Public Emergence: Skirmish on Batuu

Fire and brimstone spread through the outpost, the shock waves of the earth continued cracking, caving in buildings even as the Brother hoods raiders were forced back. At first the troopers were pushed back by the sudden burst of enemies through their territory but as the battle went on and as the reinforcements came the raiders of the Brotherhood were pushed back, being shot down from bow-casters and ripped apart from the Wookies and their unmatchable strength.

In this Koleric saw a challenge he had been able to run his blade through dozens of troopers and set the fur of the Wookies aflame it was a glorious and holy battle, but he too came out with scars, he had been shot, stabbed and even had the claws of a Wookie who had gotten in close raked down his face. He was bloodied and maimed his face would heal but it would forever be scared from his negligence. A merc sporting a slugthrower had shot him in the abdomen missing the essentials but this only slowed Koleric down before running his blade between the mercs armor, as he yelled in pain Koleric kicked the weapon away starting to repeatedly bash the troopers head in over and over until it was an unrecognizable mush.

His wound bled profusely not knowing any first aid he did the only thing he could, pressing down on the wound he channeled the force into fury and fire it he began to scorch his skin in an attempt to cauterize the wound the smell of burnt flesh began to emanate off of his own body it began to sizzle, even Koleric who was resistant to heat could not help but yell out in pain. His skin now sported a hand burned into his skin this would now symbolize his devotion to the Maw.

Not even being able to rest he began to hear even greater destruction an orbital bombardment began the laserfire scorching the earth in attempts to take Batuu of the map was a statement that the Brotherhood of the Maw did not care for the land we came to raid only the recourses and the simple destruction we thirst for, but if Koleric was to see through with his own holy destruction he would have to get out of the blast. He began to move using the wind to propel him forth almost reaching the speeds of a speeder he rushed through Batuu he searched for the edges of the outpost.

She didn’t do it to impress the other man, and wasn't afraid of the impending trouble either; the woman had a few more tricks in her bag. Among other things, that in a few moments she can get out of here and leave the material world behind. She had the reward of tearing her soul apart to be with Adrian at the Netherworld; she became part of the Nether and could go there whenever she wanted. The commander of one of the ships sent another message, warning her of the impending bombing that the Maw's ships had targeted the surface and were asking the Empress to leave the area immediately. Another request she said no to.

However, sent the two Shadow Knights back to the Netherworld with one thought, and the two demons did it all; the woman was already really alone. Send a telepathic message to the two Shadow Company reserves to leave this place and take as many people as they can and that’s a command. They were well-trained soldiers, not arguing. Fire and ice; Ingrid was both, though only the lucky ones could see the fire, her passion, her zest for life. Although those died for the most part with Adrian at Dantooine. Unlike the man, the woman was an experienced Force User, and her power in the Force was besieged by Zachariel's anger, but he was not trained to find the weak points and challenge her.

Maybe because of his kind and his anger, the man had an advantage over the woman in the physical fight, because of his strength, his regeneration. Their fighting skills were probably the same, and the Force favored Ingrid. The situation was still a draw. Didn't try to defend herself when the man slammed down. It was then that she reached into the Force and used telekinetics to interrupt the movement before it reached her. Thus, if the man is still able to perform the sequence of movements, the blade will fly right in front of the woman. Ingrid tried to lift the man with telekinetics while deactivating the two lightsabers and placing them on her belt.

"You want my scream, Zachariel? You get it!" said almost purring, but still with a cold tone.

A predatory smile appeared on her lips and she took a deep breath. The telekinetic attack ends at this moment; no matter how much she had managed to hold the man so far, he was now completely free. The next moment, a loud scream left her throat and lips. Giving in all the pain and grief caused by Adrian’s absence and death; the Force Scream was very strong. In the hall, all the light sources and wires exploded loudly, the metals in the walls began to surrender, the whole building shook and began to collapse from the woman's power and the Force Scream. And the effect lasted as long as the woman had expanded her power. Leaving no small amount of destruction behind it and probably Zachariel, all this caused quite a bit of damage, as he was very close to the epicentre.

Vexari and her troops were knocked onto their backs by the force of the Sith Apprentice's attack. Vexari hit the ground with a thud, grunting slightly in pain. As she looked up into the sky, she noticed the Star Destroyer reigning fire down upon the settlement. Vexari hastily reached for her communicator, speaking into it. "Fire the Ion cannon, quickly! Take that thing out of the sky before we lose the entire outpost.", she said urgently.

As fortune would have it, her engineers had just managed to bring the outpost's large defensive ion cannon online, and unleashed a volley of shots towards the huge vessel, disabling it's shields and depowering it, which would likely cause it to begin plummiting towards the wilderness below just outside the setttlement.

Hellfire rained down onto the Black Spire Outpost from above in the form of the mighty turbolasers of the Imperial-II Star Destroyer. Building after building crumbled around the blast zone as broken block scattered to the winds. Friend and foe alike would run for cover or suffer the wrath of the Brotherhood's endgame over Batuu, the final orders left in order to deal with the resistance ground level.

Hope was not lost, for no matter how dark the night becomes, there will always be a dawn. Repairing and reactivating the ion cannon defense emplacement, the brave defenders of the Black Spire Outpost took their shot at saving their home and fired under Vexari Kahl's order. The massive cannon fired, shots of blue bolts pieced the sky until hitting their mark. Small ripples of lightning scattered across the hull of the behemoth as it's ion drive and thrusters fell silent. Systems failing, the vessel began to fall from the sky.

This sight of this heroism did not stop the ground forces of the Brotherhood that continued the fight under the threat of Orbital Bombardment. The zealous nature of their scripture, coupled with the intensity of their leaders bred megalomania across the board. To the raider of the Brotherhood, death was not the end but the beginning of a new journey. Meanwhile, in the space above the planet a fierce battle begun to take form as the Eternal Empire's navy arrived to backup Batuu. 4 Star Destroyers packed with modern weapons and arms began tearing at the Brotherhood's vessels, a wide call of tactical retreat was called for all vessels to return to Gehinnom.

She did not bother to see the result of the Force Repulse she unleashed. She knew, so no need to look or gloat. She had more pressing matters to attend to. She turned and began to bob and weave her way through the chaos, back to her ship. As she went, she commed her Chosen and ordered them back as well.

Of course, there were those who tried to impede her leaving. They were thrown aside with a wave of her hand. Her ship in sight now, she hurried towards it. Not far behind her came the Chosen. Though their ranks had been decimated, they brought with them fresh meat. Blood for the blood god. Men or women, there were both. No children, not this time.

Boots hit durasteel as they all stomped up the ramp. The Chosen lashed their meatsacks to the cargo hold, and into cages. The wailing and moaning reverberated through out the ship. Maestus made her way to the cockpit, where her pilot was ready and waiting. She gave the pilot a nod, and with deft hands, the pilot lifted them off, and they joined the stars once more.

Zachariel would not be denied the blood and skulls of his victims, yet Ingrid was doing everything to prevent him from having either. She didn't truly dodge, but rather nudged his blade to the side enough that the blade simply passed her by, or went in front of her. It caused his rage to grow, even as she deactivated her lightsabers and attached them to her hips. She tried to lift him with the Force, but Zachariel allowed his rage to batter down any attempts to move himself. His powers protected himself well, but his weapon less effectively.

A part of him realized he couldn't beat her if she simply avoided his attacks. But that part was drowned out by the rage. Then Ingrid spoke, taunting him. He couldn't respond before she screamed, merely roaring his bloodlust further. His sword came down then, a final blow just as she screamed. The scream launched him back, such was its ferocity. It was everything the Dark Side wanted, everything Zachariel inflicted, but directed in a way to hurt. For the first two meters, Zachariel had no control. In the next he had crossed his arms before himself, giving himself some protection. Still, he was pushed back half a dozen meters from Ingrid.

When the scream finally stopped, Zachariel rose from his have bent position. The scream had brought a cold clarity to him, helping him control his rage, even as it damaged his armor and himself. At his full height now, it was clear to see his arms and chest had suffered the most damage. There were gashes in his armor, and dents in his chestplate. The rest of his armor was a mix of burn marks, surface gashes that could provide openings, and other dents. Taking the time to look about himself, Zachariel was impressed by the damage done to the corridor. Had he not been so filled with rage, he would most likely be half the gen'dai he was now.

Regardless though, he could still fight, but so could Ingrid. Taking an experimental swing with his sword, Zachariel readied him for another round of fighting, only for him to be contacted suddenly. It was one of his Chosen, informing him that they had to retreat due to the orbital bombardment. And Zachariel was also informed that the Maw would soon be leaving, having made their statement here, and gained more slaves for their armies. Snarling at that thought, Zachariel returned his attention to Ingrid. Despite everything, he still wanted to fight, and he knew he could keep going far longer than any other. But it didn't change the fact that he would end up trapped on a hostile planet, with no way off this rock.

Ingrid's Force Scream had done more than simply damage Zachariel's armor and body. It had given him clarity of mind, pushing down the rage into something more controllable. Growling once more, Zachariel's grip tightened on his sword, before he took a deep breath. Eyes focused on Ingrid, Zachariel gave the Empress a half bow, before calling out to her.
"Apologies dearest Ingrid, but it would seem this little raid is over sooner than I had wished. However, this truly was a worthy fight, and I do hope we can meet again on some other battlefield. Perhaps then I'll take your skull." With a flourish, Zachariel brought his sword before his face, saluting her. One bladesman to another. Then he turned his head to watch as more troopers of the Outpost began to arrive to secure the area. With his men and the other Maw forces retreating, the troopers had a far easier time securing the area, but they didn't yet realize Zachariel was still there. "Until we meet again, Lady Ingrid L'lerim. And may you and yours be more prepared when that time comes."

With a final flick, Zachariel tossed a thermal detonator towards her, even as he turned on his heel. Making his way down the destroyed corridor at a run, Zachariel was out in the courtyard before long. He was spotted immediately, but only a handful suffered his dulled wrath then. Making a beeling towards one of the walls, Zachariel slaughtered those that stood before him, even as their blaster shots pelted his heavy armor. His rage demanded he stay and fight, but his logical side knew he had to escape now, lest he be heavily injured and captured. Not killed, never killed, for he couldn't be.

In but a few moments Zachariel was close to the wall. With a thought, Zachariel leapt over the wall using his jetpack. Landing on top of it, Zachariel turned around to gaze down towards Ingrid, wherever she was. Thought Zachariel hated simply running, he also knew it was better to live to kill another day. Ingrid had been a worthy opponent, and she had earned a promising spot in his trophy rack when he killed her. With a final salute, Zachariel blasted off, returning to his warband and the Maw.

It was the endgame, there wasn't much left of it. The building remained intact, not collapsing due to the woman's Force Scream, but her opponent was severely injured. Now it wasn't so far away for the man to lose. She may not have been able to kill him because of his ability to regenerate, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be able to exclude the man into another dimension from which there is no going back.

Since the man did not attack, the woman began another spell, but she no longer had the opportunity to finish it. The man said the raid was over and he was leaving. But she didn't want to let that happen. Made the hand gestures faster, exactly as she had learned from Adrian. What was surprising was that the man’s mind cleared after the attack, it was something the woman didn’t expect.

"No, you're not going anywhere, Mr. Steelblood, we're not done yet."

Said in a still cold voice. There were only two or three hand gestures left when the man saluted and then left. She lowered her hand, cold, there was no anger in her movement.

"Feth!"

Said aloud, then again when the grenade arrived. The woman sprinted out after the man, jumping over the grenade. By the time she got out, Zachariel was already in the air and the grenade had exploded inside. The woman watched the man for a few more seconds, who was able to escape, and then looked at the wounded, dead, and ruins.

They had a lot to do, and last but not least, they would have to strike back to the Maw someday for that.
