Public Character of the Month - July 2026 - Nominations

Hey folks,

Summer is still attempting to melt my brain. However, I am still surviving and we have another character of the month to do! I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer and having fun on the board! I am looking forward to all the nominations and seeing what everyone else is getting up to in their threads! Been having a lot of fun in my own threads personally!

Rules are as following:

• Nominate a character that is not of your writing that has impressed you in the last month.
• Give the reasons why.
  • Please include thread links for others to see why you love the character so much.
• You may nominate someone that has already been nominated, they will be listed once in the voting stage and the reasons combined into one.
• This is for In Character stuff.
• During the nomination step, you must ask the winner a question for your nomination to count. Yes, that means in this thread, along with the nomination also put a question for the eventual winner, ya scamp.
• During the voting, please limit yourselves to one vote.
• Character must have been active in the last month to qualify, would be great if you would keep it to the last months exploits too.
• Characters can only win once.
• Please do not nominate Staff.

I recently stepped out of my bubble and went to write with the TSC during the skirmish on Humbarine. Greatly enjoyed writing with her (and the TSC) and have greatly enjoyed reading her posts. Especially the thread between her and Acier Moonbound ; Rattlesnake, it was excellent.

Question: Where do you want to take your character? Does their story have an end, or are you going with the flow?

Third the nomination for Arris Windrun . I have had the pleasure of seeing first hand the journey Arris has taken from a Dark Horse brawler to the absolute nightmare she has turned into since. She is great at IC drama and trauma, and few writers focus as much on trying to write with as many people as possible, including them in cool narratives and stories.

My question: What do you think your character would need to actually become happy?

The character journey has been nothing short of fascinating and attention grabbing. Not to mention I am a sucker for characters who do not know how to healthily deal with trauma.

Me obviously.

Anyways I’m loving the stuff Arris is putting out and really driving home their story while also uplifting others to do the same.

The blogs are great. The subs related to the character are inspiring, and the dynamics Arris has in threads are fun reads.

Finally, love what they do for the Covenant faction, and genuinely how approachable they are, both IC and OOC. You're guaranteed to have a good time writing with Arris, even if it's just brief interactions or references in larger threads.

He's a hell of a writer, fun to collaborate with, doesn't get mad when I...uh...someone accidentally blows something up, and knows how to keep a story plot going.

I've honestly been thinking about nominating someone myself, but I've been struggling to limit myself to one single person. However, I would like to nominate Orinn Darge for character of the month. The quantity and quality of their RP has been honestly impressive, as evident in Operation: Ashbreaker and the Ruisto Expedition. Really enjoying what you've been doing so far, and I'm looking forward to the future!

My question: How do you see yourself developing or growing you character? Are their any IC goals you character wishes to achieve?

Ronhar Tane I really appreciate the love! This character is really a blast to write and the MIR and BIR folks have been super gracious and welcoming to a newcomer like me

To answer your question, IC, Orrin is a dedicated field commander, though he is still a "junior" officer. He longs for opportunities to put his platoon to the test in a variety of operations and theatres. He is also career-minded, and hopes to be advance in the command structure of MSOC "Valkyrie" some day. In the meantime, he wants to get as many missions under his belt as possible!
