Can't stay away Long

He had felt pain before, and he desperately hoped that this would be different. He wanted nothing more than to have a family, someone that loved him like he loved them, someone to hold and protect, to care for and provide for. But he knew he could have all those things with Faith and she would never be only his. She would always belong, at least in part, to her people. It wasn't something he felt detracted from her beauty, but added to it. There were hundreds of physically beautiful women that would have been perfectly happy bearing his children and hiding on the outer rim with everything they ever wanted brought to them. That appealed to him some, but not truly. He didn't want to own someone like that. Take away their individuality. He had always felt drawn to powerful women that wouldn't be buried beneath his protectiveness and possessiveness.

He knew, even as he sat kissing her and playing with her in this lake house, that Faith would always be Faith, and that if he couldn't add to her rather than detract, he didn't deserve her. The thoughts in Draco's mind were odd, conflicted. He offered the only thing he could without taking her from her people, to be her constant place of refuge, the one person she could always turn to. And she gave him the same and more, more than she realized. It would be hard for him to be away from her, but he would have the memories of their time together to keep him company, and he would have their next retreat to look forward to. They could make this work, the Sith Lord and the Princess of Alderaan.

Draco smiled at her when she swatted at his hands playfully. "I'm not trying to be helpful." He wasn't, he was just trying to be near her, to show Faith his softer side, the one he reserved for her and her only. When she finished ordering food, he sat, kissing her bare shoulder for a moment, aligning his thoughts before he spoke again, still holding her against him. "Faith, I have something to ask." He wasn't somber, he was anxious for her answer, "How do you see me fitting into your life? I won't be a secret forever, no matter how hard we try, and I don't want to die your dark secret you can't tell anyone about. I will see to it I will become something you can love openly, but even then, I will be a warrior, a hunter. I'm never going to be a karyai'riduur, just some prince to sit at court." His warmth breath, exhaled through his nose caressed her shoulder as he nuzzled against her neck. He could give her love and affection, comfort when she would let him, but what did she need from him.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

She half turned to where she could look at him, "I had not thought that far ahead in honesty. How can you fit into my life, a life that requires I fulfill duties where I am not free to live as I would choose."

These were questions that needed to be asked, "Not dusr'riduur?" She asked back trying to also make light of serious conversation.

"Someone who stands by me must understand that I am not his alone, that he has to share me with an entire planet, as well as a High Council. that a life with me is not one where we can sit on the front porch and watch the children play. A life with me could be lonely, following me around to different conferences business deals, social events, all too garner good will, and prosperity." She sighed perhaps. No she wouldn't put that on herself.

"If you are to be the man who stands by my side, the role you have I suggest that you must carve out. Show those around me that you are staying, that you want to help Alderaan, help Aldera. Be more than dusr'riduur be Akaan Kalyr. As much as we can be the center of the universe for one another, it is most certain that those around us will expect much more of someone that stands at my side. When you show them that, you're role becomes more than riduur it becomes Noainr of Alderaan and Noainr Riduur of Aldera." She tried to smile at him.

"What do you want to be? What do you see yourself as?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco chuckled when she joked with him, that was a good sign. He knew that meant she wanted to make him feel comfortable, and that meant she wanted him to be something more than a plaything in her life. "I know I have to share you with Alderaan and Aldera. They are your people, just like my clan is my people. I can't abandon them, but my clan has a sense of autonomy that allows for me to step back a lot, but not always." He smiled at her, kissing her cheek gingerly, as though if he was too passionate right now she would be hurt by it.

She then said something that made him uncomfortable. He knew instantly she didn't mean anything by it, but it bothered him all the same. "I am not someone, Cyar'ika. I am the man by your side." He kissed her neck again, squeezing her a bit tighter, a bit more possessively. No, she was his and he was not easily replaceable. "I've never run from a challenge, and even though gala's and ballroom events aren't my comfort zone, I would be there by your side if you ask it of me. I can do more than hammer in forges and fight in battles." He grinned at her, resting his chin on her shoulder. Draco's mind wandered, what could he do for a peaceful planet like Aldera or Alderaan?

"What do you want to be? What do you see yourself as?"

"Yours." He spoke instinctively, without thought or hesitation, just an immediate answer. So immediate that he was forced to pause in order to collect his thoughts and arrange them properly to elaborate on the question. "But, you want to know what I want to be for Aldera and Alderaan. I won't be a member of the High Council, I've tried ruling like that, its not in me. I forge my own path, I always have. I can promise that Path begins and ends with you, and that when your people need a protector, a champion, a general, a bulwark to take shelter in, or a spear to drive into the hearts of your enemies, I will be that for you, for them. But when they do not require me, I will keep busy, one way or another." He let his voice slip back into a seductive tone at the end of his thoughts. He would be her husband, or he would be a father, or he would be a warrior during those times when her people didn't need him.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

She looked at him. "You are the man here. You are many things outside of this place." Even as he squeezed her tighter possession being his. He wanted nothing really more than being hers.

How she wished it could be so easy just go off forget duty commitment but she wouldn't be herself. Wouldn't have the sense of family or clan that she needed to be a princess of any world.

She knew he would be there she had a feeling that he would be pulled in more than he realized. She fretted that he may not be ready for such a job.

"Our food will be here soon. I should get dressed. You can. Well hang out. And stay hidden." She leaned over to kiss him. She was more fearful now than before. She knew she was not enough that he needed more. How long till he realized having a princess was one thing loving with one could be insane.

She put her arms around him if just for a moment.

She breathed in his warmth. Faith tried to push the fear the doubt from her mind. "I hope you like what I ordered"

She leaned back, "Draco my Dragon. We will have to come out soon. So that there are no lies. I'm not a fan of it. You sure you're ready?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Faith's warmth and kindness surged through Draco, even if she didn't realize it. No, he wasn't prepared to be a Prince of Alderaan or Aldera, but he would face those challenges like any other. Head on, and he would do what needed to be done for her and by extension, her people. She wouldn't be what he was falling so head over heels in love with, without what made her a Princess. Just as she had fallen for him as a Mandalorian warrior. He felt the twinge of fear in her and tilted his head with a smile, "My cyar'ika, there is nothing to fear. I love you as you are, responsibilities and all. There will be times when our responsibilities call us away, but I will be happy so long as we can always return to one another swiftly." Her kiss caused his blood to stir and his fires to rise once again. She couldn't realize how much she meant to him already, she was his last hope, and if this broke, there would be no coming back from that pit.

"Oh, I am easy to please my Princess, you won't be able to disappoint me. I can hide very well, or I could just erase their memory of us both, make them unable to remember anything about the people they delivered to." He smiled, it wasn't right or just, but the weak willed were easy, their minds a play thing to a Mentalist Specialist. He could do a lot of things, and would probably have to eventually to keep them secret while they had to be.

"Draco my Dragon. We will have to come out soon. So that there are no lies. I'm not a fan of it. You sure you're ready?"

"No, we aren't ready to do that. Not yet. The backlash you would suffer would be terrible. Soon, though my Love. As soon as my presence at your side wouldn't put black marks on your reputation. But I am ready to love you for all that you are." He smiled at her and this time he leaned over to the side, to lay on the bed holding her, kissing her neck, letting his tongue trace across her skin, letting his hands trace across her body, her bare back warm against his chest as he clung to her greedily, excitedly. He didn't want to let go, not yet. He wanted to keep her all to himself just a little longer.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

She pressed against him letting him do as he pleased each touch sent tremors through her. He did these things so well feather light a pool of warmth inside her began to heat.

"Mmmmm Draco the food will be here soon" She caught her breath, "you make me crazy with such kisses, "

She reach back and brushed her fingers against his skin.

She laid there enjoying the feel of his presence. She didn't know what was ahead. She wasn't gifted in far sight. But the here and now was warm, safe, snuggling her neck and doing his best to keep her in bed.

"Maybe we should stop worrying about how to fit together our lives everything. And just live. I can discuss doubt until I'm blue but really Draco I don't want to think on it anymore. We're just going to have to deal with it. "

Yes everything happened quickly and yes there'd be doubt if it would work but it just was stealing their time their joy and she didn't have so much free time that she wanted it littered with this.

"What do you thunk?"

Then there was a knock. Faith smiled. "Dinner. Lunch. You'll have to let go now. "

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco didn't want to, he was happy, he was excited. He enjoyed the feeling of her skin against him, being able to feel her heartbeat, her warmth flowing through him. Even through the Force he was at peace, hardly having a dark presence. "You make me crazy just being here." He teased, feeling the touch of her fingers against his skin with a sigh of relief. Neither of them really understood the trials and tribulations that would befall them in the future, how could they? Even with the use of the Force, the future was always changing, always cloudy and with doubt.

"It will linger in my mind some, especially when I worry over you." Draco kissed her neck again, "But they are all concerns we haven't encountered yet, and when we do, we will deal with it. All that matters is our love, the rest will come and go and be dealt with." He was at peace, as much as he worried, he never worried that he wouldn't be happy with her. Quite the opposite, he worried she wouldn't be happy with him, or she wouldn't like some of the changes he would have to go through to be what fit properly with her life. He also knew that their lives they had built for themselves would be very different from the life they would build together, and they would have to accept that.

Draco groaned, not truly upset, but reluctant, "Ugh, poor timing. Couldn't I have just twenty more minutes." He flashed her a grin as he let her go and stood up from the bed to find a shirt, perhaps some clean shorts different from the ones he had donned this morning before the day's activities.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"And just how much do you think you would accomplish in twenty minutes" she grinned as she slid from the bed gathering her bag to take out a long shirt, and shorts to wear. She shook her head watching him, he still had that predatory gait when he walked.

Course....he walked like he owned everything around him.

Shaking her head she pulled back her hair, "be good now Draco" Faith headed to the door looking back to make sure Draco was not in sight she took a breath and opened it. "Ahh, hi, you made good time. I'm starved."

Riley Thorn nodded to Faith, "Princess you know we try to bring you what you need quickly, most of it should still be hot."

Faith nodded, "Oh good you know I burn things" She smiled.

Riley nodded, "Yes Mam we still talk about the last unofficial BBQ held at the garden house."

Faith laughed, "Yes yes....here let me pay you, and then take that, and Riley thank you for bringing it ok..and you know the protocol tell no one where I am."

"Yes Stranger lady, I was never here"

Faith turned holding a box, she started back to the kitchen and began taking the dishes from the box, "It smells good..." she waited a bit longer to ensure Riley had gone, she looked to where Draco stood, "can you tell if he is outside still?"

She didn't always trust everyone no matter how well mannered.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

He grinned, letting the question go unanswered as they both hurriedly put some type of clothes on and she straightened herself enough to answer the door without looking out of place or in the wrong. No, he didn't trust this guy to keep his mouth shut, not enough. Years of working for Sith had taught Draco the woes of relationships like this, and he knew one could never be too careful with a secret like this. Draco closed his eyes as the door closed and the man began to walk away and touched his mind with the Force. He could have done a great deal of damage to the man, but his touch was gentle. A gentle blurring of her face, her voice, her name, everything he could find in the man's memory that lead to Faith. It was the safest way. If someone asked who he had just delivered to, he wouldn't be able to place it, he'd know he made the delivery, but he just wouldn't know who.

Draco could still sense him, but he was leaving and moving out away. That was the thing about the Force, it was one of the best sensors that existed. "Yes love," He whispered as he stepped towards her, "He's leaving already. On a speeder at the pace he's going." He smiled and took her back in his arms, holding her hips gently, planting his lips on hers as he looked down into her dark, big brown eyes. Draco needed her, needed her love. "So, what did you get us?" He asked with a smile, taking the box from her, and her hand in his spare, and walking them to the table with the window that looked out over the lake. Afternoon sun shone off water, the light shining off her face and in her eyes, and Draco couldn't remember a better day in all his life, and it wasn't over yet. He felt like he had not stopped smiling with her, and that was a good thing. They both deserved to be perpetually happy right now.

"Hmm, this looks good." He pointed at a pair of nerf steaks in a small container. She certainly knew how to spoil him given what all she had done for him today. Breakfast in his arms, the morning spent together, letting him show off his masseusse skills, the earlier afternoon spent together, and now dinner by the lake and she had included enough hearty foods for his tastes and some of what should be her favorites. He moved a chair back for her and held it for her to sit down, so he could sit beside her and remain in physical contact with her, the brief separation already longer than he wanted it to have been

“Well there is the meat which you have found very quickly” that told her one thing he was a meat eater first, “and there are greens, because I like them, there is a honey and cake made from Alderaan flowers that the restaurant has grown. And there are some oddities which I will leave for you to find and decide if you like.”

She began to sit down touching his hand to renew their need for contact, “There should be a bottle of Honey wine in the small cooler there” Faith pointed to a small door where bottles of wine were kept to keep them from going to vinegar.

Every day would not be like this day this was an exceptional day where they we lost within one another, and enjoyed the peacefulness that all too often was far too brief. She watched his every move though not for flaws but for memory. Just as he seemed to memorize her she memorized him. The way his eyes looked at her, the way the corners of his mouth curved upwards when he smiled, the sound of his voice out of breath, the way his fingers traveled against her skin, so many things to commit to memory that she would hold onto herself until their next time alone.

Who knew how long that would be?

She knew she had to do something soon though, for secrets had a terrible way of being leaked and often those who leaked them twisted the information into something horrid. She wouldn’t bring that kind of attention to her family, she couldn’t.

She knew she needed to talk to Jack about her position, the politics within the Republic, and what she could do from now on. If anything.
“The wine should be cold cyar’ika we just need glasses.” She felt the loneliness within, or was it regret. She didn’t know but she chased it quickly by opening the containers for the meal, and soon the smell of food began to fill the cabin.

“Oh yes,” she inhaled deeply, “This smells great”

She began to fix the plates, just out of habit so that everything was ready, perfect for presentation. She could do that...plate things.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled, popping a small morsel of food into his mouth and kissing her cheek affectionately. The way she felt the need to present the meal, even though it was just them, the cute crinkling of her nose as she observed the plates, preparing them for the meal. The way she subtly bit her bottom lip as his hand found her backside as he tried to help. The way her eyes squinted as she places food on plates. He wanted to take it all in, hold the memories close as they were forced to spend time apart.

She was his hope for the future, even if she didn't know it, these memories of her would keep him sane, let him charge through the darkest of times. "Well if you like it, I'm sure I will enjoy it as well, my princess." His voice was low and dripping with his affections. The plates were set, beautifully presented and plated.

The meal itself was delicious, cold honey wine in glasses chosen to compliment the nerf steaks, the oddities and sweets. Faith's taste in food was excellent, and she would find no complaints from him about this, but they might risk growing old and fat together unless they worked out and exercised the food off together.

"I think we should go for another swim tonight after a little while, help work off this food, and share each others company more." He flashed her a roguish grin, filled with intent and desire.

His hand gently rubbed her backside as he watched her eat delicately. "I don't know if I've said it cyar'ika, but I love you." His heart fluttered a bit with hope that she would respond in kind, confirmin more than just a physical need, but an emotional bond.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

He savored the meal and that gave her pleasure. She was full and agreed they would need to work this off it was a rich meal that could sit a minute on the lips and then forever on the hips.

Share each other's company. Umhmm she smiled a teasing little come get me grin, "you mean long walks outside right. Sharing my company" she leaned on the table putting her chin into her hand playfully batting her lashes.

But his tone was serious she reached over putting her hand over his heart the thumping there beneath her palm steady true continuous.

Everything about her softened, "Draco I love you ner runi. " Faith got up and nudged her way onto his lap, circling her arms around his neck. She smiled at him.

"Did you feel it on the ship. That instant pull that anxious feeling in the pit of your stomach as you inched across the love seat. Or when I kissed you. Or did you think that was all lust, hmm?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

His heart stopped when she batted her eyelashes at him, reminding him how much she meant to him, how attractive and seductive she could be to him. Her hand on his chest pressed her warm and love into him, and he believed her words, he had no reason not to. Everything in the Force, in her eyes, in her heart, in his heart, told him the words she spoke were true, just as his were. His heart started beating again, especially with her sitting in his lap, arms circling him, bright shining eyes staring deep into his soul with a warm, inviting smile.

"I felt it on the ship. You are beautiful beyond my ability to describe, but that wasn't all. There was something else that drew me to you." Her arms wrapped around him and his blood rushed throughout his body, adding a slight color to his cheeks, his hands holding her hips tightly against his own. "It was your empathy, your kind heart, your iron will. There are too many things about you to list what drew me to you. It was just..." He felt his heart racing, "It was just you. It was like a feeling I felt before, but stronger. And for the first time, I didn't feel alone anymore. And then we kissed, and I knew for certain."

He leaned forward, kissing her nose softly, "And since then, the time we have spent together, the love we have shared, the intimacy we've shared, emotionally and physically. Those feelings have only grown stronger. When I look in your eyes, I know we will be okay."

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

"Strength, I felt a gentle heart within the evil of Darth Vulkan, the talks. You wanted to listen, you wanted to do the right thing. and when you followed me, I can't explain it something inside said...he is more." She leaned forward her forehead resting against his, "then the ship, hearing you speak, my heart said leap, my soul whispered mine. I can't explain any of it, but I know what you make me feel. I want to cling to you for every moment and feel your arms wrapped tightly about me as you steal my breath away"

She kissed his cheek then kissed his eye lids again, "We will be ok Draco whatever lies ahead we will deal with." She closed her eyes and stayed there, she could feel his hands on her they were of one mind, one heart at this moment.

No more worries she thought can't keep ripping the hearts out, "So...do you want to go outside and walk?" She could see the heat in his cheeks even as she wiggled around again, "the sun is high in the sky there are sites to see that have come back slowly." She only wanted to be with him while she could.

Tomorrow she had to go back to being a diplomat.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

His heart and hers beat in rhythm, letting them sink into each other's soft embrace. They were still very new and very passionate. Young and eager, yet old and having been alone for so long, the both of them. Perhaps that compounded their feelings, but one thing was certain in Draco's mind. Faith was the last. Even if she left him, there wouldn't be another flame like the one she stirred in him, and that was a reassuring thought for him, even though it seemed like a depressing thought. There would never be another like her, and he hoped with all his heart there simply wouldn't be another.

Her lips gently caressed his cheek and eyes, subtle gestures of affections boiling out from her. She was right, she had saved him from himself, given him a reason to fight and struggle, and suffer each days disappointments, because she had reminded him that every disappointment could be overcome. "Hmm, I suppose I could keep my hands off you for a walk outside. I would like to see more of your home, learn more about you and your culture. There is a lot a Knight-Errant needs to know if he is to properly seduce and romance his princess. Her homeworld's rich history is one of those I'd imagine." She had given him that, albeit joking, title on their first private encounter, the time they had admitted feelings for one another. Despite the origins of the title being a joke, he had taken it to heart.

In literature, the Knight-Errant performed all his deeds in the name of the lady that held his heart, as he wandered to perform noble exploits to bring honor to her name and earn her affections, often facing horrific foes. It was fitting, as though he didn't act in her name, he acted in her interests, he had set out on a quest to face a horrible foe to earn her everlasting love. Draco was very much, literally her Knight-Errant, even if she hadn't know it would be that way when she had called him that.

He sported a devilish smile, his eyes telling his mood, "And when we get back I'll show you what I can accomplish in twenty minutes." She had to leave him on the morrow, and he would be making the most of the time they had together. Not just the need for physical contact, but also the great desire to simply be near her.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

It was nearly perfect this moment, this admission of emotions that she thought she would never have for anyone else.

“Yes a Knight-Errant is an important person in the pursuit of a Princess, so you should learn all you can about the Princess and her customs, or her world. This way, you know what pleases” She took her pointer finger and touched the tip of his nose.

“Twenty Minutes huh. Well, I’ll hold you to that” Faith gave him a quick kiss, “let’s clean up and go for the walk ok. Before I can be called Fluffy Faith.” She hesitated for a moment just enjoying the look on his face. The way he looked at her she was precious to him. It made her almost want to try that twenty minutes now, but she’d wait, good things came to those who waited.

“Alderaan has many beautiful places, the architecture was always meant to fade into the natural beauty. Like the cabin here is made of the same wood that surrounds us with the trees, it is heated and cooled by a geothermal system.” She just kept smiling so he’d know about what made Alderaan unique.

“We will follow the path away from the Lake there’s something I want to show you…so..let’s get with it, chop chop” She slid off his lap and began to clear the dishes away, looking over at him just to see him.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco's smile never faded, though her gentle kiss or the slight tap to his nose made him chuckle as she spoke and he listened. "Well, I won't promise there won't be anything that follows the twenty minutes," he let his voice drop to a whisper when he spoke, then back to a normal speaking voice as she pulled away. "I suppose my beautiful princess can't be protected by a fat dragon either." He said with a laugh, getting up as she separated from him, helping with the dishes some. Draco was more of a flirty nuisance however as he helped clear away dishes he swooped up behind her and pressed his body against hers as he reached for plates and dishes around her, kissing her cheek and ear playfully, letting his hips bump her backside gently, flashing her a mischievous, teasing grin before turning away to put the dishes in the sink for the droids to handle, along with those from breakfast.

He could have behaved better, but it wasn't his nature to be contained in a neat little box of emotions, feelings, and physical restrictions. It was in his nature to be possessive and protective of her, to tease her playfully and flirtaciously at times, to simply lie with her in his arms and he in hers. It was in his nature to be spontaneous as the mood struck him, to sometimes simply act and not worry about the consequences. He needed to curb that while they were in public together, at least for now, and so he let his spirit bubble out around her during their private time together. She might find that her Knight-Errant would be a rather disruptive Prince at court once they were able to be so public. As they finished cleaning up, he pulled off the simple shirt he had found and tossed it back into the bedroom. "The sun is out, it wouldn't hurt my shoulders to get some while we are out."

"So, you want to show me something? And then we can go for a swim?" He asked, remembering their last swim, how pleasant it was, and it would help with her worry about the both of them growing fluffy, not that something so minuscule bothered him. Draco found his way beside her, a fire in his eyes. He let his hands find her hips and his eye's met hers. "Alright, we should go now then, cyar'ika." He could behave, somewhat, for her.

[member="Faith Balor-Organa"]

“Fat Dragon, my butt.” She reached over under his shirt there wasn’t one thing fat about him and likely would never be so. With a tiny ‘woo’ escaping her lips turned away, I need a cold shower she thought to herself.

Someone most certainly had not taken a lot of time to look [member="Draco Vereen"] over without his armor because without…he was…all male…very male…the kind women dragged off for long weekends ah but now their loss she had dragged him off and now he was hers.

It took some will power to fight down the desire to drop everything and have her way with him right there in the kitchen but she controlled her animal instincts and playfully smacked at his hands, but reveled in his kisses while they cleaned up.

When they were near ready to begin their walk he whipped off his shirt, “OHhhh Draco that is so cheating. “ How was she to keep her mind on showing him around when he was tempting her in this...way. Ahhh FETH

“Show you something, ohhh I want to show you something...umhmm” She looked him over, “YES” Oh she just had to get hold of herself, “Let’s go, and a swim later…yes..sounds good”

She headed out the door maybe a bit too quickly for much longer and yeah they wouldn’t make it out of the house today. She stopped and waited for him to be by her side. Bare chested, dark hair…yeah it was lusty but damn.

“Ok...so you found the local flowers of Alderaan did you notice that the cabin seems to fit into the natural setting of the lake?” She was walking him on the opposite side of the Lake down towards the other path. “Alderaan is so beautiful Draco, there may be other places in the galaxy like it, but they are not exactly it.”

She reached over for his hand as the sun filtered down, and the cool clean air filled their lungs. “I always wanted to raise my family here. So they could see the beauty, and art of Alderaan and forget the ravages of war that plagues the galaxy seemingly at every turn”

She knew Draco was a warrior and that war was his business but even Draco had to know there had to be some peace sometime.

Draco let his fingers interlock with hers, the subtle feelings they both let seep out into the Force was calm, peaceful, affectionate... love. Having both suffered similar pasts, they were cut from the same cloth, but they made very different things. In many ways, she was stronger than him. She had suffered the loss of her family, and she had not let it drag her into the deep dark pit of despair and loneliness and evil. She had persevered, whereas he had given up control of himself to a terrible, unfeeling alter ego. She also had a much strong hold on her desires than he, for certainly where the tables turned he would not have been able to keep his hands to himself.

He smiled wryly, looking down his nose at her playfully. "I wouldn't be upset if you even the playing field." He said with a laugh, simply enjoying her presence on this peaceful world. Every warrior was like a piece of steel, and war was the forge, anvil, and hammer, every battle a stroke against the steel. If you hammered it too long and too thoroughly with out tempering it and letting it rest, it grew weak from stresses, until it eventually broke. So places like this tempered him, they did not make him weak unless he simply never left, never returned to the fire. "When I have imagined myself happy it has always been in a place like this, with a few children running around. Beautiful wife trying to balance wife, mother, and her duties while I balance husband, father, and warrior." Draco had left their roles in that order, the order of importance to him.

The lake shimmered in the evening sun, radiating its light against her skin, sparkling in her eyes, shining against her dark brunette hair. Yes, places like this with her he could appreciate. Yearn for even. The beauty of the flowers in the field they were surrounded in the world's natural beauty, personified in Faith. As he thought about it, Faith did personify many, if not all, of the beauties and traits of Alderaan, both within and without. Draco inhaled deeply and slowed his breathing, trying to let his heart stop beating so rapidly. He couldn't help that he was smitten, every pulse a reminder that Draco was wrapped firmly around her finger. "Ner runi, this place is lovely. I, I had no idea it was like this when I found it. I was so worried you wouldn't come, or you would leave when you heard my woes, I didn't take the time to take it in." The gentle lapping of small waves against the shore brought back fond memories as they walked a winding path through temperate trees near the lake, the sound of running water nearby. "And I'm glad. Glad that my only memories of this place are happy, and with you in my arms and in my heart."

His weekend with faith was drawing to a close, with only one more night to spend with her until they could next pull away from their duties and find each other again. He made the mental note that tonight would be special, somehow more so than the last.

"Of course you wouldn't be upset, I have ..." she thought a moment, "more to show" She laughed yeah her chest was bigger than his.

Listening to him list off the responsibilities of a wife she realized he was telling her what as important to him. His wife would be a wife first, a mother second, and then a politician. That was what was important to him he saw his own roles mirroring that of his wife.

Discussions for another time perhaps, she focused on him and their surroundings, "If you think is beautiful I think you will really like what I have to show you" She turned them down another path away from the lake, slowly it descended leading them downwards.

Above them the leaves on the trees were gently rustled by a soft breeze, there was a smell of water on the air.

"You worried I wouldn't come?" She looked back at him, "thought I was leading you on did you? That all I wanted was a kiss from Draco the Dragon?" Her voice was filled with a teasing tone, he'd have to get use to that if he was going to be around her.

Walking through the forest there was always a smell of the earth, plants, and clean air that Faith loved. She felt free out here away from duties. She doubted she could ever explain to Draco what he had done for her, rescuing her from a life of loneliness, and duty. His unexpected appearance, and acceptance of her direct affections had changed her path.

Course she could see she had an effect on him, her gaze couldn't help but sweep over his chest, the tattoos, and the scars. She felt sadness at what he had endured she remembered what he said he offered so much and asked for so little in return. Yes she really did love him she hurt because he had been hurt. She longed for him because she missed his embrace. She wanted to show him the world.

The sound of water carried towards them, "Do you hear that?
