- Wide Net - The FAE/W-15 casts a wide net in quite the literal sense. As such, unlike a blaster bolt or slug, the energy nets fired by the weapon are difficult to dodge, since they have a wide ensnarement radius. This characteristic also makes the weapon ideal for taking down small floating drones or droids.
- Hair Raiser - The FAE/W-15 is not lacking in raw power output. The weapon provides more than enough stunning power to feasibly knock out heavy powersuit-clad soldiers and large beasts. In its lethal setting, the electrical discharges have the potential to inflict gruesome electrical burn injuries, trigger internal hydrostatic shock pressure waves, and possibly even set targets on fire outright.
- Energy Net - The FAE/W-15 does not fire real nets. The energy blast discharged by the weapon merely takes on the shape and radius of a net. As such, a hunter must use a separate tool to ensure that a target is adequately restrained after capture.
- Mechu-deru - Like any piece of technology, the FAE/W-15 is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a power drainage or some other mechanical failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the operator vulnerable.
- Over Stun - When set to the stun module, the FAE/W-15 has an extreme degree of stunning power. However, this power can work against it if the weapon is used against fragile targets, such as the elderly, individuals in poor physical health, small children, or small animals. In these cases, even when set to stun, the weapon can easily kill.
