selkath leaders would not have been a good way for her to die. It would be such a waste of service, and the Force seldom wasted individuals that served it faithfully. It was probably why she was not dead now. The thought made her sigh. These Selkath... impossible language and no strategic bones in their bodies. Did they have bones? She kind of gave one a glance. It could be kind of sharklike and just have a lot of cartilage? Maybe? She was not one concerned with physiology though.

However, what pleased her was the fact that a group of Republic gunships were descending upon the location of the skiff battle. With a call she requested a few of them to move to the skiffs to pick up any Jedi or republic soldiers on them. When one landed on the deck of her ship, she jumped on board with the few others on the ship that were not Selkath. With that she was moving towards the pirate base again.

Swimming through the waters, their destination approached, hopefully they would rendezvous with Darron, Mak, and Lysander but for now they were on their own. He trusted in A'donnari enough to do his own thing on this mission, for so long he had done whatever Ben had asked of him, now he was a Knight and capable of doing his own things. A'donnari's Padawan, though, Ben knew nothing about. He was new to the Jedi Order and he was still learning, but under the tutelage of A'donnari, he would excel quickly. "Take out the droids and we will sneak into the city. Our goal is to meet up with Darron and his group without causing a ruckus."

Once they got half way up the passage the water came to an end. A'donari took to his feet walking up out of the water while pulling off his helmet and tossing it down. He didn't suspect he would be needing it once again if all ended the way they planned. He pulled out his tentacles from the back of his suit. They hung limply behind his head while stretching out again, the feeling couldn't be described, as he got to the top of the ramp that brought them to a small hanger only inhabited by service droids.

A'donari felt for his Lightsaber that was still resting in a thigh pocket that was woven into the water resistant fabric. "Take out the droids and we will sneak into the city. Our goal is to meet up with Darron and his group without causing a ruckus." said Ben who was behind him walking beside Damon.

"Me? Cause a ruckus?" he said before opening the door with the force and moving into the hallway. He knew that they were after intl which was located in the control mainframe for the city. It was eight levels down and a good distance to the west of their location. Getting there would take some time but there was no choice. Just being inside the city was a miracle of the Force.

______

Every corner and hallway began to look the same to him. He didn't know how any of the citizens dealt with the constant metallic grey day in and day out. Suddenly he felt it. He turned to Ben who was still behind him next to A'donari's Padawan. "Two Magna Droids." while he pulled his lightsaber and spoke to Damon, "Stay behind us at a good distance and stay alert. This will be easy."

After his last word was spoken he moved around the corner and ignited his lightsaber while releasing his thoughts into the sea of the Force. It took control and he felt his body taken to the beginning form of Soresu. From within he could feel the droids limbs twitch as it moved towards the Ben and himself. From it's advance he knew the droid was foolish and only programmed to attack with mad ferocity. It could never match A'donari's speed or strength though he wasn't going to allow that to cloud his mind. He moved through his sequences blocking two attacks with as little movement as possible opening the droid to an attack but A'donari recognized that it wasn't worth the risk of exposing himself. Again the droid attacked without fear and he capitalized. With more force he blocked the attack sending the droids arm away sloppily exposing it's head which was taken from it's shoulders in the blink of an eye.

She looked out the side of the gunships as it flew over the minefield. The pirate water skiffs below fired up at them. Most of the fire was from blasters and the like so little was of great threat. Fighter coverage was helping with the airspeeders that threatened the gunship transports. The looming hulk of what was an acclimator got closer to them. Well, it clearly was no longer and Acclimator. It looked more like a quick fix to the problem of how to make an island on a planet covered in water. It was a smart one, she had to give them that. The Acclimator had been used in aquatic combat scenarios in its day because of its ability to stay atop the ocean.

The frame of the acclimator was present, but building a top it had been clearly added. Docks along the side as well. Some other additions and subtractions had been made to it as well. In fact, Selena was pretty certain it was not flight worthy anymore from what she was seeing. All was calm, to an extent of course, but then they got in range of the batteries on the Acclimator. That kind of changed the feel as the amount of laser fire in the air increased in lethal force.

However, the pilot of her gunship was good. She had to give him that. He got out of fire rather well, and landed their ship down at the edge of the dock additions rather easily.

Ben moved briskly past the droids destroyed bodies. A'donary picked up the electro staff that one of them had wielded and handed it to his padawan knowing that he could use the weapon with ease from his training as a child.

They took off down the hallways of the city making their way towards the cities control sector. From there it would be like traveling through a maze of doors and small rooms leading to seemingly nowhere. For now there was no presence of life or droid alike for as far as A'donari could reach bringing a sense of unease.

Delila wasn't stopping the politician, despite his somewhat kind words.Apparently he had a body guard and making this decision out of his own free will. Not liking most of the politicians within their Senate, it would be of little loss to her if the man got shot. Harsh reality perhaps but there was no way she was risking any of the lives of the 73rd over this. He seemed to be handling the weapons with ease anyways.

"Alright, I still want about six of you in the swimmer to go under the city and check. Pirates could be floating down there causing even more trouble, meet up at the generator, we'll keep in touch"

Delila started taking the other soldiers down the side of the city, keeping to the streets along the ocean. It was slow going but they were soon rewarded. Out of the chaos in the city pirates were clearly trashing a power sub-station.

"Two lines, lets take these guys out. Circle around and make sure their friends are hiding in alleys as backup" As soon as the words left her mouth a volley of fire started and soldiers pounded the duracrete to shielded positions or to flush more out in the alleys as instructed.

The Force overtook the Jedi Master, and his electrum plated hilts flew to his hands instantly. With reflexes born from intensive training and focus honed through years of battle, Darron Wraith took to battle. A snap-hiss emanated from both of his hilts as his sky-blue blades came to life, and he became the center of a storm. With each step his blades moved to the precise spot to bat them back on those who had sent the shots at him. It was a dizzying display of precision and power, and he was truly showing why he was considered the best swordsman of the Jedi Order. As he navigated the penumbra of the darkside, he soon left his companions behind as he rushed forward.

"Mak, Lysander. Take the other path, I can handle this myself!"

His orders were quite clear, and the Jedi Master took to slicing the droids as they finally got within striking distance of him.

The three Jedi ran through the halls for another few minutes until reaching the Sector that they had been looking. Now the hunt begins A'donari thought to himself while sprinting through the door that opened for the three of them.

The hall looked exactly the same except each door was marked with a single marking. "Ben you take this side we'll start on the right." he said while he turned with his padawan towards the first door which opened to A'donari's command through the force.

Down the hallways they ran, he could feel Darron's presence on the island, and they needed to get to him. But they had one little thing to take care of where they were, a few hostages, and Ben was not going to leave them while they were this close. Running through the door, they ran upon a group of pirates and droids, all standing around a group of scientists who were in the middle of the room. They were caught off guard by him, but he was quick, the force aiding him he practically vanished from his spot and reappeared behind the two pirates who Ben quickly disarmed and knocked to the ground. "Free the hostages Damon, A'donnari help me tie these three up. Darron is on the island and our mission is to regroup with him."

Taking care of the group around him, Darron Wraith deactivated one of his lightsaber hilts. Quickly moving to get further into the facility, he activated his comm-unit as he made his way up a nearby ladder. "Hey Ben, about how many minutes away would you guess you guys are? I say we link up at the droid command center, then proceed to take care of Baylore."

Magna-Guards suddenly appeared around him, and Darron kept his comm short as he got in a defensive stance. The electro-staffs around him activated, and the lull before the battle would only last so long.

"Did I mention he has dark Jedi working for him?"

Then all the droids lunged at him.

Damon, A'donari, and Ben came upon a room full of hostages guarded by droids and pirates. Damon was taken aback when he saw Ben take out the pirates with no trouble whatsoever. He was then ordered to free the hostages and was stricken with anxiety as this was his first true mission. He then remembered back to the words of his master and calmed down and let the force dictate his actions.
He saw 2 remaining droids at the far end of the room and quickly burst into action. He thought he would take them by surprise by launching his vibro staff at them, then suddenly he used the force to leap forward with great speed catching up to the staff in mid air and close lining the two remaining droids to the ground. He then proceeded to disable the droids and reported back to his master and Ben to free the hostages.

A'donari didn't move towards the droids having full confidence in his padawan. He had seen the amount of raw ability his student had within but his brash fighting style made him uneasy. In the blink of an eye the droids were downed while he bound the hands and feet of the unconscious pirates with Ben before standing and moving to the hostages.

"We are Jedi here to help. Please remain calm and follow us. We're taking you to safety." A'donari stated while connecting with the scientists minds with his tentacles and filling them with a calming sensation of the light side of the force.

Looking back to Ben, "They understand we're friendly and will follow us to safety. Just lead the way."

Ben helped to free the hostages as his comm lit up and he heard Darron. "We can be there in five minutes, meet you there." Ben finished up and he looked at A'donnari as he spoke to the scientist. "Darron is will meet us at the droid command center, we have lots of droids and dark Jedi to take care of. Looks like you get to see plenty of action on your first mission, Damon." Ben nodded and he motioned for them to follow him out of the room. There was really no safe place for them to go to safety, so Ben stopped by a door and opened it, motioning for the Scientist to get in.

"There is no safety, they will have to lock themselves in here while we free the base."

Damon shuddered with anxiousness at Ben's mention of the dark jedi they were sure to face. This would be his first encounter with dark side users since the death of his parents and for a brief moment he was filled with determination to destroy them. He quickly realized that he must free his mind of such notions and put his mind back to the task at hand.

Once the hostages were all locked away in the room they began to make their way down the corridor to aid Darron. Along the way they came across several battle droids blocking their path. Damon realized the haste of their mission and decided to make short work of them. One by one Damon lunged at each droid with what appeared to them as near blinding speed. He skillfully used his vibro staff to take each one of them down and some were completely destroyed. As they grew closer and closer to Darron's location, Damon could begin to sense the malevolence of the dark jedi. Damon pressed on with unyielding determination.

Crash, Crash!!!!

Sky blue blades met the electro-staffs head on, and he matched their mechanical ferocity and intensity. Years of training, and his skill with the Force made him appear to be encased in a cage of light. With the naked eye it appeared that he was fighting with dozens of blades such was his speed. For ever two staffs that flew at him, a couple more pieces of steel crashed to the ground from his powerful strikes. The only advantage the Magna-Guards had originally had was the weight of their numbers, and he was thinning them out like a gardener would weed his garden. This is too easy, he thought to himself in the middle of a stab to one of the droid's chests.

Then more came.

Moving through the small halls with Ben and Damon, A'donari used the moving form of Serosu to his advantage. Droids came and went before the three Jedi but none of them stopped. Instead the deadly peace keepers seemingly mowed through them. Each step A'donari took while encountering a new battle droid was in response to the attack they had chosen to try. No matter the strike A'donari used their attack against them sending them off balance before landing a lethal precise blow.

The force stirred as they moved down the hallways. No doubt towards the dark Jedi that Darron had spoken of. He prepared himself but found that he was already wrapped in the force as it guided him. His body was free of pain and he knew that was crucial for the outcome of the coming battle. For Darron to be overwhelmed meant bad news was on their horizon. The thought made him worry about his Padawan but he knew he could handle it. The boy was more gifted than himself at his age and he would have been able to handle himself in like situations.

Fighting through the droids, the three of them were getting closer to Darron, and he seemed to be surrounded by droids. He could handle himself but, so could Ben, and even he enjoyed a little bit of help from time to time. "Darron is just up ahead!" Ben called out as he casually sliced a droid in half. What was with all these droids lately? Seemed like everywhere he went he was fighting more and more droids. Spotting a ladder, Ben leaped, grabbing hold of the ladder and climbing it with blazing speed. Darron was just at the top. Getting to the top, he smirked, seeing Darron surrounded by droids. "Trouble seems to find you at every corner, doesn't it?" He smiled and then leaped into action, assisting Darron.

They were drawing closer and closer to Darron's location mowing through every droid that dared to cross their path. While realizing that they were on a very serious mission, Damon could not help but subtly admit to himself that he was enjoying the battle and all the experience he was getting from the two great jedi in his company.

Suddenly he saw Ben leap forward to a nearby ladder and begin to climb it. It was at this moment that he felt the jedi grand master's presence for the first time. It was astonishing and Damon was overcome with excitement to see him for the first time. He ascended the ladder and once he reached the top of the building he saw Darron and was immediately awestruck. The Grand Master was locked in a furious battle with countless droids but was handling them with ease. It was certainly a site to see and Damon was both humbled and excited at the notion of fighting alongside him.

Darron effortless got back to back with ben, and a grin crossed his handsome face. They were the two opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to ligthsaber combat, and it was quite the display as they diligently took care of the droids. Ben's defense paired with Darron's offense was putting a quick end to the opposition, and soon they were just standing among a pile of wreckage. Again he deactivated one of his blades and clipped the hilt to his waist as he awaited the other two Jedi to come fully join them. Turning to Ben, he gave his fellow Jedi Master a quick pat on the back as he heard the other's footsteps grow nearer. A smile was about to cross his face, but Darron turned and burped rather quietly before facing them.

A quick bow proceeded him speaking to the three before him.

"I'm Darron Wraith, you two may have heard of me. Your names are? Are we all familiar with the mission objectives?"

Selena and a few Jedi surged onto the docks. Pirates were ready for them, but she could already see her target. It was a large vent that had been altered into a pathway into the guts of the ship. The perfect entrance point for the team. This was one of the rare instances where her finger was not constantly on the ignition button of her lightsaber. Deflecting blaster bolts required her to dip out of her normal style of unpredictability.

Her group of four Jedi moved forward batting away bolts with ease. Some opponents fell when the perfect deflection was possible. Behind her came the Republic troops. The efficiency that could be seen on this dock was a joy to her. Having just been with the inept Selkath fighting force, this is what she was used to. She could imagine her being dead right now if this had been the Selkath.
