Bristling - The weapons systems aboard are more than capable of dealing with your typical starfighters in a dogfight, and can threaten some larger ships as well.
Armored Up - With a robust armor plating, shields, and damage control systems, the ship can take a decent beating.
Speed - Using three of the VOID engine systems in optimal alignment, a baseline speed well above the standard was achieved.
Agility - Linking three of the VOID engine systems together after optimizing the vane systems, a baseline agility well above the standard was achieved.
Jamming Systems - Two systems paired together make this ship a nightmare to find. With an ever changing paint scheme that can match its surroundings, and a sensor fooling system to boot, this is the perfect ship to make daring raids and slippery getaways.

I'm Sorry Dave - The vessel is more than capable of being operated by a single pilot that is tied to the on board droid flight system. Anyone not cleared by the system however might find themselves locked in the flight cabin or the system non-responsive. As well, when operated by a single pilot with the on board droid, the combat capabilities of the vessel are reduced.
Variables - When the VOID systems are active, it detracts from the appropriate capabilities of the vessel; i.e. making the vessel slower but more maneuverable and vice versa.
Dead Giveaway - The downside of having the Vanish system is that any use of the weapons systems besides the minelayer will break the charade.
Static Shock - The Electro-chemical Paint reacts to electric current and can be an issue when hiding if the need to change one's color scheme occurs. As well, if an outside current is absorbed by the paint, it could shift colors wildly.
Improperly Timed - When shifting the Electro-chemical paint to match the surroundings, an initial charge of electricity is used, and can cause detection by finely tuned scans.

A vessel sent in for modernization from an unknown client, the Crimson Shadow was a surprising gem to be handed given the specs that were requested. A relic from the past that somehow was still operating in these times. A quick examination of the data systems revealed that it had been held in a sort of stasis prior to arrival, making it far less of an interesting relic and simply a neat thing to come across the PGEM line for modification.

Older systems such as the laser cannons were swapped out for a dedicated high potency Spray-blast cannon housed in a dedicated ball turret alongside the newer Ion Cannon. Both connected to the pilot's console to allow the cannons to track a target with ease in the midst of a dogfight. Twin Assault Laser Cannons replaced the older ones, each double barrel configuration set in the same rotating turret configuration to keep with the need to attack a starfighter to the rear of the vessel.

The minelayer system was largely left alone given the soft spot many of the designers at PGEM had for the weapon system. Only cleaning and maintaining the system until an idea struck to enhance the delivery system slightly. Modifying a catapult pressor until it was able to tightly focus its pressor beam only on the seismic charge itself rather than the munition and the surrounding panels of the rear of the starship. Thankfully having tested the setup outside of the planned mounting as several test runs ended with unsuccessful clearance of the seismic charge. Content with that modification, the overhaul continued by adding additional sensor masking systems along with a reactive paint scheme to alter the paint job of the entire ship.

Trading the idea of a cloaking system for a sensor masking system as some modifications across the holonet searches had revealed. With the ship visible to the naked eye despite the sensor masking, it was decided that the outer hull would use a reactive paint system to mask it from a visual search. The difficult part came with making the cockpit comfortable in some way while allowing the user to have a somewhat hot meal to boot.

Thankfully, the reduction of space needed for a hyperdrive given the company's own engine system allowed for a small area to be made into a sort of cook station. Highly limited granted, as it's only a third of the systems that are normally included. Climate control directed through the pilots console along with a formcot pad for the pilot's chair. Unable to make a number of the systems work outside of the gyro system and forced gravity controls of the ship aside from the small inclusion of the heat plate, caf-distiller, and cooling chamber.

Worries about the added gravitation distress caused to the shifting fields kept the designers from adding too much to the interior as the ship was inspected and ran through a dry run to ensure the systems functioned as expected before the owner was alerted for pick up.
