Almost everyone who is interested in WWII, or who's taken a look in any history book, has probably seen this picture.
Six days ago, on March 9th, 2014. Glenn McDuffie passed away in a nursing home. A few years ago, it was confirmed by Huston detectives that McDuffie was indeed the man in the photo. He was 86 years old. Now, it's not sad in that I would cry or get emotional. But it's a reminder that even some of the most iconic things in life come to pass.
