Invasion Battle of O'reen (Invasion Rep vs. Fringe)

Antares just stepped backwards from the growing cloud that came from the grenade. He didn't know what it was, but whenever an enemy threw grenades the results weren't usually that good for the intended victims. But it seemed the HRD had thrown it short, for it was only in between the both of them. No Force was needed to simply outsmart this silly droid.

And when he backed off from the smoke he turned sideways at the droid's last known location so he would provide a smaller target, and pointed his lightsaber towards the smoke. He wasn't going to be outsmarted by something that was created by sentients. Even if it was meant to kill sentients.

Between Bridges
@[member="Saki"]
Lucien watched as his saber was flung from a bridge he would send someone to collect it whilst he was resting. He nodded "With pleasure" He said. He was not in any position to duel, but he did have an option in the form of the Gun he discarded at the start. He could not duel this barbaric style he could Shoot it though. Lucien didn't want to die he would therefore need help. "I need help" He said mentally to any ally nearby, he could only hope they would get here soon.

As the battle between the Galactic Republic and the Fringe Confederation was taking place on a series of bridges that were exposed to the sky, the sun, and all in-between, there would not be a sufficient sum of "shadows" for an individual to hide behind. As such, whilst his attention was still forward, the Jedi Master noticed the approach of an enemy from the Fringe lines; and paid particular attention to the fact that she was taking aim in their direction with two particularly nasty-looking rifles. Being the definition of an apex telekinetic, Josiah was able to reach out with the Force at an immense speed in order to counteract the grenades and shells that were being launched by the feminine abomination. His telekinetic wall of Force impacted the ordnance approximately one-third of the way into its trajectory and, much to his immense surprise, resulted in a series of instant detonations.

'What the?' thought the Jedi as he made notice of the Forcebreaker gas that erupted in the wake of his telekinetic defense; which he maintained for a few seconds. The smoke, prematurely released, fell upon the Fringe lines that the abomination stood closest to; in addition to the lethality zone of the explosive shells. Thinking quickly, the Jedi extended both hands out before him and placed the majority of his focus on the task at hand. He had become rather adept at the formation of such defensive measures before; and against such ordnance both he, and the Grandmaster, could benefit immensely from them. As such, born of the force was a semi-visible hemisphere known as a Protection Bubble, which acted as a steadfast barrier between the Fringeman, the abomination, and the enemy lines.

Such, a stray blaster bolt here and there got threw before he was able to get the barrier up entirely, but no harm no foul. To say the least, Josiah had found his first "opponent" and began formulating a plan to be rid of her and her shiny toy guns.

And as a glorious sidenote, the magic of radar scanners allowed the Hornet Airspeeder to clearly see the incoming missiles. They were fast, but their course was relatively linear. Its blaster cannons erupted to life, managing to graze one of the missiles before they could get within impact range. The resulting explosion was enough to set off a chain reaction, which caused the simultaneous decimation of the remainder of the missiles. Sure, the airspeeder's lifespan was probably going to come to a swift and abrupt end on this field of battle, but at the very least it had bought itself a few more seconds of air time. As such, it re-adjusted its heading, dipping a little bit lower so that it might strafe the Fringe lines with its cannons.

Selena supposed that it made sense for pillars to exist on a bridge for decorative effect. She honestly had not really paid them much attention aside from the few soldiers which occasionally hid behind them for cover. When Penumbra executed his leap, she followed him through the Force. Feeling the flow around him as he enhanced his movements for explosive effect. Explosive effect, this was when she noticed the objects moving through the air. The grenade was a different kind of problem for her really, regardless of its intended use to explode upon contact with anything include a force push. See, Selena could not Force Push, so that option was not one she had. So it was the immediate explosiveness of it that would be the problem.

That is, until Josiah executed his Force push. The granade exploded well outside of an area for her to worry about, but Selena was already shifting her body while Penumbra was still in the air. She jumped back and to the side, putting Penumbra between her and Moira. Simple enough, but why had she jumped backwards, in order to put her out of range of the Sith's amphistall slash. Instead, as she herself was moving back she initiated her lightsaber's duel-phase adjuster and it extended to double the length of its original form, while also turning into a purplish color. In effect, her move both kept her out of range of Penumbra, put him in the direct path of the few bolts that got through Josiah's barrier, while also attacking Penumbra with a horizontal slash meant to travel over his vertical one the moment he landed.

He could feel it there right beneath the skin as his opponents emotions ate at him, it would have been an easy open for Sargon to take, but he wouldn't. To choose the light or the darkness was among the most important choices for a practitioner of the Force to make, and he would not play with the man's mind. Instead even as he came at him with a stab the Zabrak breathed out and pushed into the blow with the full weight of his heavy armor, and thick phrik shield. It was a massive shove, but without the blade work, his mind though was focused on other things as he focused on the jedi's mind and sent him waves of calmness. Focus on the Force, and nothing else, all the doubts and emotions let them flow away like leaves on the wind. Feel the calmness of the Force, let it flow through you and guide you to your destiny. It simply was not in the Zabrak to break a man's spirit, he fought to defend the lives and ideals of the Fringe Confederacy, not to destroy the Jedi, or the Republic.

@Moira Skadi @[member="Penumbra"] @[member="Selena Halcyon"] @[member="Josiah Denko"]

Mikhail Shorn leaped off of his speeder bike and watched it hurtle off the edge of the plateau. Gritting his teeth, the Thronebreaker got to his feet. Clad head-to-toe in dented and scarred Hydra armor, he did not appear to be a Sith Lord. But appearances, in Mikhail's case, were always deceiving. He discerned the situation with a quick glance of the battlefield. Ironically enough, a skill he learned in the Republic Army. Before the Senate screwed him and his soldiers over. Before the Sith found him. Sometimes he wondered what would have happened if he had stayed in the Republic Army. Watching the chaos on the plateau, he realized... he would still have been a monster. Whether a creation of the Republic's 'good' intentions or a purposefully maligned twisting of the Sith, he seemed destined by fate to play this role. And sometimes... like now... sometimes he enjoyed it.

Reaching out in the Force, Mikhail crushed down on the fuel cells of Denko's autopiloted vessel. Hopefully that would destroy the airship and cause enough of a distraction to get the Jedi Master coming his way. Shorn waved a hand, signaling Moira's forces away.

"He's mine."

Mikhail drew out his beskar dagger and held it in his cybernetic right hand, then he extended his left toward Denko in a ruthlessly efficient Force Choke.

As Andreas soared the sky, overseeing the ensuing battle, a voice beckoned to him in his head. Trained extensively in teras kasi, force users were usually blocked from entering his head via the force, but Andreas has allowed certain force signatures to pass by this mental block. One in particular being a certain ex-teacher named Lucien Cordel. He requested help in his usual composed demeanor that was not rare for a high-classer like him to maintain. Past quarrels and death threats aside, in this invasion, Lucien was not an enemy, but a fellow soldier who required backup. Fortunately, he was not far from his position and could actually look down and see Lucien and his opposing combatant clearly.
With the grace of an angel, the mercenary folded his wings, coming in on the two at a 500mph dive to land beside Lucien and at the very moment his feet touched the ground, blast Saki away with a force push meant to distance her a bit while Andreas took his darksaber from it's sheath and passed it to Lucien. His wings disappeared behind his armor as they folded, leaving no trace they were there in the first place.
"Another amateur below my pay grade?"
Andreas said as he regarded the female jedi standing before him. Predatory yellow eyes honed in on Saki from behind his mask as he pulled an electro-staff from his back, the polearm jutting out to full size before the ends started to crackle with deadly electricity. He waited for his opponent's next move. He spoke to Lucien telepathicaly.
Cordel, hold off on that shot. Wait until you see an opening to shoot"

Moira was quite familiar with 'apex telekineticists'. Until quite recently she had served under Kerrigan. Much as she thought the 'battering ram' was terribly overrated, she had to give her credit for destructiveness. Like when she had played a big role in throwing CIS Lucrehulks bound to kill everyone on Atrisia by smashing onto the planet, so that they instead hit the mountains. As for impenetrable walls of force protection, that was not unfamiliar to her either, given that a Jedi Master she had faced on Manaan along with some Sith allies had used the same technique.

As for the grenade she had used, while forcebreakers were doubtless very useful, it had been a frag one. Intended to blow opponents up. She had also not used blasters at all, merely her two mark one bolters. Spewing out beautiful explosive death. Moira was not a flying force god like that annoying Kerrigan woman, who one day would be processed, but she was very, very fast and so she sprinted as it seemed the air speeder would strafe the Fringe lines, leaping over a pillar that had been blasted and smashed into the ground by the detonation of the bolter rounds, racing after the Grand Master as she leapt. Shrapnel from the explodes bolts struck her in places, burning, but she pressed on. Moira had to give the Jedi credit with her move, that is if she was inclined to give anyone credit for something. From above aid came in form of an organic in scarred and dented Hydra armour, unleashing his telekinetic prowess upon the autopiloted vessel, though Moira obviously would not be able to sense the use of the powers, only see the effects. Hopefully those would put the annoying Hornet out of commission.

She heard his signal and acknowledged wordlessly. She was fine with him crushing the Templar - or Jedi Master now it seemed, not that she cared much. Already on the move she bounded after the Jedi Grand Master, leaving Penumbra behind her as she came in from the flank, eye never leaving the Jedi. With her bolters slung over again she retrieved her Gorgon web rifle, a beautiful 'toy gun' made by the master alchemist Valik, which had likewise found its way into her hands due to the Styx raid, taking aim and hurling Stokhli Spray at the woman. As an electrically charged fluid with enough power to knock down a gundark and endowed with sufficient width, stickiness and consistent spray that slashing through it with a lightsabre was rather useless, it had utility when it came to taking down Jedi.

Talons blade was met by the Zabrak's shield and repelled with a massive shove which sent his blade out to the side. Talon used the momentum to spin and grab his blade with his other hand and tried to strike the Zabrak's sword.

He felt the Zabrak speak to his mind and Talon obeyed the wise instructions.

'Thank you, Master' he thought back. 'May we continue this exercise?'

Thats what it was now. Talon, was no match for the master in physical strength and he could not walk away from the chance to learn.

Since the arrow is physically in the landscape, and as Iella is connected through the force, she sensed it as it turned back toward her. She is not concerned by it hitting her, the arrow now with a loss of momentum from the vortex, and coupled with her Gungnir amour which can withstand the blade of a saber, the arrow would not pierce it. The charges in them however a different story. The armour would protect her body, but the blasters would cause effect.

Iella easy dealt with the one arrow, her saber swinging in an upward strike to sever if not deflect it.

Iella also knew that as good as his 'intentions' where, the one he was trying to help the woman, she too would also be effected as she is close by Iella, only a few meters away. She can see her now, as she no longer is within her illusions. The force telling several arrows are coming in fast toward her and the woman. "Jump!"", Iella screamed to the woman. Iella pumped the force to her legs and Jedi Jumped high into the air, the arrows shooting past underneath her.

With a simple nod to one of the surrounding legionnaire's the Zabrak removed his helmet and handed over it to the waiting Optio with his sword and shield. Unarmed completely now the Zabrak sat cross legged on the battlefield like he was on his favorite field on Bakura. Closing his eyes Sargon focused on the Force his awareness stretching out through it as his mind expanded on the currents of the Force to the life around him.

"Join me, you will come to no harm here, let us meditate on the Force together, and find the truth of your soul. I will not speak of Jedi teachings, nor of Sith, but of my own experiences. For most of my training I was master less, and learned what I could through meditating on the Force and it's will. Close your eyes and quiet your mind, allow the Force to reveal itself to you. The Sith use the Force as a tool, but as you may know passion becomes an addiction and it's a fine line to walk before it controls you. The light side of the Force is not simply the absence of passion, but in truth the absence of the need to control it. The Force works through a Jedi, it is as much a part of him as the heart that beats in his chest. The simplest lesson of this is what Jedi Master Wraith called 'emptying the cup'. Imagine yourself as the cup, your emotions fill you and lead you in their own way, but to feel the Force and let it guide you, you must be filled with it. As a man cannot be filled with two things, you must empty your mind and conciseness of these doubts, fears and other emotions. Take a long breath in, focus on the action itself, and then breath it out slowly, as you do let your thoughts empty with it. Clear your mind of those things that will distract you, and focus solely on the Force, not seeking to control, but as one would the company of a dear friend. Once your cup is empty the Force will fill you with it's presence, and then you can truly meditate on it, and your place with it in the galaxy."

Somewhere, hopefully someone is there too and can fight me...
Eldoc sighed, another attempt, it seemed they never got tired of fighting the fringe, so here he was, fighting for his friend and empress, Ashen, He sighed, twirling his light saber blade, waiting for someone worth his time. He leaned against the wall, twirling with one hand and an flask full of whiskey in the other. He smirked as he took a swig and watched the lights. It was always fun to have a good fight, but well after the last one where no one worth his time came, he hoped this invasion brought someone somewhere to his attention. He smirked as he leaned there taking another swig, watching for anyone who actually tried to fight him.

Sopher nodded and patted his stomach as well. He wasn’t fat, no he was nowhere near it, but to make Avalore feel better her pushed his stomach out so he looked like he had a little pot belly. A sheepish grin spread across his face at her remarks. Despite the boy’s original’s ability to read emotions – Sopher was nowhere near able to read people….

At all.

Still, Sopher was in good company till Avalore brought up his master. This brought a frown on the boy’s face, his hands rested on his hips and dug into the fabric of his clothing. He was frustrated and slightly irritated at the fact that he was ordered to come guard the medical tents. Nothing was going to happen here, he would rather be on the front lines with his master, like on Nar Shaddaa. His anger started to rise and then he remembered the breathing techniques. The force around him calmed and he forced a smile.

“Avy, Master Moridena asked Master Apparine if I could help keep an eye on things here especially you.”

The boy puffed is chest out a bit and flicked the blonde bangs from his face, then flashed his most brilliant smile towards Avalore.

“You know to protect you, you can just say I’m like a knight in shining armor and stuff.”

The best guard in all of the Order of course missed the little Dathomiran witch who just climbed over a wall. I see you Rave yusosneak?

She moved after the fringe master spoke and she was about to go on. The movements coming to walk away and engage another until the force chimed in. Basic pre-cog was a talent all force users had it helped make them seem to have such high reflexes. Her body moved jumping to the side and twisting as she reached out. With the force toward the discarded blaster. The master had thrown it aside and without a look on her face the Hapen pulled it toward her hands while landing. Letting a smirk while she held it, some training from the republic military show on firearms safety. The need to draw her saber not there as this wasn't a problem she could handle. One damaged master and another in armor. "Interesting." All she needed to say as the gun was held up and pointed at the pair. Her eyes flicking between them with a smirk. "So who wants to dance?"

Kiyala watched impassioned as the arrows arced towards Iellla, Kiyala being several meters apart from her would be easily out of range of the skilled @[member="Hood"] attack. Kiyala took the time to fully breathe in the power of the battle meditation from. . her former master; this new development was very important. Kiyala's mind snapped back to the battle at hand remembering to never doubt a foe, despite the fact Kiyala had gotten her to waste some energy while she's gaining a boost in power didn't mean the battle was won. Kiyala's heels dug into the ground as Kiyala poured the fresh fuel into her veins fueling her muscles and reaction time through the force bolstering her speed by coupling it with the force power Inertia to speed forward in blinding speed.

"Come here Jedi." Kiyala spoke through her Rancor Mark 2 armor as she throws two Eater grenades one aimed where Iella was standing and one for slightly above her. Knowing more likely she'd either jump or try to evade the grenade the one aimed above was thrown last so it would come as soon as she leaped. Kiyala made sure to keep her control on the grenade's path in case she decided to repel them back. As she quickly closed the gap between the her and Iella Kiyala let out a warcry of anger.

Pivoting to the left of her at the last second as she approached she spin her right saber back and stabbed diagonally down towards her torso section and brought her left saber down in the same direction towards shoulder blades.

Basaba moved from Rasu, she had the situation with the others handled and stopped on the bridge as she looked on. A grenade in her hand and as she tossed it and let the forcebreaker spray out. She wanted to see what he could do while moving down the bridge and taking aim. Her shoulder cannon coming up ready to fire before taking one of the beskar knives out. Her smirk remained before the charge up then it fired sending a shot towards the fringer while she worked to close the distance.

Ending the dive in a somersault, the giant was back on his feet near instantly. Shifting his gaze to the newcomer he growled and hurled a ball of kinetic energy - thanks to super speeding molecules in a condensed area - at the woman, "I did not ask for help-"

Leaping forward swiftly, the Lord performed multiple lunges at the Grand Masters mid section. All the while applying concentration about the two of them. Soon enough the darkside energies he had channeled began to manifest, in form of Waves of Darkness as well as minor photo-kinetic manipulations - removing light to create a massive encasing ball of darkness. When first used, so long ago, he had dubbed the attack his Darkside Arena. Usually only a few feet across and utterly light free, it was a perfect domain for one such as Zaiden. But he had been rushed, unable to gather the true jaw dropping amount he had wished. For surrounding them now was a circular cocoon that stretched roughly ten feet across and twelve high.

Could the Grand Master see where no light existed?

Zaiden could. Being half miraluka, the Dark Master did not need to rely on his eyes. Continuing his assault with brutal speed and ferocious strength, he bashed at the woman's defenses. Few human men could sustain repeated blows from concrete shattering strength, what hope could a petite woman?

Somebody call me a cotton-headed ninny muggings who has never tried a fried, sweet pickle...

Even as the suddenly appearing flying woman caught herself the falling enemy, Kitt managed to break free from her momentary awe to swing a very illegal modified, czerka riot gun into her free hand. Sprinting so she was standing with her back to the dragon, she fired the gigantic stun rings toward the downed, pair.

Whether they hit or not, she imagined the pair had some serious recovery to do after that crash landing and save. If the stun rings did hit, they would probably be taken to a Fringe prison to be chopped up into Faenrovon's next meal. But more likely, they would be enlisted as servitude for @[member="Lucien Cordel"]'s silver polishing group.

Holstering the weapon, she went back to the dragon's side and gingerly climbed onto the saddle, clucking her tongue at his wounds. Hand rested gently on his scaly-hide, wondering if he could even feel her touch. "Are you ready to go again, my friend?"

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE WE ARE

IMPACT, IMPACT, OW OW OW. OW OW OW.
Doc slammed into the ground, but thanks to his armor, he wasn't too much hurt. The impact-absorbing qualities of his armor made it particularly not that painful but still pretty kinetically painful. Not a pleasant feeling.

Doc rolled along the ground, after Steph dropped him. Thanks babe. He did, finally, believe in angels. He slammed into the ground, near a pile of dead Republic soldiers. The stun rings slammed overhead and into the bodies of the mixed forces, missing them. Doc rolled over, letting the last stun ring fall overhead of him.One of them happened to be carrying the Republic's newest anti-infantry-anti-tank-buster, the SDW-9000. Doc picked it up, and then turned to the woman.

He dropped it for the time being, and put up his hands again. He snarled in response, and hoped that Steph would be more than able to handle a flying dragon. After all, she was as tough as nails and drugged up behind all belief, so anything was possible. Doc stared at Kitt, and then twirled his trench knife. He stared at her for a while, before bringing his knuckle-duster adorned fist and knife back up to his face, holding it at the combat stance.

He broke into a charge, and then went to horizontally slash her across the face, and went to start the fight. Doc moved fast, very fast, like all Havoc squad did. Havoc squads were worth an entire platoon in combat ability, and it showed in Doc's impressive hand-to-hand skills.
