      • chromium finish
    • Fast discharge electrical capacitors
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Blaster
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Average
  • Ammunition Type:
    • Blaster power cells in hand grip
    • Expendable Fast discharge capacitors (replaced by breaking barrel as pictured)
  • Ammunition Capacity: Average
    • Power cells last hundreds of shots
    • Expendable capacitors must be swapped out after 24 shots
  • Effective Range: Personal
    • On the slightly shorter side of pistol range as electrical density dissipates quickly
  • Rate of Fire: High
  • Damage Output: Extreme
    • Damage output Extreme on kill setting, High on stun - marked extreme for balance purposes
    • for resistance purposes, targets lower of energy/ion resistance
  • Recoil: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Fires a dense ball of electrical energy that could easily be mistaken for a blaster shot if slightly blue coloured
  • 2 fire settings
    • stun - electrical discharge is enough to scramble to electrical impulses of the target body and incapacitate them, depending on the size neurological resistance, and number of hits on the target, this could be from minutes to hours - on an average build human around an hour can be expected for a single successful hit.
    • kill - the electrical discharge scrambles nerves, melting myelin sheaths and damaging synapses, in this mode it has a similar effect to a heavy ion hit on an electrical circuit. In this mode it is just as lethal to organics and electrical non-organics.
STRENGTHS
  • Extreme stopping power on kill setting - targets the lower of both energy and ion resistances and the discharge is extremely intense, even targets immune to ion/energy could potentially take damage from the bursting ball, but this would only be equivalent to the damage of a very light blaster pistol
  • Optional modes - gives the weapon functionality beyond purely a tool for death
  • Very Quiet - not silent, but quieter than a standard blaster pistol
WEAKNESSES
  • Very poor weapon versus lightsaber wielders - the charge, even on kill setting is very easily absorbed into a lightsaber blade with virtually no risk to the wielder
  • Delicate electrical components - the weapon can be damaged more easily than a standard blaster if subject to force, the replaceable capacitor being the most vulnerable point, but other parts of the gun also being vulnerable.
  • Electrocution risk - if the gun is submerged in water, or if the weapon is damaged, it can be a potential risk of electrocution to the user
DESCRIPTION
The Electro-pulse pistol is a powerful weapon originally designed purely to kill droids, but was found to be equally dangerous to organics.

When Cass Gemini got her hands on a shipment of them, she loved hers, but found it just a little over the top for some missions. She paid some black market weapon smiths to add a lower setting so she could use it to stun enemies as a secondary function. This did make the gun a little more risky to the wielder as the new components added damaged the integrity of the original shock shielding, but the change worked and Cass saw it as a massive improvement.
