's darker tone. He basically chopped off Cora's hand, and somehow the aftermath was her gaining an annoying younger brother. I’ll admit I’m rather terrible about sticking to my little writing bubble with the same partners and not branching out as much as I should, so the support means even more. This community is stacked with talent, and getting this kind of nod is def appreciated as well.

Cool, unfortunately! He’s got that ‘trained since childhood’ thing going on so it prob looks coordinated? A fair amount of inspo for him comes from boxing/combat sports, so I’ve written quite a few scenes of him logging roadwork first thing in the morning. The twin

QUESTION - What's the most traumatic thing that's ever happened to this character?
The most traumatic moment/biggest turning point would've been the Galactic Kaggath where he nearly died. The aftermath was where everything snapped into place and he began to finally embrace the Dark vs hovering on the fence. All of that was right before he linked up with the Covenant.
Question: What inspired you to make your character, what drives you through their narrative?
The original concept was influenced by Egg after my second read through of
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! Book Egg is sharper through Dunk's internal monologue and you get to piece more of his royal upbringing through manners/knowledge/reactions to other nobles. At that time I’d been entertaining the idea of writing a noble Padawan.. someone humble on the surface but educated enough to dismantle a Lord/Jedi verbally if pushed. It was hit or miss in the beginning lol. He was only fifteen during the RNR days, so that phase lasted just a few months before shifting into a more Rhaegar coded vibe(vaguely) during the Korriban storyline.
Lately, what keeps me writing him now is exploring the fallout of his decision to fully commit to the Dark, or how far he’s willing to go for family, what lines he’ll cross, and whatever layers show up the deeper he goes. The descent kind of has a momentum of its own so following where it leads keeps things pretty interesting.
