- Thick armour plates - Tough and resilient armour which protects the wearer from many damage types, the padded under layer also has the added benefit of reducing concussive force that transfers through the armour, leading to very high kinetic resistance
- Servo assistance - The majority of the servo assistance is geared at wear ability and making the armour less of a burden on the user. This means that for the most part the user can move around as easily as if they were wearing much lighter armour. There is minor improvements to strength from the servos, but only pushing the user up to the very top end of human capability rather than super human strength.
- Protection from the force - Enchanted and inscribed with Prayers to Ashla, the armour provides higher than average protection from force powers
- EMP/ion vulnerability - The armour relies on technology to make it more wearable and function at maximum efficiency. If ionised the armour becomes heavy and harder to use. The balanced strapping inside prevents it becoming completely incapacitated, but the suit puts a large amount of strain on the wearer while unpowered
- Poor sound suppression - The high quality of the armour, coupled with liners and well made seams prevent the armour from sounding like a full cacophony, but this is not stealthy armour by any stretch of the imagination.
- Protection from the force - this is a two edged sword, as beneficial powers such as healing powers will also face resistance from the armour, but it is a price worth paying to be protected from the darkness.
Blending Cutting edge technology from a variety of sources with age old armouring techniques, the Ashlan technicians have come up with an imposing and very functional suit of armour with which to equip its heavy Infantry.
The combination of leather strapping within the armour and electric servos makes the armour surprisingly wearable. The narrow view powers give an intimidating profile, but the advanced helmet package still allows the wearer full visibility over a wide spectrum.
Knowing that the main foe of the Ashlan Crusade are the Bogan, the Ashlans have ensured to have the armour blessed and inscribed with all manner of prayers, including a prayer from the head of the church Pietro Demici that adorns the pauldron of every suit. This makes the suit inherently resistant to the force.
The specifications were designed by Ashlan Naval technicians working with both the WorkForce and First United Astral Engineering to make sure the specifications are as high as possible and the armour produced efficiently along side the troops that need to wear it.
Power for the suit's systems are provided by a HAPU reactor encased in the armoured suit with only the heat exchangers shown. There are two heat exchangers, one behind each shoulder so if one is compromised the unit will not immediately over heat.
All together, this suit is a very tough and useful addition to the Ashlan Armory.
