Structure/Nexus Name: The Jedi Enclave of Svivren.
Nexus Alignment: Lightside.
Size: Medium.
Strength: Moderate.
Classification: Jedi Academy.
Location: Svivren, Outer Rim Territories.
Affiliation:

Accessibility: The Jedi Enclave of Svivren is surrounded by vast plains of forestry and flora; Svivren well noted for its vibrancy of life, swells around this location with the Force in that all things grow beyond the reach of societies care; the overgrowth is wild and difficult to traverse on foot, few paths have been cut through the woodlands by the Jedi that reside here, though this enclave is best approached from the sky via small craft be it starfighter or private transport. This location is not chartered to the public, rather all information about its whereabouts is kept securely stored upon The Jedi Comport.

Nexus Effects:
The Presence of the Lightside of the Force here is a wellspring of peace for the Jedi who seek to train within the Enclave of Svivren. Through the aid of the Nexus, Jedi are capable of drawing upon and attuning themselves to the Force with greater ease, as well as serving as a deterrent against Darkside Users that might seek to plague the Jedi Establishment. Notable items that have been improved on but not limited to:

Saturated within the presence of the Lightside of the Force, the longer the duration of time spent here within the Enclave of Svivren, the greater the ease of which a Jedi or Lightside Practitioner may find drawing upon the Force for training and practice. Empowering one's connection to the Force, this Nexus is especially helpful in teaching newer students how to condition themselves to the feel and flow of Force Practice, making the Enclave a prime choice for the studying of more intensive practices such as Alchaka and Telepathic abilities. As a result of this however, younger inexperienced Jedi Practitioners may struggle to adapt to the outside world and greater Galaxy where the aid of the Nexus is no longer present.

Serving as a temporary retreat for some, the Nexus surrounding the Svivren Enclave carries a calming and cleansing aura that assists in medical practices such as treating dark-side corruption or residual darkness as a result of encounters with Dark Side Practitioners. The mind, when attuned and connected with the nexus through meditation can be eased into a state of relaxation where Jedi are able to find peace in the harmonic flow of energies around them. An asset to all Jedi following a long and intense mission out in the field.

Description:
In the years since the Je’daii Order’s use of the Enclave, the facility has gradually been expanded and well maintained through Caedyn’s connection to House Arenais and the funds therefore available to him.

The Enclave has been renovated, not once but twice and still boasts a fine example of modern day technologies and decor. The exterior tone of the structures appearance has been kept to earthly tones in order to make the most out of it's forest surroundings.

Inside of the Enclave, the walls and floors have been made of polished stones the likes of marble among others; Neutral tones, encourage the interior’s feeling of tranquility and comfort as well as the returning decor of the Jedi Order’s memorabilia to once more symbolize the facilities returning and original purpose, from so long ago.

The Exterior of the Enclave has been set up with a
Infra-red Motion Sensor Array to detect any incoming personnel not expected by those of the Order. This system will trigger an alert directly to the Council Chambers as well as those of authorized and prominent position's personal comm-links.

To add to this motion sensor equipment, the
Security Maintainence Droids patrol the forest for any suspicious activity, armed with light blasters locked to stun, they are the first defense and back up for any who are able to get beyond the sensor array undetected.

Finally, as an added and well known method of the Jedi Order used to keep their students and personnel safe, the return of the
Temple Guard frequent both the inside and outside of the facilities grounds in order to maintain the safety and comfort of personnel living within.

The Force Enclave is shrouded within the power of the Force due to a former battle that saw countless lives lost both Jedi and Sith alike. As a result, the Force here is far easier to draw upon given that the veil was scarred so.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FACILITIES:

As the primary route for arrival and departures, the Temple Hangar is adequate, able to play host to a variety of smaller vessels (Starfighters, Yachts, Freighters, Personnel Carriers and Light Corvettes). Always on stand-by for new arrivals, the engineering and maintenance crews are hard at work here to ensure all vessels are in prime shape, fit for active service.

RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS:

  • Jedi Knights Private Quarters.
Sharing the same floor as the Residential Quarters for all Masters of the Jedi Order, these rooms are private for individual use. Personal Quarters consist of the basic necessities for all Jedi Knights; from bedding to personal access to the Jedi Archives via private terminals, here is where a Knight of the Order might find suitable peace and quiet to continue their studies or to prepare for an up and coming mission.
  • Jedi Masters Private Quarters.
Similar to that of the Knights Quarters, Jedi Masters however are given larger rooms with a little more choice/preference in the furniture and decor. Having ascended to the rank of Jedi Master, they are graced with the quarters fit for such a time honored position within the Order.
  • Faculty Lounge & Recreational Area.
The Public Mess Hall/Cafeteria and adjacent room meant for socializing and light activities such as a friendly game of Pazaak with one's peers to let off steam. There are a number of Game tables, couches and holo-visions set up for recreational use. After all, even Jedi need a break from the stress and dangers of the Galaxy once in a while. This area is often frequented by Jedi Padawan and younger students.
  • Student Shared Quarters.
The Residential Hub for all students of the Jedi Order, from young Hopefuls & Initiates, to Jedi Padawan and Adepts nearing their trials. These rooms are many in number and rather than single beds as their higher ranking peers receive, they consist of Bunks and are rooms shared in order to encourage strong bonds between fellow trainees building on team-work and support of one another during their years of education and training.
It is often said that "Knowledge is power" and within the Jedi Archives, there is more than enough to go around. The Archives here are large and filled with content of all varieties, data-chips and holo-videos with information captured across the holo-net from all corners of the Galaxy and centralized by the Jedi Academy Network for the education of all Jedi that seek to further their experience and insight into the Galaxy and into the Force. There is so much to be found here in these rooms, and very few subjects are restricted to Jedi Students; those that are, are likely so for the purpose of protecting students from subjects they are not yet ready for (The way of the Dark Side).

EDUCATION FACILITIES:

Established upon a world flourishing in all kinds of life and living creatures, the Science and hydroponics facilities hold some of the finer technological works, ready for the study of various sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc), as well as the chance for the Jedi to create and harvest their own vegetation, fruit and other goods that both save on credits but too encourage a healthy diet and a place for those with an interest in the Agri-corps to come, learn and fill out their down time in the days.
Science of a different sort, here is the heart of information technology. The Artisan Wing and alternate facilities for the Engineering staff from down within the Hangar to come and use for training purposes. Jedi are offered various different avenues to experience ways that technology can bolster the Order, helping to protect and serve the Galaxy, that we might otherwise take for granted. It is here that they are able to create their personal lightsabers or learn to work upon Starships, helping to secure safe transit for others with good reliable workmanship. Fighter pilots for example, can learn to maintain their own fighters in the case that they may be downed during a mission and left to find their own means of escape. If it involves a computer, you can bet that any answers you seek may be found on this floor!
Used for official meetings called for by the Jedi Council, or otherwise important events such as the Knighting of Jedi Students as well as Knights ascending to the rank of Jedi Master. Here in this great hall, there is room for all personnel within the Temple to join one another in unity, in the interests of the Jedi Order and of the Galaxy's future.

TRAINING FACILITIES:

A vast in-door arena lined with Holographic emitters across the roof and walls meant to manipulate the surrounding area to create an alternative simulation, making it feel as though the persons using the environment are somewhere else entirely. The Holographic Projection Grid is capable of simulating all number of known species and persons of legend, feeding from the Archive Data-base and programmed by skilled Jedi Artisans to create simulations meant for the education and training of Jedi personnel. It is also common, however, for Jedi Knights and Masters to use the arena for recreational use, such as taking a brief trip to other "worlds or tropical locations". A dream or fantasy that for the briefest of moments, may seem like a reality if one has the creativity and imagination for it.
A favorite of many a Jedi Guardian, these facilities are prepared for the dueling and sparring competitions between Jedi Students and Mentors both. Taught in all seven forms of lightsaber combat, the Jedi often use their peers to help build their skillset, fending off against one another on "training settings" that ensures they don't physically injure their friends and sparring partners, aside from a few scrapes and bruises. On this floor there are eight large Dojo's, one massive arena for group activities and three classrooms for theoretical learning.
Though it may not always be the weapon of choice for a Jedi, that does not take away from the fact that all Jedi are likely to have a blaster pointed at them sooner or later, and must learn how to properly defend themselves and make use of such aggressive tools in the case that they are forced to use one out in active duty. Some Jedi are known to carry a blaster on their person, while others use these rooms to also perfect their form in Soresu, the third form of lightsaber combat and best served in deflecting blaster fire. There is an extensive variety of blasters here, however all of them have been modified to ensure that they cannot cause fatal injuries. A means of protecting and discouraging Jedi from favoring blasters too much so, over the use of their lightsabers.

MEDICAL & EMERGENCY FACILITIES:

Manned by a trio of medical droids and Jedi healers, this is the place of medical studies and treatment for all kinds of injuries caused by either training or received out in the field during active duty. Life is something cherished by all Jedi, and the study of medicine and healing aren't solely focused on the force but also taught using the knowledge gained over decades of sentient history, taking training from numerous worlds, collected and stored within the archives that the Jedi here may be prepared to treat any sort of wound and any sort of patient that may be forced to rely upon their expertise.
Monitored by Jedi Knights and Masters who have volunteered to ensure the Jedi Temple remains secure and that their students are well looked after, the security tower serves as a liaison between the traffic control tower and the Jedi Council. Should there be a security breach or an imminent attack, they are the first to know and alert the rest of the Temple as well as get word out to other Jedi branches throughout the known regions in the case that they might not be the sole target. From there, they are responsible for organizing the Temple's defense and seeing to the evacuation of all younglings and students, if such a time should ever befall them.
It's an unfortunate fact that not everyone in the Galaxy appreciates a peaceful life, nor the personal rights of others. The Detention block here is built in order to contain temporary prisoners for later extraction to more capable hands such as the policing force for which their crimes were committed. These cells however have been specifically crafted with other Force Users in mind, not only due to the Sith, but also rogue elements that choose to take matters into their own hands at the expense of others. Within these cells, once the entrance has been sealed by ray shields, the prisoners connection to the force is cut off from the outside world, leaving them temporarily unable to call upon it in an attempt to escape or harm their captors.

The Force Enclave of Svivren once belonged to the Jedi Order of the Galactic Republic far back within the early days of the rise of the One Sith Empire, there it served as one of the many branches of Jedi spread out away from the Core-Worlds to enable members of the Order to reach out to the southern territories of the navigational charts.

Like many of the Orders smaller branches, this Enclave was a quiet location of study and service to the Force. Jedi of all ages would be brought here to live out their years in training under mentors and ranking Jedi Knights, learning the ways of the Force, the light-side and then seeking to aid those in need, be it large or small tasks in any regard that might bring warmth and reprieve to the on-going struggles of the common people.

With the One Sith Empire's rise to power however came the calling for all branches of Jedi to assist in the defense of worlds being pulled into its regime of Darkness. Many of Svivren's Knights answering the call and by result leaving Svivren vulnerable. With the balance of power having shifted within the Enclave, the Sith dealt a decisive blow, invading the establishment of Jedi and wiping it out.

The survivors of this onslaught were numbered in the single digits, those that returned in response to calls of distress were met with those of the Sith who had stayed behind to ensure absolute victory. Among these Jedi to return, Veiere Arenais turned the aggression back upon the remnants of the Empire, the Jedi letting go of their restraints in the light and striking the Sith down, the loss of so many lives leaving upon the site a wound in the veil of the Force where it's power can be drawn from much easier than anywhere else upon Svivren.

For years since the attack, the Enclave was left in ruins; The wild growth of Svivren overtaking the remains and keeping the place hidden from all but the most adventurous of salvager’s and wanderers. It wasn't until two decades later that Veiere Arenais would return here to meet the young yet enlightened Asha Hex and soon be introduced to her following that was the Je'daii Order. An organization of Force Users that carried a great deal of similarity to his own beliefs and perceptions of the Force.

This meeting would soon lead to his voluntary support of the Je'daii Order; that of which would see this Enclave returned to its former stature and dedicated then to their future.

cae_breaker_by_kioxes-dc8yrxo.png

For many years, the Enclave was put to good use for the Je’daii Order guided by [member=Asha Hex] and later under the care of her Apprentice [member=Caedyn Arenais] whom she groomed to become the new Steward of the facility, acting as carer and facilitator for all training and requirements, both of property and personnel needs. The World of Svivren was but one of numerous locations which the Je’daii traveled to and from, in their journey for enlightenment.

Much to Caedyn’s surprise and difficulty in understanding, the Je’daii Order chose to abandon these locations in favor of a more mobile and adventurous lifestyle using a Praxeum Vessel which was generously given to them from [member=Veiere Arenais]. With this vast space faring vessel alongside smaller personally owned craft, they dubbed their new means of transport “
The Silent Fleet” and to this very day Caedyn hasn’t received in further contact from his Mentor nor his former people.

Having moved to join the Jedi and choosing to further his training in the Force following the Jedi Path more inherently focused upon the practices of Ashla (The Light), It was Caedyn’s decision to re-purpose the Enclave once more for what the facility was originally intended for: the training and livelihood of the Jedi. Given his father’s personal history and attachment to the world he grew up on, as well as the powerful presence of the Force which surrounded the Enclave, it felt amiss to leave the establishment unmanned, where from this location there could be more potential aid to the southern regions of the Galactic Map, from those who walked the Jedi Path.

Hey there! This is a wonderful sub :) Just two things;

The Force Enclave is shrouded within the power of the Force due to a former battle that saw countless lives lost both Jedi and Sith alike. As a result, the Force here is far easier to draw upon given that the veil was scarred so.
You've chosen to add a Force Nexus in this Generic Structure template, and the Force Nexus doesn't link to a Force Nexus submission.

So there are two things that can be done:

1. You could add a separate Force Nexus sub, and link to it from this sub.
2. You could add the parts of the Force Nexus sub and paste it into this submission.

You can find the Force Nexus template here.

Another thing that I would ask of you is to please remove the 'past history' from the spoiler. Ideally, only images would go into spoilers on a submission. You can still seperate it into two chapters though!

Once you've decide which option you rather go for and there's either a Force Nexus submission to review or a re-review for this one, please tag me to let me know :)

If you require any assistance at all, I'm always here to help ♥

Hi there [member="Scherezade deWinter"].

I've made the edit in regards to the history of the submission.

As far as the Force Nexus goes, I'm guessing it won't make any difference to mention the fact the Nexus was approved in the original submission, right?

[member="Caedyn Arenais"] Thanks for the edit :)

It's not as much of a matter of approval as it is a matter of bringing this up to the current template standards, which would include the Force Nexus and how we incorporate it into submissions int he current Codex version. For all intents and purposes, the original Nexus is already approved and there is absolutely no issue with that specific regard :) Just need an edit into this renewed version.

Ah okay! Thanks for clarifying that for me, I didn't think of it like that lol.

I'll get around to the edits over the next few days, if that's okay!

Apologies, Scher! I've been terribly busy.

Could you please archive this, and I'll continue it when I'm in the position and mindframe to do so.

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for your patience. This is a very well detailed submission that has some excellent call outs to the board's lore. That said, I do have a few suggestions that I think will help to clarify this a bit more.

With regard to the Force Nexus, I feel like the description might benefit from some further elaboration. Of particular note, Center of Being is listed by Wookieepedia as being a lightsaber stance. Now, that stance is also used for meditation, but it's unclear to me how a lightsaber stance could be a Nexus effect. Perhaps a statement about how the Nexus relates to forms of Force-based meditation, to include Center of Being? What about Floating Meditation or Alchaka?

In the same vein as the above suggestion, is the effect of Force Enlightenment something instantaneous as a result of being in the Nexus? Is it an effect that increases gradually with exposure? How quickly does it fade upon departing the Nexus?

I believe this is a reflection of the template being updated since your original submission, but this template field doesn't use 'Average' as part of the scale. Consistent with current criteria, please choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum. I would recommend Medium as complimentary to what you have.

Those are my thoughts, I look forward to reading yours in return. Please tag me when you have had an opportunity to complete your edits.

Additional changes:
Changed Center of Being to Alchaka.

Added the following to Force Nexus Description:

Amended the Security Rating to: Medium.

Please let me know if there's anything further, thanks :)

Overall, this is a lovely submission. Very detailed, well-thought out, and a perfect setting for some excellent LS stories.

I do need to briefly ask about the Force Nexus, however, because some of the wording is a little unclear. The paragraph that you added helps to explain what you're shooting for but something like "Alchaka" is described with the following on the wookie: "the Alchaka meditations were a highly personalized meditative technique".

This is listed as a "Side Effect" from the Force Nexus, but, it seems that the side effects are really an enhanced capacity or affinity for improved meditation. Perhaps Alchaka is what is encouraged by the Jedi at the site but the Force Nexus wouldn't typically be so specific. How would it know to teach or impose a specific ritual?

Encouraging certain Force Powers like "Altus Sopor" makes sense, but other meditative techniques, or stances, a little less so. Not without outside intervention to point learners in that direction. I really think that it's the phrase "Possible side effects are as follows" that is throwing me off. You could change it to "Notable items that have been improved on but not limited to" or something of that nature to shore it up. Perhaps make it clear that it isn't only limited to that? It's s mall change, but, it would allow you to keep what you're looking for and also open up the opportunity for members to expand on other meditative techniques in their RP.

Please take a look when you have a moment. As always, if you need help, or have questions feel free to tag and ask.

I have removed Alchaka and changed the phrase to "Notable items that have been improved on but not limited to", as suggested.
