Krux pivoted in the pilot's chair as she entered the bridge, smiling as she mentioned how the two of them used to work for the Primeval, "I still remember the day I met you on Lorrd...I was such a brash guy, just trying to impress Pyrrhus' friend." 'Friend' was a loose term. Krux knew what the two of them used to be, he just liked to not think about it. It still made him cringe thinking about it. "And you've changed so much, as I have."

She sat beside him and he couldn't help but nod at her remark about how well her training was going, "I can feel it. Your eyes are a much more natural color now, you have color in your skin, your hair is much less black and more chesnut. You were always beautiful to me, Setzi, but now you just look and feel so much more...human. I love it." he smiled, noticing how she started to blush and cocked a brow, wondering what was going on in that head of hers.

"You know what I think" he winked, turning back to face the front, "So, there's all of this debris, and surely there's plenty to salvage on the surface. Not a lot of...Jedi relics, but there sure will be lightsaber parts to salvage around the Sith Temple ruins. Though, they will be attuned to the Dark Side, and will require more meditation to try and fix, and I know how much you loathe meditation." he turned and faced her again, "Where do you wanna go, love?"

Blue speckles held a bit of white around the edges. Nails were digging into the flight controls as Makai had taken control of the Siren's Song. It was exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. He went to move the controls a little starboard but was quickly stopped.

"Nope, straight ahead. We're going to be suiting up and joining the salvage crews."

"Really? In space? How will I walk?"

"Magnetic boots. We'll be visiting the crews inside. Pulling wires for precious metal, electronic systems, and whatever else isn't nailed down. Outside we have workers collecting durasteel and other metal to melt and turn into 'new' sheets."

The Siren's Song hit another large chunk of debris.

"Sorry Dad."

"Don't apologize to me, you'll have to answer to your Ma when we get home."

Well, the ship's medic was a sight for sore eyes. Siobhan was immediately put into a better mood and became more cooperative. "Of course, whatever the doctor says, my dear. I take it you'll be helping with my recovery? I'm sure I'm in good hands with you. If I may, you're very beautiful," she flashed the pretty medic her best smile. Siobhan's lines could not possibly get any cornier.

Then the admiral walked into the room. Since she commanded Siobhan's fleet and had just blown up the alien mothership, she merited some attention. Well, strictly speaking it was not Siobhan's fleet, but whatever.

"Thank you, admiral. Firemane'd be very willing to help the Coalition build the station. Thanks to the Guild of Hammers. we've got specialised, construction drones designed to operate in space." This meant more fake money for her.

"How's the cleanup proceeding? I've been told there's still hostiles left behind on the planet and that local leaders have reached out to us." Siobhan sunk back into her bed, partly because her back was starting to hurt her. Outside of the battleship, in the cold void of space, plenty of wreckage still floated around. It was Life Day come early for salvagers.

He straightened up, neural implant cradled in his palms, and looked out over the last thing Rave had seen: Hythe Park, in all its dubious glory. Even after years of environmental reclamation, the wind cut through his brown robe. He plugged the implant into his little Jedi imagecaster, the holoprojector that most Jedi carried on their utility belts beside the aquata breather and the grappling hook. He looked around, spotted a stump, and watched his sister's final hours. The Witness tapped the visual and auditory sectors of the brain; he saw what she'd seen and heard what she'd heard.

She'd spent her last day trying to save Hythe Park from a Columi invasion. He watched as she was joined by Seydon, then Rosa and Sio, on the peak of this bluff. She'd put together some final creation, working feverishly over hours -- a staff of some kind, rune-carved and stuffed with etched crystals. All of it was far outside his experience, but her explanation seemed grounded in the Light, and the aura at her death-site bore that out. She'd combined Jal Shey, Cerean Ner Yan, and a half dozen other crafting traditions to make a benign, low-wattage, directional version of a Phobis Device. A demoralizer, modeled after ancient Jedi battle meditation. But when she finished it, she gave it to Seydon and walked away. Called by a voice without a visible source.

"Rave...come out and speak to one you slayed."

He didn't recognize the voice on the recording. Rave cursed colorfully. "It seems I'm wanted. Of all times for justice to catch up with me. Seydon, you're attuned to it by default." She handed Seydon the metal staff, or gun. "You'll have to be the focus. If the two of you can lend him some strength -- or just you, Ms. Gunn, which frees up Lady Kerrigan for telekinetic functions -- I think you'll do fine."

She limped down from the pinnacle, then knelt and placed her living hand flat against the ground. A muffled thud sent up a plume of dust from the ground in all directions. In that cloud of dust, she continued heading downhill to where Jorus now sat. He got up and went to see her footprints; still there, one real foot and one metal.

"What has happened-"

The male voice cut off abruptly, and the visual froze. But then Rave's perspective moved, even if nothing else did, and Jorus' gut dropped as he realized she'd frozen time. He'd known she'd delved too far in that respect -- hence the twenty-five years she'd lived in a...well...elsewhere. When she'd gone from being his younger sister to being much older. Even so, he'd never realized she could do...that.

"You're nothing," she said quietly. "Bunch of starving, diseased, frostbitten yokels. A louse in the armpit of greatness. What are you next to me? I mean look at you. What do you possibly have to offer the galaxy, the lot of you? There's so much more I could make, and learn. So much more I could do."

Her knees, one prosthetic and one real, clicked as she stood. She looked up at the pinnacle, where Seydon and his lady love stood with Kerrigan. Rave rubbed her face and sighed. Her vision panned up to a trio of falling starships, frozen in the air, outlined by plumes of speed-warped smoke.

"Ah, I've lived too long."

"-to you?" said the hidden man as time unfroze, continuing as normal. The neural implant's feeds cut off instantly. The imagecaster's projection fuzzed into static, and that was that: Rave Merrill's last day. Trying to convince herself not to sacrifice herself.

She had to do something about these people they where no fun, and taking over another place with tombs. She liked tombs as you could steal things from them, as they may been picked over once, but they always have new secrets to reveal. She then looked at phrik block a square one with encrusted gems on it, she then pointed to what was possibly one of Darth Skotia holocrons, and said to herself like that. She never picked it up, as she never got hang of using holocrons. Though the sentiment was their, she head out to find the silvers and t try and kill one of them at least. As she head out form the ruins, she was headed for kaas city, well what was left of it. This planet was filed with rage, and one day it would give birth to dark side emperor again, who would find away to rule the galaxy. Then again it may have already have done, in the form if these silver, after al they where moving from one dark side powered planet to another. She did ponder for a bout 2mil seconds, if they where an evil empire and just had good pr.

Krux knew just what to say to make Setzi feel better. How horrid she had been to him through some of her conversion to the lightside. Some days she felt as though she was physically ill with the effort of trying to resist the darkside of the Force and staying in bed all day was the only option. But other days, her conversion was easier, and it especially helped with Knight Mullarus was around her.

“I’m setting the landing coordinates to the Dark Force Temple. I think you’re right about the saber parts. And we can meditate as much as we need to in order to cleanse the parts,” she said, smirking at him back. Krux knew all of her weaknesses by now, and even like a Jedi Master who wasn’t connected to her physically and emotionally, he would push her to overcome them at every turn.

With the press of a button, the ship lurched downward and then smoothed out upon their descent. “I’m also wondering if we can find some droid parts and maybe some other interesting samples to take back to the research scientists for Agricorps."

Since the Sith were always creating experiments which caused destruction, Setzi knew from being an Alchemist herself that many times, these samples of chemicals and biological matter could be reverse engineered to create components which had healing properties. Or if they found samples of any old bioweapons, which the brunette knew that the Sith often tried to create, they could also take those back to be destroyed.

Taking over the controls, Judah docked the Siren's Song against the alien mothership. Several frigates had already docked, bearing the topless mermaid logo favored by Salacia Consolidated. It was a quick comm call to the crew, a hookup of the system allowing one to enter the half-broken vessel.

Double checking their connection, Judah put Makai back down on the decking.

"Alright, lets go get suited up. Don't look so nervous, come on."

Judah had found a suit that could fit the boy after some searching. Apparently it was used for some small alien species before, all he had done was change the breathing requirements back to humaniod or near-human. Makai was unusually quiet as he suited the boy up. Helmet went into place and he checked the seals, everything seemed fine. A little tap went on the helmet.

"Good to go. You'll be fine. Look as nervous as me when I first went into the ocean. "

Chuckling his own suit went on, finally checking his own seals before double checking Makai's. With everything seeming fine, he led the boy over to the hatch, opening it. They'd start down the little tunnel connecting to the now-dead alien mothership, the sound of work reaching their ears as they got closer.

The medic, who looked about 22, coughed bashfully.
“Oh, well, thank you, ma’am. Uhh….”

Fortunately, she was saved for now by the Admiral. “Ensign Dar’rai, I think Lady Kerrigan is well enough for now, you may return later.”
The Admiral looked at Siobhan, hint of a smile. “My chief medical officer was not aware of your reputation, Lady Kerrigan. I trust my young Ensign will not be put in any compromising positions? I would not like her career to hit the rocks before it’s left port.”

“For the station, that sounds acceptable. The salvage proceeds well. Mr Dashiell is present with his company, and other contractors are removing the scrap for processing. Much of the wreckage already crashed to earth or was destroyed in the battle, so it’s easier than anticipated.”

The Star Destroyer Saarai, registered to Akure Executive Interstellar, decanted from hyperspace over Dromund Kaas. The presence of an AEI starship in the Kaas system wasn't unusual. For years, since the Mandalorians ruled here, AEI had been spearheading environmental reclamation, artifact containment, and Sithspawn eradication. Oh, operations had been sluggish and decidedly low-key while the Primeval ruled here, but a new day had come. So had three members of the Board of Directors, one of whom was the young Mara Merrill, normally a silent partner.

On the bridge, they let her make the call.

"Coalition Fleet, this is the Akure Interstellar vessel Saarai. I'm Mara Merrill. The Saarai is here to check on our operations in the Kaas City ruins, and I'm here because..." She swallowed the lump in her throat. "I'm here for family reasons. Requesting permission to land."

Aww. The medic was so adorable. For her part Siobhan looked a bit sheepish. "You have my word of honour that I won't compromise her career, admiral," she said innocently. This just meant that she'd have to be discrete. Besides, getting on the Countess' good side was bound to be beneficial.

She gave Gould a nod when the admiral elaborated on the progress of the salvage work. "That's good. Mr. [member="Judah Dashiell"] knows his stuff, so salvage should proceed smoothly. I've received a call from local reps about..."

However, that train of thought was cut short when a naval aide entered into the room. The lieutenant gave the admiral and Countess a precise salute, then delivered his report. "Admiral, Lady, an AEI Star Destroyer has entered the system and hailed us. A Ms. Mara Merrill is requesting permission to land."

It was Siobhan who responded first. "Mara," she said quietly. "Reroute the transmission to the comm here." Presumably there was some sort of holocom whatever tech thingie in the medbay because of reasons. "Mara, it's Siobhan. Permission granted. I'm...sorry about Rave."

Mara drew a sharp breath as Kerrigan's voice filtered through the bridge comm. "If you'd like to take this call in my stateroom, ma'am..." murmured the captain, and Mara managed a nod. This class of ship had a ready room just off the bridge; a few steps sufficed. Outside, the Star Destroyer angled down toward the surface.

She'd just about worshipped Kerrigan as a kid, grown up on her father's stories. Eriadu, the Bando Gora, the Savan Star Destroyer incident, the Corellian wedding where Jorus and Kerrigan had earned their bloodstripes... In the harsh light of youngish adulthood, Mara couldn't help but look back on those stories and admit that the reality was more interesting and terrifying than she'd known as a kid.

"Thanks," she managed, speaking into her lapel comm as the door shut behind her. "Were you there? How did it...how'd it happen?"

For the slightest moment the officer looked to the Admiral, who nodded.
“Ms Merril, I am sorry to hear about your loss. By all means land. My officer will provide coordinates.”

The Admiral looked back to Siobhan. “Excellent. Then we need say no more, Lady Kerrigan. I wish you a speedy recovery. Lieutenant, show Ensign Dar’rai back in.”

With that the Admiral departed to take up station on the bridge once more.

Sightseeing on a blasted dark side wasteland now occupied by a plutocratic religious oligarchy?
Another day in the life of Tamara.

For once though she had eschewed her normal dress for the robes and trappings of a cultist of the Consuming Leviathan.
The cultist she had acquired the robe from would have no memory of such, but would wake up very confused near the scene of the battle.

But why was she in the cult? Well, it had seemed like a good idea at the time to get closer to the heart of it so she could put a stop to the rot.

Problem was with cults though is that they could be ever so paranoid about things….

"Yeah, I was there," Siobhan said a bit haltingly, before taking a sip from her glass of water.

"On the hills overlooking Hythe Park. With Rave, Rosa Gunn and Seydon of Arda. Horde of Columni was gassing the town with nerve gas, dropping troops and they had capital ships. I was thrashing their ships and dispersing the gas, while Rave and the others were constructing a benign Phobis device to frighten the aliens into buggering off. Then three frigates came crashing towards the city. Rave gave her life to push them back into the atmosphere before they killed everyone."

There was a pause before she spoke again. Her headache was bothering her once more. She needed some aspirin. "For what it's worth, we wiped out the xenos fleet...and she died as a Light Sider."

Mara found herself in the captain's chair, alone in the ready room. She couldn't remember coming in here, let alone sitting in the chair. The Force offered no answers. She caught an echo of her father's pain; he was either in the system or nearby. She lingered on their Force bond long enough to verify that there was no serious anger, no risk of her father falling from this. As for how she felt-

"Thanks, that's..." She licked dry lips. When was the last time she'd had a drink? "That's worth a lot. Means a lot. That's what I came to find out. Hythe Park..."

The vessel shivered around her as it entered the planet's gravity well and atmosphere. Suddenly she needed to get off it, get out.

"Can I come see you?" Feth, she'd sounded like a kid. "I don't...there's nothing I can do here. She's gone, right? Poofed?"

[6/20]

There were short, measured breaths. Makai was acting as if the air wasn't going to be around much longer. For a half-Galan kid who could breathe above and below the waves, the situation was fairly new. Something he never had to dealt with before. The unloading 'tunnel' wasn't very long and soon they were thrust into the damaged alien mothership.

Workers had strung up lights everywhere, attaching them to anything that hadn't been taken away yet. There was not life support, no gravity. Magnetic boots and safety lines were the only things holding most in place. Labor droids intermingled with sentient workers, hauling off large sections of wiring or dragging back the guts of datapads and various computers for melting back at facility.

A large man in a enviro-suit came up and enthusiastically shook his Dad's hand.

"Mr.Dashiell." There was a look to Makai "Son. Welcome to our operation, I'm Zej. Proud to report we've been here three days. Operations are running smoothly. [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] and crew have been in the same region picking up cast-offs but you can see the work ahead of us. Rumor has it they are building something orbital."

"Going to have to kick it in high gear if they want to start anytime soon. We're projected to have enough durasteel for the Elrood Project within another day. Everything else is icing on the cake."

The massive temple was a most foreboding structure. It had withstood the test of time, even the cataclysm the Mandalorians had unleashed upon Kaas when they exacted their revenge upon the Sith. There was little illumination provided inside the monumental building, other than candlelight, which cast the place in an eerie light. Moreover, it was quite cold, though probably better than outside, as it was snowing there.

Naamah's boots made little noise on the hard stone ground as she made her way towards the main hall of worship, which was dominated by an absurdly massive, serpentine statue of the Consuming Leviathan. Impassioned chanting could be heard echoing across the corridors as the cultists made obeisance to their god.

True to form as a Clawdite, Naamah had changed her appearance. Currently she wore the shapely, slightly elfine face of a doe-eyed redhead. Her stance radiated devotion and submission as she stopped to make obeisance before a grotesque looking statue of a daemon or angel. The girl whose face she had claimed for herself was no longer in a position to complain, for she was very dead.

It had been...messier than Naamah would've liked. No, the truth was that a part of her she hated might've liked it precisely because of that. She cast that thought aside. At least the grey robe, which came with a hood of the same colour, was good for concealing small arms and a lightsabre. The chanting kept growing louder as it rose to a crescendo.

"Yes...vanished. Just her cybernetics are left, I think. Of course, you can come, dear. Come right now. I'll be there for you." Sio's answer was immediate and to the point. Compassion could be heard inside her voice. The tone she used could only be described as motherly.

Outside, in the cold void of space, Coalition battleships prowled around like hungry leviathans looking for prey, salvage ships plundered the wrecks of the xenos warships. Siobhan paid them no mind at all.

At the outskirts of the system, aboard a sporty little Santhe Challenger, Shambleau griped into her long-range sensors.

"There's nothing here. Dromund Kaas has been stripped bare. Even I know that. It's hard to get here without being noticed, and now that I'm here, there's nothing but humanitarian aid and rubble. This is a complete waste of time."

The man behind her made no reply. She'd eaten his face, though, so that probably didn't help with the loquaciousness thing.

"Far be it from me to second-guess Lady Cardei, but feth is this a useless, worthless errand. Show up, watch, leave. Nobody to kill, nothing to steal, no message to deliver. I do not get it."

"Thanks. I just...I really don't want to be alone right now." She managed a laugh. "All I've got here is the two stuffiest alchemists on the Board of Directors, and a shipful of corporate naval officers, and most of them sort of work for me. Not exactly great for the whole comfort thing. I'll come right over once I grab some stuff."

'Stuff', in this case, comprised the Ankarres Sapphire and an overnight bag. The Sapphire was, pound for pound, the best healing artifact in the 'verse, and Kerrigan sounded kind of awful. Mara knew that Kerrigan couldn't reasonably be considered a Lightsider, and thus actually touching her with the crystal would be a bad idea, but the gemstone's healing properties should still work just fine. Better than aspirin, that's for dang sure.

A short time later, bag over her shoulder, Mara and a little shuttle entered the Coalition ship where Kerrigan was recuperating.
