Developed as part of the products created for The Ancient Cycle, an expansion set for Age of Chaos that focuses on the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith, Butcher King's Legacy is a complete remaster and overhaul of the first pre-constructed deck developed by the company, Black Tyrant's Destruction. Once again focusing upon the notorious Dark Lord of the Sith known as Darth Carnifex and his vile cohort known as the Kainite, this deck is designed to showcase some of the Dark Lord's most infamous followers and family members wrapped into a Black/Red Sacrifice deck.
Many of the cards developed for the deck are brand new and exclusive to the deck product, however six cards contained within the deck were reprinted and remastered to the company's current design philosophy and style. Darth Carnifex himself has become an extremely powerful Planeswalker card, acting as the centerpiece of the deck, along with the other included Planeswalker in the deck that represents his infamous right-hand, Darth Prazutis.
