"It's OK, I like berries more than I like cream anyway,"
and she tasted it, keeping her face absolutely neutral while she sampled it, as not to give anything away. She made Isidor wait a few moments before cracking a smile, "That's good, I like it lots, and don't worry about the cream, although I would love to hear about this incident"

She finished eating her pie and put her plate down before giving him one last thank you kiss and grabbing his had to drag him to the dance floor. Shouting to the other pirates she beckoned them all out as well, she loved to dance, and it seemed like the other pirates generally did as well, something about the freedom of their lifestyle translating into freedom of their bodies. Looking into the floor she saw her her techie breakdancing to some new music from coruscant, good to see her out of her lab for once.

"So once there is something with a bit more rhythm we can dance right? Until then you can watch me" she danced deliveratlet awkwardly to the strange beat of the electronic music, throwing in a bit of 'the robot' for good measure.

"Aye good man, We'll be needing three more Mind Erasers and three more shots of Meranzene Gold... And make sure to tell Captain Gemini that her party is awesome"

The barman smiled, "coming right up, and if you like to dance you should go tell her yourself" pointing as she danced through the party with Isidor in tow. "The captain loves a dance, particularly once she has got a few cocktails in her"

Messorem

Go then, there are other worlds than these.
header2.png

Standing by the bar, Messorem was lost in thought, simply sipping away at his drink, zoned out and simply enjoying the atmosphere present. Eye half lidded, Messorem was taken somewhat by surprise at Cass' sudden appearance, even moreso by her hug. Returning her hug more out of reflex than anything, he directed his attention to her, eventually drawling out.
"Oh, uh howdy Cass. It's rather tasty and yes, brought enough for a dozen plus folks." Picking up an extra, he holds it out to her. "Drunken peanut butter cups, taste even better than they sound."

As she eventually left him, Messorem leaned back against the bar, feeling a sudden and strong urge for a drink. Watching her walk away, he saw her greet Isidor in a similar way to him, though far more personally. Exhaling somewhat, the urge for that drink faded, but didn't vanish. It seemed she simply greeted her guests that way. That was reassuring, and allowed Messorem to simply grab an alcoholic drink, even as his gaze shifted across the room once more.

From his observations, it seemed many others greeted each in similar manners. Lovely, he hadn't expected that, and while he wasn't against it, there was certainly a new twist to it now. Finishing off his peanut butter cup, he placed the cup off to the side and held only the alcohol. Taking another sip through his straw, Messorem let his gaze travel from person to person. He watched with some amusement as Cass attempted to dance, his gaze crossed Jayce who was also at the bar. the man also watched as a strangely garbed Dispara walked off in a hurry, even as her former compatriot had remained there.

Messorem locked eyes with each of these people for but a moment or two. His biological eye remained impassive, even as his mechanical one whirred and scanned. There were plenty of interesting people about, and Messorem took in whatever information he could, even as his gaze continued on, from person to person.

The cream incident was rather convoluted, to be honest, but as he thought on it the more, it will be funnier to tell than embarrassing. He’ll be sure to tell Cass all the details. But first the pie tasting, he couldn’t read her expression, he was not sure if it were any good, he was getting nervous.

Moments pass and Cass smiled, she enjoyed his mixed berry pie and he himself relaxed. He should not have been apprehensive, but he was. He shook it off regardless. He exhaled quietly, he was not aware he was holding bated breath. Cass’s kisses were always the best.

Soon enough he along with Cass was headed to the dance floor, unlike last time, he wasn’t resistant to dancing. Sure, he is still bad at it but was more willing to relax and get dancing. Besides, what is the harm of it anyway? So, after watching Cass for a few seconds, he too began to dance, he had no form, no finesse. He is just dancing for the sake of it. As he continued, he relaxed more, and his movement became more fluid and less strained.

<“This can be a warmup before the main dance?”> He asks, while keeping some form to his own dance, he was copying her dancing.

Dispara cast a glance at her Dug crewman, who eyed her with expectation. "Go on, you can stay." She said curtly to Toolug. The female Dug toddled off to fraternize with Cass's crew. The Half-Sephi blonde stalked off, her boots striking the ship decking harder than it needed to, but stomping a bit as she walked help vent her displeasure. Likewise she stormed through the force field tunnel between the Kyber and the Boudoir. Tyra was awaiting the Captain and they both headed down to the engine room. The ship's Engineer, a Duros named Mano, stood with a frightened look in his big eyes, a spanner in his hand by the sub-light engines. He speedily launched into an explanation.

"The heat dissipators are malfunctioning, I have to divert four times the amount of power to keep them working." He stammered.

Dispara knew what that meant. The Witch's Boudoir had a triumvirate of systems that made it efficient and dangerous. The rail gun was the punch, the shield enhancer helped angle deflectors quickly, and the SLAM engine was the ace in the hole for a quick getaway. But they all sucked power like a fekin' mynock, so it was always a task to balance the ships precious power supply. Any additional draw on power would mean compromising one of these, or disabling the turbolaser batteries. Dispara scowled, the sniffed, then grunted.

"Keep working on the dissipaters to find a better workaround." She said, pointing to Mano. They would need power for defense and escape more than attack. The pirate witch turned to Tyra. "Take the rail gun offline, we'll have to rely on the turbolasers for now. Have Gunny recalibrate the targeting system of each, one at a time. If we have to count on them, I want them accurate." They had precious few compared to most ships they come across. "Then start looking for replacement dissipaters, start with Tortuga and Port Royal." She commanded. the crew darted off to comply, but Dispara grabbed Tyra by the arm. It was her new cybernetic arm, which replaced the one shot up at Yamarro. "When, and only when, those things are done, break out the Corellian ale for the crew. Why should I be having all the fun?" She allowed a small wry smile touch her lips before releasing the Twi'lek woman and heading back to the Midnight Kyber.

Returning to the club, Dispara paused just inside, drew a deep breath, and made her way to the bar. A second Cometduster was ordered. She looked around. The dust-snorter in the booth was there, alone now...where were his escorts? She gave the curious Messorem Messorem a respectful nod when his eyes locked on hers, noting the mechanical one. Then she saw Cass and Isidor on the dance floor. Another smile graced her lips. She wondered if that had anything to do with what Cass had been wanting to tell her. She would have to wait and see. The barman set down Dispara's drink, and she gave the now familiar Twi'lek a bigger smile. "Thanks." She offered. Then her gaze swung around, look for the towering Jocelyn.

After Dispara excused herself, Joycelyn sampled some of the fine desserts.

She did not eat much of each, but ate some of just about everything, and took time to really taste it. Most of it was good, and the pie was amazing, but one of the desserts made her nose wrinkle in displeasure. The flavour was easily washed away with a bite of rich chocolate cake and a mouthful of bubbly dessert wine.

The giant had then sampled the cocktail bar, seeing what interesting shots and drinks they had.

As before, her two companions were nearby but not directly involved in what she did. Instead, they made conversation with the other guests or lounged at the bar while keeping an eye out for her.

After that, she felt the need to move, and Cass was calling.

While the tall female companion leaned back on the bar with a red cocktail in her hand and observed, Joycelyn and the shorter (by comparison) male occupied the dance floor.

They didn't dance together as much as they danced near and to the same rhythm. Joycelyn enjoyed letting go, but her friend, on the other hand, was more reserved and honestly a little awkward. She left Isidor and Cass to their own dance, recognising the burgeoning connection, but she was not too shy to steal a glance and smirk. She also noted the voyeurism of Messorem, but she had not come there to hide. Instead, she made sure he got a good look.

While Joycelyn wasn't a spectacular dancer, but she had the force of personality to make up for it.

"The main dance?" She replied to Isidor seductively, "I have no idea what you mean?" And she looked him right in the face as the music changed to something with a more suitable Rhythm. She started dancing properly this time, swinging her hips and waving her arms having fun with a group of other pirates nearby.

She beckoned Isidor join her so she could dance more closely with him. "Don't you just love this life Izzie!" She downed a shot handed too her by another party gooer. "By day we sail and we plunder, and at night we do this? Why would anyone else live a different way?" She pulled him in, spotting Dispara To one side, finally she might get chance to speak to her privately.

"Right Izzie, I am going to leave you in the capable hands of Pix and Dex, they will take care of you." It was loud but she came close to him to speak to him. "I need to go and freshen up with my girl Dizzie, then I will come back, we will drink some more, dance some more," she came closer to his ear "then we can go back to my room and you can..." the last words were cut off by the loud music as she danced her way across the room to blonde woman.

"Dispara, I need to powder my nose, would you like to join me?" Her eyes told the woman yes she would, before she looked over her shoulder and saw who Dispara had her eye on. "Unless you have got your own thing going on? I would really hate to interrupt." She smiled happily at her friend.

As the warmth of the liquor spread through his form and tye euphoria of the spice empowered him, He was currently ten foot tall and bulletproof in his mind, Jayce stood and made his way out to the dance floor. A fresh beat blared through the speakers and just like the force he allowed it to flow freely within him making his limbs move rhythmically in unison.

By the end of the song the sith had a thin sheen of sweat glistening on his brow but he still wasnt done dancing, A new beat started and he dropped low to the floor and began break dancing like no one was watching... which is always the best way to dance.

As her second Cometduster slid over her tongue, the electric charge left a tingling sensation in it's wake. With her fresh drink, Dispara simply watched the dancing on the floor for a moment. Isidor and Cass were so clearly into each other, eliciting a smile from their pirate friend. Jocelyn had appeared, towering over the others, as well as the male companion. She moved pretty well, obviously well tuned to her own physique. The dust-snorter made his way out also, loose and free as he danced, then dropping to perform some strange but impressive moves. Things were cooking on the dance floor. Her gaze again swept to the one-eyed, or well, one-normal-eyed Mess, and then to Jocelyn's female companion just down the bar. She was a tall drink of jawa juice herself.

The pirate witch finally glanced at her Dug crewmate, Toolug, to see her drinking like a fish and telling some tall tale to some of the crew from the other ships. It was alright if the Dug gunner got a little smashed. The big rail gun on the Boudoir had to be taken down anyway. Dispara hoped her crew came through and followed her orders to deal with the heat disipators.

Movement from the corner of her eye caught Dispara's attention, and she turned to see Cass approach. The blonde half-Sephi smirked at her friend. "Just checking out the landscape." She teased, sliding from the stool, taking another swig of her drink then leaving it at the bar. She knew Cass had been wanting to talk privately for some time. "Lead the way to the lady's room." She laughed,"...as if there were any ladies aboard this ship!" Dispara followed Cass.

"Speak for yourself" Cass replied with a laugh, "Cass Gemini is nothing but an absolute lady" She grabbed her friend round the waist and led her too the bathroom. "How are you enjoying the party this evening? I think it has gone well, nice to not have anyone trashing the place this time right" Cass could just not let that go could she, she thought about it and wondered if she was just coming across as moody.

She took Dispara into the room and popped herself up onto the sink surface with her legs dangling down. She went about reapplying her lipstick, adjusting her hair and making sure she looked the part.

"So, what are your thoughts on our friend Isidor?" She finally spoke up to the other woman. "He and I had a bit of a moment I think, and yeah, it feels like there might be something there."

She thought about her next statement a few seconds, why did it sound like a confession? Was she so used to her lifestyle that acting any other way felt naughty. "We only went as far as kissing on out first date! How weird is that? its like he is special or something"

She expected her friend knew something was going on, why would she hide her feeling from anyone? Cass liked to live by the seat of her pants and always wore her heart on her sleeve, it was who she was and it had served her very well. She also wondered exactly how this was doing for her image as the terrifying pirate, scourge of free space. She smiled to herself, fear wasn't her tool anyway, just good old raw talent and charisma, who cared if people thought she was going weak at the knees over some sexy Ubese.

Dispara rolled her eyes and coughed a laugh. "Yes, better than the last time." She quipped, remembering the last party and how some old guy's niece went haywire with the Force and a lightsaber and attacked Cass' crew. To her friends credit, Cass didn't gut the both of them right there. Dispara would have had them tossed out of an airlock. Cass was the diplomatic one, who also cut them a deal with a Crusader big wig after hitting one of their convoys. Cass usually made the right call.

The half-Sephi followed Cass into the 'fresher. Then came the question that had been hanging out there, the one that confirmed Dispara's suspicions. Cass had the warm loins for Isidor. Dispara chuckled, glancing away before returning her ice blue gaze on the infamous pirate captain. "A gonk droid could see that 'something' is there, Cass." Dispara scoffed with a smirk. The orphaned half-breed was raised from the age of ten by a blood-sacrificing cult of backwater Force shamans. Ladies' room girl talk was not her specialty.

Dispara, still smiling, lingered a moment before continuing. She didn't know much about Cass, at least her past. How she learned the Force, or how to wield lightsabers had never come up. The black and red haired buccaneer beauty had a reputation as a daring, fierce pirate, one certainly her unusual talents helped to conjure. But Dispara had been privileged to see the other side of Cass Gemini. Fun, friendly, flirty. And now, romantic. She was like the older sister Dispara never had. The sister a girl once called Saraii Tommlan wanted.

"Wierd? I think, in all the weird things we've seen in the galaxy, that is one of the most 'right' things I've heard." Dispara said, the usual tinge of crazy gone from her tone. "We're carefree pirates, baby, if you think there is something special about that Ubese, keep going and find out." She said, patting Cass on the knee.

Dispara looked in the mirror as Cass touched up her look. The shaman-raised pirate didn't have on any make up, or fixed hair, though she fluffed her flaxen mane with her hands to get some body to it. Her attention went again to Cass. She was a gorgeous girl, there was no way Isidor wasn't into her. "So," the blonde pirate witch continued, "... you kissed him? What does he look like without the breath mask?"

His cheeks burned they would be like red apples under his helmet. It was more bashful than anything, but he didn't respond as Cass left before he could, so he picked his way to the bar to grab a drink or two, four. He didn't even have to ask as it was known what he liked.

He enjoyed a good drink. Also, his present had integrated into his ship's systems perfectly and will be used to its fullest when they go on another raid. He still needed to get Cass something of her very own. Isidor didn't know exactly what yet.

Now, he was on his 3rd drink and he was not even fuzzy yet but dancing became easier to do and enjoy. Which was a good thing as several Pirates started a conga line, a swaying disorganised line mind you. But it was fun, and he needed to loosen up and not be so, well, tightly wound. Which was good as he was grabbed into the Conga, no one resists the line, well that's what Nikita said.

They barely missed the tables as they Conga'ed around gathering more people into the dance. Isidor didn't seem to mind being led around in a dance so out there. But his mind was always on Cass even as he drank his 4th bottle. His eccentric style was certainly a draw it seemed

Ah yes, the conga line!

No amount of uncoordinated dancing could stop the inevitable tide that was the formation of a conga line, certainly not when people were at this level of intoxication. The train swept up anyone dislodged and moving, and would plough through or past even the most flailing dance, consuming all in its path.

Joycelyn too was caught in its web, behind Isidor, and she was forced to bend slightly and hold on to his shoulders rather than the customary hands on the hips. Her friend fell in line behind her, seeming to enjoy himself, but also keeping a watchful eye on his captain's back. They lasted a few rounds, but after some time, even she desired a break.

Laughing, she made her way to the bar, squeezed two chairs together, and sat down for a breather.

"I told you they would be fun."

The slender vahla who had waited at the bar commented as she ordered three short glasses of Jet Juice with a gesture of her hand to go in addition to the drink she was already nursing. Joycelyn and the vahla companion took one each.

"Fun yes, but I have yet to see them in action." She followed the vahla's eyes to their friend on the dance-floor and smirked "You can go join him, I will be fine."

The willowy vahla smirked back and winked, before bouncing away from the bar with a subdued squeal before running over to their bearded friend, leaving Joycelyn to finish the third glass of jet juice. The pair suited this lifestyle, but it was to be expected. One was soldier and the other was literally a born spacer.

Now, not unlike Messorem, Joycelyn was content to watch -At least for a bit.

Cass laughed, this was fun, she didn't keep many actual friends that should could just have a joke with, the girls on her crew were awesome, but there was always that little edge that she was their captain, not that it usually stopped her gossiping and joking with them all the time. But here was a fun woman that had no reason to gossip other than the fact that she was interested.

"So, he has bright green eyes and fairly dark skin, it is very handsome, I mean, he is very handsome," she giggled, "between us it was hard not to go further, I plan on tonight though, if he wants too, and I get the feeling he really wants to." Cass turned and pulled her hair up slightly into a similar shape the Isidor was wearing under his helmet. "His hair is long and he kind of had his hair up in a bun like this, but it was pretty loose. I am hoping he lets it down properly for me at some point." she let her hair cascade back down her shoulders. "If you ever run into someone you like that doesnt breath your air, there things are a gift from Ashla!" and she held up a small foil pack containing Rebreather lozenges "I can pop one in my mouth, drop the oxygen in the room so its safe for Izzie and nobody needs a face mask, they make me a little dizzy for a few minutes, but it passes."

She paused and wondered about her beautiful friend and her own love life, she knew she had eyes for Joycelyn Zambrano Joycelyn Zambrano , the Epicantrix was a striking woman herself. "I think you should try it on with Joyce, maybe share a few drinks," she slipped her a keycard "third door on the left, usually keep it locked for emergencies, but it is a fully laid out guest bedroom. Just in case you need it." and she winked before planting a friendly kiss on both of her friends cheeks.

She would stay and chat for a little longer, but she dreaded to think what her girls were doing with Isidor right now

After the conversation with Dispara

Cass walked back to the party to catch Isidor mid conga line, what on earth had happened to the cold, uptight but devilishly handsome Ubese she had first met. A big grin of contentment came across her face. He hadn't spotted her yet, she might try something a little cheeky. Bringing up a command holo in front of her, she accessed the on board security cameras and and had them film Isidor for a few seconds. She wanted to capture this, so whether he believed himself coming out of his Crysalis entirely was irrelevant. She saved the file under Izzie-butterfly-party and locked it securely. As much as he was open with her, he didn't want to think he couldn't act like this in front of people without it being shared, that would form part of their own personal relationship memories, if that was what he wanted.

After she watched a moment, and also helped herself to another slice of cake, lest we forget it is a cake party, she discretely pushed herself into the conga line behind Isidor, she was careful to make sure he didn't immediately notice who was behind him in the line, she would let her hands wander a little bit further round him until she was practically hugging him from behind and would give him the cheekiest smile when she finally noticed her wander arms.

This party was fun, and she could see her entire crew getting in to the swing of it, even trying to drag the more reluctant pirates on to the floor. Her hacker Dex seemed to have challenged the pirate Jayce Pryde Jayce Pryde to a friendly dance off after seeing him breakdance, that could be fun, a small circle had cleared around them. Dex could do with letting her hair down, she was a fun and pretty girl, but spend too much time in her quarters up to her arms in computer parts. She could probably do with a man she laughed to herself.

Isidor did come off as being uptight and cold, he is usually but Cass cracked his shell and brought out the fun-loving side he forgot he had or lost by the time he had joined the Coalition. What he needed was someone to make him remember the fun and to let his hair down. He loved Cass for it. He couldn't connect well with others until recently.

Back at the dance floor, everyone was dancing the night away, but as the Conga line lengthened, the more space they took up, not that they cared, they simply broke up into smaller lines. Isidor stayed with the one he joined, as it seemed to be more manageable, the other two lines disintegrated as the participants dispersed to take up the tables nearby.

Nikita and Rochel were doing a very strange dance, he knew he saw it once before, but he could not put his fingers on it. Oh well, whatever it was it attracted a crowd of curious onlookers. Many began to copy them.

They were having a great time, of course, they are, parties on the Kyber are the best parties. They may be Pirates but they need some time to relax and let down their hair, well, those who have any. But right now he didn't care for technicalities. He wanted to party and drink. He was lost in the party that he failed to notice Cass slip in the Conga, nor did he notice her hug from behind.

Slowly he realised he was being hugged, it took less time to realise who it was, Cass had returned from where she went off to. He never noticed up until now, which he was glad, as her hug was a very pleasant surprise and one he didn't want to end. But the Conga finally separated, leaving them both alone.
