CEO of Breshig War Forge Consolidated
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a miniaturized version of the Argu'a Isotope-5 reactor for use with personal armor systems, droids for Breshig War Forge Consolidated, Mandalorians and select others.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: 'Argu'a' Isotope-5 Reactor
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Advanced Power Management: The Argu'a'ika's possess advanced power management systems powered by a heuristically processing droid brain which allows for advanced power management. The system will monitor power consumption and can divert power either from or simply to certain systems.
  • Advanced Diagnostics Suite: The Argu'a'ika's droid brain is fully capable of diagnosing any and all issues with the reactor, making maintenance far easier. While it is possible that it might make a misdiagnosis, the system will learn from its mistakes thanks to its heuristic droid brain.
  • Emergency Shutdown: Should the reactor be close to overload or meltdown, the management system is designed to shut it down.
STRENGTHS
  • High Power Generation: Isotope-5 reactors can generate immense amounts of power, allowing for the use of extremely power hungry systems, or the diversion of the extra power to boost other systems.
  • Extremely Efficient: Isotope-5 can be used to generate power with minimal fuel given the material's predictable distortion of gravity and electromagnetic fields.
  • Stable: Stabilized Isotope-5 is just that, stable. This makes the reactor far less susceptible to overloads and meltdowns, and means that the spare fuel isn't essentially bomb waiting to go off.
  • Ion/EMP Resistant: Aside from the properties of Isotope-5, the Argu'a'ika is very well protected against EMP/Ion damage, thanks to the agrinium mesh, reinforced duraplast plating and combat de-ionizers.
WEAKNESSES
  • Isotope-5: Isotope-5 is a rare material, and while extremely efficient, it's unlikely that one would find Isotope-5 at the neighbourhood friendly shadowport.
  • Breach: Should the reactor's casing be breached, it will leak deadly radiation and will experience severe power fluctuations.
  • Devastating Overload: Should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion would be nothing short of devastating, completely and utterly annihilating whatever p it's mounted on.
  • Expert Maintenance: Isotope-5 reactors have more in common with hypermatter annihilation reactors than they do with ionization reactors found on most starfighters, as such, the technician maintaining this reactor must be familiar with its maintenance process lest they do more harm than good. The difficulty of maintenance is compounded by the reactor's far smaller scale. This is not something troops in the field will be able to fix.
DESCRIPTION
Shortly after the success of the Ori'argu'a, the R&D team behind was put back to work on miniaturizing the Argu'a they'd just scaled up for use on capital ships. The objective was to create a powerful power supply which could be used to power the next steps in personal armor and droids the company was looking into producing. Of course, scaling a technology down wasn't as easy as scaling it up, and as such it took the team a while before they developed something that could be used. The first project that the Mishir Verd-class Battle Droid, where the powerful reactor powered the droid's integrated shields and weapons without any noticeable strain.

Like its bigger brother, the Argu'a'ika can generate immense amounts of power, making the use of personal shield generators and other energy hungry systems a far more practical prospect, all the while being extremely efficient about its use of Isotope-5 fuel. Additionally, the stabilized Isotope-5 the reactor uses is extremely stable, allowing for it to be safely used by infantry soldiers. Of course, aware of the prevalence of Ion/EMP weapons, Breshig War Forge was sure to ensure that the reactor was as protected from these threats as the larger Argu'a it was based on.

Of course, Isotope-5 isn't the most plentiful fuel source, and should the reactor's casing be breached, the resulting radiation leak would be quite deadly to those not protected. Should the reactor actually overload, the resulting explosion would no doubt annihilate whatever it was mounted on. Additionally, the Argu'a'ika is an extremely complicated reactor that can only be repaired and maintained by those with special knowledge and the right set of tools, definitely not the task for a soldier in the field.
