A Wandering Soul
Hi, there! While I'm still relatively new to the site, I'm already beginning to experience the frustrations of mingling drama, muse dynamics, and conflicting schedules - not all directly; I've managed to avoid most on my own, thankfully, but still it remains a noticeable hiccup in my intention to dedicate more active time and thought into my own character development alongside other writers. It's a reality we all face and it sucks, but I figured I'd take the initiative to look for people outright who are interested in sitting down with me and working out a long-term story which can be maintained through dedicated RP - tech and codex subs, new characters, crazy scenarios; name it, and I'm down for it.
I just want to attempt to establish a stable environment for me to work on a character, and I get no one has the perfect schedule; still, I think it's a good thing to build this off an established line of communication. I haven't been here for a month and still, I can recognize some people feel entitled to randomly vanish from threads without a word; I understand there are some cases where this can't be avoided, but with the private messaging system available here on the site, it's just coming off as rude and ultimately turning me away from the community in general, which I don't want - I like this place a lot. Even if it's a just a head's up the individual has lost interest, communication, especially in such a cooperatively-driven environment, strikes me as a key component; I don't know whether to hold it against the individual or to take it personally, I'm still very new.
I don't expect to earn sympathy, especially being as widely unknown as I am, and that's not what I'm trying achieve; I'm just hoping to find someone, through this advertisement, who feels similar - looking for partners in writing who are equally interested in finding mutually driven and resolute development for both themselves as a writer as well as their characters, outside of factions and larger, previously developed social circles. In a sense, just starting from scratch, with an idea we'd brew up and take off with, alongside whoever would be interested along for the ride. So if anyone's interested, feel free to let me know either here or via PM!
