Utilizing systems developed in First United Astral Engineering’s previous lines of beam cannons and scattercannons, the FAE/W-10 Hybrid Gauntlet Particle Blaster takes the company’s hybrid weapon technology and scales it down to a heavy pistol-sized form factor. However, the FAE/W-10 is built from the ground up to be used as a gauntlet weapon, intended as a primary armament for the special unit the company was commissioned to prepare. Once the design was complete, the FAE/W-10 was also put up for sale on the market, where it is expected to find a customer base among Mandalorians, mercenaries, and other soldiers who make regular use of gauntlet-mounted weapons.
