SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Energized Shield - A robust and advanced construction affords the suit very high resistance to most energy weapons, including disruptors owing to the bodysuit's Integrum composite. Paired with an extremely good capacity for resisting heat, the Hayai is very effective in staving off overheating, which might otherwise cook the wearer inside her bodysuit under intense fire.
  • Scream of Defiance - The Hayai's integrated sound dampening overlay affords the bodysuit a good ability to mitigate incoming fire from most types of sonic weaponry, which was emphasized owing to Cameron's constant and unconscious harnessing of the Force, rendering it necessary for her bodysuit to be able to defend against sonic attacks, which can disrupt her focus.
  • Liquid Armor - The Hayai's sleek and skintight appearance belies its robust capacity for defending the wearer against kinetic weaponry. The combination of phrik armorweave and a shear thickening fluid layer makes the bodysuit very effective in mitigating kinetic force and penetration, affording Cameron a good degree of protection against slugthrowers and other kinetic weaponry.
  • Beat the Heat - Though incorporated more as support to the Hayai's robust energy and lightsaber resistance, thereby preventing deadly temperatures from bleeding through the material cook the wearer in her suit, the bodysuit's heat resistance can stand on its own, defending the wearer from flamethrowers and other heat-based weapons.
  • Laser Sword Monks - Given her proximity to the infamous Black Knight, especially as her daughter, it was anticipated that Cameron would find herself engaging many Force users in her career. As such, an extreme degree of resistances to their hallmark weapon, the lightsaber, was considered to be paramount.
  • Weightless - An armored weave seeded with layers of micro-repulsors is incorporated into virtually all parts of the suit's construction, making it virtually weightless on Cameron's form.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechanical Mutation - Given the degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the suit, the Hayai is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-Deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the suit.
  • Ionic Pulse - In much the same way as the Hayai's vulnerability to Mechu-Deru, the bodysuit is also susceptible to Ion and EMP attacks, which can disable the suit's network of integrated electronics, sensors, and communications, which may hamper the wearer's awareness in the field. In addition, these forms of attacks may also disable the energized micro-repulsors incorporated into the suit's construction, thereby making the Hayai feel slightly heavier under these circumstances.
  • Brain Shock - The Hayai's neural interface system provides an avenue which can be a exploited by EMP/Ion assaults and by practitioners of Mechu-Deru and mentalism. In essence, the neural interace system is a critical link to the wearer's neural system, leaving the possibility that EMP/Ion attacks could electrify her brain and/or cause her to pass out. In terms of Mechu-Deru and mentalism, the neural interface could be exploited as a direct gateway to the wearer's mind, which may leave her extremely vulnerable to psychic intrusion.
  • Bone Chill - The Hayai’s performance in defending the wearer from weaponized cold leaves much to be desired. While its protection is better than nothing, the wearer is better off depending on an external system to defend against this class of weapon. However, the armor’s protection is sufficient to protect the wearer from arctic environments the likes of Hoth and Ilum, owing to the fact that the cold in these biomes is significantly less concentrated than that of the conditions generated by CryoBan or similar cryonic weaponry.
  • Acerbic Affliction - In addition to being capable of destroying the suit’s network of passive sensors, corrosive and acid weapons present a much larger problem in that they are also very effective at eating through the uniform’s protective material to harm the wearer, potentially inflicting a host of deleterious lethal or non-lethal effects, depending on the weapon.
  • Force Neutrality - By itself, the Hayai is susceptible to ysalamiri-induced Force-neutral bubbles, which if unaddressed by something else, will effectively nullify the Force enhancements incorporated into the bodysuit.
  • Searing Glare - As Cameron is a Zanshi, a species of artificially-created Sithspawn, she is very much vulnerable to Force Light and its derivative powers. Unfortunately, the Hayai provides only meager defense against the ubiquitous ability, which for a Sithspawn, is not nearly enough to protect her from a sustained blast.
  • Passive Reception Array - The network of passive sensors integrated into the surface of the bodysuit and helmet will naturally lose effectiveness as they takes damage, thereby degrading the wearer’s awareness as they come under more fire by creating blind spots in the array of passive sensors. While the bodysuit is capable of protecting the wearer from energy weapons’ fire to a very high degree, these types of weapons, in addition to flamethrowers, corrosives, and CryoBan projectors, are especially effective in destroying the network of surface-integrated passive sensors, due to their increased area of effect over slugthrowers and most bladed implements.
DESCRIPTION
As yet another weapon intended to be used by her sole organic adopted daughter, the Hayai was commissioned by Laertia Io for Cameron Crownwraithe, an ultralight bodysuit intended to complement the Zanshi's affinity for Force Speed. Designed with a suite of Force enhancements and utility features, the bodysuit is intended to act as a full combat platform for Cameron, with extensive modularity allowing her to customize it to her needs. In being manufactured by First United Astral Engineering, the bodysuit features much of the company's design hallmarks, including a comprehensive sensor suite, strength enhancements, and a neural interface.

While the bodysuit is capable in defending Cameron against most conventional threats, with a particular emphasis on lightsaber and heat resistance, it is vulnerable to more exotic weapons, with cryonic and acid weapons being two notable examples.

All in all, the Hayai is intended as a gift, albeit one with expectations as the Black Knight continues her campaign of destruction against the Bryn'adûl and her crusade of revenge against the spiteful forces of Ashla...

Apologies for the delay some issues needed to be discussed

If cortosis is going to be used in the suit it needs to be listed in the materials.

  • Weight: Weightless
Given the multitude of systems in the suit, some only mentioned as being part of a starship. How does this achieve being weightless. Power armor itself with the components has weight and there is nothing in the strengths or materials that justifies this. It will either need proper justification or to be changed. Given all of the systems and capabilities the weight should be above average.

You have been warned multiple times about ignoring having this as a strength. At this point it seems you are just trying to sneak it in. Add it to this and any future sub where you use it as a strength.

Nerve gas isn't Zanshi, no honour in it
Given the Zanshi's stricter emphasis on honor I reached out and asked the created. Nerve gas isn't something they would go with. You don't have to remove it if you do not want to but it brings ideas and questions up for the rp be aware.

Overall the armor has issues and will need edits

@Mention me when they are completed.

I don't think the rating needs to be justified. As far as I'm aware as long as the numbers are balanced and the production levels are correct I can do what I want with them. As such, I chose to give the suit that weight rating in order to better complement the character's abilities. With that in mind, I'd like to keep the rating as it is, please.

The other two issues were addressed.

That is not how it works judges are able to ask for clarification and further explaination, your ratings are balanced but you have no means to reduce the weight to zero. If this was a skintight suit that enhanced speed and wasn't loaded with components maybe the notion could be entertained. As it stands everything has a weight and force infusing increases the weight of objects making them heavier. If you cannot explain how it manages this functionality then I will tell you to change the rating or have the submission denied.

That is not how inertia works, there is nothing in the sources making you weightless. it shifts your momentum which requires you to be moving. You would still be weighed down by the components.

If you want inertia it can be there but it wouldn't make you weightless it would while you are running aid in dodging, moving along walls or ceilings.

However you still have nothing that would qualify this to be weightless.

I would also add the stealth unit into the strengths as you have the means for optical camo which generally required slower movements making it a weakness as well.

Using art of the small on a scale like that to alter everything at he molecular level would be just as negative to the suit. You are altering with the force and that increases the weight of objects. Your answer is to fundamentally alter a dozen objects at the base level which could have an unknown number of negative impacts. Art of the small is great for imbuing objects on a molecular scale, it is great for healing and shrinking ones presence in the force... there is nothing about it being able to remove the mass of an object. The weightless is still not justifiable.

The changing molecule does not reduce the weight of the other materials. I asked the creator It won't add to it but you still have no means to make it weightless with the combination of materials and components. We'll break down the weight for it here to average it out. I am going to ballpark it as some materials like shadowsilk don't describe a weight for it. Dyes and coatings are removed as well as the molecule as it doesn't alter the weight one way or the other.
Now before factoring in equipment and components which would add additional weight. The force treatment to augment it which added weight to objects. Most of the stats are sitting at light ratings weight and that is being fair. If we start adding the components and equipment the suits weight will increase further.

Reading through this submission it appears the only real point of contention is explaining the weightlessness of the suit.

Have you considered seeding it with micro-repulsors? They would negate the weight, as well as providing other benefits, such as improved kicks and punches and the ability to stick to surfaces to give yourself more option and versatility.

Change Log:
  • Renamed the suit to "eA-06"after realizing that the designation "A-09" was already used by another one of my designs.
  • Removed Changing Molecule
  • Added "Micro-Repulsor Weave" to Materials.
  • Edited Weightless Strength to Reflect Addition of Micro-Repulsor Weave
  • Edited Ionic Pulse Weakness to Reflect Addition of Micro-Repulsor Weave
