A Brave New Beginning (GA, FWC)

How long had it been since the Embassy stood on Coruscant. An Embassy was the official representation of Alderaan on Coruscant. Faith who so loved history had pulled images of the former Embassy from the archives she was so happy to see the gardens that had once existed. Gardens on Coruscant imagine that bit of nature flourishing amount the mechanical, duracrete, and shining buildings.

coruscant.jpg
Faith looked from the viewport of her ship as it made the final approach to what would be the Alderaan Embassy location. Already the spires of a familiar Alderaan design reached up to the busy skylines. What she had not done yet was appoint the Ambassador for this grand opening. This building would be the beacon to everyone that Alderaan and the Free Worlds Coalition were here. That they were open to trade and alliances with anyone that would approach.

Faith had just finished her talks with Commenor the representative had taken back to [member="Lady Kay"] all that they would offer. Education exchange, and trade. Left on the table was medical supplies and military assistance. The one thing neither wanted to do was invite invasion but Faith wanted to ensure the safety of those under her care. Alderaan, and the Coalition.

"Mam we will be on the landing pad in moments" Ana who had been with Faith since her days in the Republic Senate smiled it was not hard to see the excitement on all the faces of the representatives.

Faith nodded, "I'm so excited.."

The ship turned and finally settled onto the landing pad, within moments they were all exiting. They were like children on the first day of school looking about in awe of Coruscant and the potential that lay ahead. The Embassy would not be theirs completely until the representative from the Galactic Alliance presented it. In the meantime work continued.

There are options available to everyone wishing to participate. Speak with any of the representatives that come from the Coalition, or are from Alderaan. Arrange additional contracts for goods and services.

Option: Someone is spying on the Alliance and the Coalition. Chase him/her down.

Option: Drinking in a cantina, there's rumors that Rekha Kaarde is thinking of opening another bar on Coruscant.

Option: Someone from the lower levels has stolen some of the supplies for the Embassy. Find them.

Bring your own ideas. This thread should be a fun thread after the invasion.

I may have missed members of FWC, I'm still updating my list.

"Security is tight tonight." Thinking to herself. Of course it was. Especially with her as the de-facto Head of Security for the official proceedings, unless somebody came to relieve her, and in the back of her might she wanted that to happen. If one of them died, got injured? Goodbye Security Officer hello poverty.

In her blank state, sipping on some water, another officer came to her. "Hana.". There was no response, just staring with an emotionless expression into the bottom of her glass. "Hana." and this time, he poked her. Not expecting it, she jumped slightly, enough to raise her slightly off of the seat that she was sitting on. "Sorry, must've been sleeping. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, they've arrived. You shou-.."

"I know what I'm supposed to be doing, something just doesn't feel right. Have you checked the building thoroughly?"

The man nodded.

"Must just be my paranoia then. Shall we go and greet them?"

He nodded again.

Something was off.

Regardless, the two exited the small establishment that was present near the Aldeeraani embassy and lined outside were Coruscanti security guards, unarmed, for now. If necessary, there were plenty of officers on standby who could arrive as a backup unit. Security and riot control vehicles were minutes away, and a crowd was beginning to gather. Whether they had heard about it or not, the previously abandoned building had not been in use for years, not officially anyway. Any damage done to it had since been repaired. It was the talk of the town, city, the building which looked very much out of place in the central district.

Hopefully, tonight would go well.

A diplomatic trip from Alderaan to Coreuscant. Well many historical trips from such a destination to the other were memorable. This time JR did not wish it to because of his father. He believed his father’s intentions were good. However others may not believe the same. They would have some good reason to be distrustful. The Darkside had a tendency to cloud the judgments of even the best of intentions. This was supposed to be a diplomatic mission of good will. Making your new friend uncomfortable would defeat the purpose of even going. So it was JR who convinced [member="Garith Darkhold"] not to come.

JR did promise his father he would keep his sister [member="Faith Organa"] safe. Also he was to convey a message from his father to the Galactic Alliance. It was one of peace and one of friendship. It was a message to say thank you, a thank you from one of the Last Lords of the Atrisan Empire. It was the actions of the Galactic Alliance that freed Atrisa from the ruminants of The One Sith.

Ana one of Faith’s political aids, she had just reported to Faith they would be landing soon. JR smiled and nodded to young lady. Just being friendly of course, it would have been rude if he did not notice Ana coming into the room. “I am to”, JR said to Faith…Faith who just said she was so excited.

From the moment that the Alderaanian diplomatic vessel had touched down, Alexander had disappeared and was among people once more. He would return to the embassy and talk with the others if needed and [member="Faith Organa"] knew that she need only give him one alert on his comm if it was important but Alexander intended on having some fun today and with the familiar case strapped on his back he vaulted down from a balcony onto another street and smiled.

Where he wanted to be was another matter alltogether considering that this planet was large but did not know much about it. He had been listening to rumors a few minutes before and none of thoe rumors sounded that interesting to him, making him sigh and take a seat in that street nearby the embassy. He would enjoy having some fun on this planet, but what to do, what to do. He could always go find some smugglers or thieves, correct them for their line of work but this was not a place where he had any say or could get off with a warning for vigilantism.

Tapping his hand on his leg he thought to himself and slid off the case so that he could place it beside him and listen to the crowds move past him while he sat there on the side of the street.

"Bombing?"

"No."

"Political Assassination."

"No."

"Then what's the point, master?"

The Alderaanian native gave a light-hearted sigh towards his droid compatriot, IG-456, "As the leader of an upstart criminal syndicate, let me explain to you that we don't just kill people." Dexen sarcastically informed "Coruscant is the most important hub of criminal activity in the galaxy, and this embassy is the perfect opportunity to peddle off some of our more...illicit...products to a new crowd."

He stepped into the lift with the droid and stood in silence for a minute or two until they reached the lower levels of the world-wide city. "Anyways, the Lieutenant of the Felswoop segment on Caamas has a contact here, an influential Black Sun member that could get us started on the black market here, with a small cut given to the Suns for 'protection'." Dexen explained, chuckling at the obvious shake-down.

The two left the lift and went on their way, hoping to avoid other members of the Free Worlds Coalition, due to Dexen's activities and secret crime lord status.

[member="Dexen Yash"]

But Dexen was on a hit list. Not a major one, just one that a cell of the Underground had been keeping tabs on. After all now big moves went down in the underbelly without someone hearing about it. She heard a bout it, and then she kept a tab on the name. A canvass of a few bars, and few more bar fights had led her to this point.

Was it the right way to do things? Breaking one knuckle at a time to get the answers she wanted? Probably not, but word on the street was that this guy was tied in with Black Sun elements and that made him a credible threat. Not that she overly cared about Faith Organna, but the woman did represent a vital bond of democracy and Liberty between GA and the Free Worlds.

That meant something for her.

"See anything?"

"Naw, here take these, my eyes are getting tired."

She took the binocs from her Mon Calamari friend and peered down the buildings into the alleys. They were looking for a guy with a top hat. How many Corsucanti wore top hats?

One of IG-456's mechanical eyes turned around till it faced behind him, scanning the area as they walked towards the rendezvous. "Master, I believe we are being hunted" The droid lightly spoke, as to not alert those that passed by the duo.

"How is that so? I thought Vercet scrubbed my bounties on Coruscant." Dexen questioned "Vercet got killed when a gangbanger shot him in a bar." The droid informed. The crime lord cursed under his breath, but didn't dare turn around.

"How many."

"Two; A Mon Calamari, and a Human female, most likely some bratty bounty hunter, she looks like one of those rebels that fights for democracy." IG announced, his voice dripping with condescension. Dexen gave him a deadpan, telling him now was not the time to joke around.

The Alderaanian directed himself and the droid into a crowded bar, hoping to lose the amateur hunters.

[member="Dexen Yash"]

Following into bar

"Yo they're moving."

"What?" She asked, between mouthful of a choco ration bar.

"Ya, they just crossed the hall and went into a bar. The Dancing Bantha."

"Alright feth it, let's go."

"You sure?" Worsh asked, blinking twice. He would've licked his lips except he was half fish so that was out of the question for him.

"Feth yes. If this guy is who the other guys say he is, we oughta keep him in eye shot."

"Ok."

They packed up their gear and rappelled down the face of the building. She left the ropes in place. They may come in handy later, they may not. Then they disconnected their winches with a snap, ascended some stairs and paused at the entrance to the bar. Her companion gave her an odd look.

"Why we stoppin'"

"Disguises." She muttered. Within her the force stirred, except it was a different part. It was a part beneath the narrow band of what most folks called the light and the dark. Just below the surface in a plane that was between the force and utter nothingness. And then as if by magic both their appearances changed.

Her hair went red, and her coat went brown. Her Mon Cal friend changed into a Bith. It was a decent trick, but it required focus.

"Don't let me drink too much, or it's all over bro."

"I got you," Worsh smirked. And then they entered.

Faith finally breathed a sigh of relief she couldn't put her finger on it but for some reason she had thought this all a dream, all a figment of her active imagination.

Faith wanted it to be perfect it was her hope that nothing went wrong, she found however that most often when she wished for it so much the exact opposite happened. She couldn't help but chuckle knowing that [member="Alexander Sannes"] had already slipped off to Coruscant to site see and who knew what else. Her newest addition to her staff was doing what she hoped everyone would do explore and seek out new adventures. Live life to its fullest not sit by at the bargaining table watching it slip through their fingers.

She looked over at her brother Garith who said he was excited too, hard to tell sometimes force users had that ability to hide their emotions so well. Garith was not really an exception to that course she had to take into consideration where he had spent 18 years. She wished she knew what else to do to help him. He had undertaking finishing the Jedi Temple on Alderaan. It was to serve as a beacon for all Jedi of any order, or any light side force user to come meditate and share whatever knowledge they had. Right now she was hoping to convince Garith to reach out to the Jedi Academy to see if they would care to hold some classes on Alderaan, in fact she really like for him to reach out to all the orders of the light side to know that Alderaan would welcome them to teach and learn in the new temple.

She knew about the message Garith carried for the Ambassador from the Galactic Alliance. A thank you from him regarding Atrisia. It warmed her heart to know that her father viewed what the GA did had freed Atrisia. As one of the last lords she hoped that it would convey friendship and hope to the GA. Hyogo was still standing and the hospital built by House Organa to the Atrisian people.

"A security detail I believe is supposed to meet us." Faith was walking now across the tarmac towards the building. The Alderaan Royal Guard would be stationed here when she was there, and [member="Myles Davorak"] would ensure that there were Embassy Guards placed. Embassy guards who would schooled in the etiquette required to handle awkward situations between Ambassadors.

She smiled brightly as she saw someone coming towards them.

While personally President Jaius Sovv of the Sullustan Council preferred the subterranean vistas of his native Sullust, every time he saw the seemingly endless Coruscant skyline it managed to take his breath away.

Over many decades of political service, the diminutive head of state had found the occasion to visit Galactic City several times throughout his career, and it was amazing to him how the Core world managed to change so much and yet remain so timeless despite it all. Jaius wasn't sure whether to be comforted or disturbed by the very real possibility just based on precedent alone that the beacon of the galaxy would go on shining just as brightly long after the flame that was the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances sputtered out, and everything they had worked so hard to build in this generation finally crumbled unto dust. Since the war had began, the old politician found a lot more almost absurdly dismal thoughts of that nature occurring to him, even to the point where they were beginning to spoil picturesque views such as this one.

The black government aircab puttered lazily through the skylanes, his staff for once apparently not feeling the pressure of his always busy schedule enough to pressure his motorcade. Instead of urging the driver to hurry through nightmarish Coruscant traffic his aides were all staring intently at datapads or murmuring into comm devices, which allowed the Sullustan President a little time to himself for a change. They had just come from visiting the newly reconstructed and just recently reopened non denominational Jedi Temple, and as a baseliner himself Jaius always felt a little nervous and buzzed while entering religious grounds, as if he had to be an even more perfect version of himself than life in the public eye already dictated. As he tried to calm himself down a little from what had been a thought provoking and in a way spiritual experience, he focused on what was next on what was sure to be a whirlwind tour of the Core. His aides had informed him it was the opening ceremony of the Alderaanian Embassy followed by a meet and greet with the Queen herself.

The life of a statesman...

"Who is meeting Her Majesty?" he asked suddenly, curious at the uncertain detail.

"Her Majesty who?" one of his aides asked, not looking up from her datapad.

"Come back to me, Aril," Jaius snapped his fingers at the young woman, "Her Majesty the Queen of Alderaan."

"Ah yes, of course. Um..." she tapped a few buttons on the device she was holding, "Officer Takeo of the Coruscant Security For-"

"Cops?" President Sovv interrupted, mildly scandalized at the notion, "The Queen of Alderaan is being met by cops?"

"Its a thing," the aides all said at once.

"I'm sorry?" Jaius asked.

"Sorry, Mister President, its a thing with Galactic City, apparently," Aril finally elaborated after they decided among themselves who would speak, "I guess they're like supercops or something? Best of the best, super professional, basically the closest thing to an honor guard that Coruscant's got right now, sir."

"Super cops," Jaius echoed, "In dress uniform?"

The aides nodded eagerly.

"Good," Jaius nodded, returning to stare out the duraglass to watch the unending lines of traffic criss crossing in just about every direction conceivable, "The Alderaanians aren't exactly known for their hubris, but if we can avoid offending them at first glance it would certainly help prospects for positive relations with this Coalition of theirs. And besides, their females have been known to be...unpredictable."

"I believe that's sexist, sir," Aril said more informatively than accusingly, her head back down and black eyes already glued once more to the datapad in front of her.

"You just haven't met enough Alderaanian women," President Sovv muttered softly to himself.

The feeling of Coruscant these days was of one just stepping back from the precipice. True, the liberation from the One Sith and the following incorporation into the Galactic Alliance had been some time ago. But while Galactic City was free, the space all around them had remained in varying states of anarchy. It was only recently that a concerted push by the Defense Fleet brought some additional stability to the region beyond the green zone of secured space that stretched down to Dulvoyinn and the Alliance proper. Before that, the people of the city planet had remained uncertain if the Alliance was truly here to stay, and what form things might take if it finally consolidated its hold on the sector.

Now that they were beginning to see that the Defense Fleet would continue to provide security enough for the shipping lanes to become safe and reliable once more, and were content to more or less let the planet govern itself, it was as if the people had let out a collectively held breath and progress truly began once more. More than that, for one of the few times in its existence Coruscant functioned not as the seat of an empire of republic, but as a sovereign planet left to govern for itself and decide its own laws. It was perhaps not surprising that the cultural melting pot of the galaxy had elected to remain so open in terms of its policies regarding trade and industry, but still it was a very exciting time to be walking the streets of Galactic City. With the surrounding sectors of the Core just beginning to rebuild, the ecumenopolis was the heart of a new frontier.

No better time than to sit down with old friends, and renew bonds of fellowship.

Delila wasn't the type of security to have smoothing relations between various ambassadors. She had done it before, younger days when she was perhaps more naive and willing to make a name for herself. Name had been made ages ago, although most had forgotten who she was. Not that it mattered to her in the slightest. Well....perhaps it should. Delila was tinkering with a PMC, a suggestion planted by old friend [member="Jorus Merrill"] .Currently her service was more or less a bodyguard and security consultant. Had to start somewhere.

Tonight was about watching guests at the Embassy of Alderaan. Grand opening of the facility, or re-grand opening if one wanted to get technical. Dressed in a fairly revealing purple dress, Delila's job tonight would be to mingle in with the crowd, keep an eye on the Queen and kick out various riff-raff. Hiding her blaster and vibroblade had been the hardest part of the night. Not as young as she used to be.

Heels clicked along the cobblestone path on the balcony. In true Alderaan style there were fine gardens,a manicured contrast to the metal and duracrete of the city. Leaning over the wall, blue-green eyes searched the area for any signs of trouble. Uniformed officers were running about at the arrival of the Queen and various Ambassadors.

"Don't miss that." She murmured to herself, slowly moving along.

After the Xander incident, Rashae was perhaps a bit more anxious. The Galactic Coop had said they would leave her be, but like they kept promises. The Doctor wasnt entirely sure Her Majesty knew about any of that, but wasnt going to mention it either. In fact, she planned to stay busy. The woman had delved into work more and more lately.

On a positive note, she had a bit more of an anchor these days in the form of one General Ardgal Raxis. The thought of that made her smile. Ensconsed with the entourage with her Majesty on their way to their New Embassy she had her Administrator walking with her a little behind Faith and his Highness Garith Darkhold JR. She was hard at work arranging hospital tours, talk to biotech companies, universities, academies and disease control facilities of Coruscant.

In Rashae's mind, she was Minister of Alderaan first, Doctor Rashae Lovous second and if there was time maybe Rashae could get some shopping done. Her schedule was already filling up. Seems the genetics department wanted to pick her brain on a few issues. Not that she was willing to give up trade secrets but maybe it was something simple.

“The new hospital on Alderaan is nearly finished. Yes a grande opening is being planned. It looks fantastic, better than the architectual model. Absolutely Commissioner, I would be happy to. Please coordinate with my Administrator, Clarice. “ As she was on her Coms with this diplomat or that official.

“Clarice, Commissioner line 1, try and fit him in somewhere, “ She said to the very organized lady.

“Yes Minister. You got busy quick here in Coruscant.” Clarice was in her organized glory.

“Seems so Clarice. Embassy is going to be a good step towards Her Majesty's goals and the goals of this Ministry. I really hope I can get some shopping done. I think the new Champarelles lines are out!! “ One of her favorite designers. “I missed the fashion show of theirs. I wonder if I can see their next Couture line. “ The Minister did a small little sound of excitement.

“I believe there is an orchid here I must see also. Maybe I can beg for a cutting.” That was on her to do list as well.

“Your schedule is pretty stacked. “ Clarice said looking at it. “How many days are we here?”

“I am not sure, but I hope I can carve in a little time. There are some five star restaurants here that are to die for. “ She couldn't remember the last time she ate on coruscant.

Doctor Rashae Lovous was dressed in a light blue Diplomatic attire with emblems of Alderaan, FWC and the Ministry of Medicine. Those sharp ice blue eyes would regard those meeting the Alderaan delegation. Her head turned this way and that a tad on the nervous side. Perhaps unfounded but the nightmares still hadnt died down. Still the polite smile was ready for those that greet them. She spotted Myles Davorak which reassured her a great deal.

EN ROUTE TO CORUSCANT
EGS Starhawk

Dalton Eldyr, President of Eriadu, leaned back in his seat aboard the Eriaduan Guard Ship that had whisked him across the galaxy towards Coruscant. Word had reached him across the expanse of Galactic Alliance territory that the Alderaanian led Free Worlds Coalition was setting up their embassy on that planet, what had once been the center of governance, commerce, and society for the galaxy as a whole. Dalton approved wholeheartedly, his sense of history might not be the greatest in the galaxy, but he felt there was something truly momentous about this.

The planet had sat in the grasp of the One Sith for far too long before the Alliance had liberated it. Since then, it had grown to become a jewel once again, albeit one that did not shine quite as brightly as it once had. Years of trading hands and bloodshed left many mars on the surface, ones that would take many more years to remedy.

"What is our ETA?" Dalton asked, looking up from a tablet he held in his lap. The text of a report could be seen on the screen, the script in a precise aurebesh that only computers and highly skilled calligraphers could produce. Were one to read it, they would see that it was a casualty list. After the First Order assault on Eriadu, the planet had seen a significant uptic in volunteers to both the Eriaduan Guard and the Galactic Alliance Defense Force. Even though Dalton knew the war had been inevitable, he took great pains to read and know as much about those who gave their lives for their planet and the Alliance as possible, and then devoted much of his time to speaking with those who were left behind by the tragedies of war.

"We'll be reaching Coruscant orbit in twenty minutes, and touch down at our compound about ten minutes after that." Brigadier Thadius Moore replied from across the cabin. The cyborg was one of Dalton's top officers in the Eriaduan Guard, and had tied his systems into the flight systems of the corvette they occupied.

"Very good." Dalton reached across the armrest of his seat and slipped a bottle of water from the secured holder in the table beside him. He continued after he took a sip and replaced it. "Alert the Alliance forces in the system, and send a message to the Alderaanian team that we will be a little behind schedule, with my apologies."

"I already have sir." The Brigadier replied with a self-satisfied smile that made Dalton want to throw the bottle of water at him. Knowing the soldier, Dalton assumed he'd just catch it and have a drink from it with a simple thank you.

Thadius and Dalton had served together, when the latter had been in the intelligence apparatus of the Alliance. Thadius had been a special operations officer then, often serving as backup for operations in which Dalton would be at high risk. The two had grown close through many dangers, and Thadius had been one of Dalton's first picks for a Cabinet post upon his ascension to the Presidency. The ornery bastard had turned him down until Dalton had come to ask in person.

"Of course you have." Dalton chuckled softly, then glanced back down to the report in his lap.

"There is such a thing as caring too much, Dalton." Thadius remarked. He rarely used first names in a public setting, the fact of which had Dalton's head coming back up with an eyebrow quirked. Thadius shrugged. "It's true, I've seen Commanders drive themselves into an early retirement by it."

"That may be true for battle commanders, Thad." Dalton replied. "But some of these names...some of these people, leave no one behind. If I don't make the effort to care, to learn about them, then who can honor their sacrifice. Who will remember them?"

Thadius was quiet for a moment. "Dalton, does anyone forget the nameless soldiers that are found on the field? The ones too badly damaged to be identified?"

"No, of course not..." Dalton replied.

"Even if no one is saying their names, their sacrifices are not in vain. Every last one of them was a volunteer, and you know as well as I how hard those trainers push people to go back home. They only let those who understand and still commit to graduate and take up arms." Thadius continued, cutting his President off mid thought.

"I know that. Still, this is the least I can do. I can't stand beside them in the field, but I can have their back everywhere I go." Dalton said with a firmness in his voice. This was a conversation that was almost as old as the conflict between the First Order and Eriadu, one that had become almost ritual between the two since Dalton took office.

"And We know that, sir." Thadius said, emphasizing the We to mean the whole of their service.

They stared at each other for a few moments, then Dalton blanked the screen and set the tablet down. He reclined the seat a little bit and closed his eyes.

What felt like the instant after he closed his eyes, he felt Thadius's hand on his shoulder.

"Mr. President, we've reached our compound. We have an aircar waiting."

Myles heard confirmation that the Queen has landed on the strip, now walking along the tarmac. He would go out to meet her and make sure the rest of the staff made it into the Embassy safely.

Another objective this evening would be to make contact with [member="Delila Castillon"] . Myles made contact with Delila in regards to being a third party contractor for this special occasion. Her accolade list and job history was remarkable and Myles couldn't turn her down.

Yes yes, all in due time Myles. Remember, one thing at a time.

Anxiety and excitement was flowing through his veins, he felt almost young again being at arrangements like this. This evening reminded him of the dinner parties he attended at the Theed Palace, years ago.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking onto the tarmac with one of his soldiers. They approached the vicinity of the Queen, he and the soldier would not bow out in the open due to potential threats observing them, instead Myles addressed the Queen verbally.

"Your Highness, I hope your trip went rather well. Things are just starting to kick off here, not a grand opening without the Queen of course".

Myles nodded and offered a quick hello to the other staff and personnel that were accompanying the Queen.

Turning around, he and the Triad Soldier starting walking back to the Embassy that lay before them. Carefully examining the area with a keen eye and teamwork they spotted nothing dangerous. Myles had posted men elsewhere in the Embassy but the bulk remained on Alderaan, running interference and investigating some strange occurrences.

The Embassy would reflect Alderaanian culture to the tee, from lush landscaping to exquisite art that decked the halls. It was truly a sight to the common Coruscanti.

Being the newly appointed Director of Security, Myles had alot of work to do to ensure that the guests enjoyed their stay here and that there was no riff-raff.

Once inside, I will attempt contact with Delila and see if she made it in alright, then from there, position the Embassy guards and run surveillance around the perimeter. Then food would be nice.
Myles chuckled once more to himself as he continued escorting the Queen and company.

From her balcony perch, it seemed perimeter security was slowly setting up. Personally she was a little concerned about the rooftops surrounding them. Nearly impossible to secure such a thing though, especially in a busy area. Delila doubted the Alderaan Embassy had the deep enough pockets to monetarily bribe their neighbors to shut down operations for the evening. Nothing a competent perimeter security couldn't handle. Hopefully.

Heading back inside, heels clicked along the highly polished floor, moving quickly towards the elevator systems. She would be slightly late in meeting her intended guardee for the evening, glancing over the buildings had set her back slightly. Polished fingernail depressed the elevator button, waiting.

Critical eye passed over an Embassy Guard as he passed.

"Might want to shine those shoes better next time."

Thankfully for the Guard the elevator doors opened, allowing her access to the landing pad in which the VIP guests were arriving. It didn't take long for her to arrive, immediately searching which one she was to shadow through the evening. Black hair...or dark brown....blue eyes. Delila skirted the crowd until she found her target looking mildly nervous. Had to be the one, if not she would apologize and find who was really the good Doctor.

Moving quickly to the side of the woman, Delila fell instep with the small moving group with ease.

"Doctor Lovous? Delila Castillon, pleasure." There was a small pause. "I'll be your shadow for the evening. Perimeter security is shaping up and where you move, I follow. I was briefly informed of a certain situation you were recently involved with."

"Feel free to move about tonight, you won't even notice me."

Garith, under it all, he felt a tad overwhelmed. It had all to do with his adjustment time. It had not been long since he had got back, from that place to here. A place where life did not feel like life to JR. To here, Coruscant! He felt all of the life around him. It was almost too hard to find his breath. He kept smiling though. That and he stayed close to [member="Faith Organa"].

Faith did not realize that her brother was having any difficulties, he rarely showed them and she was focused on the excitement of the re-opening of the Embassy. She looked over at him and smiled hoping he was alright.

Myles was approaching she nodded her greeting, "Myles everything went very well. A short trip actually from Alderaan to here. Now you've been here two weeks rubbing elbows with all the Alliance folks and preparing for this very day. So, you tell me. Are we ready?"

They passed through the first set of doors into the Embassy immediately the air cooled and the soft tones of a popular group from Alderaan could be heard in the hall. It was the first thing she noticed it would likely be the first thing anyone noticed coming from the landing area.

Faith could hear [member="Rashae"] talking to someone, Faith it seemed had given the good doctor quite bit to do. So far she heard no complaints from the Minister in fact Faith believed the Doctor was enjoying herself. Faith paused slightly to look back at the Minister, it was then she noticed there was a woman ( [member="Delila Castillon"] )with Rashae that she did not notice before. Faith knew everyone who had been on the ship.

Faith wanted to ask who she was but Ana chimed in, "All the preparations are in motion for the opening."

Faith made a mental note to ask, "Well Ana since Myles is here, the security of the Embassy must be in tact otherwise he wouldn't have allowed me to come." She smiled again teasing the Director of Security just a little he took his job very seriously, "I say open the doors and let the GA in to see what we've done with the building, and ensure that they find their ways to the garden."

It was important they see the garden, why? Because it was beautiful and in a few hours when night came and the lights turned on it would be a most tranquil elegant spot to walk through.
Ana was looking at something, "Faith seems several dignitaries from other systems will be on hand tonight."

She walked slowly now through the halls as they made for the main entrance. The halls curved slowly leading her down to the main hall. It was meant to resemble water the hues of different blues on the floor the stark white walls the clouds. It was like flying. "That's great Ana, send them my regards and that I look forward to seeing them tonight"

As they entered the upper level hall Faith walked to the banister and looked over, the spiral downwards made her dizzy. She could see the floor below inter locking circles to show unity that is what the Embassy was promote unity. She blinked slightly.

Faith had one other problem tonight, she had not found someone to be the Ambassador to Coruscant. It plagued her mind as she tried to figure out who to choose. Andulf was already Ambassador to the Republic, Claire was Ambassador to the First Order, and JR had taken the mantle of going to Naboo, now whether he wanted to be the Ambassador they had not discussed. But he had the added responsibility of the Temple. Alexander would handle the Arts. Laira was not ready for this position. Neither was Theo. Oh there she was again distracted by who could fill the spot. Faith shook her head and cleared away the thoughts.

She then began the descent to the main floor looking about at the architecture the elegant lines, the contrast of light and color, all while exuding calm to any who walked the corridors.

Myles was eager to give her the results she wanted.
"Absolutely your Highness, we are on schedule and ready to show the GA what we have here."

Davorak looked over his shoulder and saw a familiar face....Doctor [member="Rashae"] Lovous. Minister of Medicine, of course Myles was familiar with the woman. He worked for her briefly before landing this Director position

"Ahhhh Doctor Lovous, lovely to see you again, how is that hospital coming along?" He knew the Doctor didn't fancy social gatherings that much but he would try to engage her to break the ice so to speak.

Walking further along the tarmac, approaching the door Myles signaled to [member="Delila Castillon"] as well.
"Ahhh Miss Castillon, your timing is impeccable. Glad to have you aboard, you look rather distinguished this evening"

Entering the grounds of the Embassy, the company passed through the gardens which was a magnificent sight to observe. It seemed as though everything was perfect. Couldn't plan for a better evening. He thought to himself.

Myles chuckled along with the Queen. Great sense of humor.

"She is right Ana, I wouldn't have her come unless proper preparations were in place. I wouldn't have let anyone arrive here for that matter." He teased Ana, not for spite but for good humor.

Myles knew that the Queen would be questioning who Delila was. It was his job to inform the Queen of such matters.
"Your Highness, this is Delila Castillon. I hired her as a third-party contractor for this event. Her records are near perfect and I couldn't resist the extra help. No complaints and no warrants for her, so she is with good people. I hope this doesn't displease you"

Yes it was a spontaneous decision but Myles couldn't ferry all his men here. Alderaan would be at risk for more guerrilla activity. Besides she played the part well and came dressed as a normal socialite. Looking good too.

The Director of Security however, was dressed more for the field. He was wearing neutral colored clothing but each piece of garment had a utilitarian purpose to better aid him in carrying his gear or hide tools from normal eyes.

As the group proceeded further, Myles felt accomplished, getting this far and having something consistent in his life....a steady contract. He would work for the Queen as long as she needed him. The other aspects of his life like a social life or companions--not so stable but he was accepting that. He was pushing 50 soon, who would have time for an old codger like himself?

CORUSCANT!!!

Wow, when she first arrived in this part of the galaxy she arrived on Coruscant. then the Sith came...oh man...thunder bolts and lightning very very frightening!!! BOOM the Lucky Lady Bar that she had been given was taken.

Just.

like.

that.

Homeless. She escaped wearing her ewok slippers, her pajamas and carring a stuffed toy. A few credits, everything else had been burned to some ashes. She ended up on Abregado Rae working at a diner...thank god for diners and [member="Dekkan Fray"] the old codger softie. Rekha smiled at thoughts of Dekkan he really had been a god send, taking in her in, and making sure she had work, setting her up with [member="HK-36"] . Yep. she was once again the Lucky Lady which was why she was here on Coruscant, she wanted to rebuild the Lucky Lady.

She pushed up the dark glasses she wore to hide the red of her green eyes. She had hit a party on the way here, in a very round about way. She needed a nap but first she wanted to go and see what stood where the Lucky Lady was.

Rekha hailed a cab the driver a mouthly well worn droid make her smile as she gave him the address. They were moving through traffic Rekha paid no attention when the cab slid one way then the other or when something made a blaring noise, nope she could sleep through anything.

"You know I usually don't ask for second opinions, but perhaps having the place surrounded in police officers is a given for a terrorist attack? Stay near here, but for God sake don't intimidate the public." Some things needed ironing out, especially having a second thought. Though, the paranoia of having the place swamped was not a bad idea. Given the Galactic City's past, people were still on edge. Looking down to her communicator and turning around, making head-way to the entrance, she spoke on a secure channel to officers posted in the area. "Spread out everyone. Don't want to exasperate a terrorist attack."

Hana had no interest in engaging with the Aldeeraanian ambassadors, business people or contractors, at least for now. Embarrassing herself wasn't on her schedule, and nor was tarnishing the reputation of the Galactic Alliance or the Coruscant Security Force. Patiently, she stood inside the waiting hall, for somebody perhaps a little more qualified than herself in these particulars. After all, she was but a police officer. Exchanging small talk with various guards, onlookers and even trading smiles, it was a plain affair, at least for now.
