  • Description: A tight knit unit of assault troopers, the Phoenix Platoon have been together since the 2nd Great Hyperspace War, slowly gaining numbers and transitioning out members. The listed roster are the current members.

COMBAT INFORMATION: The combination of Unit Size and Availability below is the indicator of how numerous your unit is. Stormtroopers for instance would be considered Large/Common, while Rogue Squadron would be a Small/Unique unit. Majority Force User Units are prohibited from being Common or Large. The stronger and more specialized your unit is (FU or NFU), the smaller and less common it should be.
Strengths:
  • Like They Didn't See It Coming: The Phoenix Platoon made a name for themselves being able to shatter enemy fortified lines, and over run enemy battalions by themselves. Made up of handpicked veteran troopers from throughout the GADF, the 3rd Shocktroopers are a sucker punch hits the front line with a ferocity that even the sith could appreciate
  • A Force of Nature: All of Phoenix Platoon are at least somewhat force sensitive. While none are cut out to become jedi, they are trained to resist mind control, and ignore pain, as well as hide their sensitivity to the best of their abilities.
  • Elite Training: The Phoenix Platoon are, in theory, all trained to do everyone else's job. While this takes months to do so, it means that the platoon is entirely redundant should someone go down.
  • The One and Only: Phoenix Platoon is a unit that has quite the storied history. Just the mention of them on the battlefield can spook enemy forces.
  • Do The Impossible, See The Invisible: Phoenix Platoon is known in the command structure as "The Crazy Ones", due to their pension for taking on, and completing seemingly impossible missions.
Weaknesses:
  • Where Everybody Knows Your Name: The Phoenix Platoon is incredibly tight knit. The loss of even a single member can cripple moral in the long term, even if it causes the men to fight that bit harder in the short term.
  • Objective: Survive: The Phoenix Platoon aren't trained to deal with massive armored formations. If you're throwing a platoon at a tank battalion, you're probably better off calling in the Hellstompers.
  • Well Known: The notoriety of the Phoenix Platoon can be a double edged sword. Sure, it might mean that the enemy surrenders sooner, or it might mean they double up their defenses if they know they're coming.
  • The Lost Battalion: Despite what other units will tell you, the Phoenix Platoon aren't self sufficient to the point of autonomy. They function as part of a larger army just like everyone else, and can be overrun if they aren't supported.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Established during the Second Great Hyperspace War to combat Maw Fortifications, the 3rd Mechanized Shocktroopers were put together as a quick response force for lightning engagements. Since then, the Phoenix Platoon has kept it's moniker "Hit 'Em Like Lightning, With the Firepower of a Phoenix"

With the war against the Enclave, and now against the Sith, the Phoenix Platoon was once more given orders to move out, ready to show the world why the GADF has
