STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES/QUIRKS:
Alexandra is stubborn, determined, and driven to succeed. She could be called an overachiever and is a risk-taker, especially if she thinks it will make a difference in the outcome. The lady fighter jockey tends to chew or pull on her lower lip when nervous or contemplating something serious.

The brandy-eyed brunette is playful, yet knows when to be serious. She uses humor to help decompress from stressful situations, and can be overheard frequently bantering with droids as Alex is well versed in "Droid Speak".

Alleycat is addicted to caffeine and has quite a sweet tooth. Stimcaf with pastries is a favorite of hers along with anything chocolate. Hint, hint. The Taanabian dislikes seafood with a passion. Meat and potatoes are more to her simple farm girl taste along with whiskey; Corellian, if it's available.

Neat and organized is the way Russo likes things. Alex could be called a neat freak, though she is really only obsessive/compulsive about the maintenance of her ship and tools. It really rubs her the wrong way if someone borrows her tools without asking and returns them all gunked up.

MAIN CHARACTER FLAW: Is technically an excellent pilot and a solid leader, but has had two squadrons shot out from under her leaving Russo gun-shy in leading another squadron or being responsible for anyone else again. "Survivor's Guilt" weighs heavily upon her soul. They say cats have nine lives…. If true, Alleycat would be on number three by then.

APPEARANCE:
The Taanab beauty has long, sun-kissed brown hair with a bit of wave to it and brandy-colored brown eyes with a creamy white complexion. She stands tall at 5'8" and has a slender, athletic build weighing in at 125 pounds. Alex has a scar on her lower right abdomen from an appendectomy and a small red rose tattoo on the top of her right shoulder blade. When Alex isn't needing to don a flight suit, formal Jedi robes, or jumpsuit, she wears spacer-style clothes.

BIOGRAPHY:
Alexandra Kay Russo was born on the agricultural planet of Taanab and was raised on a hop farm in the beautiful and bountiful Landau Valley near the capital city of Pandath. Growing up on a farm was hard work which Alex learned a strong work ethic early on in life.

Taanab had come away from the previous galactic wars and plague relatively untouched with a thriving Ag industry paving the way for economic success for the planet and sector. Unfortunately, a notorious pirate gang in the sector wanted in on their prosperity and did seasonal raids during harvest time. Without much of a planetary defense force at the time, the farmers had little to stop them. During one of these raids, the pirates destroyed her family's farm, taking all the 'liquid gold' as the hops were called, and killing her family in the process. Alexandra was the only family member to survive the raid.

With no place to live and no other family alive, the young teenager was forced to move to the city and fend for herself. One of the odd jobs she'd found was as a janitor cleaning the hangars after hours at the Pandath Spaceport. A war veteran kept a private hangar there and noticed Alex's fascination with an old starfighter of his he was refitting for a crop-dusting business he was starting up. The Taanab native befriended her, offering to teach her about aeronautical mechanics and how to fly in exchange for working as a crop duster for him. The older pilot often shared with her his daring exploits during his tour of duty, which lit a fire in her belly to become a starfighter pilot herself. On the day of her 18th birthday, Alex applied to the Naval Academy and was accepted into the Flight School.

Upon finishing her academy training, the rookie Flight Officer was stationed in the outer reaches of Republic space. All noob pilots started out there on patrol. Quickly though, Alleycat, the callsign given to Alex by her classmates at the academy because of her incessant need to scrounge around for caf everywhere they went, made her way coreward as she moved up the military career ladder, proving herself both in and out of the cockpit through her dedicated sense of duty, flying skills, and leadership ability.

During a routine sector patrol, things went terribly wrong for the small battle group that the Flight Commander's squadron was attached to. Alleycat's entire squadron was decimated along with the capital ship Inquisitor and its crew as the One Sith made their move toward the Republic's capital world. She was rescued when a private salvage crew came to collect their bounty in the debris field after the battle was over. They found Alex floating in the wreckage barely alive with mere moments of oxygen left in her still intact flight suit as Alex had gone EV just before her starfighter got vaped. The crew dropped the Commander off at the next star system anonymously and took her dog tags so Russo's identity was not known while the starfighter pilot lingered in a coma for several months.

Thinking everyone she ever cared for was dead yet again especially one in particular when she woke up, Alex returned to her homeworld after recuperating sullen and bitter to rejoin her old mentor, Gus Ketch, offering her services as a now seasoned pilot and mechanic for his crop-dusting business.

A year later, former Navy Captain Damon Riggs followed a rumor that she was still alive and found the feisty brunette on Taanab; they both suffered from PTSD and survivor's guilt. It took her mentor on his deathbed to finally make the two come to terms with the past and move on to the future to begin living again.

Riggs and Russo tried smuggling for a while, but financially it was tough. When word came that a group was getting together to go up against the Sith and defend those planets that wanted to remain free, they went to Sullust and signed up with the ragtag Galactic Alliance, and also aided the Resistance to take on the First Order. Sadly, bad tension between the two finally drove a wedge into their relationship and they went their separate ways.

Alleycat took the position of Rogue Leader when it became available and was offered to her. After doing a storied tenure as the CO of the Alliance's elite squadron, Russo stepped down; tired of all the red tape and BS when all she wanted to do was fly.

It didn't take long though for a job offer as a test pilot from Incom to reach her, which of course Alleycat took in a heartbeat. Though it was only on an 'as-needed basis, so the mechanically-inclined pilot became a freelancer to keep her busy and credits rolling in.

While with the GA, Alexandra met Jedi Master Kahne Porte. They became fast friends, then long-distance lovers as duty came first for both; meeting whenever time and location allowed. Over that time their relationship bloomed to be much more and Kahne proposed, though the galaxy would not stop still long enough to allow them to get married as duty was the mistress that kept them apart. This is also around the time when Alex found out she was pregnant. She and Kahne were to be parents!

After returning to her homeworld and setting up residency again once officially retired from the GA military, Alexandra started to dabble in local politics. By this time, she was well into her pregnancy. Alex was instrumental in lobbying for the Taanabian government to aid the Refugee Relief Movement along with Alderaan, which lead to the Governor of Taanab offering the former Rogue, and a homegrown hero in many of the People's eyes, an official ambassadorship.

A few months later, Alexandra and Kahne welcomed twins into their lives - a boy and a girl, Aiden and Addison. Soon after the two lovers were finally married in a traditional ceremony on Taanab, the Master Jedi was recalled by the NJO to Lothal shortly after... It was just before the Endgame plan to bring down the Galactic Alliance from within was played out in full by the interim Grandmaster, who was secretly a Sith Lord. An organized attack of the GA-held worlds by the Sith Empire, the First Order, and the Mandalorian Empire along with other minions brought the faction to its knees.

The GA surviving members fled to the safety of the Outer Rim Coalition territory to form what would become the Alliance-in-Exile. Alex and the two children left Taanab as it was in ME territory and went to a pre-arranged safe house in the far southern reaches of the Outer Rim. Margarite and Sebastian Sowyer, the Porte children's godparents, opted to go with them and care for Aiden and Addison so that Alex could go looking for Kahne as it was unknown if the Master Jedi had survived the Battle of Lothal.

It also was decided after Kahne and Alexandra were finally reunited on D'Qar, where he had joined the rest of the Shattered Jedi, that it was time for her to be trained in the Jedi Arts. Not only would the Porte's be husband and wife, but now master and apprentice as well.

Porte Twins - Age 7

As years passed, the twin's Force Sensitivity manifested itself more boldly showing signs Addison and Aiden would need to start training sooner rather than later. Kahne and Alex decided it was time to introduce them to the Jedi arts full-time in a structured environment. The Porte's moved their family from Ceto where they had been living in exile ever since the GA's collapse to Silver Rest on Kashyyyk where the Silver Jedi Order had a temple. It was the best of both worlds. The children could receive proper training while Kahne could work from there with the Jedi Alliance he was a part of. However, best-laid plans hardly go accordingly.

Whether it was a mid-life crisis or just the call of the Force, Kahne and his former master, Tiberias Jinn, set out on a personal quest together instead. How long he would be absent from his family was unknown, though Alex was hopeful it wouldn't be too long. In the meantime as a single parent it would seem, she decided to take the children to the new Svivren Jedi Enclave that was smaller and tucked away in the Outer Rim believing it would serve the three remaining Porte's better as they each continued to grow in the Force - two little younglings and an old padawan. The Jedi Enclave served as their family home for several years though, with all things going the way they do in the galaxy, another change up was inevitable.

Jedi Master Kahne Porte - Soulmate

When the Outer Rim Planets Alliance was dissolved, the Porte's left Svivren and relocated back to the Silver Jedi's temple on Kashyyyk. Before the move to Silver Rest, Kahne knighted Alex as she had just finished her Jedi trials. Now the thirty-something would begin her tenure as a Jedi Knight - not an easy task as most Jedi of her rank are nearly a decade younger and don't have family obligations either to complicate the matter. But, the stubborn Taanabian is determined she can have it all!

After some time living amongst the Silver Jedi, the Portes decided to move the family yet once again. This time the Force-sensitive twins, older younglings by now, would be placed in the direct care of the Jedi Enclave on Kattada for their continued training and education in the Jedi Arts while Kahne and Alexandra would serve with the Galactic Alliance and New Jedi Order - circling back to their humble beginnings.
