SPECIAL FEATURES

• Functions:
  • EMP Emitter: The mine detector uses a narrow-band EMP emitter to attempt to neutralize mines and other similar devices it detects. This emitter is less useful against other targets due to a lack of a targeting system but can probably be used in a desperate situation as a weapon.
  • Deactivation Transmitter: The system broadcasts known deactivation codes based on its library of codes. This library can be updated with new codes either from the company's database with the right login credentials or via databard.
  • Retractable Modular Mine-clearing Drum: The system features a retractable mine-clearing drum that features a modular attachment method to enable it to be easily replaceable.
  • Ground-Penetrating Radar: The system features a ground-penetrating radar to better check for mines and buried explosives.
  • HUD/Display-linked Demolition Sensor: A HUD/main display-linked demolition sensor helps keep the crew aware of mines, explosives and the like as well as their triggers.

STRENGTHS

• Mines? IEDs?: Mines, IEDs and the like become considerably less of threat to the mounting platform and its crew thanks to their early detection and possible but likely neutralization by the system.

WEAKNESSES

• Stealth: The system has no method of detecting miners or other explosives using dedicated stealth technology to conceal themselves.

DESCRIPTION

Strill Securities are no strangers to dealing with insurgents and other irregular forces that make heavy use of improvised explosive devices and mines as a force multiplier. As such, they quickly sought a more advanced solution than that already available to their vehicles from the factory. As such, the 'Akk Dog' system was developed by the company to lower vehicle losses during counter-insurgency campaigns and the like. The system was quickly fitted to new vehicles and retrofitted to older ones.
