Epicenter: The SJO Dominion of Sev Tok

Epicenter: SJO Dominion of Sev Tok

The world of Sev Tok was used to ground-quakes.

On a pleasant spring day, the world began to tremble. The inhabitants of Sev Tok braced, much like they had done on several occasions. The rumbling grew stronger, the people hunkered down to wait it out... but this time, it did not stop.

Pavement split and cracked, buildings collapsed and crumbled... the ground opened up.

When the shaking stopped, it was clear that this had been a quake like no other. Some of the monitoring equipment at local stations had gone off the charts – or broken completely. Smoke, rubble, devastation. Sev Tok would never be the same again.

A state of emergency was declared world-wide.

The Order of the Silver Jedi were there. Among the relief efforts, the Silver Circle provided food, water, shelter, and healers. But, the scale was so large that even they needed help. Recovery efforts have been on-going, the local forces exhausted. And the city of Sage Edge had been swallowed up – volunteers are needed to descend into the wreckage to find survivors... if there are any left.

Not only that, something stirs…

Objectives:

Objective 1: Aid
Assist the Silver Circle provide aid to the people of Sev Tok.
  • Treat the wounded in the medical tents
  • Help raise temporary shelters and get people settled
  • Serve meals and feed the hungry

Objective 2: From the Depths
Since the initial earthquake, there have been small aftershocks. And, strange creatures have been spotted emerging from the depths. Help deal with these creatures and protect the areas where recovery efforts are still on-going.

Objective 3: Into the Black
Descend into the chasm, where town Sage Edge once was and rescue any that might have survived the disaster.

Er6tw3E.png
Veiere knew the World of Sev Tok well, he had been there before with the Commenor Systems Alliance rendering aid to the people just like today, the World known for it's volatile weather and unstable climate, yet the people were ever proud of their home and had always maintained a fierce loyalty to their World, refusing to leave even if given the opportunity to live elsewhere.

"Captain Arenais" Vikras Ansion spoke up a little louder so that Veiere would be shaken from his thoughts and brought back to reality; "The next shipment's ready to head for ground, Sir".

"Very good, hold them a moment and inform the pilot that I'll be joining them for this run. You've the bridge, Commander" Veiere replied, giving Vikras an appreciative smile, old friends as they were and soon began to move for the turbo lifts just outside of the command station. Though the surface was still vulnerable to after-shocks, Sev Tok had been a memorable venture back when Commenor had numerous worlds under it's banner; he and his wife [member="Kay Arenais"] having amassed quite a following back in the day, before the Captain had returned to the Jedi Path. It seemed only right that he be down there today, getting his hands dirty and showing his people that despite his rank and position in the Order, he wasn't above doing the hard yards and supporting his own, just as much so as the civilian populace, however he could.

Today the troop drop-ships were filled with less troops and more cargo for the humanitarian purpose of the assignment, the aid of Sev Tok, bringing food and medical supplies to whomever required it. There were also the drop-pods for which this supply run was most important, setting up a fresh new medical and emergency station as the others were overloaded with the amount of injuries sustained from the latest catastrophic quake.

Climbing aboard the Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle, Veiere gave the confirming word to the pilot to begin their departure from the Judiciary, in-bound for their objective. It would be a quiet and reflective flight down, the Jedi Master speaking only when a question was thrown his way for clarification but otherwise looking ahead to the work that was required of them. This sort of relief-effort was the heart of the Jedi Path, supporting and aiding others when there was need. Keeping people alive and well when they would otherwise suffer. Doing whatever possible to step-up for the people, no matter where they were in the Galaxy and no matter the risks.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Objective 1: Feed the Hungry

Ugohr was busy dealing with the fallout of the First Order collapsing and what it meant for Pizza Hutt as it expands westward. But the plight of Sev Tok was not something he could afford to be indifferent to, and he was about to go there with a food truck and the usual Squib and Bardottan crew. These Squibs were about to prepare the supplies needed to feed refugees: cookie dough, pizza dough, pasta, nerf slices (used in both pho and pizza) and all the other stuff that a standard Pizza Hutt menu required. There would be hundreds of each meal to distribute on the first run, with additional batches of supplies on standby elsewhere on the planet. Well, there would be multiple food trucks to serve different regions on the planet. As his AT-AT barge was en route with all those food trucks and the teams that agreed to work on this assignment as a means to redeem from past disciplinary actions, he couldn't help but think that some of those old ghosts would work on other areas of the disaster that was unfolding on this planet. And that he would be hollering: May mesa take yoursa order?

Objective two, do what star does best...kick fething butt

Guilt still rang in stars mind, making her decision had still been on her mind...luckily for this old twilek the jedi still had missions and needed people who could knock a few heads around and stardust happen to be highly qualified.

Not to mention it allowed her to help out a bit more, loading her freighter up with supplies from zeltros star grouped with the fleet and set off for sev Tok, her men would unload supplies and get them where they were needed. Meanwhile stardust was heading towards where these strange creatures were spotted ready to take them out

Location: Sev Tok
Objective: 1

The Jedi often got thrown all over the galaxy, tossed from one war zone to another, one conflict to the next in an unending rollercoaster that just slammed them with an unending wave of fights. Asaraa had been back and forth all over the galaxy, helping to wave the flag of the Jedi, helping where she could. It was that mission that had brought the Jedi here, to Sev Tok, to answer the call of the citizens. The arrival had caught Asaraa by surprised, this level of decimation wasn't one she was used to seeing outside of a battlefield, but the dust coating the streets, the packed medical centres...this might not have been a a war zone, but the truth of the matter was that hte people here needed their help in just hte same way.

While she'd had the training, Asaraa wasn't really much of a healer, capable of battlefield triage, but she didn't think she could help that much in the medical centres, instead she had signed up for something different. The girl reached up, wiping one hand across her forehead as she glanced down at the wreckage surrounding her, one hand reaching for her drink, the cool water sliding down her throat as she took a deep breath before securing the bottle again. The force was a great tool, Jedi were often seen as warrior monks but, a smile touched her lips as she stretched out a hand, the rubble around her slowly shaking before it drifted up into the air, swirling around her head as the rocks clashed into one another, a loud crack as they thumped down into a skip as she nudged a small rock, bending down to pick it up. The Jedi construction crew, that's her!

Objective: 2
Posts: 1

Strange creatures coming from the depths of earth after some large shattering earthquake seeking to ravage the local population sounded like some sort of holo move plot. Then again most of the missions she went on could probably make a good story line for any studio looking for creation material. She had joined the force master [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] on the little expedition to ferry supplies, bringing a small squad of rangers to assist with taking care of the strange beasts.

Hopefully they could be killed with more traditional arms, if not, well Star would probably know how to deal with such things, the force and all that had a ton of animal related powers... right? Guess they would just have to wait and see, half the battle would be just understanding what exactly they were fighting.

Location: SSV Haven, Sev Tok orbit
Objective 1: Provide aid

Aboard the SSV Haven, a hospital ship, Celeste Rigel walked the corridors. The patient rooms were filling up, many of the intensive care units were currently in use. The most severe cases were transported here for treatment. The flagship of the Silver Circle was well equipped to handle disasters like this, but the scale was quite large. It was a relief to have assistance from others, such as [member="Veiere Arenais"]. The Haven had the ability to deploy mobile clinics as well, and many were being set up at that very moment.

A notification on her datapad told her that the newest clinic had just been completed – Camp Benevolence. Supplies were already there, and field medics, too. But Celeste wanted to ensure that things were running smoothly.

Pausing outside one of the patient rooms, she spotted Knight [member="Samara Raine"]. “Knight Raine, would you like to accompany me to the surface?” She asked. The young woman was one of their most capable healers, one that Celeste had come to trust – for she knew that Valae Kitra had also been quite fond of Knight Raine.

She could only imagine the devastation that awaited, but it gave her something to focus on, something to pour her energy into. Celeste worked, despite the fact that her husband had been killed in battle just weeks prior. She was a widow, a woman in mourning, but the galaxy did not pause to accommodate such things.

When it raines, it pours.

Objective 1 - Provide Aid
Samara was in her element, working directly at the bedside, and it would be rare to find the Jedi doctor not with a patient in the medbay. Today was no exception as there were so many to care for, which did not deter the young Knight one bit. It gave the Liann purpose, and with that purpose she was able to hopefully make a positive difference in others lives; some experiencing and sharing their darkest moments with her. Whether Samara was merely holding someone's hand in comfort or taking extraordinary measures to save their life, she wanted to be a light in the dark for them giving them hope and easing their pain if nothing else.

A familiar voice called out for her with an inquiry. The honey blonde turned her golden head to see [member="Celeste Rigel"] standing in the doorway of the patient room she was working in. She flashed the brunette a small smile. The Chief Healer was nothing but poised even despite her recent tragedy. Samara couldn't even imagine the pain the woman was going through after losing her husband, who had been an Antarian Ranger...

Just like [member="Tyrell Caphey"] is.

She didn't even want to think about that what if. No, it was best not to center on one's anxieties, but rather to concentration on the here and now. The Serenity Prayer was something that the Jedi often referred to when doubt or fear tried to creep in and cloud her perspective. Master Taute had taught her that when she was a young padawan.

"I would like that very much, Master Rigel. I will be just a minute," Sam answered with a gracious cant of her head, then the healer turned back to the patient laying on the bed to finish wrapping gauze around their freshly dressed arm wound.

"There, now rest... " she said to the patient soothingly with a gentle touch to their shoulder, sending them a nudge through the Force to sleep comfortably, then the aspiring doctor picked up the supplies and discarded the trauma tray into the medical trash receptacle near the sink.

After washing her hands and drying them, Samara joined Celeste outside the patient's room in the Boram ship's corridor. She wanted to say something to the grieving woman, to comfort and/or encourage her, but knew the Jedi Master was a private person. They were not that close Sam felt she could just intrude so she didn't. If the other Jedi doctor wanted or needed to open up, she would be all ears with a soft yet sturdy shoulder to lean on.

"I am ready when you are," the youthful Jedi Consular offered again with a small smile as sea green orbs settled kindly upon her.

ADM. Reshmar

Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
Entering Sev Tok system
DSS Hope -Directorate Relief vessel.
Objective 1 - Provide Aid

Reshmar watched as the blur of hyperspace turned to defined points of light behind the large sphere that was Sev Tok. He had been aboard the Hope when the call for assistance had come in and departed Hast immediately en-route to assist the shaken world. Around him were a mix of scientists and medical professionals all discussing the best way to assists the world and its people. Even under such dire circumstances the ego of people persisted. The conciseness was to provide assistance to the relief stations already set up on the world. A few of the team were insistent that The facilities on the Hope were better than what was down on the world already and wanted to land the vessel to assist. That idea had been shot down by Reshmar immediately causing the few to argue their point. The Hope was designed for the job and Reshmar knew the ship was designed to handle the landing and the extreme instability of the planets surface but she had yet to be tested. Reshmar did not want to take a new ship down to a disaster zone only to make matter worse when some untested system failed. "No, that is final, The Hope is not ready for such an extreme landing. Many of her systems have yet to be brought online and many more have yet to be calibrated. We will provide assistance from orbit." Reshmar said putting an end to the discussion of landing the vessel. He knew it was not a popular decision among the few who pushed for the landing but they would do their jobs regardless.

"Now moving on" said Reshmar as he turned to a screen on the wall behind him. "Camps have been set up here, here and here. Many more will be erected in the days to come but we will support these three. I need a list of all materials and supplies needed maximize their support potential. We are at their disposal so give them anything they ask for and anything else you think they might need. We will open the housing compartments and can take any run over they may have. Let's try to keep the crowding at a minimum down there. Let the coordinators of the camps know we have room for seventy five thousand people if needed. We need to make these people as comfortable as possible." Reshmar said as he turned back to the assembled personnel. he looked at the group then spoke again.

"We are here to save lives, now get down there and do it." Reshmar said in a stern grumpy voice. The room began to empty as the medical and science personnel left. He sat quietly watching the last of them go then closed his eyes to rest. It never ceased to amaze him how people pushed their agenda and their ideas at the most inappropriate times. People were dying below on the world and his team could not decide on the right way to help them. He would speak to mister Mosses when he returned about hiring new humanitarian relief teams, but for now he had to make due with what he had.

Objective 3: Find the people in the city that fell.
Location: In decent
"Okay where are we going Sylas? This is our first official mission together and you have been nothing short of quiet." Thoremas would ask looking his friend over within their new armours. The rest of them were getting their gear ready to save who they could since they had next to no idea what they were about to do. Sylas would smile "We are going down into the hole to where Sage Edge was. Our objective is to save who we can but that does mean we will need sensors up." He would turn and tap the person next to him. "That's where you come in Garth, take Asahu with you. Make sure we have some form of an idea what's going on down there. Thoremas I am gonna need you to take point for us as usual. Angikee and I will help out Susakel with equipment and the rest till we know if we have anything else down their with us. Best of luck to you all."

The Ship would land as each padawan would begin gathering what equipment they needed to get their tasks done. As he walked out Sylas placed a quick call on his wrist communicator to his master [member="Veiere Arenais"]. As soon as it would come up he would bow. He had learnt something from their meeting in manners it had turned out. Not much but enough to know to bow. "Master me and the Frost Onyx Wolfs are down in the hole. We are setting up what we can while we are here. If things get to hot we will try to pull out but just make sure we keep getting evacuation ships once one leaves please. I don't want to be left here with no backup." He would bow again before cancelling the call and picking up his equipment ready to help where he had too.

Celeste returned Samara's smile with one of her own, and stepped to the side to give doctor and patient some privacy. Though, she she was not trying to eavesdrop, she could hear the soothing tones of Samara's voice, and she could feel the gentle flow of the force being used. Quite a good bedside manner, Celeste thought. Once the young woman was a Master, perhaps she could be moved into a leadership role within the Circle. Even now, she was one of the standouts.

This train of thought kept Celeste centered, somewhat. The sadness still lingered, something like a strange aura that she was constantly working to counteract. It was enough, however, to keep her calm and collected as Knight Raine joined her in the corridor.

“Ah, good.” She said, “We'll get going, then.”

Celeste glanced sidelong at Samara as they began to walk. The young woman had quite a calming presence, which allowed her jaw to relax just slightly. She wouldn't burden the Knight with her own troubles, with the sorrowful words of a new widow. Still, the company was nice.

“We're heading down to a camp that was placed near a town...” She started, calling up the details. “It was nearly swallowed up during the earthquake. As you may imagine, there were many injured in and around the town.”

And as she understood it, rescue and recovery efforts were still underway.

“I think we'll have our work cut out for us once we get there,” She said, the words came automatically, the practiced composure of a healer at work.

Together, they would stride into the hangar and board. It wouldn't be long before they were bound for Sev Tok.

Back into the game. He and the rest of the seasoned rangers routinely made the last checks of their weapons when the landing was about minutes away. Com-checks were done, a hand signal from him and he got the same signals back, confirming that the squad were ready for yet another mission.

The ranger sergeant felt better than ever before a mission. With renewed energy and a considerable change to his personal life, he and his squad of eight able rangers had voluenteered when master [member="Kiso"] had requested military aid for this humanitarian mission. Initially, the orders from commander Calderon and directions from the jedi master had been to serve as close protection for her and the rest of the workers in their specific area. As a medic, he was also able to help with that part if needed be.

Lessons learned from earlier missions, he knew very well that things rarely went as planned, though. It was not long after their shuttle sat down on the planet they got intel about creatures, critters that had been disturbed and unsettled from the earthquakes and now threatened to attack civilian rescue and medical positions. From the best scenario, the creatures or beasts or whatever it was coming up from the depths would leave them alone and run out of the town. If not, the possibility of having to call in more troops from the Silver Jedi starships orbiting the planet were close at hand.

The squad of eight fully equipped, black armored rangers exited the freighter close behind the jedi master and the twi'lek.

''Orders, captain?'' he spoke up with a calm and collected voice through the vocalizer in the t-visor helmet while letting the advanced HUD of it scan the area in front of them.

Two others had joined her, master kiso and sergeant caphey. Stardust herself stood tall within her gam, sword on her hip, Both sabers and westar 35s on her each ready to go. Popping her neck she looked outside of the drop shuttle and took a deep breath

so, what info do we have on these beasts? Method of attack, travel in group and that stuff

She had her helmet on her side, gold reflected the lights off...she was still proud to show off her colors. Eyes watched the door opening as she put her buyce on and felt the armor lock around he lekku and slide the armor out like dragon scale as she stepped out and drew her sabers ready to activate them as she scanned the area and stepped forward past the rangers

if I may suggest, we need to set up a perimeter around the medical tents before we venture to quell these beasts

"Master me and the Frost Onyx Wolfs are down in the hole. We are setting up what we can while we are here.
If things get to hot we will try to pull out but just make sure we keep getting evacuation ships once one leaves please.
I don't want to be left here with no backup".
The voice of his youngest Padawan came in over the Commlink as Veiere, [member="Sylas Taff"] one of two Silver Padawan who Veiere had volunteered to take under his wing since the last two hopeful learners had seemingly taken their leave of the Silver Order. Unfortunately, Veiere had a bit of experience in feeling the disappointment in a student whom regretted their decision in joining the Jedi; whether it was not having expected how difficult the path was, or fearing the risks that came with being a member of the Order, Veiere had seen a number of Padawan come and go from his care. The hope was that Sylas and Jerek Zenduu weren't going to be among those that had come and gone.

The Jedi Path wasn't for everyone, however.

"I hear you Sylas" Veiere spoke back into his comm', using the Padawan's name to give him more of a personal feeling of care being offered through the long distance communication. "I'm on the ground now, myself. Once we've set up a new medical shelter, I'll assist those who need it most and then head to your location. If at all possible, avoid a confrontation and don't move too far in without a member of the Knight or Master body of the Order" Veiere cautioned the lad, not wishing to see him get hurt out there, having volunteered for a different assignment there on Sev Tok.

Ending the call, Veiere soon changed frequency back to the Judiciary drifting over orbit. "Vikras, this is Veiere. Use my signal to triangulate and track the progress of my Padawan, Sylas Taff. I want to know if things go south. We've got a lot of wounded down here...-Send another team of healers as a precaution in the case I need to leave". The Jedi Master waited for confirmation before ending the call and returning the device to his belt.

There were still so many injured coming in and they were barely making headway with establishing the emergency shelter. "N-no! Put him over there" Veiere called to a couple of paramedics who were carrying a man with a crushed left leg and a wounded shoulder that had resulted in blood soaked clothing. About to put him on the ground with the others, He instead pointed them to a few of the crates of supplies, deciding they could form a make-shift table.

"He's going to have to wait, there are others..." A medical assistant began to speak, though Veiere lifted his head dismissively; "I understand" he said simply, moving to the injured one either way and gauging the state of him. Fortunately the civilian was out-cold and unable to question what the Jedi was about to do next.

Placing one hand to the wounded shoulder, and the other lightly atop his leg, Veiere closed his eyes and began to concentrate in summoning the healing presence of the Force to gather within his center, and soon flow through his arms to the injured. Curato Salva wasn't an ability that would offer immortality by any means and the man would still require an operation, yet the loss of blood would be hindered as the Force accelerated the bodies natural healing of the flesh, and dulling of the pain temporarily at least.

"As soon as someone's available, this man needs a surgeon" Veiere spoke with an elevated voice to anyone nearby to hear him, not bothering to look their way as he needed to concentrate and continue to do what he could for the unconscious.

Sabine stood at the edge, where the town had literally broken off. A hand ruffled her hair as she looked down, mind absolutely blown by the devastation. The young Knight was usually an explorer, but today she would use her skills to do some good.

She gathered her equipment quickly, slung a pack onto her back with supplies, and strapped into her climbing harness. With her anchor holding fast, she began to ready herself to descend. However, a group of Padawans caught her eye. Each moved with purpose, they knew exactly what to do. Her eyes followed the form of a fair-haired young boy, moving to go down into the depths. Sabine blinked a couple of times.

My, they seemed quite an organized team.

Nevertheless, she began to rappel down, feet contacting the rocky sides of the cliff. Looking over her shoulder, she could see broken structures. Lights from overhead did help a little, but she'd bring down her own light rods.

Kiso stood at the front of the formation of rangers as they marched towards the medical tents, listening to Stardusts queries about the situation, "We have little information about the hostile targets, but considering their environment deep underground we can make some assumptions". "First is that they are most likely blind, expect them to rely on echo location and smell to sense prey, if so sonic weapons will be effective at combating them". In theory at least but it was better then saying 'we don't know crap'.

"Numbers seem to be in the several dozens, nothing to large that can't be handled but i'd not want to underestimate them, other then that not much else, though I wouldn't be surprised if the beasts acted in a pack or some sort of hive mind with a central queen of leader commanding the lower ones". That is usually how such primal beasts operated, being coped up in such tight places under the soil some sort of leader ship would have formed on way or another.

With the small brief out of the way she turned her head to face her second in command of the ranger unit, "Well follow master Star Dusts suggestion, set up a light perimeter around the medical encampment, if anyone had sensory arrays now would be a good time to use them". "Make sure you all have cross fire on each other in case they swam, but keep it lose enough so they can't flank around easily, we don't know their behavior so be prepared for any sort of tactic, we stay on the defensive until a proper assessment of the situation can be gleaned". "From there we can advance, hopefully find their nest and take them out, anyone object to this"? Her question being genuine, even if she was a captain the views of her men were still just as important as her own.

Ugohr Poof

The Traveling Gungan Salesman
Objective 1: Feed the hungry

Because it was a hot desert, Ugohr knew that the refugees would be better off eating cold food until requested otherwise. Now that he landed on the planet, it was time to set up the food stall. And he knew what that meant: a lot of ice cream cones and other sundaes of various sizes, from both soft and hard ice cream. Also the lineups for each and every food truck being deployed on the planet were to be anticipated, so before opening the curtain, he had to make sure that the food truck would be ready to serve whatever refugees come his way. Which also meant ensuring that the set temperature was the correct one for the food conservators assigned to the hard ice cream, as well as the temperature of the soft ice cream. And the stove as well as the pizza oven should someone order stuff that requires heat to prepare, such as pho and pizza respectively. But now that the cones were in order, too, then he could even think of opening the curtain, and the Gungan did feel that the first refugee being served wanted some ice cream. But was he prepared for the flavor requests?

"Yousa want some ice cream?"

"Green Gatalenta tea if you have it"

Calithea was, in all forms of the word, nervous. The young girl had never been on any type of mission before and only recently had begun her training with [member="Yuroic Xeraic"]. And that had only included some combat training. Although, to be fair, the way [member="Sylas Taff"] explained it, it wasn't going to be a combat or anything like mission. Rescue civilians! Save people in the sunken, destroyed city!

But Cali just couldn't imagine trying to pick up a building to get someone out, even if it was somewhat irrational to imagine. But... She was happy to spend time with her brother, and perhaps meet some of the order. She had kept mostly to [member="Tom Taff"] and [member="Mykes Taff"] side for the past several years. And she had to eventually start moving away from the nest. And what better way than diving into the depths of a sunken city to save people?

And so, Calithea stood off to the side of her brother and the others who were part of the mission to help save the people. She shuffled slightly, her body adjusting to the light armor and the large backpack filled with various supplies. A quick glance up and she saw another pesron, [member="Sabine Galen"], crawling down the side of the... Cliff? Is that what it would be called, now?

With a deep breath, she stepped off into the town from the ship as she frowned. Really, the most light came from the light on her helmet. With a deep breath, she moved towards a somewhat destroyed, but still relatively in tact building, crawling through a window carefully. It was unstable, and she had to be extra careful after all. But the faint noise of crying made her determined albeit ever careful.

When it raines, it pours.
Location: Sev Tok - Arriving at a medical tent
Objective 1 - Provide aid
___

The trip down from the SSV Haven to the surface of Sev Tok was uneventful, but once the Jedi healers walked down the boarding ramp of their transport at the landing zone an aftershock hit like it was supposed to impress the new visitors. The aftershock wasn't enough though to knock them down or do damage per se, but one could differently feel the rolling wave of energy beneath their feet for at least 10-15 seconds. It made Samara stop and put her arms out to the side as if she was surfing to help with balance though the motion wasn't really needed. In fact, a light blush touched her high cheek bones in slight embarrassment of the act.

"Well now that was quite the welcoming, hmm?" the blonde quipped flashing a shrugging grin at [member="Celeste Rigel"].

Samara continued to walk towards one of the medical tents set up with purpose. The Liann was shouldering a large medpac by her side and also carried another by hand. She was ready to begin caring for the numerous patients with varying degrees of injuries as needed.

As she and the Chief Healer entered the tent, sea green orbs pursued the scene before them. "So many... " Sam mumbled quietly under her breath. It wasn't the overwhelming numbers needing treatment, but rather the overall humanitarian crisis at hand. This is why she was a Jedi Knight - to help those who could not do so for themselves whether they were injured, sick, and/or defenseless. If nothing else, at least they could give them hope that someone cared.

"As soon as someone's available, this man needs a surgeon."

"I am a surgeon," the aspiring doctor answered [member="Veiere Arenais"] with a raise of her free hand, then Samara moved over to where the Jedi Master was helping the severely injured man. She did a quick assessment, then concurred with a nod. "Indeed, Master Arenais, this man does need surgery to repair his injuries. I am Knight Raine and will see to him now. Thank you for stabilizing the patient," the young healer offered with an appreciative smile.

"By the way, how often are the aftershocks hitting?"

It was a valid concern especially if she was going to be mucking around the injured man's innards with a laser scalpel.

[SIZE=11pt]Just as with anytime the youngling would go out, Kobi found himself alongside his master, Asaraa, and with enough energy and excitement to go around ten times over. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, as in such trying times for the people of this place, perhaps seeing a smiling and excited face would prove to be contagious. After all, a little bit of positivity could really prove to serve this people well. They had lost their homes and livelihoods. Businesses were gone. Even friends and loved ones had not been seen for some time now. But hey! That’s why the Silver Jedi were here, was it now?! To be the heroes these people needed. The saviors of Sev Tok and Sage Edge! Yes!!! That was exactly it.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Teeming with an unbridled excitement, the young padawan almost seemed to bounce in place awaiting his master’s instructions for him. At least until a sharp pull felt through the Force, forced him back to reality. The pain here bit and clawed at the positivity he tried to exude, but being a natural empath that his was, he seemed to feel all of their woes to an exponential level. It caused him to turn away and crouch uncomfortably, clutching at the sides of his head as he did so.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]So. Much. Pain. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]There was so much of it here. These people had suffered far more than anyone ever deserved to and in the uncertain times that now presented themselves, many didn’t know if they would ever be united with those they loved that had potentially been taken in this catastrophe. But more than that, he could feel the fear that seemed to almost palpitate from the debris those like him worked tirelessly to remove. There were still people trapped and if only he could focus through it all, he might be of more help, but alas there was just so much of it. It was as if he was being overloaded with sensory information as all those feelings and emotions rained down all around him.[/SIZE]
