Lilla smiled. Connections were often a source of embarrassment. Typically informants were found to have bad-luck stories and often a Jedi would look out for people that others might quickly despise. Maybe it was because Jedi — typically — wanted to see the good in people?
Having said this, she suspected that Seto’s past encounters were less based upon goodness of the heart than acting in his best interests. But the past was the past, and she was not going to berate him for it.
“A wise move,” she concurred, to his opening statement. “Hard to kill someone if you can’t see them. Or harder, at least.”
“And a display of Force often does the trick of attracting atttention. Being a Jedi polarises people. To some we’re a beacon of hope. To others, we’re the enemy. But people are rarely ambivalent towards us.”
They descended at pace, as the lift drew them nearer to the business end of the trouble that was brewing. They were truly walking into the Wampa’s cave.
Lilla closed her eyes momentarily and found the Force — calming herself and strengthening her connection to it.
“And it seems you have enough of a plan for both of us. I can throw up a shield to keep us apart from them — if need be — but I’d be keen to move through them as swiftly as possible, to get to speak to their leader, and see if we can talk some sense into them.”
