Family Time on Kesh

[member="Evania Charr"]

Hours after he turned his head to look at the console nearby and stood lowly as the ship would be comping out of hyperspace soon and he would need to contact [member="Feena Mason"] the moment he was out of hyperspace. Granted though there would be a few seconds till he had to do that and he looked at Evania again before moving to make sure the covers were still over her and she was not cold. Once that was done the warning came too him and the ship started to come out of hyperspace. It was time for him to get her cured. "Naboo control, i need permission in order to allowed entrance into the Palace. My name is Solan Charr, do explain to your queen it is important." Now he waited, he could have just gone to the commercial spaceport but every moment was important.

Evania yawned and slowly blinked her eyes open. She looked around the room, and seeing her father was not there she slowly got out of bed. There was blood around her mouth and splattered on the blanket from coughing as she slept, but she paid little attention to it. Instead she grabbed the blanket off the bed, wrapped it around her shoulders and held it there with one and hand, and began searching for her father. She finally found him and sat down in a chair near him, still wearing the blanket like a cloak to stay warm. [member="Solan Charr"]

The Eternal Queen
"Solan Charr? Yes, I know him. Why? Did he miss me or something? I really don't have time for friendly meetings, you know."

"He did not say, your Majesty."
Maraea Devala was hands down, Feena's favorite handmaiden. The girl was smart, swift and capable. She knew what the Queen wanted before she wanted it and knew how to get things done for her in a matter of hours that would normally take weeks. Yes. Maraea was something spectacular. So for her to admit she did not know something about an incoming visitor was stunning.

"Well... I don't suppose he would be stupid enough to bother me unless it was very important. Have him escorted to the hangar bay. Then the usual. Search and confiscate all weapons before inviting him in. I'm a very busy woman today, so I will have to keep it breif."

The handmaiden bowed and left to pass on the Queen message.

"...Permission to land granted. Stand by for escort."

Solan heard the words and waited for the escort as commanded, only then leaning back and looking to his right as he noticed Evania was up. "Angel, what are you doing out of bed? We should be landing soon... i guess its ok you are up. Did you cough at all Evania?" He looked at his daughter, unable to see the bit of blood on the blanket, but getting up and wiping cleaning the blood as he saw it on her mouth. Only when the escorts appeared did he blink and turn back to the controls, easing the ship down into the air above Theed and then into the hanger itself, this process would take a few minutes granted.

In that time he spoke to his daughter as he looked at her. "I need you to get dressed Evania, im not sure what you brought but get something nice on. You are going to meet one of my older friends today. She has a daughter too, a bit older than you though and im not sure where her kid is most of the time." He kept tabs on his friends, but not on their kids. Only once Evania was ready to go and dressed would Solan leave the ship with his daughter, taking no weapons with him as he did not need to.

Evania walked back to the room her bag was in and openned it. She put on the dress Solan had bought for her the day he had found her on Nar Shadda. It was blue with white trim and small red bow on the front. There was a white sash tied around her waist and a small black ribbon in her hair, keeping her long red locks from falling into her face. She strode back to her father's side and gently tugged at his shirt. "Is this okay daddy?" [member="Solan Charr"] [member="Feena Mason"]

He looked over his daughter for a few moments before nodding and walking with her through the halls of the palace. He was looking for the one woman he game here to see and the place he expected her to be was in her throne room or on the balcony. And seeing as the former of the two was closer he headed for it. He reached out though with the force to let it guide him until he got to feena herself. All the while he would hold his daughter close and make sure she was ok, it wouldnt take long to get to Feena, but he still was worried about his daughter as they moved into the throne room itself.

The Eternal Queen
Feena yawned loudly and waved a hand. A sea of bowing followed before the throne room cleared out. Feena may have lost much of her once brilliant sense of the Force, but she was still connected, enough to know he was close. Maraea was sent to retreive them at the door.

"Her Majesty, Queen Feenarah, would like to extend her greeting to you. For security reasons, we ask before you enter that you surrender all weapons. They will be returned on your way out."

The young handmaiden, smiling sweet as the sun, motioned towards the two guards at the door.

"If you wouldn't mind?"

"I dont have any on me and i really do not have the time to be frisked so how about you just trust me on that. Ok?" He had none showing and none on his person except the saber in his sleeve and he really did not care if they had it or not, he was here for one reason and that reason was on the throne. "Now if you kindly do not mind stepping aside, i need to speak to a friend about a problem only she can help me with right now. Ok?" His eyes stared at the woman infront of him, yes he wasn't being very Civil but he had no idea in the world what was wrong with his daughter and Feena could help him. The longer these guards took, the worse his daughter might get and that was something he would not let happen.

Evania clung to her father and coughed again, splattering the side of his pants with blood. She had forgotten to grab the shirt when they left the ship. She whimpered softly and looked up at Solan. "I-i'm sorry Daddy. I didn't mean to get blood on your pants," she said, looking up at him nervously. The little Vahla turned her head to stare up at Feena. She moved behind her father a bit more as she did so. The woman didn't necessarily look mean, Evania was just unbelievably shy at times. [member="Solan Charr"] [member="Feena Mason"]

The Eternal Queen
Maraea did not like being snapped at, and she did not like someone trivializing her Queens safety. Not after all the assassination attempts she'd already experienced! But when the girl coughed up what appeared to be blood, the young woman hesitated in calling the guards on him.

"Maraea!" came the voice inside the throne room, "What is taking so long?"

The handmaiden froze at the sound of the Queens voice. Protocol demanded that the man and his child be searched, but...

"Very well," she sighed, but motioned for a guard to follow them inside.

When the handmaiden opened the heavy doors, the Queen was looking very annoyed. She said nothing as she sat on her high throne, but her eyes snapped to each and every person now entering her throne room, falling at last to the little girl. She waited for an explanation.

He visibly relaxed and thanked the woman before heading through the heavy doors and holding his daughter closer as he looked up at the woman on the throne. He spent no time speaking and completely forgot anything to do with formality. "Feena, i need your help and you are the only one one i know that can help me. Please..." He looked up at the woman and then his eyes traveled down to his daughter as it was more than clear the girl was why he was here. "Shes sick, i don't know how to cure it and i don't even know where to begin with such..." He didn't add what he was thinking last, but the concern made it clear. He couldn't lose her too.

If you looked closely, Evania was trembling slightly. She glanced up at Feena from her position slightly behind Solan. She was clinging to his leg and looked rather frightened. She was rather small for her age due to years of malnutrition. The little Vahla kept glancing between Feena and her father, her knuckles were turning white on the fabric of Solan's pants from how hard she was gripping the material. Narrow silver eyes studied the girl for a moment. Curious. Very curious. She did not even know he had a daughter. She raised a hand, motioning forward.

"Come. Let me look at you."

Her voice was commanding, ever the Queen. She would have risen herself, but the truth was that Feena was not feeling very well herself.

His hand touched the shoulder of his daughter as he bent down and smiled at her. His hands coming her hair out of the way and looking at her face before motioning to Feena. "Its ok Evania, shes a friend of mine that i trust with my life and more importantly yours. She can help you feel better." He smiled as he turned his eyes to feena and inside them was less confidence and more begging her to find some way to help his daughter. He was nothing like people normally saw. He had no lines to throw, nothing to say in terms of hitting on feena or her handmaidens. He didn't even leave his gaze on Feena for longer than was needed before turning back and kissing Evania on the forehead. "Come on, shes waiting."

Evania nodded and grabbed her daddy's hand. She slowly walked over to Feena, tugging Solan with her as she did. The little girl was nervous. She'd only seen a doctor of some kind once before when Solan took her to have her burned hand healed. She didn't really know what to expect since this was obviously much more severe than a burnt hand. The little girl coughed once more, cause blood to coat the area around her mouth and the palm of her hand as she reached up to cover her cough. She looked rather exhausted as well, as if she hadn't slept in a long time. The signs of years of malnutrition had lessened since she had begun living with her father, but they were still present if you looked. [member="Solan Charr"] [member="Feena Mason"]

The Eternal Queen
"Closer."

She reached out to touch the child, put her hand under her chin. She needed to see her eyes, Feel her skin. The Queen was a brilliant healer, one of the best in the Galaxy. She'd developed a knack for understanding an illness just by sensing what it did the the body. Something was wrong with this little girl, that much was obvious. But what was it? And could it be cured?

Evania looked up at the Queen, trying not to appear as nervous as she was. She was rather pale, and still trembling slightly as Feena examined her. She let go of her father's hand when she was told to come closer, and felt the woman's hand come up to tilt her head up slightly to get a better look at her. The calculating expression on the woman's face made Evania a bit uneasy, but she knew her father wouldn't let anything happen to her, so she stood there calmly and tried not to cough. The Eternal Queen
Those pale silver eyes narrowed as she examined her face. She reached in with the Force, her very essence traveling the girls blood stream, searching for the virus. She found illness in ever cell, in every branch of her nervous system, in every gland. She examined the disease, studied it.
Found something... familiar.

Her hand dropped.

"It's not an illness," the queen declared, "It's a death sentence."

He watched them and stared as he knew that Feena was one of the best healers in the Galaxy. There was nothing she could not cure and it would only be fine from this point on. His daughter would be fine, his family for once would have a future past him being alone. His eyes stared and then the words drained all life and color from his face, his eyes grew into their amber state as he stared at Feena and repeated the words in his had before forcing out chocked words. "What do do you mean death sentence feena."

The Eternal Queen
The Queen forced herself out of the throne, slowly. Her weak bones could only do so much. She stared down at the child, face completely blank.

"It starts with a cough. A faint one at first. You hardly think a thing of it. But then the other symptoms start to appear. Chills. heavy breathing. Nausea. You'll start to cough so much that your throat goes raw. You cough up blood. Alarming, but not deadly itself. Then you notice a weakness in your body. You bones feel brittle. You are tired constantly. The headaches keep you awake. Then the fever starts..."

She reached down to place a gentle hand on the child's head, but she was not doing it to comfort the girl. She was doing it to be sure, to feel the illness once again.

"The slow killer. It can take months, sometimes years, but it has never failed to claim it's victim in the end... All you can do is medicate. Treat the symptoms. Hope it keeps the fever at bay for a time. Long enough to get your affairs in order. Long enough to say goodbye."
