Dominion A Taste of Things To Come | NIO Dominion of Borosk

OPERATION: ANIMUS SIMULACRUM

After the neutralization of the mad Jedi Master in the Prism and the defense of the Epitaph II over Diab, The New Imperial Order has moved on to Borosk. It is here that they have gathered their forces to stage a military exercise before an audience of investors and Borosk local-government officials. This ‘war-game’ is an exercise that will use stun blasters and training sabers to prevent serious injury. Two teams, BLUFOR lead by Imperial Warlord Zovesa Imperial Warlord Zovesa and Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar will represent the attacking forces of the New Order, and REDFOR lead by Vaulkhar Vaulkhar Zambrano and Darth Bellum Darth Bellum will represent the defending forces of The Sith Empire.

This battle will have an asymmetrical structure, seeing the larger REDFOR defend three strategic points against the smaller BLUFOR as they attempt to take them. The field in which the exercise will take place has been modified to mimic the various terrain and geometry of a sprawling urban enviroment. Participants are encouraged to give it their all, as this will also serve as a display of the New Order’s military prowess not only to the people of Borosk, but to many investors and other potential ‘benefactors’.

OBJECTIVE 1A // REDFOR //

As the defending team, you will attempt to stop the opposing team from breaking through your defenses and capturing the strategic posts that you defend. Your team is larger and you have access to many fortified positions, but do not underestimate the opposing team. For further realism, REDFOR soldiers will be equipped with
Sith-Imperial Legionnaire Mk III Armor. Give ‘em hell, REDFOR!

OBJECTIVE 1B // BLUFOR //

As the attacking team, you will attempt to break the defensive of the opposing team and claim control of the strategic posts beyond their ranks. Your team is smaller and you are at a disadvantage, but this is a fact you’re going to quickly learn to get used to. Show ‘em what you’ve got, BLUFOR!

OBJECTIVE 2 // SPECTATIVE SOCIALIZATION //

Many of the political higher-ups, and investors and financial benefactors (both current and potential) are in attendance. For those unable to, or not chosen to participate in the exercise, the opportunity to make a good impression rests on your shoulders. A series of spectator installations and video streams from a closed circuit of flying camera-droids will allow you to invest yourself in the proceedings of the exercise.

It would have been obvious to anyone who knew Darth Avernus even a little bit that he would much rather be a spectator for this exercise. Despite his desire to jump at the opportunity to fraternize with investors and other members of the higher echelons of society, he understood the importance of this exercise. He understood it, but he didn't actually care at all. His true intention behind participating was his apprentice Lyra 'Sybila' Voikryt Lyra 'Sybila' Voikryt 's position on BLUFOR. During the raid on the Prism, they had a bit of a- falling out? No, that's probably too severe. Incident? Sure, let's go with 'incident'.

He'd taken a small detachment of REDFOR participants away from their fortified position, mostly made up of men from his own 66th Ragnos Legion, with the justification of meeting squads attempting to flank their position head-on. In reality, he was honing in on Lyra's location. He could always feel when she was around, it was a hard thing to describe, something that he mostly chalked up to her powerful presence within the force combined with his own potent empathy. Her presence was like a metaphysical homing beacon which he used to lead his men through the durasteel and concrete jungle of the wargame field.

As they marched through a durasteel corridor of one of the many fake buildings Avernus signaled them to hold just as they reached the end. With his men holding their positions, Avernus passed through the exit-threshold of the corridor and into one of the many artificial streets in the game-field. His black-robed form rounded the corner with a smug stride to block Lyra's path. One could almost hear the music that played in his head as he stopped and faced her. The pearly, hoth-white of his teeth exposed by his grin was visible from a distance as it contrasted against his crimson visage.

REDFOR: Comms Bunker Defense
Taim checked the weapons he had been given, looking for any defects. Force of habit he supposed, since the armor they had him in and the wargame field itself reminded him of his alter ego. Or was this his alter ego, he was no longer sure if he was being honest, everything had started to bleed together and lose definition years ago. He moved throughout the mock up sith communications base he and the rest of his squadron had been assigned to guard, and wondered yet again why they had given command to him. He was more than capable, but judging by the fact that his men stopped talking whenever he walked by, they had their doubts. And he couldn’t blame him, if he were back in Sith space operating for them as Mazrim Caide, he wouldn’t trust some random merc either. Still, he needed them to understand that he was a leader for their unit to have any chance of keeping cohesion in battle, so he opened his mouth to speak.
“Men-” he is cut off as the telltale screech of stun fire and bodies convulsing on the floor erupts near the rear entrance. Reacting purely on instinct, he rushes to the rear door and takes up a point position, crouching behind the frame for cover with just enough of his body revealed to have a sightline down the hallway. He could see the corner they would be turning, and took account of the barrels and cooling systems they could use as cover while they advanced.
“Hostiles on rear entry! Take defensive positions and fire on my command!”
His voice, still modified due to the small modulator he kept glued to the inside of his cheek, roars out and his men rush to follow. He had to say, while he still preferred sith troops, the ability of NIO soldiers to hop to action on a moment’s notice was second to none.
The first wave of Bluefor troopers round the corner.
“FIRE!”
He roars it as he lets loose with his blaster, taking out one trooper turning the corner as a hail of stun bolts scream out to chase his shot down the hall towards the intruders...

Asmus had followed behind the squad, the Blufor group ordered to take the mock communications bunker. The enemy, members of their own organization, held various points of interest for their investors to watch as the Blufor group attempted to take them. Asmus struggled a bit with the concept of wargames. They were to use non-lethal force, training sabers and stun weapons, and to make a show of taking or defending the objectives? Eyes narrowed behind the helmet he wore as the group broke cover, knocking the forward guards out with coordinated strikes from two positions. One from the westerly direction, and the other from directly south. The first group broke through to the rear entrance, taking a number of casualties of their own as the troopers slid into cover and counted shots.

Asmus was with the front entrance group, as the attack inside began, his own group stormed the front. He was not a great shot like the dedicated shooters in their ranks, but he came away with a few tags as he advanced to the front door and crouched. He couldn't use the vibro-blade to attack, but it's purpose was not just for assault.

A trooper behind him fell before Asmus spun and shot one from their tower position, hand falling to his thigh as the hacking blade was pulled from it's holster and stabbed into the controls. The red button pressed, he turned, pulling the convulsing trooper upright and used them for cover while the blade went about opening the front door.

The rear entry troopers were pressing but taking casualties, not yet able to pull the Redfor members out of their position. Asmus almost felt bad for using the already stunned trooper for cover, but they had not given the order to not do so. And even dead troopers were useful to some with a creative mind.

A Military Exercise. Though Captain Sularen preferred spectating , as a ambitious officer he needed experience on the field of battle , something that this simulation could bring him. The simulation would also test Marlon's Tactical Skills in which could help him in the battles to come despite the downside of the Simulation in which would make him miss an important meeting with various influential figures. For Marlon the Simulation was much more important and interesting.

According to the Simulation Team REDFOR had access to various Fortified Areas and had more men then Team BLUFOR , the team in which Captain Sularen had signed up with for the upcoming simulation. At his disposal were 60 New Imperial Marine Commandos that made part of Wraith Squadron's own Special Marine-Commando Force , Task Force 88 in which was designated to spearhead Boarding Parties on other vessels. Despite their disadvantage in numbers Team BLUFOR had an advantage , that they had more smaller and elite units at their disposal compared to large and standard units of REDFOR something that Captain Marlon would take advantage off.

As his men began setting their blasters for stun and preparing to move out towards one of the strategic points , Captain Marlon could hear the first shots being exchanged between REDFOR and BLUFOR Forces. With his men prepared , Captain Marlon and his men carefully moved towards the nearest of strategic points , moving from building to building carefully looking out for potential opposition from REDFOR. As Captain Marlon and his men arrived at a large building not so far from the nearest strategic Point , the Captain laid out a plan having devised it on route to their destination.

The Plan was simple : Marlon's men split in two and would position themselves within two buildings , the Large Building in which they were currently positioned and the one next to them on their right. Between both buildings was a small alleyway where Marlon planned to lure and ambush a large portion of REDFOR Forces through the use of Ion and Stun Grenades in which he had stockpiled on for this moment with 6 Marine Commandos holding bags full of either types of grenades. To enact the ambush , a squad of 10 Men would head out and attack a REDFOR Force only to fall back towards the Alleyway where they will head behind the buildings while Marlon and his men ambush them from the sides once they fall for the trap.

With that plan laid out , 10 Marine Commandos headed out to seek any REDFOR Troopers out there with the rest moving in to positions preparing to execute the carefully placed trap against REDFOR. From a window above , Captain Marlon observed as his men moved towards hostile territory and smirked , ready to demonstrate the full might of his tactical megamind.

REDFOR: COMMS BUNKER DEFENSE
Taim wheels around and rushes to the front entrance as he hears blaster fire erupt from that direction as well, cursing under his breath and ordering half his forces to help him hold the other door. This was only barely a game to him anymore, his years of active service making the familiar feeling of being cornered all the more potent. As he takes position, he sees the door slam open, meaning someone had destroyed the control panel outside.
Raising his blaster, he and his men do a good job of gunning down the first wave of attackers, but they keep coming. One trooper in particular keeps pressing forward, going so far as to pick up fallen soldiers and use them as shields, a creative option Taim can’t help but think is something he would do. Soon, he and his squad are slowly pushed back from both entrances, but not before shredding the enemy approaching through long narrow corridors with waves of screeching stun bolts.
Retreating to secondary firing positions, they prepare to hold the line, to either destroy their enemy or fall trying. Continuing to fire on the back foot, Taim snaps off headshot after headshot. One. Two. Three. Four. he keeps a mental count in his head. He had researched NIO formations beforehand, and he knew what a standard squad was composed of. He was confident he could force a stalemate numbers wise. Still, as they got closer and the two groups tore at each other from middle distance, that same trooper surged forward, cutting through his squad’s left flank like they were children playing soldier. Taim singles him out and moves forward to intercept, racking off rapid fire shots until he gets within 5 meters. Once in range he slings his rifle onto his back and rushes forwards, raising his fists. If this trooper wanted a brawl, Taim would give him one.

The doors had slid open, revealing the Redfor defenders. The lot of them gave it their all, heavy losses from initial contact until a sort of demented lull that happened with battlefields. Both sides hiding behind cover and giving glancing shots to make the other feel comfortable and risk the exposure for the chance to score a shot. One in particular had kept their aim high and accurate even with the pressure, and it seemed to be the one commanding the group.

Asmus still kept to his method of using stunned troopers as cover, his gaze fixed on the sharpshooting commander as he advanced forward persistently. Asmus was one of a few left on the flank, and kept pressing his advantage when the opportunity presented itself. His off hand already had a knuckle duster on it, having quickly popped it on in the doorway, the power cell taken out of both of them and finding it a small struggle to hold a trooper up with the device. But he preferred to have it on before he needed it in such tight quarters.

His eyes widen as the sharpshooter surges forward, the rapid fire shots hitting the latest shield before he watched the blaster be slung and fists come out. The trooper shield was twisted sideways, falling well and clear of the area as the blaster was snapped to his back. He hadn't brought modifications for this exercise. No point when they had the more elite and specialized groups in Blufor.

He closed the distance between them, the other knuckle duster sliding on in time to meet the other and take a right jab at them while they threw their own punch. It became a trade of blows after a bit of juking between them, some blows glancing while others found solid hits.

Objective: 1B

It had begun.
Whether it was merely simulation, or the daunting reality of live combat, Sir Galahad Nautilia Degore harbored the very same disgust towards the Sith. His eyes were alive with a fiery determination - an unspoken promise that he carried with him in every waking moment of his life. An unrelenting desire to place his boot upon the head of those that plagued the galaxy and crush it; as his presence would be made known, Galahad walked alone. While the accompaniment of troops was ever-present upon the battlefield, the Sergeant decided to make it a point to give a show of his prowess without the aid of an attachment - not for the desire of ego, but as a means of proof to himself that should the time come, he can carry his own weight.

With each armored footfall, Galahad carefully observed the surrounding mock structures and narrow alleys as both REDFOR and BLUFOR hashed out their battle of attrition. His helmeted gaze was absolute, his brow furrowed with anticipation as he ignited the silver blade of his lightsaber set to a stun setting - prejudice swarmed his thoughts as he visualized what the true scenario would implicate. For all he was worth, for all he had achieved up until now, his purpose was that of a stalwart defender. He had witnessed the destruction of all he held dear at the hands of the hierarchy that looked down upon the lower zoo of those they deemed inferior fodder for their abomination of a war machine.

Contact.
Galahad found himself set upon by a small squad of opposing troopers - even their very armor represented the accursed Sith Empire. An internal rage began festering within the Imperial Knight as he brought up his blade to defend himself from the volley of blaster bolts, their defiant protest screeching through the air as he began to bat them away back into the direction of the oncoming fire. Their own means of opposition striking them in the torso, their bodies convulsing as the high-energy of the stun dissipated throughout their muscles and limbs. As they had been felled, Galahad advanced forward, actively seeking those that would be playing the part of a Sith defender.

His biased would know no rest, his strength of will refused to be buried beneath the pure white of his armor. His enemies would only see the blackened abyss of his visor as he unrelentingly pursued their positions.

ORIGINAL COMPLIMENT: 1/2 STORMTROOPER COMPANY (100 troopers)
EQUIPMENT: 100x
Sith Legionnaire Armor suits, 95x SFR-58 rifles, 5x REC-RCG chainguns, 1x KXV vibroblade, ~100 assorted smoke, EMP, & stun grenades
OBJECTIVE: REDFOR / 1A
CURRENT TASK FORCE STATUS: FULL STRENGTH (101/101)

They would hold the fort.

FN-999 had been given a temporary promotion for this assignment. It was similar to a trial run, seeing how FN could handle a company before deciding whether or not to commit to a promotion. He was eager to prove to his superiors that he had what it took to lead a larger force, and thwart any opposition that came his way. Consequently, his will to beat back his adversary was as firm as the vibroblade in his hands.

He had been given a half company and sent to the leftmost strategic point, where they had quickly set up. It resembled a small, hexagonal fortress with walls about twenty meters long, six meters tall, and four meters thick, with peepholes scattered throughout. On top of the walls were ramparts, where thirty troopers currently stood guard, including all five heavy troopers. Their chainguns would prove invaluable at whittling down the enemy infantry, allowing FN-999's force to use their superior numbers to their greatest possible extent.

Contained within the hexagonal wall was a relatively plain courtyard filled with only grass and a mock Sith-Imperial flag raised on a flagpole at the very center, rising about ten meters into the air. FN-999 had been told that if the enemy lowered the flag, the point would be lost.

Suddenly, a trooper called out from the ramparts.

"Enemy sighted!" cried out the trooper excitedly. "Seems as if there's ten or less of them approaching Wall Four!"

Wall Four was the name given to one of the six walls of the hexagonal fortress, as they resembled each other too closely to be identified by mere sight. FN-999 stood on the rampart of Wall Three, immediately to the left of Wall Four.

"The threat is small enough that reinforcement isn't needed." stated FN-999 with confidence. "As long as we continue to have thirteen troopers per wall, we should be secure."

A few shots were exchanged, but before FN-999 even reached Wall Four, the enemy force had begun to fall back.

"No casualties so far, sir." stated the trooper who had called for him previously upon his arrival. "They seem to be retreating. Odd, I would have thought they had a larger force."

"Don't underestimate them, this could be a ruse." replied FN. He had seen similar tricks in his days with the First Order. Enemies would rush into battle blindly and then flee just as rapidly. His superiors, blinded by bloodlust, would send his squad into battle, only to be mowed down by a well-planted series of traps.

"Hold the line." ordered FN-999. "If we charge out, we lose our defensive position and we might have to ditch our chainguns. As defenders, we can force the first move out of the attackers. Our numbers, firepower, and fortifications should make short work of them. Stay alert, and do not leave the fort unless I stay so. We will not fall for their schemes."

| Objective | REDFOR - Hold the Line
| Focus | Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar
The former head of the Sith Empire's military stood with his arms folded across his chest, observing the field from a command post that had been established deep in the simulated battleground. Having been on the field in service of the Sith for so long, it was only fitting that he be selected as the commander for the side that was designed to emulate the Sith Empire and its forces, while his Imperial counterpart Tavlar had been chosen to lead the New Imperial Order's detachments.
Playing as the defending commander, Vexen had already taken the liberty of setting up scenarios that they were likely to encounter against the Sith Empire to further train those under the New Imperial Order to be more open-minded. The Sith had adopted several techniques and tactics Vexen had deployed to take his foes by surprise; they must be prepared for anything and everything to come. Those under his command had been ordered to do as they pleased freely outside his zone of command, as the Sith Empire often divided its command to Sith who pursued objectives at their own leisure while he was to remain authority over the internal zone in which the base was located.
Fortified positions would give the defenders a chance to think critically on how to split and assign their resources, hopefully to the ebb and flow of the battle. The flexibility of one's tactics was always critical on the battlefront; being able to adapt and react accordingly a decisive factor in who held the upper hand.
Presently, Vexen's forces in the immediate area were far more numerous than those at the edge of his zone of command - but kept hidden from aerial view or prying eyes of scouts, lying in wait for BLUEFOR to press whatever advantage they may possess. A series of clicks would be heard over the comms in Vexen's helmet, signaling that operations he had ordered prior to the initiation of the wargames had begun, his troops laying down traps ready to spring upon the enemy once they believed they had the upper hand.

As the Marine Commandos moved towards the Hexagonal Fort , they quickly came under fire from enemy forces from FN-999 and upon encountering them , quickly fell back towards the Alleyway. However unlike as Marlon planned , the enemy did not pursue. A Strange occurrence since Marlon always expected standard troopers to fall for such ruses. With that the Captain had to adjust his strategy. As part of the Offensive Team , he had to make the first move something Marlon was unfamiliar with , given that he preferred waiting for the enemy for launch the First Strike whether it be on the Offensive or on the Defensive.

Captain Marlon recalled his troops and devised a new strategy. Once his men had regrouped , he displayed his plan. "Alright men , right now we are facing a superior Stormtrooper Force in the Fortress. However we have various surprises at our disposal. If they won't follow us then we'll take the fight to them." Captain Marlon began. He then showed a hologram of the entire simulated area. "Here is the enemy Fortress and here is where we are currently positioned , 1 Block away from the Fortress. So here is what we'll do. With the use of our Stealth Projectors we'll charge directly at the enemy using our Stealth Projectors to Project holograms of additional Troops so that they enemy can't know which target is a real one. This will minimize our casualties and would allow us to quickly move towards the Fortress and secure that checkpoint"

Soon , his men would move out with their Stealth Projectors activates. Soon rather then seeing 60 Marine Commandos , the Men guarding that Fortress would see a force 4 times that size (The Stealth Projectors can project up to three Copies of the user) heading towards them. Even with their chainguns , the enemy could not effectively mow them down nor have the time to pinpoint which trooper was real and which one was fake. Soon the Marine Commandos would come into view of the Fortress their "Clones" fully projected with the First Commandos heading towards the Fortress ready to return fire at the enemy force. Behind the Commandos , stood Marlon Sularen who closely followed them unwilling to get directly involved in the battle.

With that , Captain's Sularen's Men charged forward ready to overcome their enemies. It was a bold move but Captain Sularen had no other choice. With an inferior force and no hope of the enemy abandoning their positions , Sularen would need reinforcements to take the Fort and that was a big no-no , the Captain needed to demonstrate his military prowess and this simulation would be the best way in doing so.

// IMPERATOR // 1st "Punished" Legion
// OBJECTIVE // BLUFOR
// FOCUS // Darth Bellum Darth Bellum
// THEME // Overture

<"Can only assume Vexen is running the show right?"> Konrad Bolter Konrad Bolter said as he sat exposed from the commander's hatch of his AT-TD, peering down toward the Sovereign Imperator buried beneath his panoply of war, it was a unique if antiquated set of armor, made solely for him. Engineered during his tenure as Lord General of the Sith Empire, it is a purely utilitarian set of armor in its camouflage coating which mirrored the rest of his stormtroopers who also marched in a pattern of greys and brown inline with the terrain around them with the symbol of the "Punished" Legion emblazoned on their shoulders.

<"What do you think?"> He asked in return to the Tank commander who could only offer up a shrug in return before burrowing down into the fortified vehicle. Making his way toward the forward command post established by BLUFOR in the shadow of the opposing fortified positions, Tavlar and his men found themselves donning familiar kit in familiar circumstances - all of their wear being but upgraded variants to what they'd taken with them to war on Kintan and Mandalore and then debuted in the New Imperial Order's scrap with Cognus Legion on Velmor.

<"What did our recon give us?"> Tavlar inquires to one of his subordinates who nods once before pointing out on the holomap projected over the table.

<"They're hiding what they can -- we're seeing groups stray toward us but for the most part I think he's playing his hand close to the vest, Sir."> The Legion Commander said to Tavlar, indistinguishable from the camouflaged stormtroopers setting themselves into position around them if only for a black pauldron indicating his rank among the rest.

<"That's part of what makes him dangerous. From me - he's probably expecting a consolidated spearhead into one of the strong points, taking everything we have and throwing it at one place until we punch through. If he knows that then the Sith do as well. Which mean's he's likely have everything held back in waiting to see where I play my hand and then - with greater numbers, snuff it out."> Tavlar contemplates aloud to his closest retinue of commanders.

<"We couldn't get eyes on it from the air, sir. But we can try sending out more recon to get a gauge on what they got.> The Legion Commander remarked.

<"If we don't have it now we won't have it then."> Irveric remarks, crossing his armored arms over his chest as he peers over the projection of the battlefield.

<" We have one "Pernach" with us don't we? We'll send that through our right flank, backed up by a platoon of armor and infantry each. Maybe even roll barrages in advance of it. The wheels on the tank can eat up most every anti-personnel traps they've set and the frontal armor will take the punishment. If we can bait them out we'll signal an airstrike to pull the attention of the stragglers toward the point...and then we'll prod at our center flank - likely a platoon or two of Cataphracts with troopers there and then ideally once their attention's split - we push everything we have with a company in reserve to fill the gaps down the left flank. The "Pernach" can bog them down long enough on our right and the men and armor we dedicate to the central advance will be enough to slow them when they realize what we're doing.>" Tavlar said in remark to his command staff before nodding once.

Saluting his retinue from attention they all spread out to their assignments and with lighter repulsor tanks and missile platforms at its flanks and rear backed up by stormtroopers carefully traversing past each building - an advance started down the BLUFOR's right flank toward the defenses established by Darth Bellum Darth Bellum .

REDFOR: COMMS BASE DEFENSE
The battle rages unabated around the two captains as they continue their duel for supremacy. Troopers fall left and right to stun fire, and yet Taim and Asmus remain untouched, as if they are the eye of the storm itself. Asmus seems to evenly match Taim in skill, power, speed, everything. They both hold their ground, circling like beasts stalking in the grass before clashing, trading blows. Dodge, pivot, attack, block, counter, dodge. The fight becomes Taim’s world. All recognition that this is a game leaves his head as he starts fighting for his life, fighting to kill his opponent. He throws kicks to the head. Blocked. He throws an elbow to the ribs, connection. As Asmus dodges the following uppercut he counters and Taim eats a left cross to the jaw, his vision flashing white for a split second before refocusing in time to dodge a deadly follow up axe kick. This stalemate has to end, Taim must break the status quo. He can think of only one thing that might shake him. Asmus is extremely skilled, but his fighting style is perfect. Taim grins beneath his helmet. Time to test how such a well oiled machine adapts.
Abruptly, Taim takes a half step back and starts throwing jabs from the outside, hopping in only long enough to throw one or two blows before backing out again, a completely different style from his natural one. If Asmus matched him at his own game, he’d play a different one.

// TAMBOR TIME //
[ All Of The Lights ]

Sat in his observation box he peered over the military exercise with a pair of macro binoculars held close against his beady eyes beneath the thick atmospheric goggles in close observationof the events as they proceeded. Even if Gat Tambor was here purely to see his weapons of war recently manufactured on behalf of the New Imperial Order in a controlled environment. With his focus almost singularly on BLUFOR as they utilized the armor and armaments almost entirely manufactured by his company.

He had nothing else to gain from this, seeing as the New Imperial Order's stock was occupied by Technoid Manufactorum, who had long staying ties with the Sovereign Imperator himself, ApexTech which had been consistently connected to Darth Bellum Darth Bellum and the Republic Engineering Corporation managed by Otto Shule. One thing that was a peculiar sight to Gat Tambor would be his keen eye spotting that several of the weapons utilized by REDFOR which were Sith Imperial holdovers from their collective treason vaguely resembled the very same REC weapons to which the New Imperial Order found themselves commonly equipped with. Such was the nature of particle beams. Truly perplexing.

"Hmmmm...fascinating." Tambor remarked in open air to himself more than anyone else, always gloriously ignorant of any other mortal being which took up space around him.

ORIGINAL COMPLIMENT: 1/2 STORMTROOPER COMPANY (100 troopers)
EQUIPMENT: 100x Sith Legionnaire Armor suits, 95x SFR-58 rifles, 5x REC-RCG chainguns, 1x KXV vibroblade, ~100 assorted smoke, EMP, & stun grenades
OBJECTIVE: REDFOR / 1A
CURRENT TASK FORCE STATUS: HIGH STRENGTH (95/101)

They were given a brief reprieve, the calm before a storm.

An air of unease filled the fort, as no one in the garrison had any clue what the attacking force was planning. The next battle would likely occur around or inside the garrison, giving the defenders a fortification advantage. However, the composition of the attacking army was still unknown. If they wielded superior numbers or armored vehicles, they might prove very difficult to push back. The Sith flag still flew high above the fortress, moving slowly in the gentle breeze above. All six walls were on high alert, anticipating a larger force. While REDFOR was supposed to have greater numbers, there was no telling how much of BLUFOR was concentrated around Point Left.

"There's movement about thirty meters out from Wall Four!" called out a trooper next to him on the wall.

From his position close to the trooper, he was one of the first in the garrison to see the second wave of the enemy assault. A large force, over a hundred from what he could see, was approaching Wall Four at high speed. They definitely outnumbered the garrison defenders, with a numerical advantage at least in the dozens.

However, Point Left's fortifications were considerable. The walls were made of crisp durasteel a meter thick, with peepholes inside the walls beneath the ramparts that could easily grant a marksman safe access to enemy targets. The ramparts were lined with durasteel blocks half a meter wide and tall, and a meter long, each spaced half a meter apart. And even with superior numbers, the attackers seemed to lack any siege weaponry sufficient to penetrate any of the six walls of Point Left. While each wall had a gate, they had the same dull gray color as the walls and were just as thick. All six gates were sealed and locked, and could only be unlocked by flipping a switch inside their respective wall. Even as more and more enemy troopers joined the attack, the possibility of them penetrating the fort seemed unlikely.

"BRING ALL NON-RESERVE TROOPS TO WALL FOUR AND OPEN FIRE!!!" yelled FN-999 urgently. The remaining twenty-two reserve troops would man the other walls, with three or four per. In the meantime, seventy-eight troopers, including all five heavy troopers, began to open fire on the attackers. However, even as shots were fired across the ramparts and underneath them in the peepholes, many of them seemed to pass cleanly through the enemy troopers as if they were ghosts. That was when FN-999 realized the enemy was using illusions.

"Some of the enemy force are illusions!" informed FN-999 to the troops on Wall Four, ducking under a block as a blaster bolt whizzed over the rampart. "Try to conserve ammunition by aiming to penetrate multiple enemies, they can't all be ghosts. Prioritize the troopers who are firing and damaging our ranks, they should be real. We can hold them off indefinitely as long as they don't bring in any heavy weapons or flying machines."

// THEME // P O W E R

While THE Gat Tambor observed the events going on beneath the mighty Pillarmen, Shute Gunray's attention was taken by something else entirely. Before the behemoth that is the Neimoidian, a long table covered from end to end in delicious food filled the room in an enticing scent. On each plate, dozens of different meals were stacked high, threatening to topple over at a moment notice. It took everything Shute Gunray had not to throw himself atop the meal and stuff everything he could get his hands on into his gullet. From thick, juicy burgers, to perfectly fried, golden chicken, Shute Gunray could not be happier at that moment. Before the Lord of Pestilence could dive into the meal, Tambor's words claimed his attention momentarily.
"What is interesting, my friend?" Shute Gunray posed the question before greedily lifting a drumstick. Without waiting for an answer, he lifted it to his meaty lips and bit down, tearing away the golden layer of fried flesh and soft white innards away. He chewed hungrily, sweat, and crumbs cascading from his meaty jowls, all the while he reached for a stuffed burrito covered in the typical TacoHutt wrapping. He ripped away the paper exterior and chomped down on the burrito as well, chewing loudly before swallowing the combined bites. He reached out once more, this time taking up the prized Jumbo-Hutt. The juicy, quadruple-layered burger was oozing cheese and the delicious Hutt-Sauce he and Agrippa worked up years prior. He bit down, his cheeks and neck fat convulsing with each starved bite.
Soon enough, Shute Gunry consumed the entirety of the burger and reached for a sized exra-double-massive-CEO soft drink, slurping the sweet Mountainous Mist down.
"I must make sure to order more of this delicious food next time we go out, my friend. Perhaps, I can have a Huttaburger or TacoHutt built on Skako. Given the contents of the meat, it is unlikely the methane will ruin the flavor."

<“There's some tension on the ground still,”> Captain Appw’rii announced upon entering the striped hall, offloading a case next to the small head quarters table. The holomap image of the industrial district distorting at the heavy thud. Lyra shook her head from where she sat, hunched over the map, adding another series of markers to the layout. Swallowing her own sigh, she passed her helm between her hands, the Tenebrae was heavier then she had anticipated.

Blasterfire echoed in the distance and she paused, the squad glancing toward the east as artillery sounded. It wasn’t too close but they were on their toes. The concrete center they had holed up was reminiscent of a stripped out apartment complex, windows blown out at varying places. It was just another grim washed out setting that lived up to a realistic deployment. She’d give the builders some credit, it instilled a certain sense of dejavu. Simulating a drop into contested territory, they were playing off the 51st's own Company. Glancing away from the layout, the handful of grey casted troopers following the Captain stopped short just behind the woman. One of them mumbling something about finding ‘it’ and Lyra waved her hand at the soldier acknowledging him.

<”Appw’rii it better not be our fault, it is a game, and I would rather it teach us some cohesiveness…ugh either way it’s a secondary concern for now. What’s the last report on this sector of the city?”> Lyra addressed the woman. A heavy dose of expectation weighed upon her shoulders and she didn’t want to see matters crumble due to infighting. Just what they needed..

<”Little to no activity, some barriers and it’ll be best to expect some traps. They’ve got three different levels along this plaza where the city districts change but we didn’t push up. We’ll want to avoid that area, to open. From what the reconnaissance shows we could go up through-”>

<”Don’t tell me,”> Lyra interrupted, warning the woman. There were too many what ifs resting upon the holo map and there was a series of looks passed between the rangers on hand.

<”Right..I will take the copy of the map to Captain Bellsarius then ma’am..">

There was a beat of silence that followed and Lyra cleared her throat; ignoring the elephant in the room.

<”Moneus this is yours, get it assembled and head out.”> Lyra flagged over the sniper who haunted the back wall. The man lumbered forward as the rest of the soldiers prepared their own weaponry. <”The combined forces should be moving into position now shouldn’t they? Moneus head in ahead of us, pick out a nice place and wait for the signal. You need to keep us in sight though, don’t stray from this general area. I’ll try to keep everything contained here. Otherwise, everyone pack up and head out.”>

Lyra stood only when the others started making their way for the stairwell, collapsing the plans and passing them over to Appw’rii. Sliding the helmet on, her HUD lit up but read no signatures. Concerning herself with her own weapons, Lyra checked the blade on her hip and the reinforced vambrace. It’d be her luck if she blew it out a third time.. No deadly force, but concussions were acceptable.

<“You don’t mind if I bet against you right? For scientific purposes?”> Appw’rii nudged her.

She ignored the unspoken meaning.

<”My credits are on the 51st accidentally winning us this,”> Lyra barked, sounding almost optimistic as she set for the door. Though she silently dreaded the reality of the fight to come. <”This is a realistic encounter, and none of us have fought a sith lord properly. I’ll go in first, so don’t waste the opportunity would you, objective comes first.”>

<”Right right..but try not go full cloak out there. There will be alot of questions.”>

As if she could, Lyra scoffed to herself. The squad assembled from Genesis flanked her the moment they hit the street, slinking up the deserted roads. How did she do it again? Scream obscenities in her head and the Sith Lord would appear to answer the injustice? She had a few blocks to figure it out and they fanned out, passing one at a time as they came upon the first city intersection. Time wasn’t in their favor and she set a hard pace, it reminded her a little too closely of Lo-Hold 3 and the radar could very well pick up on them.

There wasn’t a guarantee on the bait, they could get swarmed by enemy troopers for all she knew; only following the foreboding feeling on the horizon. The Prism had been an utter nightmare and against her professional judgment felt a little pettiness was justified. The Pureblood had preached about domination and power, time to throw it back in his face. As they rolled up on the fourth block, the woman’s gait slowed as she took the path down the center of the road. Trading off the haul in from the soldier, and throwing out a series of signs. They were on black out protocol and the rangers disappeared, pulling back into the surrounding buildings in wait.

Alone in the middle of the city with a steel chair and a stun rifle, the Legion Commander set it out and crossed her legs; waiting comfortably. Projecting violently, Lyra tapped her fingers along the butt of the blaster. Maybe it was pure negligent use of the Force but she didn’t know what she was doing either. She had a feeling there were a handful of people who’d be disappointed after they learned what her battle plan entailed. When Avernus rounded the corner, she marked it fifteen minutes in. She had sensed the looming storm coming and slowly grew rigid in her seat, sitting on the edge by the time he flashed his shavit eating grin. At first glance the active camouflage was easy to overlook but Lyra sat before him, making no attempt to mask her movements; her irritation loud and clear.

<“Alllrigh boys,”> Lyra muttered to herself, making no move to stand up. The recapture footage could be sorted through later, and she had a feeling it’d come in handy. Reaching up, she slipped the helmet off, pulling it off with a light hiss. She was surprised to see the Sith Lord in something other than a stuffed puppet.

“Wow, you have my..applause I guess.. this is tame for you.”

Objective | BLUFOR
Wearing | New Imperial Military Uniform [Color : White]
Forces | New Imperial Marine Commandos (Task Force 88) [ 57/60 ]

As expected , the ruse worked for Marlon Sularen's men. As they approached the fortress they took less casualties then expected due to the various holograms confusing the enemy troops. To ensure that the enemy wound't be able to find the Commandos who were real , the Marine Commandos rather then charge in a straight line , charged in a zig-zag pattern to make it more difficult for the enemy to locate the Commandos who were real at the cost of slowing down their advance. A Necessary Sacrifice though as Captain Sularen and the First of his troops reached the Fortress they faced a new problem. Breaching the Fort.

The Walls of the Fort were very thicc and with Task Force 88 arriving without any sort of Seige Equipment it would be somewhat hard to take the Fort. The only way to take the fort , now was to use grappling hooks and climb the walls of the Fortress. However it would be no easy feat but then yet again the response of the enemy gave them an opportunity. The Majority of the Forces of FN-999 had been deployed to Wall Four where Captain Sularen and some of his men had reached it's base , if some of his men stayed out to distract the enemy troops then Sularen along with a few of his commandos would be able to climb the Wall directly across Wall Four behind the enemy and surprise them.

"Okay men" Captain Sularen began."Here is what we'll do. 15 of you guys follow me , we'll head around the Fortress and once we arrive at the Wall opposite this one[Wall Four] we'll use our Grappling Hooks to climb the wall and surprise them from the rear. How many Gappling Hooks do we have here Lieutenant?" Marlon asked to one of his Commandos. "Sir we only have a few." the Lieutenant Replied. "Good enough. let's go Men" Marlon said as he took his KXR DSP-61x Pistol heading straight for the Opposite Wall from Wall 4 followed by the 15 Marine Commandos that managed to reach the Wall all while the other Commandos remained in the open returning fire on the defending REDFOR Troopers.

ENGAGING: FORCES UNDER Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , OTHER OPPOSITION ATTACKING POINT "LEFT"
ORIGINAL COMPLIMENT: 1/2 STORMTROOPER COMPANY (100 troopers)
EQUIPMENT: 100x Sith Legionnaire Armor suits, 95x SFR-58 rifles, 5x REC-RCG chainguns, 1x KXV vibroblade, ~100 assorted smoke, EMP, & stun grenades
OBJECTIVE: REDFOR / 1A
CURRENT TASK FORCE STATUS: HIGH STRENGTH (84/101)

[Enemy flanking force approaching Wall One!] stated a trooper to FN-999 through the secure comm network built into their armor.

[What's their composition? Do they have any special weapons with them?] replied FN-999, his tone becoming more urgent.

[There's about a dozen, they seem to have some sort of grappling ho-] announced the trooper, before he was cut off by the sound of a stun bolt followed by static.

That was when FN realized that the main force had been a diversion.

[Move fifteen of the reserve troops and ten of the Wall Four troops to Wall One!] ordered FN-999 with haste. [Maintain current positions and continue to hold down Four! I'm going to One myself, if it's breached, head to the courtyard IMMEDIATELY.]

Then, FN-999 cut his comms and bolted. Unfourtunately for him, Wall One was on the polar opposite end of the Point Left fortifications. However, there was a shortcut. A staircase at the end of Wall Four lead down inside the wall, and he scrambled down it, followed by multiple other reinforcement troopers, including two of the heavy troopers. At the bottom was a large door, which FN-999 threw open to reveal the courtyard and the Sith flag waving in the center of it. They sprinted across the courtyard, well aware that only three troopers were currently stationed at Wall One. If they didn't arrive soon, the flanking force might overrun the wall and bring down the flag, depriving REDFOR of a crucial point.

Finally, they arrived at the entrance doors to the Wall One staircase. Rushing up, blasters in hand, the twenty-five reinforcement troopers arrived in Wall One's ramparts only to find all three stationed troopers unconscious, and the enemy closing in without hesitation. The relief force rapidly took cover behind the rampart walls as more stun bolts flew in their direction.

"Take cover and overwhelm them with our firepower!" yelled FN-999, firing stun bolts from his own rifle as his force joined him. The chainguns took multiple seconds to set up, but then the heavy troopers had opened fire as well, raining down dozens of stun bolts onto their adversaries within seconds. "If one of them gets onto the ramparts, I'll deal with them."

| Objective | REDFOR - Hold the Line
| Focus | Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar

The ground trembled beneath Vexen's armored boots as the simulated battle continued, the armored Sith leaning forward as he rested his hands on the holotable that displayed the battlefield and what forces were visible from reconnaissance, keeping an ear open to communications to better understand the methods of his opponents as they skirmished. Another series of clicks would be heard over his comms; the first sets of charges had been set. His gaze fell upon a ruined street overlooked by tall buildings. The terrain would work to his advantage and make it difficult for BLUFOR to traverse once his trap was sprung.
He shifted his gaze as a hostile Pernach rolled into the holotable's view, Tavlar having made his move on the right flank. There were numerous avenues fo approaching Vexen's position, so it was likely that he would be dealing with a multi-front assault; sending a turbo tank along one of them was a smart maneuver to divert forces away from the other flanks, but given the speed it was moving at, there was no rush to mobilize anything at present. A section of the right flank along the road would highlight in red, still a fair bit off from where the turbotank was, but it was a proverbial line in the sand so to speak.
Vexen shifted his gaze to the rest of the theater as he ordered several squads of Evocati droids out in the open to be watching the other flanks leading up to his position, utilizing droid as blaster fodder and to better gauge what the composition of his opponent would consist of. The Evocati droids would be scattered along the flanks as they advanced back towards BLUFOR.
