Teth

A small freighter, registered to a personal owner out of Nadiem, exited hyperspace near the planet of Teth. It received no greeting and found no ships presently within the system, at least not visible to the scanners. The pilot focused on scans of the world, picking up only minor traces of activity. Nothing of severe importance stood out from the scans, but the ship descended towards the planet all the same, near one of the old castles, where it settled down and proceeded to go through power down.

"I can't accurately say that this particular one has anything going on in it," the pilot said as he flipped a switch to shut off the engines. "Could just be an old, leftover Droid."

"Worth a shot," Ever said as she leaned back from looking out the viewport at the forest.

"Hey, all I'm saying is don't shoot the messenger."

Ever reached out and smacked him upside the back of the head. "Keep it up, Jabir, and I'll make you muck stalls back at home."

Jabir winced, and Ever chuckled as she walked back into the hold. Her fingers contorted into a gun and she fired at the door controls, which one of the guys hit while she grabbed her helmet and pulled it on, her blaster stave slung over her shoulder and hung from a strap. The others stood and donned their helmets and blaster staves. Jabir came out and joined them too. As the others filled out, she followed them and Jabir closed up the ship, leaving it secured as the Nadiem Rangers set out for the nearby castle.

They wandered through the Forest towards the nearby Temple and stopped before reaching it, only where they could see the whole thing. Ever studied it for a bit and then looked at the others.

"It's sealed. Someone's been here recently."

"Think the Intel we got was legitimate this time?" Jabir asked.

"I don't know. Maybe. It could also be a hutt cartel or someone else. There weren't any ships in orbit. So either they have no more fleet or they're hiding it if they are here."

"Only one way to find out."

She nodded and pointed at the entry.

"We go in."

Aeron was shocked to see two unknown people walk into the temple he was busy scavenging in.

Aeron's first instinct was to hide. Aeron dashed into the shadows behind a pair of conveniently placed boxes and hopes the intruders didn't see him hauling loot.

Jesse stretched her arms out in the cockpit of the ship. The Nualia was something few others used before the apprentice.. padawan whatever she was now. She just knew she preferred to not come home before the look she got. Seeing the planet ahead though she straightened her hair into a tight ponytail letting it go to the small of her back. Wearing the skylar outfit for herself she stood there in the cockpit setting the autopilot to land her down on the planet. Where they would be able to go around and she had her equipment ready to go. A field kit for her thigh and her utility belt, a combat knife in her boot when she secured the circlet on her arm. The golden bands around her arm with the tattoo she had. She came down on the planet itself securing the combat boots before she was licking her lips. A nervous habit before starting to walk down the ramp of the ship once it was on the ground. The air coming to equalize sending her hair up and to the side for a moment. "Well now this should be fun."

In her off time from conducing under cover missions Yuvie would often search through the galaxy for old Jedi or Sith temples in her search for knowledge and power in the goal of one day getting pay back on those that betrayed her and sought to rid the former inquisitor from the galaxy. Using the extensive data base of the Galactic Alliance the young Mirilian had made her way to the planet of Teth, records and other sources pointing to the place being vacant for decades, its secrets and other artefacts left behind for the taking, most likely not being of interest to anyone right now with all the current wars.

A jet-black TIE fight, though with the emblem of the GA on its side landed a few clicks away from the (what she assumed to be empty) temple, cock pit making the notable hissing sound as Yuvie force leapt out from the menacing craft. "Hmmm, I feel that I am not alone on this planet, maybe that intel was wrong? Perhaps, best be safe about things, no need to draw attention to myself". Using the skills had she learned at the Imperial training academy, the Sith cloaked her force signature before trekking towards the temple, a slightly ring of a blaster being fired assuring her that others were indeed here.

Atrisia had a spice problem, and it wasn't the zu peppers in the Xiaolang Sauce.

With planetary reconstruction an ongoing issue, employment for Atrisia's billion strong population of survivors wasn't an issue. People who wanted to work could definitely find employment in any number of jobs related to rebuilding the war-ravaged world that had been touched by the fires and passions of the Galactic Republic, Omega Pyre, and One Sith before finding it's current home in the possession of it's conquerors or caretakers, depending entirely on one's point of view, in the Galactic Alliance.

What was an issue was homelessness.

There simply wasn't enough safe, secure, and stable housing for all billion plus survivors. And even importing modular shelters for temporary housing options, they couldn't assemble enough housing units fast enough. Particularly around the heavily devastated area of Jar'Kai. Food was next on Atrisia's list of problems, with wartime rations being the new dietary staple for the planet while lands were reclaimed for possible use in farming.

With so much atmospheric and environmental damage, it seemed unlikely that some of Atrisia's native crops would thrive again in the same soil, so their scientists were looking at alternatives for sustainable crops.

In the meantime, struggling for housing, food, and the general diaspora that had displaced many of Atrisia's generational families from their ancestral towns or villages that caused one upswing in the economy. And it wasn't a good thing either.

The spice trade was up.

With no food and no housing to spend their paychecks on, people were turning to spice to take the edge off their hunger and depression. It was a rather stark view of his planet to be presented with such a reality, and certainly no worse for the fact that the spice dealers preyed on the most vulnerable of galactic populations to peddle their trade.

Shoma knew that he needed to be doing more to address Atrisia's underlying problems of a lack of housing and food shortages. The shelters were beyond capacity. The planet's factories were barely functional, producing a pitance of the prefabricated shelter parts. The majority were brought in on massive superfreighers whose mass necessitated the class 3 or 4 hyperdrives that moved them like slow whales through space. Same with the food.

When lightspeed still wasn't fast enough, the boy couldn't but feel like he'd exhausted what resources he could call upon to alleviate the problems. For some things, Atrisians would need to look to themselves for innovation and self-sufficiency. They were, after all, survivors. They'd proven that when they'd walked out a billion strong after Force Storms, earthquakes, a super volcano, and the fall out from all of the preceding wars.

So Shoma was handling the one piece of this disaster that he could actually touch. That he could actually affect change. And that was cutting off the spice at the source.

Whoever was running the spice trade through the Atrisian System was good. Alliance Intelligence suggested that it was likely the Burning Chain being used as runners for a Black Sun backed cartel operation. Initial analysis put the likely base for such an operation somewhere in Wild Space. But even that was hardly narrowing the field for how vast and empty space was. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack the size of a galaxy.

Teth's connection with organized crime, and its relative obscurity, seemed as good a haystack as any to start with.

The streamlined shape of a Loronar E-9 appeared, as the exploration vessel reverted back from hyperspace. As the flight profile adjusted for normal sublight transit, the sensor domes were retracted back against the hull.

The vessel was tagged with the red coloration that was universal code for a diplomatic envoy. The pink flower blossom that served as the symbol of the Atrisian Commonwealth emblazoned on either side of the aft "wings" of the sleek survey ship.

"There's multiple contacts on the planet," the analyst droid reported, as the ship drifted into orbit of the planet.

"Multiple," Shoma echoed, uncertain how to interpret this information. "So perhaps Teth is not as unpopulated as Alliance Intelligence was led to believe," the young prince opined aloud.

Was it his spice pirates? Probably not.

Worth a look in any case.

Mereel hoped his intel was correct. The source of the information giving him the coordinates of this rendezvous was highly questionable, but unless it was his clan, he couldn't see what anyone would gain from luring him to Teth.

If it turned out to be a trap, he'd blast his way out, if it was a fluke, he'd walk away seeing a planet he had never been to before, if the source was correct..

His ship's scanners had picked up other vessels located near or in the planet's orbit. Maybe the info had panned out after all, either that or the people trying to ambush him were incredibly sloppy.

He set down the ARC-170 in a clearing one kilometer southwest of an abandoned temple and powered the ship down. He had been extremely careless on approach, and didn't try to mask his ships transponder signals or even bother flying low to the ground so that others wouldn't see him land with the mark 1 eyeball. If anyone was near, they could find him if they wanted to.

Mereel hopped out of the cockpit, and grabbed his rifle before shutting the hatch. He had already donned his armor before jumping his ship into the sector.

Mereel began his small hike toward the temple, and set up his HUD to alert him if anything taller than 1 meter moved within a 25 meter radius of his current position. Strange as it may have been, the man wanted to take in and admire the planet's foilage and fauna instead of constantly looking around for things to blast.

Coming out of hyperspace and into the atmosphere into Teth he slowly descends in his ship as that's happening he gets up and opens the cabinet putting on his black robe with a hood he also put gloves on with combat boots he lands about 2 clicks south of the freighter he jumps out of his ship as it flies back into space he turns to the north and starts walking.

"It appears as though this place is becoming a tourist destination, bah of course people would start coming here all of a sudden, it would be foolish to think I was the only one with this idea, but my how... diverse the crowd has become". It was interesting, but also worrying at the same time, while one presence that came was light, probably a Jedi of sorts, the other was dark... very dark something she had not felt since leaving the Galactic Empire behind. A person like that would be a problem, not so much for her, if it was another Sith she could just lie her way through it, very few people knew of her defection, being labeled as KIA on the GE records, but it may be a problem for those that have just landed, notable the Jedi.

"Hmmm, I think I know a way in which this could work", perhaps if she teamed up with the Sith and got to the temple first they could avoid conflict with the others, but first she would need to meet this new dark force user first hand. Unmasking her signature ever so slight Yuvie started to make haste towards the dark force signature, hoping to get their before any trigger happy scavenger or explorer.

"I'm not the only one that saw that right?" Ever asked, motioning towards the front entry of the ancient castle.

"I definitely saw it too," Jabir said.

"Same," said one of the others.

"Well, that takes some tension off since we know someone is here. Let's move."

Several figures clad as such, and carrying blaster staves, darted from the woods towards the newly opened fortress, following after [member="Aeron Tosh"]. They slipped inside, and as they did so, Ever pulled her staff from off her shoulder and gripped it with two hands. Inside was dark and she couldn't immediately see where the figure went that they had seen rush inside. Not surprising.

"I'm picking up energy signatures that way," Jabir said, looking up from a portable scanner and pointing down one of the passages that descended further inside.

Ever nodded and two of the others moved forward down the passage while she and Jabir followed immediately behind. She half expected them to run into traps at some point, so she was being cautious and watching everywhere with her eyes. Her HUD provided her with night vision as she moved further in. The further they went, the more she was certain they were finally going to find what they were looking for. It had been so long since they'd started searching that she would be grateful if they did.

They just had to go further to see.

Something wasn't right. Mereel's motion tracker hadn't detected anything, but he could feel that something wasn't right.

Mereel stopped walking for a second, and closed his eyes. He powered down his armor so he wouldn't be distracted by any notifications from his HUD, and quited his thoughts, trying to open himself up to the force.

Mereel hadn't tried doing this on his own before, he had always had a practiced Jedi leading him through his attempts to channel the force in any method beside meditation.

He tried to sense his surroundings through the force by first envisioning himself. He then positioned the mental recreation of himself standing at the center of an empty field. Mereep altered the imaginary field in his mind to match the terrain and foilage of his immediate surroundings.

Mereel expanded the imaginary map in his head slightly more, listening to the force to tell him where to place foilage and terrain on the map in his head.

Then the force told him to add something else to the map, something new and alien in nature, yet it was unmoving like the rest of his force-map. Whatever it was, it was 2 meters long and it felt alive, but primal. More importantly, it was in a tree right beside him.

Before he could further define the image in his mind, he sensed something he hadn't felt since he had landed near an ancient temple on the Jade Moon of Loronar. A dark, foul presence corrupted the images he had constructed in his mind, and all the foilage and fauna withered away until there was nothing left on his force-sensed map but himself.

Mereel gasped for air as he stopped visualizing the map in his mind. As he powered his armor back up, something burst out of the tree to his right and into the air. He scanned it with his helmet before it disappeared into the jungle.

It had been a two meter long Can-cell. The force map in his head had been right, and if it was also right about the corrupting presence - there was only one group of people he knew who gave off an aura so perverse.

Mereel toggled off his rifle's safety and began sprinting towards the abandoned temple.

Still walking the sith taps on a blue button on his wrist computer which pulled up a hologram of a person in a robe whos face was covered " I am doing as you say I will investigate and destroy of anyone who was in part with the mission " as he keeps walking he starts sensing people with connections to the force he thinks about how he is hunting bounty hunters why would there be force sensitives near he figures its Jedi in which he will get a bonus for a couple Jedi bodies.

He continues walking north almost to the freighter he begins his meditation while walking he clears his mind of thinks of his past how Jedi killed his father and all that pain of the bounty hunters killing his mother he channels his pain, anger, hatred of the Jedi as he approaches the freighter.

Aeron panicked as he realized the two unknown figures were still trying to chase him down and he feared he'd be unable to lose them even in the darkness of the fortress. Out of pure desperation he dropped his bag of loot and used his advanced technology to project two holograms. One to his left, and one to his right. He then pulled out his blaster, even though Aeron has never shot a blaster before in his life he was prepared to do so if it meant saving himself.

"I said we should have set traps." The outpost's commander said. As the various individuals in the temple trampled on the sacred grounds, the underground Republic hideout was being rained on with crackles of rock from the now poor structural support that naturally came with digging out an intricate tunnel network in the ground.

"And here we are now, about to be mauled to death by some Sith and probably a group of bounty hunters looking for ancient Jedi relics. We should have burned this place down years ago but of course I was over-ruled by the military junta that we have now transformed into." A group of operatives for the Remnant were now gathering, concerned with exactly what defense plan the great strategist was going to form. Priscilla on the other hand was a little less interested and stodd with her arms crossed looking into the confused group panicking, trying to formulate some sort of evacuation.

"The tunnels won't hold all of us if we try to escape at once, going in small groups will reduce the bearing on the ground beneath us." The chief engineer who had oversaw the entire construction and refurbishment of the temple's base spoke with pride in her voice. "Naturally, we should keep some troops here to gather the equipment."

Priscilla sighed and turned around at the incompetency of her fellow comerades. They were obsessed with fleeing, never standing up for anything they believed in. As she made way for the hidden exit, the commander promptly interrupting any discussion that was being had. "Operative Ruse, if you step one foot out that door consider yourself demoted."

Her head turned slightly, a deadly gaze falling upon the cowards she called friends for the past several years. "It may not have occurred to anyone in this room that there are 20 or so elite trained commandos and at most around 10 poorly trained bounty hunters. Unless any one of you are going to suggest that the Sith Empire have made it their priority to investigate a minor, abandoned Jedi temple on the planet of Teth I suggest you don't question my motives with all due respect, Commander."

He was stunned at the eloquent speech patterns of the Chiss. The woman rarely ever spoke her mind, and, not as if it mattered, she was the only operative assigned to this entire outpost. While the commander could demote her all he wanted to, it wasn't like she was taking a pay reduction for doing so. Gathering his words he tried to re-assert his authority. "And w-w-hat exactly are you planning on doing?"

Her eyes faced forward now. "What everyone in this bunker has been to afraid to do for the past 5 years. Fight." The stone's creaking noises juttered the walls as a new entrance formed in the Temple's library which led underground to the Remnant's headquarters. A sole Chiss woman exited, afterwards the door sealed shut.

At the Foot of the Temple Entrance
Mereel could now see the temple's main entrance. The main gate wasn't sealed. If someone was home, they would soon find him running through their temple.

As he entered the main room he noticed a few passages. He took the leftmost of them. It's a common saying that left is always the left way to go after all... wait that wasn't the saying. Oh, well. He didn't know where exactly he was supposed to go once he reached the temple's coordinates anyway, so this choice seemed as good as any.

He slowed his sprint to a light jog and turned on his helmet's dual flashlights.

He was too busy looking at the Temple's grandiose architecture to notice his motion tracker detecting movement from four sources up ahead. He stopped his jog only after noticing he was now standing in the middle of a fireteam of soldiers, all armored and armed with a weird form of weaponry he had never seen before.

Mereel hunched over to catch his breath and kicked up his suit's internal air conditioning unit. "Nice sticks -"

He arched his back. Returning to his normal posture, Mereel looked to one of the soldiers, "I don't know who the kriff you are or why you're here, but I hope those things are good against Sith."

She was close, the menacing and corrupt air becoming more repugnant as she leapt from tree to tree, who ever was here though did not seem to be in any hurry to get to the temple, did they want someone else to find the artifact or treasure inside, and then kill them, taking it for themselves? It would not be a surprised, the Sith where always in search of gaining more power, through what ever means possible and with little work, in all honestly such a method was not something Yuvie would have disregarded if she was still an inquisitor.

Soon though her eyes spotted a finger in the distance, their black cloak standing out like a sore thumb among the green and brown forest which surrounded them, "Not one for subtly is he... no matter, just makes it easier to track him". Yuvie observed the (what she assumed to be a man) for a few seconds as he walked towards the temple, it was hard to see what he was let along who he was, but she was convinced such a person was a Sith. Ren were more flamboyant in the dress, and dark Jedi tended to dress more casual, the only way she would know was to confront this force user face on, maybe find out why they are here to begin with.

Yuvie leapt from the tree she was standing in, landing a few paces behind the cloaked force user, her old inquisitor robes, falling neatly beside her as she stood back up to meet the mysterious man. "If you are here, no doubt your goal is the temple, but in addition to that you must sense the Jedi that are present on this planet... why then are you acting with more haste towards your target, or is your goal something different"?

Ronin was NOT having a good day. He had gone to Corellia to visit his family that week, and then, this morning, had planned to leave the system. Which would have been all well and good if his phrikin ship hadn't been confiscated by the Corellian authorities. He didn't know when Corellia had started confiscating smuggler's ships, or really doing anything at all to deter those in his... industry, but he had a sneaking suspicion that it had less to do with the law and more to do with the daughter of the starport's head of enforcement, whose name according to her was Triss Benett. Anyways, events from the night before had probably not left Triss in a good mood, so... Either way, two blaster fights, a bribe, then another blaster fight later, and he had a ship and was home free. Well actually, he was everything but home free. Technicalities.

As Ronin gently guided the T-70 X-wing out of the spaceport, and towards space. She was a nice craft, and Ronin felt pretty bad for taking her, as her previous owner had clearly cared for his craft quite diligently. And while Ronin did in fact love the craft, he believed that someone who kept a ship in good condition deserved to keep it. Which is why he was irritated that MR. SALTY SECURITY below was... well, salty. He wanted his ship. This would do for now; even when running through a spaceport in a panic trying to simultaneously avoid three separate squads of guards trying to stun him so he could be fined until he died, Ronin had standards, and this X-wing met those standards. Anyways, in a week or two, this would all be over and he could return this X-wing and get his old transport back. And his smuggling business with it. Ronin stretched, and then chuckled to himself. That had been quite a bit of fun. While he waited for a return to his home to be safe, he would be a living legend in his hometown 'Did you hear about Ronin Naara? He dueled every guard in the starport and was forced to steal a ship to escape after *KRRRSHEEEEE*ing the HoS' daughter!'

Ronin raised an eyebrow. "Krrrsheeeee? ...Whaatt?" He looked around. The sound had not been caused by him or the ship. He was still in atmosphere, so it could have come outside. (Ronin was nowhere near full throttle, the longer his ship could be seen by his former pursuers, the better) He looked around outside, not seeing anything. Then, thinking a bit, he maneuvered 'his' fighter, so that he could see what had been behind him. "There is no way that he-- TRISS YOU DICK" Ronin completed the maneuver, almost colliding with the two A-Wings that had apparently been sent after him. Ronin sighed, then put the fighter at full throttle. "Well, let's see what this girl c--*KRREEESSSSSSS* YOU PRICKS, I'M TAL-- *KRSSHE*--ERE!"

Finally the X- wing broke orbit, slightly ahead of its pursuers, mostly because it wasn't trying to disable anyone's engines. Ronin turned his attention away from piloting the ship, and started to set the ship up for a jump to hyperspace. Right when he was about to select a destination, *...* one of the ships behind him fired it's lasers, which he didn't hear because he was now well away from Corellia, in space. What he did hear though was the loud groan of his fighter the as the laser tore a hole through his upper left wing. Not enough to actually affect his flying, but more than enough for Ronin to know that he had to go. NOW.

Panicking, he hit some random star and planet on the nav system, and hit the jump button. His ship responded, beginning the jump to hyperspace. "Come on, come on... YES" [clipforfun]

Out of hyperspace, Ronin sighed with relief. He was safe. After briefly enjoying his peace, Ronin glanced at the computer to see where he had jumped to. Apparently he had arrived near some planet named 'Teth'. Ronin took out his blaster and started cleaning it, thinking about what he should do next. Shrugging, he tossed his blaster on the floor --it was quite uncomfortable in this small pilot's seat-- and put his hands back on the fighter's controls, heading for the planet below him. The first thing he ought to do is check on that wing damage. Normally he wouldn't be concerned, but the wings on the 'X-wing' fighter line also acted as S-foils, and if those malfunctioned, things could go very badly very quickly. Ronin had now broken atmosphere, and was about to look for a landing spot when he saw something more interesting. There was a castle below him, which had a large main building, that was connected via bridge to a smaller building on a nearby spire.[x] There appeared to be a few of these bridges. Experimentally rolling his X-Wing 90 degrees, Ronin smiled to himself. He had a very good idea. Putting the engines on as high as they could go, Ronin aimed for the space between the main and side spire, coming in so that the main spire was on his right. Some tricks would give him a good idea of how his new craft handled, and also fun.

Ronin threaded the needle perfectly, smiling to himself as he did so. This was when everything went to chit, and did so very very quickly. Ronin leveled his craft out, intending to now fly off and land somewhere. His reverse roll was met by a terrible grating screeching sound, and he looked to his right to see that his right wing, both halves, as Ronin had closed the wing for the maneuver, was now missing its last meter and a half or so. Briefly glancing to check if his ship was going to explode, Ronin stopped paying attention to where he was going, which would have been fine, if Ronin had not been travelling at the T-70's maximum atmospheric speed of 1,150 km/h. As Ronin looked back in front of him, the fighter's left wing collided with another one of the small rock spire's, and was summarily ripped off of his ship.

If he could have, Ronin would have listed every expletive he knew several times over, and then invented several more for effect. He did not have time for that. His instincts took over and he slammed the eject button. As he soared into the air, the fire that had been started in the fuel lines on the left side of his fighter(you break it you own it) made its way through the fuel lines and to the main fuel reservoir. The fighter exploded, immediately and brutally. As the parachute opened, Ronin winced and then paled quite a bit, looking down towards what very well could have been his grave. Ronin sighed. This situation was beyond anything words could express.

Now slowly parachuting down, Ronin surveyed the damage he had caused. There was a massive gash in the rockface between the first and second spires on the monestary, caused by a 1,150 km/h impact with a fighter's wing. The top part of the second spire had been sheared clean off by a much more severe version of such an impact, and both his fighter's explosion, and its debris had probably ruined someone's day. Serves them right for being in the same system as him. Ronin heard something below shatter and crush, a sound that, under any other circumstances, would have terrified him. He had forgotten about the top of the second spire. And the spire itself looked like it could fall any minute now. Whoever owned this monestary was not going to be happy Ronin thought with a sigh. Well, worst case he could shoot them. By his feet, Ronin heard a plink. His hand immediately went to the holster on his right side. Then, maintaining a neutral expression, Ronin took his hand off his holster and used it instead to wave bye to his blaster as it fell down to the planet's surface, however far away it was.

Ronin closed his eyes and sighed again. "Why."

"Movement," Jabir said as he came to a stop. "Ahead and behind."

The group came to a stop and Ever tightened her grip on her staff. Somewhere ahead of them, in the darkness, was someone. She figured it was the scavenger they had seen earlier. Given the amount of parts strewn everywhere on the floor, she was certain the person they had originally seen was, in fact, such a person. He wasn't the member of there public that they were looking for, but then she figured those individuals were even hiding from the scavenger.

Before she could call out to the person, movement behind caused some of them to turn as a Mandalorian came sliding into the group. Several of her Rangers leveled weapons on [member="Mereel Vaun"] as he came to a stop and mentioned something about Sith. She stiffened and her grip tightened to White knuckles. Not visible ones, but she was certain that the strain was causing that effect.

"Never used them against a Sith," she said, her gaze moving past him as her HUD scanned the darkness. "These aren't lightsaber proof, though. We don't have access to that tech. We do know how to fight, though."

She tapped Jabir and two of the others on their shoulder and motioned forward in the direction of where she was assuming the Scavenger was. They meant no harm, but they would be wary in their approach all the same. Meanwhile, Ever turned back to the Mandalorian.

"Who are you, why is there a Sith here and where is he?"

D'vok yawned, looking up at the sky in desperation. It had been two days since he had gotten himself stuck on this planet, and now he was lost in the woods. he fell to his knees, exasperated, and sunk to the ground. he looked up at the trees above, and at the clouds, getting lost in thought for a bit, before feeling a cool breeze pass by. He noticed the trees swaying quietly in a direction. He rubbed his eyes, before getting to his feet and walking along a dirt path that seemed to wind on forever. After a bit of walking he reached into his pocket and retrieved a small flask, and tried to drink from it. Much to his dismay, it was empty. He threw it at a tree in anger. The wind seemed to pick up, making the trees dance more vividly throughout the forest. Soon, he came to a cliff of sorts, overlooking a clearing. There, in the distance, he saw an old ruined compound, possibly a temple of sorts. Maybe there were supplies there? Better than wandering aimlessly. He carefully maneuvered himself down the hill, before pressing on to the entrance. Clouds were starting to form overhead. He moved quickly inside, before pausing to listen for noises. He thought he heard voices but he wasn't too sure. He drew his trusty DL-44, and pressed into the darkness.
