Quintessa’s big, hypersensitive ears twitched as they registered the rumbling stalactites Having evolved to perceive the wing beats of the massive aerial predator raptors of what had been the Asa’nyx homeworld, the organs were more than capable of perceiving threats from above. It was at that point her Farsight activated to clue her in to what exactly would transpire. Accordingly, Quintessa immediately launched her body into a flying lateral somersault, the maneuver’s power enhanced by the Force to carry her 7 meters to the left of her original position. Even so, it was only just enough to avoid the spray of debris and rock shards as the stalactites struck the ground, with one scratching a small cut across her cheek, drawing a small measure of blood in the process.

“Last mistake!” Quintessa hissed, before launching herself into a blinding sprint at the wind speed of a strong tornado and in doing so, using the stalactites as cover, since many of them were easily bigger than her. However, rather than closing the distance, the tiny speedster sought to run around her opponent, until she was on his adjacent flank.

A split-second later, Quintessa slid to a halt and immediately fired her gauntlet-integrated cable launcher at Manius’ throat from 12 meters away, with the intent to rip the sharp spike at the cable’s head through the giant’s carotid artery!

Quintessa was like a blur, though she had been this entire fight it seemed. Seemingly only stopping if he managed to get a hit or if she chose to taunt and or remark on the fight. He didn’t count on the falling rocks to be able to strike her. Yet she was too quick still and too insistent on not getting close. Perhaps already learning her lesson when he grabbed and slammed her into the rocky volcanic floor of the cave.

Still kneeling on his good leg, Manius took in a deep breath and closed his eyes for only a moment after her saying he made his last mistake. Though brief he looked almost tranquil in the moment, which wasn’t very Sith like him. But inside he recalled his early programmed memories. Manius was a living weapon, a fate he never chose nor wanted. Through his passion he would gain strength, through strength gain power and so on and so forth.

With his precognition the brute opened his eyes after she stopped and fired her cable launcher and reacted quickly with his good arm. Finally letting go of the stalagmight that he used to support him and instead leg the spike at the end of the cable pierce into his forearm to block it from cutting into his throat. It stung, but it was far from a vibro-blade. Quickly after which he grabbed the cable and wrapped it around his arm. His fiery eyes darted over to her 12 meters away. He didn’t look mad with rage like before, instead showing a sort of tranquil fury. Without a spoken word he powerfully tugged on the cable, had a death grip and had stabbed into his arm. In an attempt to launch his tiny opponent towards him and force her to finally close the distance. After his yoink once Quintessa was close enough, with his powerful arm and fist cocked back he would punch. All to strike her small frame with his fist and knock her into the ground.

Quintessa didn’t hesitate. Her Farsight flared a warning as soon as she saw the Null move to wrap the cable around his arm and in accordance with it, the speedster slashed the cable with the gauntlet vibroblade on her opposite arm, immediately severing the connection. There was little use for it once it had done its job, beyond impeding her ability to move. At the very least, she had succeeded in opening another cut in her opponent’s growing list of injuries, which might soon cause him to bleed out.

Nevertheless, Quintessa knew that she would have to finish the giant, rather than wait him out. His powerful connection to the dark side might very well sustain him through anything short of an immediately fatal or disabling wound.

It was time to sever the head from the snake, or failing that, remove its ability to persist in crawling.

The dark side charging her muscles like a battery, Quintessa launched herself into a dead sprint with such velocity to rival a devastating tornado, thereby closing the 12 meters of distance separating her from the Null within a tiny fraction of a second. Sprinting towards her opponent’s left side in an attempt to exploit the weakness that was his shoulder, Quintessa planted a foot at the very last moment, executing a deceptive, high-speed sidestep maneuver which carried her between the Null’s legs instead.

As she ran, the speedster leveled the vibroblade on her right arm in a slashing attack directed from her right-to-left side in a diagonal swing, aimed to take off the giant’s right leg!

Manius couldn’t even tell what was going on anymore, she was too fast. He wasn’t able to pull her into his fist, she was too quick. Severing herself from the cable that connected them. Only noticing after he tugged on it, although the force caused the cable to whip back past him, the sound of it cutting through the air and slicing with deep impact into a nearby stalagmight.

The cord still wrapped around his arm as he turned as he tried to keep track of her to the best of his ability. Only catching glimpses of his opponent before she charged right for him with such velocity that it threw him off as she dashed between his legs. Using all his strength and balance to keep from getting blown over by the wind and generated by her speedy form.

The next thing Manius knew was collapsing onto the rocky cave floor. Only after a wave of pain washed over his leg where part of it had been cut off did he understand what had just happened. One cut after another had rendered Manius almost harmless… almost.

Clenching his teeth he yelled out with a closed jaw in anguish. He would get her back for that, he needed too. With his "good" arm, his fist clenched the cable that was coiled around. From the ground Manius looked over at Quintessa and moved his arm. WIth a wide arc the cable flexed and maneuvered in the air above him. Moving in a nigh-unpredictable manner. Using the cable like a whip, it whistled in the air before letting out a thunderous crack as he used it to strike the small speedster, using its long reach to get to her from his lack of mobility. She was a mid range skirmisher, so he would play her game.

A part of her wanted to wait him out, to see if the Null might finally surrender.

Manius collapsed to the ground as Quintessa slid to a halt 20 meters behind him, a savage roar escaping from his lips as the injury caused him to collapse, now that he no longer had a good leg left to support himself with. And yet, even from the ground, he sought to fight on. Seeing him clench the cable, the speedster threw herself into a spinning pirouette, carrying her tiny form 5 meters to the left. However, the maneuver did nothing to allow her to evade the incoming cable, which struck across her shins, drawing a pained cry from her lips in the process.

Glancing down, Quintessa saw her bodysuit’s miniaturized shield projectors flare in reaction to the strike. They had succeeded in mitigating much of the damage, but the pain lancing through her nerves told her that the cable would leave a deep welt across her lower legs. Fortunately, the cable wasn’t a true whip. While the Null had cracked the wire with no insignificant amount of strength, it lacked a cutting edge.

And yet, she could still draw on the pain it had inflicted as a font of power.

Sparing the Null no acknowledgment save for a sharp hiss, Quintessa pushed herself back onto her feet, before running off into the distance with the speed of a bolt cast from a crossbow, kicking up dust and wind in her wake.

For a moment, it might seem as if the speedster had retreated.

However, only five seconds later, she was back. First as a soft whistle in the distance, then a whoosh as she closed in towards Manius at full tilt, moving with the speed of a fast repulsor bike. Knowing that Manius couldn’t have moved far (or at all, potentially), the speedster leveled her entire 34 kilogram mass into a flying kick directed towards the Null’s chest, harnessing her velocity to effectively turn herself into a kinetic kill vehicle.

A potential coup de grâce.

Although it was hard for him to see, he could tell that he’d managed to strike his opponent with the makeshift whip. Only seeing Quintessa pick herself back up and run off. Mainus wondered if the cable thrashing he gave her was more severe than he’d thought. Confused for a moment as he tried to pull himself up into more of an upright sitting position. Unfortunately the brute was a sitting duck and what came next he couldn’t really prepare himself for.

Only catching a mere glimpse of Quintessa before she collided into him with all her speed and might. Using her own form as a weapon as she kicked into his chest. The impact of which almost instantly shattered his ribcage, even in her tiny form she moved with so speed her size didn’t matter. Kicking into his chest with over 300 kilojoules of force it was like the explosive force of a grenade blasted into his body. Quintessa’s biggest concern now would be making sure her leg didn’t get stuck inside of him. But with The Force such a gruesome situation could likely be avoided.

Along with obliterating his chest, Manius's body was knocked back along the ground considerably from her impact and sheer momentum. His backside crashed into the ridged cave wall. If the hulking Sith wasn’t done for earlier he was now, using all his energy both physically and metaphysically through The Force just to keep himself breathing. There was no way for him to even raise his fist against her now. Struggling just to keep himself from slipping into unconsciousness. Not even able to yell out in pain.

Her biggest problem was the sheer amount of blood.

Quintessa slid to a halt, barely able to see past the crimson essence splattered over her eyes. Wiping her eyes in order to clear her vision, the tiny Asa’nyx glanced at her blood-soaked hand for only a moment before wiping it against her leg, staining the lower half of her bodysuit even more.

Then, she took a deep, invigorating breath, inhaling the mildly ferric notes of blood in the process.

“You…” Quintessa breathed again. “Fought well…Manius.” She huffed, before a sharp, hacking cough escaped from her lips, aggravating the broken ribs she had suffered at Manius’s hands. With that, the speedster waited a moment for the Null’s response, though it didn’t take the tiny Asa’nyx long to see that he was unable to give any last words in his state.

<“To the Sozeal—our Eternal Father, may you save this one’s soul. From Darkness he was born, to Darkness he shall return.”> Quintessa recited softly.

Then, the speedster was a blur of motion as she moved to slash her vibroblade across what was left of Manius’s throat, intending to deliver the mercy strike.
