- Warrior: With extremely well-developed defensive and offensive capabilities, the Outlander is able to survive the toughest of conditions and most rugged of environments. In addition, the strike foils of the starfighter can be deployed to give the craft better maneuverability, especially in-atmosphere, at the expense of speed.
- Starchaser: With a top-of-the-line 0.8-grade hyperdrive, on top of its fast speeds, makes the Outlander a starship to carry Mandalorian warriors far and wide.
- Large Profile: The Outlander has a larger ship profile than most standard starfighters, meaning it's easier to target and hit purely because of its physical size.
- Squadron Count: Each starfighter is its own 'squadron' making it a poor choice as a hangar complement.
Another antique starship design discovered and revitalized by the industrious starshipwrights of the Enclave, the CVT-48 Outlander-class Starfighter is a single-seat fighter meant to cater to the lone wolf-type of the warrior; those who seek and yearn for something beyond the starfield in front of them. It is also in terms of hull design one of the most explorative ships to be made by the Enclave yet, and in its initial release saw a great deal of popularity from in-need-of-ship Mandalorians.
In all aspects, the Outlander is solid starcraft. It has an exceptional offensive and defensive capabilities, and speed and maneuverability too. It is in many ways the most aggressive of ships released by the Enclave to date; with the addition of s-foils, the Outlander can deploy into 'attack position' which grants the starfighter better maneuverability at the expense of a decrease in speed. But while it is in every way intended for warriors, it is also intended for adventurers. It has an extraordinarily-high hyperdrive grade of 0.8, allowing it to travel at speeds hardly touched by even contemporary craft. Its strike foils also come in handy when exploring new environments and planets.
Altogether, the Outlander is an extremely stable and stoic ship, perfect for the Mandalorian who wants to explore the stars. . . or blow them up.
