Private Burning anger in freezing weather [private]

Nox tossed the corpse in the snow outside of the office. The deal was brief, he got his credits, and let them deal with the body. The certainly had time now given the weather. His armor definitely gave him some protection but even with it he didn't feel like sticking it out in the snow. His ship was getting refueled for now. He stepped into their cantina and made his way to a wall before ordering a drink and small meal, he didn't need a corner, but if he took his helmet off he'd still need a proper view of everyone.

While he waited, he watched through his visor. All its sensory information it was providing him and potentially the holoweb should he deem it necessary. The arkanian wasn't always too fond of simply chatting it up with non-mandalorians. He wasn't the type to go around ridiculing them, but as far as he was concerned he saw no future in friendships or anything of the sort. And so it was rare that he would begin any kind of conversation when he traveled away from his kind.

Yet another one of Lukas' outings to try and find new planets of interest. This one had bought him to a snowy planet in the middle of, well, he wasn't entirely sure where. Snow was not something Lukas was used to, so the first few moments off the ship were quite unpleasant for the Acolyte, as he watched his breathe curl up into fog from beneath his mask. He'd landed close to a tavern luckily enough, so Lukas made a bee-line to the tavern to warm himself up, hugging his arms close to himself to keep himself warm.

"Damn." he muttered, his teeth chattering as he stepped into the tavern, stomping his boots onto the floor to drop the snow off from them. This planet seemed like a bust to him, he doubted he'd meet anyone interesting out in the snow, and he didn't think anyone with half a brain would willingly come to a planet like this. Although, he supposed he did learn something from this outing. He didn't like the snow.

The Acolyte lowered himself into a seat in a corner with a sigh, glancing around at those in the tavern, idly tapping his fingers across the table, failing to have any kind of rhythm. His gaze briefly lingered on the helmeted figure against the wall, a small frown appearing on his lips beneath the mask, before continuing to look around.

Kovhorn turned his eyes to see the new arrival. He quickly caught sight of the lightsabers and narrowed his eyes. Trouble, one way or another. Jedi, Sith, whatever any other group decided to call themselves. If it carried a lightsaber there was reason to pay attention. But there was a bigger reason to pay attention, it could be a sith. The thought of it burned, if it was sith, it needed to be a dead one. But he wasn't going to go out on a killing spree every time he saw someone wielding a lightsaber. It wouldn't surprise him if this was one. But if it wasn't he'd have wasted his time.

Nox stood up, he didn't reach for his weapon yet. He simply walked towards Lukas patiently. No faster than he'd walked into the bar. He stopped about four meters away, and spoke in as neutral a voice as possible. "Which kind are you?" with a slight tilt of his head towards the lightsabers. And then he would listen, though while he did, he was using his helmets connection to the net to try and find anything. Unfortunately, without a visible face, it was unlikely any results would turn up. If he had his ship there might be something, but he didn't. And since he hadn't been grouped with anyone this time, there was also no one to ask to do some extra digging.

So he just had to hope that if it was a sith, it wasn't going to be very good at hiding it.

Lukas narrowed his eyes as the man approached his table, one hand dropping down to rest on his lap. While not normally a particularly suspicious person, the Acolyte struggled to think of a reason why a helmeted man would approach him just for a chat, he was sure there were plenty more people present who'd make for better conversation, especially off of pure appearance.

"What kind am I?" He frowned beneath his mask, shifting around in his seat to face the man properly, glancing down towards the sabers after the man nodded. It seemed stupid to declare to the world that he was a Sith acolyte, or in any way affiliated with the Sith, but if the man asked to see his lightsabers then any claim of being a Jedi would fall apart instantly.

"Why does it matter? What are you with all that armour?" He sat upright slightly, preparing to get up if need be.

Evading the question. A concern, but not a confirmation. Mandalorians had been enemies of jedi and sith so regardless of what he was, there was reason to avoid it. He instead prompted a counter question, "Prepared for whichever it is."

He lightly placed his right hand against one of his sonic blasters, "It matters because one of them I'm after, and the other one I'd consider leaving alone. You should consider telling the truth. I'll find out regardless, it's only a matter of just how many extra tools to kill you I'll have."

He fully intended on following through with that threat. If the man happened to claim to be a jedi, and somehow managed to convince Kovhorn of that in the present. He'd still head to the docks to find out which one was his ship or what he traveled from, then begin the search from there. It was hardly a sure-fire way to discover it, but he was going to try.

For now though, he was going to watch and listen. People sometimes tried to get that first move when confronted. And he was waiting to see if he'd try it before finding out who Kovhorn was really after.
