(First Time) LF Basic Force Teachings or Character Development

[Cecilia Wissen]

Hey guys, this is my first ever character in this SWRP forum, and while I've played a bit of RP in other formats(D&D ect.), I've never done anything like this. As such, I don't really know where I want to take Cecilia Wissen, so I'm more than open to invites to things different from my current idea, wherein Cecilia tries to learn more about the force, after being told she was force sensitive two years ago.

If you have other ideas, here's a general idea of Cecilia's qualifications:

• Proficient in mechanical engineering and biology from her studies in [space college]
• A desire to be prepared for any situation has left Cecilia with a variety of skills in areas that most people would consider useful. While far from a savant in these areas(I'm not the noob who makes the op char don't worry), she knows enough about electronical systems, mechanics, and how things general work to consistently solve common problems and fix minor damages to whatever ship, weapon, or facility needs some love.
• Her matriarchal society[Hapan] left her with great self confidence and reliance, and while she certainly doesn't hate men, she'd rather not have one telling her what to do. [This is an IC preference, not an OOC one, don't be dissuaded, just prepared.

I'm more than willing to take Cecilia in any direction, and to be frank, without connections or leads in an unfamiliar galaxy and running low on credits, so is she.

Amilthi is currently a Jedi travelling the galaxy (and maybe losely associated with a nascent order) who could have a bit of a chat with her about this whole force sensitivity business and whether she wants to develop it.

Both of these sound interesting, and if [member="Natalie LaForte"] needs a biologist, I see no reason that Cecilia would not be interested, regardless of the outcome of any conversation she might have with [member="Amilthi Camlenn"] .

I don't know how this works from here, and is it okay if one character is participating in multiple RPs at the same time? Or is that a no go for the obvious reason that one cannot be in two places simultaneously. I would be interested in any of these interactions, although like I said I don't know what to do from here. Thanks!

As for being in multiple threads simultaneously OOC, it's usually not a problem since IC is usually acknowledged to be taking place at different times.

Yes, of course you can have several threads going at the same time. Otherwise we would all go crazy and never get to move anything forward. People either decide for themselves where the threads are located in their character's timeline or, when the threads are entirely independent, leave that unspecified. For example, I currently have a thread where Amilthi is going on a journey to a particular place for a particular purpose, but also another thread that happens after the end of that journey.

Thane here is an old Jedi. 220 years in fact. He has more or less had a time in exile. In his time alone, he learned to be self sufficient, which includes mechanical work to keep his ship repaired. Also is confident in teaching the ways of the Force.

I do realize the difficulty ahead with a Hapan female student, especially one like you suggest. But while he is gruff, blunt, and grandfatherly...he does have a notion of patience.

I could always use an intern. We pay in experience. And occasionally by viciously beating you down in melee to teach you how to fight.

And by we, I mean me, since karking everyone else is Jedi or less evil ish than me. But heart of gold... maybe silver. So y'know.
