STRENGTHS

Non-Lethal - The AT-SI27 was designed with the inclusion of a Damping Sleeve that allows the weapon to produce a stun bolt. Additional components and overall design focused on producing a weapon that was otherwise incapable of producing a harmful blaster bolt.

Recharge - Ensuring that a weapon can be utilized multiple times and recharged easily was a priority when this weapon was being designed. The inclusion of a refill valve and the means to easily recharge the included power pack ensure that the individual utilizing the weapon is capable of rapidly recharging and refilling these reservoirs with relative ease and speed.

Compact - Though slightly larger than the AT-SH4, the AT-SI27 is still relatively compact and easily concealable on an individual's person. When held, the weapon fits comfortably in the hand and the added SB4 Shortened Barrel ensures that the weapon can be easily drawn from a holster, concealed or otherwise.

WEAKNESSES

Non-Lethal - Though the weapon was designed to serve as a non-lethal option, the stun effect that is produced is aligned more closely to those natural electrical fields produced by Humans and Near-Human species. Use of this weapon on species that do not share this similar field can potentially cause harm, rendering an individual disabled for life, or even resulting in the death of the individual.

Minimal Range - The AT-SI27 is not meant to serve as a battlefield weapon or a means to engage a target at prolonged distances. Its effective range is within the personal space of an individual, roughly three to six meters away with the stun bolt experiencing degradation and loss of power beyond that range.

Suppressor - Each weapon was produced with the inclusion of components to suppress the noise created when the weapon is fired. However, it should be noted, that these components do not completely mute the weapon and render it noiseless, as the noise of the weapon being fired can still be heard by those nearby and potentially alerting patrolling guards.

DESCRIPTION

Not every situation calls for a death nor does every mission require that an individual go blazing a path through opposition with a hail of blaster bolts and grenades. In these instances, when silence and stealth are key and bodies would bring more questions and scrutiny that are unwanted, the best option is to quietly take down a target with a non-lethal stun bolt. The Agents of the Strategic Intelligence Agency know all too well that sometimes discretion and knocking an enemy out serves the mission better than dispatching every individual with a blaster, and it was for this reason that the AT-SI27 was developed for those Agents. Though the AT-SI27 is only slightly larger than the AT-SH4, the weapon is still relatively compact and easily concealable on an individual's person, a boon when it comes to Agents that want to keep a weapon close at hand. The overall design of the AT-SI27 includes additional components that allow for the weapon to be easily recharged, be it the power pack or the tibanna gas reserve. This ensures that even if the weapon has been discharged, the Agent in question can still quickly and easily get their weapon back into worker order without the need for additional components or discarding the weapon altogether. Each AT-SI27 was also designed with additional suppressors that are intended to both suppress the flash from the discharge of the weapon, as well as suppress the noise that the weapon creates when it is discharged at a target. However, it should be noted that these merely suppress the noise, as the components do not render the weapon entirely mute or silent, and caution should still be taken due to the potential of alerting nearby individuals when the weapon is discharged. Likewise, the weapon is rather limited in its effective range, often requiring that a target be within three to six meters to be efficient without experiencing loss of power or degradation of the stun bolt. With conflict once more raging and the Galactic Alliance finding themselves targeted by enemies new and old, the likelihood that the Agents of the Strategic Intelligence Agency will be deployed is high. The AT-SI27 provides these Agents with an additional tool in the arsenal that is intended to provide them a means to quietly and cautiously execute their mission and achieve their objective without the need of killing or adding the hassle and worry of hiding a deceased individual.
