Ara Zambrano
Sarathiel Ren
Ara nodded politely to both, her eyebrow winging up at the curt greeting from the woman. She chuckled darkly, releasing [member="Kaalia Voldaren"]'s arm for the first time since entering. "I apologize if I interrupted something. I assumed the way this gentlemen was staring, he was interested in conversation." Her tone was a light purr and she turned her gaze back to the Hapan in front of her, a smile curling her lips up softly.
She returned his bow with a polite nod. "No apology needed. A lady always likes to feel appreciated. I have never been to Hapes, unfortunately. If I had, I'm sure I wouldn't have forgotten someone as lovely as you." She gave him an appraising glance from his dress uniform up to the chiseled features, lingering for a moment on the scar. She smile grew, the expression one of appreciation of the view in front of her, the scar not a deterrent, but a symbol of his dedication to their cause.
She smiled slyly at her friend as the man tried to put Kaalia at ease, knowing it would do little good. "I'm sure she'll get over her nerves better if she has someone lovely to dance with, or another drink." Her eyes twinkled with mischief.
She offered a hand as she introduced herself. "A pleasure to meet you Captain Draken. Thank you for your service. I am Ara." She chuckled softly and brushed her long hair back over one shoulder.
"Honestly, I am surprised to see another Hapan myself. It seems we are few and far between." She sipped from her flute of champagne and handed the empty glass off to a passing waiter. "Would you care to dance, Captain?"
Quickly glancing at the two other women, she shrugged sheepishly. "If you both don't mind of course." Her expression dared Kaalia to stay and converse with the woman. "And why don't you get another drink?" She glanced at the almost empty flute in her friend's hand.
As she turned, confident that the man would accept her request, she spotted [member="Connor Harrison"] conversing with an unknown woman. If he glanced her direction, she'd offer a knowing smile and a wink.
Another unknown gentleman approached and Ara paused, her smile practically blinding. She nodded respectfully and laughed. "Good evening. I'm afraid you know our names, but I don't know yours."
