Drink, Ya Nerf Herders! [The Iron Empire]

Kiran Arlos

Kiran crossed the way, off to the side avoiding the dance floor as to avoid bumping into anyone and interrupting their time. The young man politely made his way through towards the bar as he took a seat and raised his hand towards the bartender who made his way over towards him. The bartender made a motion towards his tie and Kiran looked down slightly and then saw that his tie was slightly lopsided and he just chuckled and shook his head. "These things..." Kiran quickly raised his hand to his tie and straightened it up a bit as he looked over to the bartender and widened his eyes a bit in assurance that it looked better.

The bartender shook his head as he reached over the bar and fixed it himself as which Kiran was a bit taken by surprise and chuckled lightly. "Um, thanks." Kiran smiled and nodded nervously as he held his hand out to shake his afterwards.

"What's good on the menu tonight? I"m not much of a drinker but I figure a glass or two of something good couldn't hurt to much." Kiran wasn't a heavy drinker, or a drinker at all. However tonight wouldn't hurt to much as he would reintegrate himself into Iron Empire society and then come tomorrow it would be back to training as usual.

"Well, I always recommend the Corellian reserve, finest whiskey around these parts. However Praetor Heavenshield did put in an order for a better beer and whiskey be sent to these parts at least."

The young man nodded his head in reference to the Corellian reserve. "I'll have some of that then." The bartender nodded his head and poured Kiran a drink easily enough. "Good choice." And to his surprise he even poured his own self one, he raised his glass to Kiran and then Kiran began to raise his glass to his and the soft clink could be heard.

"To the Iron Empire." Kiran said softly enough and he took a small drink, and it turns out it was actually quite good.

Calderon continued to navigate his way through the crowds, before finding a set place at one of the bars. After waving down a server and procuring himself two mugs of ale, he'd lick his lips in anticipation for the liquid-confidence. Yet, as he turned to make his way back to the couple that was [member="Jake Daniels"] and [member="Valae Kitra"], he'd come face to face to an incoming [member="Jyoti Nooran"].

His mood changed suddenly once more, the slight joy that the drinks in his hands had given him was shifting to confusion. The colonel was confused at how to handle the interaction that was bound to happen as the Jedi approached.

Valkren released a mental sigh, figuring that he would not be able to avoid these situations for much longer. He had often wondered if he could, hoping to avoid the memories that arose. Now, he knew that it would be better to cease the childish act.

As the Jedi grew closer, Colonel Calderon would push one of the tankards of ale forward, offering it to Jyoti once she was in earshot.

"Master Nooran, it's nice to see you."

Thurion snapped in Valae's direction as she spoke, immediately trying to hide the mess he'd made on the wall behind him, smearing the purple nail polish all over to rid it from his fingers. However the sight of his old padawan was far and above enough to put a smile on his face - his first genuine one since his arrival. His arms wrapped themselves around her as she hugged him, eyes closed while settling his chin upon her head. "Hello, kiddo," he greeted her in soft voice. All at once the hustle and bustle of the party went quiet, becoming background noise. Only once their embrace came to an end did the music and constant chatter resume.

"I honestly have no idea," he chuckled, shrugging. "I received an invite from the Iron Emperor and figured life was too well on Midvinter, so here I am, feeling miserably out-of-place." It was not completely untrue, he did feel out-of-place. Miserably so. "You look just as lovely as ever, Val! Kashyyyk is treating you well, it seems."

With Valae hooking her arm into his they strode through the crowd, and Thurion couldn't help but feel her butterflies of nerves building up. For now he simply went with the flow and let her set the pace, as he did not have anything in mind regarding who to see or what to do. He saw her pointing at someone, a man her age from the looks of it. He'd never met the man before, but considering how nervous Valae seemed about it all, it became rather apparent he was someone important to her.

"Geez, Val. You're acting like you're introducing me to a boyfriend or something..."

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Solari"],

"Oh I quite understand."

HK retorted first at Solari's mention of spending time in stasis, held within Sith Lord's Tomb,

"Droids by nature are very long lived, almost immortal beings, especially when they have access to enough resources to replace their bodies. However, being always activated is not always appealing to everyone, so sometimes a droid decides to put himself in stasis, often locking himself in a tomb or sarcophagus-like structure, in order to wait out a galactic period until politics change, their rivals die, or simply until he is needed once more and someone reactivates him. This was what I have done just before the rise of the One Sith, sleeping until a Force user from the Firemane brought my sarcophagus to Csilla when the Iron Empire was still forming and dropped it onto the Sith they were battling, reactivating me in the process."

The droid recalled,

"But other than that, I suppose you could say I accumulated many talents and abilities over the years, some of which, like access to Vong-shaped armor, never before used by a droid, and the fact my current most utilized body is forged entirely out of Phrik helps me be more active without worry about sustaining injury in battle."

It was at that point that they were joined with by [member="Aster Rose Baelor"] and [member="Caelag Vass"], who yes he could recognize since his advanced scanners could probably see through layers of clothing, making HK one of the biggest repositories of celebrity nude pictures in the Galaxy, so it was probably in everyone's best intent that he was not captured by anyone ever.

"The Blind Sniper and Princess Baelor,"

HK addressed the two, giving them a nod, slight bow, in a greeting as he motioned to Solari,

"This is Solari, a Knight of Iron like me, or rather from an order of Iron Knights that are from the memories of my order once we disappeared and hid away in the Unknown Region."

The droid introduced his shard companion,

"I am glad to see that both of you are still alive, you both seemed rather adamant about charging headlong into battle the last time we saw each other."

That said Aster could probably remember the first time she met HK, when they were both pinned down in an abandoned house on Csilla and surrounded by the Sith, and the droid's solution to the situation back then being just charging the enemy and meeting them in melee because he was made of Phrik so what's the worst they could do to him? Scoff up his Phrik plates?

"And this is your valet I presume?"

HK asked, looking over to the Crown Prince who escorted Aster, apparently already trying to pick a fight with monarchy, whether that was on purpose or not was debatable though. Still, the machine was holding that rifle in his free hand and another Iron Knight in the other, both of which he could have used as weapons.
