Ascendancy Over What Remains (OS Dominion of Crina)

B9rKwynl.jpg

Crina

The Imperial Remnant, though it had continued to hold on tooth and nail was just that. A Remnant, and it had finally died and blown away in the wind, it just didn't know it yet. This was something the One Sith and in particular their Imperial legions and fleets intended to correct. After all, they didn't need the Mandalorians getting hold of the planet. Of course first it needed to be brought to heel, the Crinans and the Remnant of the Remnant were notoriously stubborn, but they could not stand against the might being brought to bear.

Diplomacy was considered, and then set aside. Why give them warning, time to cement their defences and call all their troops home? Tactically it made far more sense to strike, to take control, and then to speak, if it was deemed necessary.

The targets were identified as followed:

The Royal Palace
Palaces were symbols. Taking this quickly could be a crippling blow to the Crinan morale and forces. Plus if either of the Two Queens were in attendance, the past leaders could be neatly dealt with, either captured or killed. And if both, well two Queens were better than one.

Crina's Shipyards
Located near the Tatiana Mountains, securing these is part of fleet dominance, this will also involve dealing with whatever ships they have in the sky.

Cosmina Academy for Practicioners
Securing this is imperative before the planets native force users can scatter and become that much harder to round up and deal with. These could either be willing recruits for the Sith, or their opposition. An ideal target for force-users.

St Tiberius Military Academy
Similar to the above, this is where Crinas next generation of troops and military leaders are trained. Given too much time they could dig their heels in, fortify and become a major problem.

And finally once the planet was under control, establishing an Imperial Base was absolutely imperative. This would be the One Siths furthest outpost, and most likely to have to respond to Mandalorian threat, having it ready and prepared to both attack and defend is crucial.

These... Sith were curious creatures. Thinking to come to a world who's location was a highly guarded secret, home to the Imperial Empress Krista Fel who stood not far from him as he read. These were such interesting people in such an interesting time. "Question Miss Fel, Do you think Sith Bleed?" He smiled behind the mask that obscured who and what he was, that broke his voice and left him obscured by visuals and audio. You would quite literally need X-ray vision to see who he was and as far as he knew there was no such thing as X-Ray vision. Such... Silly Creatures. "My Empress, my men will take you to my shuttle, it is a stealth ship they will never find and you will be spirited away. Do not worry." It was a squad of his Shadow Legion, with several others in the private hanger near two Umbra Class Dropships and a number of Remnant Class starfighters. His ship would escape... considering it was a Dark Harvester. A Vessel owned by the previous owner of Krayt's second half, but now was dead and he needed it more. "Make sure that she is not caught, or all of you will be unemployed permanently.

Securing the Empress was easy, it was a simple and relaxed task that he shadowed himself as he transferred all files to his datapad. The incoming Sith Ships would have been engaged by what was the Imperial Navy, a mixture of Carricks, Dreadnaughts, Victory Classes and a number of Imperial Remnant ships of newer design. They would be busy at first, too busy to realistically be able to make it down to the surface of this planet. And even if they did try the numerous anti air defenses of the capital world of the Imperials would be able to delay them. There was no logical way for them to reach the palace and get to the Empress. "Any Civilians are to be escorted to ships and brought off the world immediately. I do not know if we can hold the Sith in truth but we will not put people's lives in danger. I want the Academy officers and Force users over seeing this while they also work on organizing the city's internal defenses to deal with the Sith. Remember. United we are strong, We are the Empire. We are Fel's Legacy and we will crush the Sith like we did Seven hundred years ago. FOR THE EMPIRE." He waited a few seconds before turning his head to look towards the ship he was coming up on behind Krista. They would not leave yet, no he needed the tactical read outs.

"Teams Echo, Foxtrot, and Gamma. I want the records cleared and all files either wiped or downloaded onto recovery boxes. They will be brought with us. All sensitive info such as Designs are to go first, then comm codes, IFFs, and so on. I trust you know what is going to happen next once you have the files... give these sith a surprise should they try to access the panels." His men, atleast three of them per squad, were trained to set high explosives or rig consoles to start a chain meltdown of all the systems. Tripping them through attempts into slicing or hacking the computers. Only an Officer's authorization code being able to get into the files without the blast or meltdown. This of course was shared with -only- Solan's Shadow Legionnaires. He didn't trust other people with his secrets, only himself and his people would know of the booby trapping of the systems that was happening. Special ops forces at their best... but he would need insurance. "Give a call to the Plute, Set, and Hel. I need them in the system ten minutes ago. If worse comes to worse we might not be leaving here in good graces."

The Three ships were Hapan Dragons that were kept in Imperial Remnant space to protect Krayt assets, of course no one would be able to figure that out without knowing who their commander is. They would run imperial IFFs, be coated in a black, and hold only to the beck and call of one man. Let the games begin little Sith, It is your move on this chess game.

Lastly came the minefields. A little known fact was that the asteroids around the planet were rigged with mines and defenses that unless you knew the route, a route only the Imperial Remnant officers would know. The very ones in the fleet standing between the Sith and the Evacuating populace. Ready to shoot and die for their empress. Unless the Sith magically learned the path... they would be running right into a situation where their ships would be torn apart and their lives ended before even a shot was fired at them. Another piece of the game, placed into its part around the board.

People had some funny ideas about secrecy these days. For one thing, it tended to be blown when you regularly flew fleets around in the space habitually used by the One Sith to reach their Primeval allies and vice versa. Half the Primeval dabbled in being Sith and half the Sith wanted to know what this old god business was about, it added up to quite a lot of flight time. After awhile people started wondering who precisely owned these old star destroyers flitting about the place.

Add to that the visit of one Strider Garon, who the Sith had reason to keep a very close eye on as he was often more of a driving force in the Mandalorian war machine than the Mand'alore himself and it wasn't long before the offending worlds were identified. It had taken awhile to quietly and completely map out the asteroid fields that shielded them, a matter slowed by the event some called the Rapture and others called Netherworld, but map they did, unobtrusively preparing for when the personnel and resources would be available to go deal with these upstarts.

That day had come.

-------------------------

Cyrene Miles sat in her snow white stormtrooper armour among her fellows on one of the ships that had just boomed out of hyperspace and was now expertly navigating the asteroids.

"Did you hear?"

"What?"

"These Imperials pretenders placed Gravity Well stations all throughout the asteroid field."

"What? Why? I'm a farmgirl 'n even I know that don't make no sense. Y'can't even use hyperspace to get through an asteroid field, th'mass shadows alone.."

"I know. Maybe they don't know the difference between a gravity well and the dovin basal tech we have from the Vong? I mean from what I hear they're basically trying to be us."

"I guess.."

"Got some mines though, so that might be interesting."

"Hope we gotta good pilot then."

This was met with general merriment. Nothing was funnier to soldiers than gallows humour after all. Now there was nothing to do but wait as they fleeters brought them close enough to be dropped wherever they were being assigned..

A remnant is something that simply didn't know when to let go and die. This was not the Empire that Rovasus intended to do business with, nor would he ever see himself standing under their own self-justified banner. Only the strongest survive, and this "remnant" was not among the many that knew where their true allegiance was. Now was the time for Rovasus to resurface into the world of the living and breathe new life into the husk that was Imperial strength - he simply couldn't let the Sith have all the fun. These people needed to understand that a lightsaber isn't the only thing that should be feared, rather, a man with a certain set of skills and years of experience.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUNNXecb6nA&list=LLuap6D97Ak_a2qDeGaVJe_Q&index=93
Hanging in space just outside of the planet's orbit, Rovasus watched the globe curiously. Rising from the pilot's seat, the chrome-plated Captain armed himself with his favored blasters; one T-21 light repeater along with dual DC-17 handguns strapped to either thigh. Strapping the rifle to his cloaked shoulder, the special operations soldier prepared himself as he noticed a ship drop out of hyperspace. He observed the craft and adjusted himself a bit before placing his right hand to the side of his helmet, attempting to hail the One Sith forces.

"This is Captain Vonstrogg; you may not know me personally, but I believe I have similar interests with you lot despite how you're a bunch of Sith. I've been watching your actions from afar and I must say... I admire your handy work. Simply put, I'll be assisting your forces however I can. Over and out."

With that, the self-proclaimed Captain began to trail behind the fleeters. They too would soon witness how a man of his talents worked in the midst of battle, and why he had earned his title as "The Steel Fist". As for this remnant or whatever they wished to view themselves as, they would only find bitter defeat by the end of this. As Rovasus tailed the OS vessel, he wondered how the men and women that served the Imperial Remnant would feel once they understood the matter of the situation. Perhaps they would come to their senses and serve a real Empire.

All egos aside, the chrome-plated trooper set his focus on the objective at hand. Touch down upon the world and make himself known to his allies. He didn't much care for the Sith per say, but he did find honor and value in those that pushed onward in difficult matters by using only their wits and training. To him, that was a real hero of the Empire.

Sage Bane waited on the bridge of The Scourge, the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer belonging to Captain Hans Vaiden of the Imperial Inquistion, with his hands folded in front of him like a statue, his eyes sealed shut, and his head bowed. The Sith Knight was meditating as he waited for the drop ship to ferry he and the soldiers he would be fighting alongside down to the surface of Crina where the planet would be claimed in the name of the One Sith. Joining him in battle would be Hal Terrano, the former Jedi Knight turned Sith, and right hand man to Vrag. Hopefully, Knight Terrano wasn't afraid of snakes.

Sage used his rawest emotions, hatred, rage and more specifically his anger over his recent loss in a ferocious battle against the Jedi Knight [member="Nejaa Niynx"] to help him stoke the fires of blood lust. He called upon the dark side of the Force to fill him with tides of its enthralling power while visualizing the One Sith Imperial Inquisition in battle, willing its fleets and fighters to be victorious.

He wore a black cloak draped over his armored clothing. A lightsaber was clipped to one side of his belt, a new red blade, since his first was stolen by Niynx, and a magical focus, a wooden hand brimming with ancient Sith magic, was clipped to the other.

A black Sith sheep among the white-armored storm troopers surrounding him, Sage continued to sharpen his mind and heal his burns, also gifts from Knight Niynx, until he Commander Temi's voice over the comms signaled that it was time.

The Sith Imperials were fools.

The Imperial Remnant on Crina was already far in motion. Diplomacy? Warning? They did not need those things from traitors who can't operate for themselves and needed the safety and leadership of the Sith to tell them what to do. Sections of the Sith forces had been caught before reaching the planet at all, giving ample warning to the people of Crina and the Imperial Remnant anyway. After all, there had been some work put into several sleeper mine fields coupled with gravity well projectors between the gaps in the asteroid field to prevent people from just waltzing on in, taking into account if anyone could have found the world at all that was. Apparently the Sith had, through means currently unexplained. Still, it made no matter now, the Imperial Remnant knew it wouldn't be winning a fight against the Sith Empire, and the Crinan government as well was quite aware of what it was like.

So they were leaving.

The Imperial Empress along with the Crinan Royal family had departed the moment the outer system sensors had been pinged. They weren't the only ones either, as transports carrying the major assets of Crina's population, its engineers, its scientists, the students of its premiere academies such as St. Tiberius, even a number of regular citizens too though their numbers of course paled with those being left behind. They had left, the Remnant flagship Tears of Calamity carrying them away from the Luminita system. With them were the future, students of Cosmina who would become Practitioners, or maybe Imperial Knights of the Remnant, who would fight to retake their world, along with those who would one day join the military staff as officers or elite units. The hard earned Stealth Frigates of the Remnant were certainly useful for the very last groups to try and escape as the enemy attacked.

They were gone, but others remained.

Crina's Armies were already being mobilized into position to counter attack the invasion force. Turbolaser Towers were brought online in the Capital city and around the major military installations. Civilians were being evacuated and directed to flee towards the plains, where the villages and communities held little strategic significance and would not be targeted. Crinan soldiers in their shielded combat armor were taking their positions in the city and at such locations as the Tiberius Academy, the Cosmina Practitioner School, the shipyards, and the valley in front of the Royal Palace. The Palace's own contingent of the Royal Army as well as the Royal Guard in their own armor awaited within the structure, ready to fight the enemy in defense of the building and the command staff still within leading the planet's defense.

Which included several of the teachers of the Cosmina Academy and Practitioners around the world who kept watch over certain regions to congregate to Cosmina and the Palace to aid in mounting the defense, alongside a few Imperial knights of the Remnant to fight the force users the Sith might deploy themselves. Although as many Crinan Elite Units were armed with their own Energy Blades even they could provide some resistance to the lightsaber wielding Sith for a time. And they were not alone, besides the planet's own ranks, they did have some companies of the Remnant's Stormtrooper Corp in attendance as well, the Storm Commandos making an appearance themselves even at the Palace.

Joining the Crinan Military as well were towering AT-FATs, a few walking alongside older AT-AT models, as well as AT-AWs and AT-STs of several variants. The Impressive vehicles strength was a terrifying presence the defenders hoped, alongside Rhonto Class Command Walkers and would hopefully mount a powerful holding against the invasion. However, one world knew it could not last forever, even if it lasted months in resistance and siege. To that end the facilities of Regent Industries were quickly demolished, and Crina's files on their unique shielding technology and their energy blade were erased, along with any data on the Remnant's procedures and information. The only copies would be those that fled aboard the ships that had carried major personnel away already.

The only major loose end then was the shipyards. No major Imperial Vessels stood guard over it, all Star Destroyers, especially the ISD IIIs, had long been moved away, partly due to keeping them out of the hands of warlords that had risen in time. So instead, only the Crinan Navy was standing guard, most of it undoubtedly engaged with the Sith fleet in orbit delaying them even more as defenses were mounted on the planet below. However, in a way it was a ruse, as major stockpiles of components and materials had been evacuated, as had those in Imperial facilities on the neighboring worlds of Rodica and Lanota as well in system. In their place was a different stockpile, enough explosives to tear down the shipyards, their data and resources gone to be utilized elsewhere. But hopefully still they could draw in some Sith for fireworks all the same and make them pay for storming the location. And hopefully a Crinan Cruiser backed by a Carrier would imply there was something worth protecting there for them to investigate if they could.

Alva herself was planning on being one of the last groups to depart. The 181st would participate only a little before retreating, alongside a few other units. The Scimitars, Interceptors, Hunters, Defenders, and Seekers of the 181st TIE Fighter Wing were joined alongside the flights of Crinan Interceptors rising to defend their homeworld's airspace. For now they were making sweeps over the major cities, checking the evacuation of civilians and watching for any bombing raids, though hopefully with the major sites on Crina with their own defenses perhaps they could successfully hold out for that.

Whatever the case, whenever this was said and done the Remnant would remember this. . . .and an Empire would strike back.

"Coming up on the system now, milord."

The ensign, young and eager to please, spoke in a voice that was mixed with barely contained anticipation and lingering hints of primal fear as he forced his eyes to look upon the monolithic monarch that sat tall and mighty in the bridge's command chair. Beyond the large transparisteel viewport that dominated the entire forward facing wall of the bridge that gave an impressive view of the seemingly never-ending bow of the Black Iron Tyrant, and the blended mess of stars beyond as the ship bludgeoned it's way through hyperspace. The being, clad in black armorplast overlapping a cloak of luscious zeyd-cloth, tore his gaze away from the endless churning of the immaterial hyperspace to glare down at the ensign who looked like an insect before a colossal. The piercing emerald eyes were ringed with black-tinged flesh that gave them an oppressive brooding look, and the dark emblem seared into his forehead burned brightly at the thought of the imminent carnage.

"Bring the fleet out of hyperspace on the edge of the system, reconnaissance reports detail asteroid fields literally the inner system. We will have to proceed with caution once we have arrived, and I would be annoyed should we lose a single ship to floating rocks." Of course, should that happen he rightfully couldn't punish the captain responsible for the loss, as they'd be a smoldering corpse in the cold nothingness of the void from his failure. Still, that was fair enough punishment, and no doubt the Netherworld would concoct some horrid eternity for him to suffer.

Then, with a jolt, the Black Sword Command lurched from the throes of hyperspace into the stunning sharpness of reality with a thunderous groan as the ship suddenly appeared on the very fringes of the Luminita system along with an invasion force of forty-four Star Destroyers consisting of Sith-Imperial Wyyrloks and Pellaeon Mk-IIs (Which had gone unused when the Old Empire collapsed, but were brought back into service with the acquisition of Kuat Drive Yards and the Rendili shipyards). The command ship, Black Iron Tyrant, was a five kilometer long dreadnaught outfitted with a state-of-the-art A.I system commonly referred to as AXIOS, and bristled with an immense amount of weaponry.

"This is Black Sword Command to all Sith-Imperial vessels in the region, beware the asteroid fields. recent reports state that the fields are lined with gravity well stations and mines. Proceed with caution." And with that, the fleet closed in.

The alarm sounded across the palace, heavy metal boots jogged in strict lines followed by officers barking orders.

The 337th storm corp platoon was currently making preperations to defend the interior of the royal palace. Explosives were being planted at windows and entrances, any one breaching would be in for a surprise. Along hallways troopers worked hard to put up barricades. They knew they wrre being outnumbered and their tactic would be to fall back one barricade at the time until commander [member="Alva Calvarona"] sounded full retreat.

"Tk-404, you are on me. Mount that beuty of yours on this barricade. Lets give em hell when they come Trooper!"
Weiss placed the last explosive on the door and then retreated to the barricade himself.

Aurna really hated factions some times. It was a good thing her ship was a stealth ship. She began rounding up civilians on to her ship. The fact was she was a neutral party and only wanted out. It was nice to rely on the Nike She smiled and was glad she hadn't kept anything here of her company, despite having originally wanting to. She loaded via shuttles as many civilians as she could fit. She was here for that after all. She only cared about her lovely girlfriend after all. She had defenses but really they had no reason to fire upon the Nike, it was an civilian vessel that just happened to hold those precious to Aurna. That was what she could do, and given the small populace of the palace, it was rather easy to load them into her ship. She took all the people she could fit into her ship, choosing women and children first and men only after. Those that weren't determined to die fighting off the sith. They were determined to not diplomatically approach this so she would do her best to get them off the planet. When all the escape shuttles but her personal shuttle was jettisoned off the ship, she activated the stealth fields and began plotting her escape, knowing the routes out didn't mean it was easy. She checked the scans and began taking a route that had not yet been surrounded, it was nice when no one knew you were there. There was no reason to suspect her anyways, she wasn't usually with the IR. Her vessal after all had no markings or transponders even remotely related to the imperials, She didn't have a government she belonged to, so she would normally strike no red flags anyways. Other than the fact she was under a stygum cloak, but then again she was the ceo of a rather large corporation so her transponder would denote Tanlab Industries if someone somehow broke her cloak. No she was out of here and had nothing else to do, she had loaded everyone into her ship when the first reports from the scouts of a incoming sith fleet and well now it was do or die time. Would she get out without detection was the question. she sent a last message to Alva before her ship became closed off to the world via the stealth systems onboard. " You better get off this planet love, I don't know what I will do without you." The message was sent to Alva and her ship moved to leave. Aurna wiped the tears welling in her eyes as she began piloting away from the planet.

Rebellion.

It was never an easy thing to deal with. It didn't matter if it was a thousand worlds, or a single individual, there was always a spark of rebellion. There was always a people who though themselves greater than they were, always a collection of individuals who thought they could match the might of a true Empire.

They were always mistaken.

Fleet Admiral Boan Rein stood upon the bridge of her flagship, the bright blue streaks of hyperspace biting into her pupils as she stared out into the everlasting abyss. Bright streaking stars, millions upon billions passing by in fleeting seconds.

“Ensign.” Boan's smooth rasp curled from her tongue, backs stiffening as pure authority radiated from the tall blonde.

“Yes Ma'am?”

The stuttering tone of the young man answered him back. Boan had long ago earned the loyalty of her crew, not through fear or intimidation, but sheer merit. The Ensign was not afraid, but in awe, he was not much younger than she after all. A smile touched her lips, cold, confident smugness that radiated out from her like a beacon.

“Contact Admiral Croscal as soon as we drop out of hyperspace.” She rasped slightly, looking to the young man. “I have a way of clearing those mines, and substantially upgrading the quality of this system. Then patch me into whatever com system the Remnant used on this world. Public broadcast of course.”

The ensign nodded to her, and slowly as the blue streaks faded away and The Imperious dropped out of hyperspace, Boan smiled.

The massive Star Destroyer fell into space beyond the asteroid fields, immediately deploying gravity mines.

Retreat, this would be long remembered, the empire his parents served were losing. There was a time he could remember when the empire was the attacker, and conqueror. Now pretenders, cowards, and slaves of the sith came to drive them back. Atleast the 337th would stay and fight to the end, the order was simple. Dig in, and fight on it was all the 337th could do, "Yes sir! " . Jumping into action, his heavy repeater was mounted waiting for the fight to begin. Rick asked a question "Sir, do you think we will get out of this alive?" . The soldier was nervous, but from his previous tour proved he was brave, and would fight to the end.

The Sith Fleets were arriving in mass. . . . .

The Remnant's rear guard alongside Crina's Royal Navy of course consisted of much smaller vessels, and would likely not win the day. However, they merely needed to stall time for evacuation, and then perhaps they would retreat as well rather than waste their lives. It was on the ground that the Remnant and Crina's Planetary Forces intended to hinge the battle. They could dig in in the mountains or in the old mines long abandoned or even the forests and valleys around the planet. They could fight for a long time on the ground, the planet was mostly rural and if worse came to worse the old systems the Crinan rebels had once used against the Remnant and Royals could be used by them once more against the invading Sith.

The Remnant had every intention of making the Sith feel the world was far too worth the effort though. Especially as they evacuated the things the Sith would most benefit from taking. Even as the Sith arrived in the system, escapes were being made as transports and ships fled the area on opposites sides of the approaching invaders temporarily slowed down, logically since why would the fleeing ships head toward the enemy. All they had to do was drop sections of the grid where escapes were being made only when fleeing transports were ready to depart while keeping up the gravity projectors near the Sith to keep them from jumping past, although once they did jump in they would have to contend with the array of cruisers in orbit ready to prolong them further. Alva herself hoped to aid in command of the starfighter wings that deployed from the attack cruisers, frigates, and supporting carriers. The cruiser might not be in the same weight class as the star destroyers the Sith brought but they would play as long as they could in this game that was setup.

In addition anyway they seemed to have light support from some companies who held interest in their holdings in Remnant space that were under threat of being lost or annexed into Sith territory, along with whatever Imperial reinforcements Admiral Tarkin herself might bring to the party after returning from patrols in the outer system.

Between the asteroids and the minefields, Commander Temi knew that the tacticians of the 182nd Legion had their work cut out for them navigating a safe passage to the planet. Tmoxin was eager to get down to Crina, so she had made call to board the shuttles without getting the final report from Sgt. Major Ulysses on which route they would use for said dropships. The tacticians were still feverishly mapping and planning and the stress in the room over the Commander’s premature deployment order was palable. “Has she gone mad?” one of them asked the Sgt. Major as he came in to check on progress.

“She was hoping you would have a plan by now,” he replied stiffly.

“We have mapped out the minefield using sensors but it is going rather slowly. These sleeper mines are extremely difficult to detect. Any ship in the area is subject to great catastrophe if not…”

“Enough!” said the Sgt. Major. He knew what a sleeper mine field was capable of doing to a capital ship. “You have five more minutes to map out the complete route. And not a minute more.”

Sgt. Major Ulysses found Commander Temi who was dressed in her white and blue stormtrooper armor and making the final preparations with The Blood Monarchs to board their dropship.

“Five minutes more,” he said.

“Let them have ten minutes,” she said. “This needs to be done right. I’m not losing any ships or any men during a detachment.”

Normally Commander Temi was not this accommodating but the defenses surrounding Crina did intimidate her. She was brutally honest about not losing anymore assets. But there was also a Sith Knight onboard The Scourge and she felt, not necessarily as though she had to impress him – she ultimately reported to Captain Vaiden – but she knew that a Sith Knight could make her life very difficult if he somehow went back to the Wrath of the Dark Lord himself with negative reports about her operation.

Without removing her helmet she found Sage Bane, meditating by his dropship. He would know her by the blue stripes on her armor. She knew him only as the half-brother of her old employer Cryax Bane, and the resemblance was so uncanny, she nearly had trouble getting the words out.

“Knight Bane,” she said. “I’m sorry about the delay. We’re plotting the safest route and I promise you it will not be much longer.”

The Black Sword Command moved with deliberate pace through the cold darkness towards the far side of Crina, their creaking hulls piercing through the emptiness as the asteroids stated in the earlier reports continually grew in size and closeness with every passing moment. The Sith Lord, however; was as silent as the grave as his brooding eyes bore into the obstacles arrayed before them both natural and artificial, but to him this was just another nuance to be swatted aside like everything else that had been so neatly arrayed before him only to be consumed by the ever growing tide of darkness that was the One Sith Empire. Still, his confidence was not imparted upon his liason, the grim pragmatic Tetan Rear Admiral Omarest Croscal, who already weighed the odds of successfully navigating the asteroid fields with a fleet so massive as the one that Vornskr had amassed only a month prior to the engagement.

However; his thoughts were cut short by a transmission from the recently arrived Imperious, the flagship of Fleet Admiral [member="Boan Rein"]. Croscal glanced back at the Sith Lord warily, but Vornskr waved a hand that he should proceed with answering the call, and with a curt nod to the nearby comm officer the entire bridge was bathed in the blue glow of the holographic bust of Admiral Rein.

"Fleet Admiral Rein, this is a pleasure. Black Sword Command has acknowledged your arrival, and we will seek to coordinate with your will in these matters. What do you seek of us?" The Sith Lord in the throne remained silent, allowing his liason to do the talking to Boan, but his gaze was ever present looming behind the smaller form of Croscal.

Solan smiled as he listened to the process over the comms, his ships moving off the ground and into the sky. They would be heading for the safe route established through the minefield, carefully and highly protected by the Imperial Fleet which now faced off a rather large amount of star Destroyers. It made solan confused if this was a fleet to conquer or burn the planet's surface and to be fair Solan didn't much care as the civilians were being loaded onto ships first before any military personnel.

People for some reason seemed to forget that Gravity mines and generators had a limited range, and did not span an entire system. Imagine if it did, that amount of power behind a gravitational Generator would cause ill effects on the planet below if something like that ever happened. The Sith fleet were on the far side of crina while the Crinan fleet were waiting in defense of the planet's people. Solan Charr himself waited in the Dark Harvester stealth ship he had gained from his new place. He started hearing reports of a Super Star Destroyer and he laughed as he heard about such. Such a large ship was nothing but the broadside of a barn. Great for fear but the amount of power and sensors they needed were simply too.... much for such creations. "Such wastes." He shook his head as he looked at the Empress. "So my dear, we will be going soon, i just need to make sure the civilians get out first. Im sure you can agree."

His soldiers remained at their work of course. Downloading what files they could before wiping systems and rigging them. The Sith would find not a fortress to come back too, nothing but a ruin infact and he was more than glad to wait for that as he laughed. Things were going good today.

Fleet Composition:

With the Gravity mines firmly holding the enemy fleet from jumping out of the system, and the Black Swords on the far side of the planet, Boan was confident in her next move.

The mainstay of the Sith Invasion forces were directly ahead of her including The Scourge and several other vessels. With Admiral Croscal on the far side of the system her command should pose no threat to her own allied ships, or even those of the enemy. She smiled slightly, pursing her lips for a moment before motioning to one of the ensigns. The bright blue projection of Croscal appeared directly to her right on a small console there.

“Admiral.” She greeted the man with a nod. “May I make the suggesting of utilizing the combined might of your fleet to punch through that minefield. A full turbo-laser salvo”

Her tone implied it wasn't much of a suggestion. “Striking several of the mines, even at random, should be more than enough to begin a chain reaction within the minefield. It should clear a significant gap, allowing your forces to reach Crina in a more...timely manner.”

It was of course not at all subtle and would attract the attention of the next three systems, but with this amount of firepower there was no point in being subtle. They had enough ships here to squash any real problems that could arise.

Of course the Admiral himself likely knew this, but this conversation was about more than just the suggestion itself. It was about being given clearance to enact it. Black Sword Command was after all not the only fleet in the system, but with [member="Darth Vornskr"]'s own fleet being on the opposite side of the system from botheherself and the others([member="Tmoxin Temi"] [member="Cyrene Miles"] [member="Sage Bane"] [member="Rovasus Vonstrogg"]), it posed no real danger.

She gave the Admiral another curt nod, then shut off the signal.

“Ensign.” Her voice rasped out again.

“Yes Ma'am?”

The tone of respectful awe floated out again. “Please find me that comm-signal. I so wish to speak with the Crinaens.”

The Ensign nodded and began his search.

Objective: Infiltrate Royal Palace
Location: Crina - Outside Royal Palace
Allies: One Sith / Sith Assassins
Music: Kentarch's Main Theme

The eternal darkness that was the Sith spilled out across the galaxy consumed core worlds. Planets and governments fell one by one, and now Crina stood on the edge of this twilight. The remnants of a broken empire that had long pasted its zenith. Their leaders clinging onto old traditions trying to stave off obscurity and oblivion. As the sun set in the horizon Darth Kentarch looked out to Imperial Place in front of him, it seemed more like a temple to old forgotten god then a center of empire.
Dusk is coming. He reflected, gaze still cast on the palace

Kentarch had flown ahead of the main force in his Phasm-Class Infiltrator. Thus by the time he reached Crina, local forces were not ready on stand-by, and he was able to make a clean landing. He chosen a more concealed landing spotted in a wooded area outside the the Royal Palace. His mission was simple, infiltrate and assassinate high command, ending any possible organized. In a stealthy approach he made his way to just outside the main palace, using force concealment to remain hidden.

Striking to soon however was not advisable. Instead he waited, still concealed with the force as he crouched down behind some monument, out of site from any onlookers. The Sith studied the guards as they moved about, making mental notes of their positions and numbers. The opportunity to move presented itself just when he had expected it to. The main force of the One Sith had arrived, bringing their main force with them. Around him alarms sounded and siren blasted away. The soldiers scrambled and guards went to their respective position in case of an emergency. Kentarch stood, and still concealed in the force made his way to the palace, the chaos and confusion caused by the invasion his way in.

The Admiral looked rather surprised, but then again this course of action was rather straight-forward, but blunt and brutal which wasn't exactly his style of doing things. But before he could get another word in edge-wise, the Fleet Admiral cut communications which left the Admiral tongue-tied with a rather amused Sith Lord chuckling silently behind him. He gathered his thoughts and turned with an inquisitive glance at the Voice of the Dark Lord behind him, who unsurprisingly gave him the second clearance to go ahead and begin with the operation. He turned back to the silent bridge-crew, each one of them holding their breath in anticipation for the order to be given by the Rear Admiral, and with a heavy sigh he finally spoke.

"Order all Star Destroyers into battle position, and open fire upon the asteroid field. Give them no quarter, and demolish everything. Should a ship come within range, light it up and eliminate it before it becomes a problem. Relay that message to all warships."

The order was given, the chains removed from the snarling beasts, and with renewed vigor the fleet burst forward into attack position. Fighters were not yet scrambled, as there was no reason to, but even without a deployed fighter screen the sight of the fleet would be intimidating to even the most seasoned veteran. The first ship, a Pellaeon Mk-II, finally reached striking distance and begun to unload volley after volley of heavy turbolaser fire into the thick smattering of asteroids, while more accurate advanced mass drivers thundered and boomed as they unloaded massive kinetic projectiles at the floating mounds of rock. The first volley was soon followed up by dozens of others as more and more ships entered ranged and begun to fire, and even the Black Iron Tyrant finally moved into position and begun to unleash a barrage that dwarfed a good chunk of the fleet accompanying it.

The ships were also commanded to anchor once they were in range, and would only move forward as more and more of the asteroid field was cleared. Thankfully the enemy littered the fields with mines, so when one exploded it only aided the invades by clearing out more of the asteroids.

Objective: Safely land on Crina

Location: In space on board personal shuttle

Allies: All of the OS.

Since the Captain was patched in to the One Sith's comms, he overheard the discussion of gravity wells and minefields - wonderful. Luckily for Rovasus, his ship was much smaller than the fleet he decided to tag along with, making maneuverability a bit easier and quicker than that of a giant hull trying to make turns and squeeze by. These people didn't seem to desire to respond to his earlier broadcast, but it didn't matter much. Talk was cheap unless something of value was at stake. All alone on his shuttle, the Captain began going through a mental checklist of all the things he had done up until this point.

Kill a smuggler and hijack his ship, check.

Take his credits and credentials, check.

Acquire a cache of ammunition and guns from said smuggler's stash, check.

Rovasus had a busy day so far, and it was only getting more interesting by the minute. He figured he'd try to get in contact with the Sith forces once again; after all, they might not take kindly to strangers. Or they might have been very shy and let their subordinates do all the talking, but neither of those things were probably true. With one final attempt, the chrome-plated soldier let out an annoyed sigh and tapped into the communications network once again to see if anyone was interested in a little chatter. "You lot aren't much for conversation, are you? That or making friends isn't your cup of tea. I wish to speak with the individual leading your ground forces about a rendezvous. I have a plan in mind for the opposition."

A medium sized asteroid crossed the path of the Captain's shuttle, giving him a bit of a fright as he steered left to avoid even scratching the hull of his only personal ship. "Bloody rocks." It seemed that they were getting much closer to actually attempt a landing on the planet's surface now, yet they still needed to maintain a sense of caution if they didn't want to be blown up. Rovasus mainly just wanted to teach these Remnant folk that their efforts were laughable. To him it was as if silly children wanted to dress up like their parents and act just like them - an almost cute display of idolization. Such ridiculous dreams these people were having would be shattered by raw might and power.

The chrome-plated Captain would be painted crimson with the blood of liars and frauds soon enough.

Curiosity killed the Nexu. In this case, it could very well land Micah Draith Shamalain Talith into a heck of a lot of trouble. Oh he was going to get grounded.

Oh soooo grounded.

Micah was eleven standard years of age, not tall but well muscled, with a fine featured freckle face under a mass of dirty blond brown hair. A wince came across the pre-teen's visage as his fingers would tap at the sensor board -- which showed not one, but four other massively large fleets, too far away for the sensors to analyze, but thankfully far away enough to not vector in on their location. Really, the only reason the warning bells were not blasting away was because of the stealth like systems the ship had.

The Sicarius Class Stealth Yacht utilizes technology similar to that of the Incom Corporation StealthX and the Kuat Drive Yards Blackbird Stealth Fighters. The exact same technology went into making the Sicarius as did into those two ships, it was all simply sized up. The Sicarius was fitted Sensor Negators, two Gravitic Modulators, Photon Absorbers, and Thermal Dissipators, all of this technology was designed to make the Sicarius completely undetectable by sensor equipment. To finish this the stealth aspect the Sicarius was fashioned entirely out of Fiberplast, an incredibly strong material usually used in construction. This made the Sicarius slightly more expensive but when painted Matte Black made the ship almost entirely invisible to the naked eye in the background of space.

Right now, Micah was seriously cursing his curiosity at taking control of the Nav computer while the rest of his family slept in the comfy rooms out back. What had started out as a desire to attempt to counter the ridiculous so called Talith curse and fiddle with the nav coordinates brought him, unluckily enough, out of hyperspace onto a random system that his nav computer had no freaking clue what the name of it was.

It wasn't on any star map or record!!!!!!!!!

What. Is. This. MADNESS???

Okay, so maybe he had wanted to see if he could take them off of hyperspace and then bring them back IN -- but it was supposed to be in blank space!!!!

NOT THE MIDDLE OF SOME MILITARY CONFLICT!

Twin orbs as bright as the Tatooine suns gave a heavy wince and grimace.

"Aw crap."
