  • Born Sarai Tommlan, Dispara's parents were traders. Her Sephi father, Human mother and their child traveled together on the family freighter. She was an adventurous and fearless girl. Even as a youth Sarai knew she was different. She just 'felt' it. And she could feel when someone else was 'different' too. She had even learned how to do some small tricks, but never showed anyone. Then, two days after her 10th birthday, the family landed on Antamont, a farming planet in the Outer RIm. The second night into their visit to trade for local goods, The family was attacked and Sarai was abducted.

Her captors were the Jarvashquiine, a coven of spiritual cultists, called shamans by the local population. For the Jarvashiquiine, access to their mystic powers (the Force) was believed possible only through blood rituals. Sarai's sacrifice would provide innocent blood to sustain their dark powers. As she was whisked away in a sack, struggling and crying for her parents, the child sensed it. Her attackers were 'different', like her. Sarai didn't want those terrible people to know, and she used that very power to hide it from them.

Not soon after, Sarai found herself bound to a table, surrounded by strangers in strange clothes. One, with more elaborate garb, stood over her with a dagger in his hand. The girl knew what was to come. She writhed and wriggled, straining and reaching for that unseen thing she had known as long as she could remember. Something gave way and she was able to slip a wrist from its bonds. The plucky girl snatched the dagger from the shaman's hand and plunged the dagger into his chest. The man fell to his knees, clutching his bleeding chest. Stunned into inaction, the onlookers watched aghast as the girl cut the rest of her bonds and jumped off the table. There was no room to escape, so she simply waved the dagger menacingly before her, scowling, smeared in blood.

The dying chief murmured words she could not understand, then collapsed. Sarai felt the dagger tugged from her grasp to fly from her hand into that of one of the shaman women. The woman holding the dagger walked forward and knelt before the remarkable girl. "Shhh..." The woman crooned, her face painted with black and red paint, "...it is you, you have received the blood rite. You have been chosen. You have the Powers, I sense it." She added in a strange accent.

Her parents had been killed during Sarai's abduction. The bold young girl was raised by her family's murders. Sarai became one of them. The new Shaman Mother finished raising Sarai, whom she renamed Dispara, teaching her the way of the Jarvashqiine magic. She became strong in their dark mysticism. But she was not content with the primitive, sheltered life of the shamans. She knew the galaxy was larger, she had been there. Certainly the magic she had learned could grow more powerful, out there, beyond the limits of the Jarvashquiine.

Making her decision, Dispara waited for traders to arrive again to the planet, and she purchased passage with them in the guise of a star-eyed young woman eager to see the galaxy. Her quest for more knowledge and power had begun. Her journey would be filled with difficulty, blood, violence and crime. She learned that the nature of her abilities did not require blood rituals to perpetuate. She only need tap into this thing called the Force. But she had only known the Dark Side, and learned of its ultimate corruption of a being. Dispara struggled to keep from that corruption, constantly struggling to straddle a fence that did not exist, in what many arguably called the Grey. She joined a pirate crew, and worked her way to take the ship herself, relieving the incompetent captain of his command with her vibroblade through his chest.

Allying herself with the pirates of the Kraken Coalition, she participated in many of their heists and escapades. But the haunting of her past nagged at her. She wanted to finally put it all behind her, to truly become Dispara the Pirate Witch, and erase the heartache of her childhood. She left her friends and returned to Antamont. Then, single-handedly, she killed every last member of the Jarvashquiine Shamans there, even the woman who had raised her from the age of ten. Avenging the death of her parents, and her stolen childhood, Dispara created her own surname, Na'Gara.
