When it became morning, he slipped out of his dormitory into the hall. He hoped beyond hope that Miona was having better luck. He didn't dare disturb her. Even if she was awake, she was most likely trying her best to rejuvenate herself in other ways. By meditating. By reading. By mending her training tunic. Anything to keep her mind away from the reality of Master Farr's fall for the last few hours until dawn.
Rix paced the halls, cutting random paths through the Sanctuary for an hour or so. His mind was even more restless than his legs.
Walking eventually delivered him through the fog of emotions clouding his thinking. His disquiet was calm but not tranquil; instead, overwhelmed and suppressed by its heaviness.
