The fact he was doing the landing was catching Shan by surprise but if Kahlil had faith in him, he knew he could do this. It was also helping to keep his mind focused on the task at hand, instead of wondering what the Sithspawn was going to be like. Just slowly bringing the Bastion in for a landing, Shan focused on the camp in the distance. Though his sense of curiosity was replaced with a strange sense of darkness. Even if his ability to sense through the Force wasn't great, Shan was able to feel the darkness around them.
Whilst Shan would have normally started to let some of his fear creep in, the moment he saw the medical center, it was like a flip had been switched for him. Instead of being worried about the Sithspawn, or worried about making a good impression on the Noble Masters, his focus was on the dead that seemed to be piling up, as dozens of thoughts were starting to run through his mind.
He listened to the person informing them about the "plague", but didn't make an effort to correct him on the Masters Jedi comment, as he had more important things on his mind...It reminded them of a plague they had previously yet the antidote wasn't working which possibly meant it was different in its structure...And it seemed to be happening to those who confronted the Sithspawn. Was it possible it was warning people to stay away from it because of the plague? No. No. That sounded more like a kindhearted thing to do, and from what Shan had heard about this sithspawn, he doubted that was the case.
Which then gave Shan a question, as he seemed to snap back into reality. "Since the bodies aren't being properly quarantined, I assume the disease isn't affecting most of the population? Only those who have gone after the..."beast?" In his eyes, the first way of dealing with an illness was to decide how it was being transmitted. Stop new casualties from building up, whilst you focus on treating current ones. He was in his element when it came to healing, or at least that's what he felt.
