PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

A lean young man, Dacian has closely-cut dirty blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. Somewhat swarthier than his father due to his Paddox lineage, his skin goes from being a pasty white to a very bronzed tan depending on how much time he's either been on a ship or been exploring a new world - there seems to rarely been any sort of inbetween when it comes to his skin tone. In most instances, he wears what appears to be common spacer clothes that are on the trendier side, though these are actually typically Cabarello-series Armored Clothes. Onboard his frigate, he typically wears a Directorate naval officer uniform, as befitting his nominal role as its captain. However, Dacian is nothing if practical, and will wear nearly anything as long it works and makes sense, even if it isn't the most stylish or clean.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Dacian is a relatively easy-going, optimistic man who has a penchant that things can always be improved. He is fairly nonjudgmental, except when the subject of "imperials" and "empires" get involved. He believes that if a concept or idea is working for a person or group of people, and as long as it isn't adversely affecting anyone else, it's best to leave the matter be, even if he personally doesn't get it or agree with it.

STRENGTHS

Master Sailor: Dacian is well-versed as a general spacer, and is quite capable of piloting and making general repairs on dozens of common spacecraft. Additionally, he is fairly proficient in basic combat, bartering, and other skills commonly needed for a freelancer spacer to make a prosperous living on the sometimes rough spacelanes. He has additionally participated in some minor design work with his father's conglomerate, giving him a number of technical skills and experiences which have proved in a pinchn.
Polyglot: Both of his parents pushed him to become proficient in speaking a half dozen languages, with his father Gir pushing him to learn mon calamari because of that man's extended adopted family, while his mother's political and mercantile social circles naturally exposed him to a variety of other languages
Noble Scion: While his mother was minor royalty distantly related to House Pelagia of the Tapani sector, this connection along with those of his father has given him excellent access to all sorts of education, people, and experiences that only most people can dream of. He consequently has a fair number of social connections across the social strata along the galaxy, along with practical experience working alongside Directorate military personnel and their allies.

WEAKNESSES

Vendetta (Imperial Factions): Growing up in the Tempered Wastes with his father and people constantly at war with warlords and other "Imperial"-styled governments that cropped among this region of Wild Space, young Dacian harbors an almost illogical hatred of "Imperials", to the point where he won't cooperate even with nominally friendly people even if they are only stylistically embrace the image of the Empire of old. This lack of love is two-way, and several Imperial sympathesizing organizations have active bounties on his head for his interference in their work.
Slight of Build: Neither of his parents were particularly muscular, and Dacian has the lean frame of both. While reasonably fast and "athletic", he does not have brute strength, which can be a liability in combat or in the rough tumble life of a spacer.
Go with the Flow: Dacian is easily influence by those around him, and generally just goes with the flow of things, even if it isn't really to his advantage.

HISTORY

The son of Gir Quee, one-time Galactic Republic and Silver Jedi Concord admiral and Lucerne Labs conglomerate CEO, and Duchess Corde Paddox of House Pelagia, Dacian Quee-Paddox is an aspiring ship captain and wanderer who is looking to establish himself independently as his own person outside of his family's social circle. While his relative push for independence from his parents has ostensibly been peaceful, both he and his parents have underlying concerns that are not discussed openly. His parents worry that he is not strong and independent enough to function without oversight or with a safety net, while Dacian does not want to be trapped by his parents concerns. His father has given himself a heavily modified, the Stellar Venture, to command, along with an entourage of trusted advisors to help run the vessel while Dacian finds his way exploring the galaxy and looking for new opportunities to build his own independence and influence. It has been arrangement that has worked well so far, but one that has only just started.
