It was no surprised that the minister was very confused by all there reactions, the prospect of a time dilatation of some sort and people reliving the future over and over again probably just seemed to wacky. Despite her statment that everyone was over reacting the minister did give some interesting thoughts on the prospect of the nuclear reactor exploding, they needed to be shut down by hand, which meant that the person who caused the explosion was not working alone. Most likely droids where at play if the master mind wanted to keep himself alive, but such was a problem considering how many of said droids the Minister had pointed out.

She gave a small nod to [member="Rex Taff"] as he want about changing security codes around to limit the hacking ability of whoever was tampering with the defense trap controls, tough could not help but wonder about his mention of no loved ones. Had that been why the boy left the military? his past was just as much a mystery as her own, two alike but ever so different. With the Chiss off doing what he did best eyes fell onto, [member="Aya Clarke"] who seemed to be arguing with the minister but more then that in physical pain, had the attack left her, wait had others experienced such feelings? Herself being accustomed to war along with vampiric healing no longer took much note of pain, but most here where not the same, Aya was human and also had a bad track record of being injured and shot down.

"Are you okay General Clarke? If you need a hand just tell me", it was at this point she wish force healing was one of her skills, from what Tanasuki had explained one could abate the pain of others and transfer it to oneself. In the mean time [member="Srina Talon"] would continue talking with the minister on how the fail safes could be bypassed, quickly coming to the idea that the reactor was tampered with". "Perhaps a little to much of a leap in faith but it did not matter the Echani racing down the hallway, without proper security clearance or because mister hacker was already underway the small army of Driodekas became hostile, very hostile. Before Kureani could turn away from Aya Rex was already on the case, force pushing the battle droids away with significant power damaging a few turrets in the process.

It was action but would it work? would the security measures just slow them down more this time around as the CIS actually posed a threat? One did not know but Kurenai would have preferred to carry out events in a more subtle manner, she could only hope that in the even the reactor did explode that the time dilation would occur once again. "I guess I don't have a choice, why are children these days so rash, at least think about you actions for a second". Letting out a small sigh Kurenai would run forward, projecting a force shield to keep herself and anyone behind her safe from the oncoming fire.

Action. Brash, pointless perhaps, but this at least meant motion. Motion would help her ignore what was to come, at least for a while longer, progress towards a goal. If Aya was not dead, her Goddess must not yet have a place for her, she had to assume she would prevail, at least until her spot was cleaned and readied. So, it was hardly a surprise that Aya staggered off after Kurenai, as the others rushed on ahead only to be subjected to blaster fire from rows of droidekas and turrets. Rex had saw fit to use the Force to send some rolling back into destruction, while Kurenai seemed to prefer a defensive option, projecting a force barrier to absorb blaster fire. The Force had many uses, it seemed. And so Aya quietly joined Srina behind a pillar, watching red lasers be stopped by Kurenai or impact walls with destructive force.

They needed to advance. How could they advance?

"Yumi are you able to maintain your barrier as you advance? Rex, Srina, focus your attention to the center of their forces. We do not need to destroy them all we simply need to find a way through them, if Yumi can maintain her barrier we'll use that to push through them to the doorways beyond. If not, we'll need to make our own physical barrier to move forward." This was when she withdrew the inactive hilt from inside her coat. Srina would know it, if she paid much attention to Metus's matters, as the uniquely shaped hilt gifted to the General for her own lightsaber. A crossguard of phrik, to protect herself. And the others would figure it out simply enough. It wasn't like they couldn't tell a lightsaber when they saw it.

"It all depends on you Miss Yumi. Can you maintain the barrier while in motion?"

Srina’s lips parted to respond to the Confederates that had accompanied her into the Reactor Facility while the permacrete of the pillar behind her began to crumble under fire from the automated turrets and the destroyer droids. Her expression was blank, that of polished marble, but within the confines of her being she felt frustration. This was not how their tour of Zolan was supposed to go. For once, they had hoped for a peaceful trip to a new world, but that seemed to be too much to ask.

The laser turrets were less concerning. The droidekas were fast. Very, very fast. And there were unfortunately many of them. Her eyes closed briefly as she summoned her armor from the mists and before the eyes of those who could see her, the blue of her dress distorted, before disappearing. It replaced itself with shades of black and red so fierce that the differences would be jarring. The Scarlet Vow was contained within a Talisman of Calling and always sat on her wrist. It was a dormant layer of protection that the Vicelord had provided after Tatooine. Undetectable, it appeared like a bracelet, until required.

“I can also assist with—“

The white-haired woman never got the chance to finish her sentence. There was a low rumble deep within the facility that she had not felt the first time through. At first, nothing happened, but then light filled her vision, followed by intense heat, pain, and finally nothing.

Once again, Myst was lit on fire.

Zolan_CISDiv.png

The Sith Apprentice sucked in a deep breath when she snapped back to the present. Or was it the past? Visions of death danced before her eyes, yet, the group of Confederate soldiers seemed unharmed. Her stomach sank. Oh…NoAya…”, she breathed, silver orbs searching the area for the General. Srina did not know what effect this time paradox would have one someone that seemed so susceptible to the flame. The Echani felt frustration and as the Minister began to ramble on about the same things she had heard over and over she bit her lip hard enough that it nearly bled.

There was no way to be stealthy about this. No way to take their time and plan their way through. While she wanted nothing more than to look after their people, she couldn’t do that, if a wall of hellfire was set to consume them on a timer. A slew of viciously creative Mandalorian curse words blew through her mind was a vengeance. It was time to cut a few corners. Each time they lost, they knew more than they knew before, and could do better than the last time.

They just needed the presence of mind to act.

Srina set her gaze on Jonpas Audotora and instead of asking the poor Minister to aid them she instead employed the same mental manipulations that had been used on her in the past. Her defenses were nothing. The training that she had endured with Darth Metus in order to hone in on her skills allowed her to run through the Clawdites mind like it was made of wet tissue paper. “You will go to the external generator with your people and begin the shutdown process. You will let nothing stand in your way.”

The Minister of Myst was already walking away. This time, they would go WITH Rex while he sliced, and they would proceed without delay. “Master…Darth Metus…We have a way in.”, her eyes flickered toward those who were most affected by the phantom pain and tragedy of the paradox with a sense of sympathy. Yet, if they wanted to end their suffering, the reactor needed to be shut down. “We could use any extra hands to deal with the security measures. If we can distract the turrets and cause enough of a problem Minister Taff should be able to break the line and get to central command.”

Her eyes turned toward the chiss that most of her plan hinged on. He had not let her down so far, not in any way, and she had no reason to think he would now.

“Once we get you through—Don’t look back. No matter what. Coerce the staff into helping you with the shutdown as quickly as possible. Use any means necessary. Time is of the essence. If anyone else can get through to help him—Do it. Otherwise, the rest of us will have our hands full. Let’s move.

Srina did not wait to allow her armor to flow this time. With the exception of [member="Aya Clarke"] she fully expected everyone, including, but not limited to [member="Rex Taff"], [member="Kurenai Yumi"], Darth Metus, the Verd children, the Nightmother, and her pets to do their part. When it came to the Force, the apprentice was exceptional, but there was only so much one person could do. This task would require the full support of everyone involved IF they ever wanted to escape this prison.

Once again, Rex would have to slice through the security, and once again, they would encounter the laser turrets and rows of armed droidekas. “Taff—According to what I picked up from Audatora the door behind the droidekas is the one you’ll need to go through. As soon as you see an opening head straight for it. We’ll cover you.”

With that, the apprentice began to move, her Echani eyes having already picked up where her targets were the first time through. It was an unfair advantage in most fights, but here, it was pivotal. She wished that she had her hand cannon to disable the laser turrets…But, since she was without, it was time to improvise. Srina telekinetically picked up one of the shields covered droidekas and threw it into the ceiling, causing its shield to crush the turret it was underneath. Slashing her hand to the side, she continued to drag it through the permacrete, literally using it to scrape the laser turrets off of their mounts.

Her methods may have seemed brash, or impetuous, but if their own Minister of Science could not shut down the reactor…Srina wasn’t entirely sure who could.

Panic rose inside of Anastasia as the alarms started going off and the mechanical words formed inside them, the hostess telling them not to calm. The walls suddenly felt like they were pressing on them, closing. She reached for her throats, suddenly feeling like she was going to suffocate before suddenly everything had gone quiet. Deadly silent. She made out the words around her, she could see the flashes of orange, she could see her family near by as she felt a quiet numbness. There is no fear, only stillness. The monster's words suddenly flowed through her. No knowledge, only instinct, the memory continued as she felt herself calmer by each line. No life, only death. The monster belonged to no Force philosophy. She served the Sith, she served the Empire. Her purpose in this galaxy was to serve and take lives. As such, her own philosophy was different. No emotions, no light or dark, just a middle that served to guide. Now, the memory served for her center herself through her panic.

Anastasia inhaled a deep breath, hearing it loudly in her ears as she did. The alarm counted down and the hostess continued to order the system as if it would obey. It didn't.

Her mind went on high alert in a moment, guided by the lessons long provided in her mind but not in person. The first of the turrets fired and the clone crouched down and rolled, avoiding the first and second of the hits in her direction. Oxygen began to deflate out of the room, the walls and doors filled with electricity. Anastasia didn't know this however as she bolted for the doors, inhaling deeply as she reached for her Force Body, empowering herself before she'd reached her hands for the doors, wanting to pry them open in this chaos. She wouldn't get a chance though as the electricity spread from the doors to her fingertips and from then on, electrifying her entire body. She wouldn't have a chance to pull away and save herself before it killed her before the explosion ever would.

Zolan_CISDiv.png
,

Her eyes open suddenly, a small aftershock shaking her for a moment before Anastasia tried to understand what happened, turning rapidly to find familiar faces around her. Alive. The thought suddenly rose in her mind. Life. The draught continued to develop in her mind as she continued to stare. I'm alive. It suddenly dawned on her. Her mind was near black, except for those thoughts, dark eyes staring still. No death, only life, Anastasia twisted the belief of the monster to explain the jumble of her mind, her fingers touching against the fabric of her dress again, rapidly releasing as she felt like she had felt a jolt against her fingertips. It's not real.

Everyone was speaking, Anastasia was only half listening to them now. Not until Srina's voice reached her. She or he didn't know anything so it wasn't an accident or assassination. He didn't even remember the explosion. "Explosion?" Anastasia suddenly sounded herself off surprised as images came together. "Alarms. Turrets. Electricity." That was what she remembered, still feeling like it was crawling just under her skin, a constant reminder of the feeling.

We need to shut it down. Dad's Apprentice suddenly informed her. In her mind, she debated. Does she obey the apprentice or not? It was confusing to be able to tell what the right answer was. The monster's voice still had an effect her, she wasn't sure whether or not to listen to her right now because the monster proved to be right when it came to her. The hostess interrupted those thoughts as she implied they had been drinking and claimed there was no explosion.

Slowly, her head turned to look at her. "Don't be rude, you'll lose a tongue." She found herself snapping, startling even herself by the words as she did. Instead, she found herself following the favored apprentice as she moved back, halting when she did as she realized the trouble that lay ahead. The same calm covered her now, panic avoiding her altogether as they covered, Anasteria rolling away into cover again as she did before. Repeated action. Change method. Her mind reasoned as she remained in cover, watching the laser fire passing by as she summoned the Force again. This time not to call for her gift from Doashim but to form a kinetic ball, her hands spreading as she concentrated. It began to take shape, lighting forming around thin air, growing still before she'd jump out and throw it at the nearest droideka and jump away again, this time coming on the same side as Srina, not waiting around to see the kinetic ball strike against the droika or to be fired at by the others. Defenses. Her mind reminded her. "Activated defenses. No alarm. Touch nothing." The more she saw, the more it became clearer. The electricity became clearer in her mind.

Anastasia had no intention of dying the same way as she did before, in fact, she had no intention of dying again. Life was a better an option.

Srina was suggesting something, after Aya had asked how they were going to get through. He was still trying to get rid of the droidieka threat and then fire. It felt like Ice down his veins once more. Except this time there was no vision of people it was just darkness. They knew it wasn't his time and so hadn't shown up this time around. He once again took a sharp breathe as he was back in the same position with the embassy.

He did the same thing all over again and followed Srina once more to the reactor. Making it through the first door that were once again faced with droidieka's this time however he had to get through. This time he used force cloak to hide himself. As he left whoever had come with him as he made it to the next door. Using the code to get through this time. He made it to the reactor room controls. It was only him. Well Kark I had hoped for some help. As he flipped some switches and began the shutdown sequence. He used force speed to get his way around the room preforming the duties of 10 people. He had done it this time he shut down the reactor.

Then after the reactor began shutting down he began shutting down all the defences. He shut down the droidikeas and laser cannons anywhere in the building before he jumped on the PA "Okay Confederates the shut-down protocols have begun. The defences are down and we shouldn't shift through time again." Or at least he hoped they didn't, he sat down. He was exhausted from having to shut everything down by himself. He really didn't want to do it again.

C O N C L U S I O N

It was over.

They had tasted death, twice now, but the danger was finally over. The process was one of the purest agony - dying only to learn how to survive. Yet, in the end, the deadly tour had finally come to a close. When the transmission came through from the Minister of Science, Darth Metus finally slumped to one knee. He felt no different than his General, [member="Aya Clarke"], who had been confronted by the fire so harshly. To die by fire, for the second and third time in his existence, took more out of the Sith than anything else. He felt strained even to stand. Strained even to speak. Strained even to think.

And yet, while he was meek, Srina Talon was strong.

Despite having choked on Death, she rose stronger. Her commands were concise and true. She was strength personified - and Darth Metus couldn't have been more proud. But in this moment, he needed time to breathe. Now that the greatest danger had passed, orders were given to the Confederate personnel on the outside. An investigation was launched immediately by the Knights Obsidian, one that would ultimately reveal the damning truth. This was no accident. This was no flaw in coding or human error. This was intentional.

Though the culprit had yet to be identified as of present, the Vicelord was beginning to piece together a theory.

Shimia. Relovian. Zolan. All reeked of being pieces to the same puzzle. The same MO - harming as many innocent lives as possible. Burning away the Confederacy as harshly as possible. Was this the backlash of the Crucible? Or was his exhaustion simply getting the better of him?

No matter. For the time being, the crisis was over. Zolan would make good on its pledge to enter the fold. And the Confederacy lived to see another day.

Keeping her force shield up it did not take long for [member="Aya Clarke"] to take command, the woman waiting not time giving out orders in a typical military style, something Kurenai sort of missed. It had been a while since she had fought along side the Confederacy General, unfortunately it for no avail, in no time the sudden white light engulfing the group a searing pain of heat killing all those present, some falling to defenses long before the blast even came. Ones like [member="Anastasia Verd"] being silenced by the many traps that lined the area, somthing good an keeping people out, a very double edged sword in this circumstance.

Just like before the entire group was now standing at the entrance, the Minister just about to start her tour, but this time, they would not wait, they would not make sure everyone was okay, sending second guesses out in all directions, this time it was straight to action. [member="Srina Talon"] spoke in a cammanding tone, no longer stunned by the event of dying several times, each person present going straight for their objectives , "you want me to cover [member="Rex Taff"]... I have a feeling that won't be necessary". Such proved true as the young Chiss used his Witch mark power to cloak himself as soon as the doors opened the speedy minister quickly and in some sort of way, managed to get through all the defenses and shut down every fail safe switch and defenses off in the process, the driodekas and turrets along with the sealing rooms no longer being a threat.

It kind of felt underwhelming, Talon had gone out of her way to do some rousing speech and plan, but once again no challenge seemed to even slow Rex down. 'Wait why am I thinking this way? I have my uses right? do I...'? It was an odd line of thinking but as of late Kurenai had never really done anything, more just a bystander while other took the lead, her skill set not really being anything to gawk at, or specialized enough to warrant specific missions. While the present members went about their own activities, celebrating, resting, tending to others the Energy Vampire once again secluded to a corner, wondering... thinking, had she become of little use to the confederacy besides the battlefield? Were her skill in espionage even needed with the Withes pack and their ability to grant people a force power that took years to master? "Perhaps I should talk with Metus, he would have wise council no"?
