STRENGTHS

• Small Sensor Profile: With reflec coated stygian-triprismatic armor, IR suppressors, sound baffling and an auditory dampener, the bike has a small sensor profile for something of its size, making it difficult to initially detect.
• Fast and Maneuverable: The Haran'calyr is very fast and has a high degree of maneuverability for a recon speeder, allowing it to potentially run from what it can't immediately deal with.
• Comprehensive Sensor, Communications and Targeting Suite: The Haran'calyr's sensor, scanner and comms suite enables it to perform its role of a reconnaissance speeder extremely well, allowing for extremely high resolution scans of the battlefield as well as the communications to be able
• Resilient: The bike is well protected against a large variety of threats.
• Well-armed: With a pair of Verpine Shatter Autocannons, a Verpine Shatter mortar, a minelayer and a pair of micro-ordnance launchers, the bike is recedingly better armed than its predecessor.

WEAKNESSES

• EMP/Ion: Powerful enough EMP/Ion weapons are capable of bypassing the vehicle's protection and overloading its systems. Usually this just requires a reset and a restart, but a powerful enough pulse can fry some of the on-board systems rendering the bike quite unusable.
• Mostly Exposed Pilot: The pilot is completely exposed from the rear and sides, even if they're afforded pretty good protection from the front.
• Small Sensor Profile?: The rider themselves can greatly affect the sensor profile of the bike. If their armor doesn't have any sensor dampening technology, then sensors looking for man sized targets and larger will be able to pick the bike and the rider up relatively easily. Though the electronic warfare systems on mitigate this.

Designed as a fast, maneuverable, well-armored, well-armed speeder with a comprehensive sensor suite and a powerful sensor jammer, the Haran'calyr fits the role of reconnaissance speeder almost perfectly. For this reason, it was adopted by Strill Securities almost immediately for use as one.Another reason the bike was popular was because of its small sensor profile, made possible because of its reflec coated stygian-triprismatic armor, IR suppressors, sound baffling and auditory dampener. Though the only issue with this was the rider themselves, though with appropriately equipped scouts, this tended not to be a problem.

Of course, there were a few notable issues with the bike. Powerful enough EMP/Ion weapons are capable of bypassing the vehicle's protection and overloading its systems. Usually this just requires a reset and a restart, but a powerful enough pulse can fry some of the on-board systems rendering the bike quite unusable. The pilot is completely exposed from the rear and sides, even if they're afforded pretty good protection from the front. There's a very good reason that it is called the 'Hell Beast'.
