Darkness Calls [Order of Black Hand]

I was born on-board a ship, but raised on Nar Shadaa. Orphaned since birth, I was raised by a cast-away Sith. He was banished for not vowing to follow all of the Sith codes. He trained me until about a year ago when him and I were attacked for a botched contract. I learned mostly the art of stealth and subterfuge. He taught me to keep an open mind, since the Force can guide me down any path, I must remain willing to learn everything I can.
James began to feel relaxed, he felt the Force around him, flowing through him.

Rat listened to what Vilox had to say, and boy did he say a mouthful. He explained to the young man the history of the the first dark jedi and how they became Sith. And how they lost their way from being dark Jedi, and instead become tools of the dark side of the force. And that all of us should be wary to not fall down that same path. Well that was Rat got from his story anyhow. "Wow. "Rat said quietly to himself , impressed by Vilox knowledge of not just the galactic history of the Republic but also his extensive knowledge of the force. "Thanks for the history lesson Vilox , "Rat joked at first, but quickly became more serious. And spoke in a much colder tone. Well as cold or emotionless a child voice could get. His eyes narrowed in on Vilox's eyes , and he removed any sort of naivety or happiness in his face and displayed a very cold exterior. To signify how serious he was about this matter . "But believe me. I do not plan on becoming a slave to the force or to anyone else for that matter. I will master both sides of the force and become my own master. And walk the path of both light and dark, and find the balance between harmony and rage. That is my reason for being here. " Rat continued. Before he tilted his head slightly back , and quickly changing his voice back into a friendly child like voice filled with glee and nativity , his facial expression also changed back to a child like innocence of happiness and serenity . " I do however welcome your teachings though. And perhaps one day we will be able train together." He continued to speak to Vilox.

Rat than turned to the one the Dark Father had called the prophet or Salinea Avenir , when she mentioned his nickname. And immediately Rat noticed something was off about the woman as soon as she looked into his eyes. Her facial expression had changed from being well composed to sad, with slight hint of shock in her facial expression . Rat was puzzled for a moment by this expression, it was as if she was piercing into his very soul and saw something no one else in the room have. Rat was about to inquire to her about what she saw in him ,but that was when she had asked Rat a question about what she should call him. Rat shrugged his shoulder at her question and said "Names are pretty, but mostly pointless in the passage of time. You 'sister' may call me either or. Personally it don't really care what you call me, just as long as it's not too offensive. "He than paused to himself, before continuing to say. "You don't mind me calling you sister right? "Rat asked her, not wanting to presume on their friendship.

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
"No." she answered, not trying to seem anymore odd than she already did given he reaction to what she'd learned. "I do suppose it is customary, now that we are inducted into this....brotherhood, as it were." She extended one arm out to @[member="Rat Six"] and said "But, if you are to have the same option as me in choosing names, then you may call me Salina Aviner." As she waited to see of Rat would shake her hand or not, Xira, her serpent pet, had peeked it's head out from the hood her dress and gave a light hiss towards him. Salina merely said "Don't mind her. She's always nervous around strangers."

Rat let out a mental sigh of relief , when Salina told him it was alright for him to call her sister. Giving the nature of their order having no hierarchy, Rat consider everyone here to be his brothers or sisters in the ways of the force. And consider everyone here to be his new adopted family. And it also helped him feel more at ease when talking to them.

"Salina Avinir. "Rat said as he raised an eyebrow. "You have pretty name, tell why did you answer Dark Father call? "Rat reached out to shake her hand, but paused for a moment when he heard the hissing of a snake. And he immediately look up to see a snake on the top of her head. Rat was not afraid of snakes, but it took him by surprised to see such a creature up there. She must really be comfortable with snakes to have that thing slither around her body as it did. "You like snakes?" Rat asked Salina, as he shook her hand.

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
Answering his first question of why she'd come, Salina said "I had wondered myself. But after hearing the explanations from both Vilox and Judas themselves, I believe the main reason I answered was because I could. Choice, that is all we have when fate presents us with the option. After that we are slaves to the destiny of that choice." Next came the question of her liking snakes to which she replied "Xira, here, is not a snake. She is an amphistaff. And she's my dearest friend." To explain and show what Xira was, Salina pulled her from her hood, draping her across her arms, before whispering something into Xira's ear. The sperent then became stiff like a stick in her hands as Salina held her as such. "See?" she asked @[member="Rat Six"]

"One cannot walk both sides of the force. You can only be free or held down." He turned his gaze to Salina and said to the both of them, "This communique will allow you to get in contact with me." He passed over the device to Salina, as he was more interested in the woman than Rat Six. "Farewell."

Lifting his hood over his head, he turned away from them and departed from the citadel. When he arrived on the Obscurity, the Attrition-class Star Destroyer departed the Vjun system for Empire space.

Stray had not exactly heard the words.. or more like he had not understood them. But they drew him to the location in curiosity. lucky for him he had "acquired" a ship and learned to fly to find this place. Exiting hyperspace over ~what is this planet?~ he thought to himself as he flew down and landed the old, rundown ship and got out. His purple eyes seemingly glowed under his long bangs that shadowed his face. he could since other people there and looked for them. ~careful Stray.. they may not be friendly" he thought as he walked.

After a bit he found a citadel and cautiously walked to the doors and stepped inside looking around " h..hello?" he said in a slightly nervous tone. He was unsure of himself and did not know what he would find within the building he had entered.

After Vilox had left, giving her the communique information, Salina simply bowed and "watched" as he left. Carefully she put Xira in her hand and held her like a cane before hearing someone ask "h..hello?" Turning in the general direction of the source she said "Yes? It's alright. You can come out. You are among friends." She could see in aura but not greatly, since he was still hiding. With her free hand she beckoned him to come closer.

"Everyone here is free to roam the citadel as they choose. Below the staircase behind me will lead you to the living quarters. You can settle yourselves in whatever space you deem to your wishes. I will retire to my chambers now. There is much to be done and ample time to progress towards this era."

Yet another had emerged from the grand doors.

"See to that the other one finds his way to his private space as well."

The ancient turned slowly as the hooded acolytes trailed behind him and up a spiraling staircase.

Stray walked closer to them looking around " what is this place?" he asked shyly. He wont use to being around people, and was unsure how to handle it. @[member="Salina Aviner"]

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
As @[member="Stray"] had asked, all at once Salina's powers began to see into his past. She could see it all. The mute parents, the name calling, the pain, the anger, everything he'd done to get to where he was and how he came to this place. Yet another sad story behind such a young face, like Rat. She was silent after seeing this and let it all sink in, yet another horrible thing to come with her powers: seeing how bad a person's past could be. Finally she answered his question with "A home."

her words seemed to calm the stray boy a little but he still seamed very skittish about something and was still unsure if he should trust them. She seemed nice enough but the others where another story as they had yet to speak to him. @[member="Salina Aviner"]

Taking a step towards him, Salina said "I'm Salina. It's alright. You don't have to worry about me." When @[member="Judas"] had spoke, saying to follow him down to the quarters, she looked back in @[member="Stray"] 's general direction, still acting as though she couldn't see his aura, and asked "Would you like to help a blind woman to her room?" extending her arm out for him to take.

" uh... i'm Stray" He said stepping up to her " and s sure i'll help" he said his voice shaking a little bit. @[member="Salina Aviner"]

She nodded slightly as he took her arm and walked with her. "Such a kind boy." she commented. As they walked she holstered Xira, still as a cane/stick, on her arm, allowing @[member="Stray"] to act almost as a seeing eye dog (no pun intended). Having seeing his past Salina knew that he tended to be manipulative in making people think he was timid before turning on them. Keeping that to herself and hoping to appeal to his better nature Salina kept a more polite composure. "Have you traveled far to come here, Stary?" she asked.

" i guess so.." he said sighing " i live on Nar Shadda most my life" he said looking down as he walked with her. @[member="Salina Aviner"]

"I used to live on Alderaan." she said, trying to keep the conversation going. "They tell me it's a lovely place. But I wouldn't really know." Her eyes looked over towards him, letting him fully see their pale blue coloring and expressing how, in a regular sense, they were useless to her. "But since then I've traveled all about the galaxy. One system to the next." @[member="Stray"]

"Regardless what you may think brother, I'll believe that one can have the inner peace the Jedi speak of, along with the emotional drive of the Sith. "Rat than paused to himself as he though about that for a moment. He knew such a tthing might have been unheard off or even radical for one such as Vilox. Being he was much older and far more powerful than Rat could have ever imagined him to be and that he already had his own method of using the force, but this was his reason for being here. To somehow find that balance, that and to find a place he belong. However Vilox seemed uninterested in the young man opinions and simply turned his back while Rat was speaking to him. Which had made angry, and he was about to say something ugly to the older man but that was when Salina showed Rat her amphistaff.
@Salina Avinir
Rat looked in amazement as Salina grab her snake into the palm of her hand and whispered something into its ear. Before it straighten itself into a staff, and than somehow harden itself into some kind wood material . "Cool." Rat said in astonishment. To Rat it seemed like some kind of dark magic or maybe even Sith sorcery. "Rat had done some research into Sith sorcery, but found the whole thing to be....unpleasant Rat than smile slyly before saying. "I betcha no one ever took your lunch money back at school . Rat joked about how her snake can turn itself into a weapon, and slightly chuckle to himself quietly.
@[member="Stray"]
That was when another newcomer came in, this one being a teenager with black hair and....purple eyes apparently. Rat wondered to himself did the boy had purple contacts in or did He do some surgery to his eyes, either way the purple eyes really did suited him. "Hello brother, my name is Rat Six. And welcome to your new family . "Rat said as he greeted the newcomer , but it seemed like he was more comfortable in talking with Salina. Not surprising. Rat just simply fell silent and followed the two as they walked to their room.
Until he heard that Stray was from Rat home world Nar Shadda. "Really your from Nar Shadda too? It's a small galaxy after all. "Rat said to Stray in an effort to join in on the conversation. "Which sector are you from? "Rat asked.

James came up behind @[member="Stray"] and @[member="Salina Aviner"], Good to see another survivor from Nar Shadaa, Mathison...James held out his hand. Mistress 'Avina' is it? Pleasure to meet you both.

Hearing both @[member="Rat Six"] and @James Mathison came up, speaking of how they were from Nar Shadaa just like @[member="Stray"] . This made her feel more comfortable to know that some of the others had already had something in common. Salina had t feel around for a moment before finding James' hand and saying "Aviner, actually. Pleasure to meet you." When Rat began talking with Stray, trying to get in on the conversation, she held out her other arm and asked "Would you like to escort me as well, Rat? You and Stray could learn more about each other, and I'll feel like a lucky woman for having such two nice boys helping me." As she said it Xira had slithered up her sleeve and was out of sight. She was trying to show all of them, even James, that among everyone else among the Order she was one they could certainly trust. While they were sure to have their hesitation, and possibly tension, towards other members, Salina wanted all members to know that, aside from @[member="Judas"], there was her that was a definite.
