SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Main cannon meant for light anti-tank vehicles or light tanks, this tank gun will tear apart any kind of armor put in front of it, vehicle or otherwise.
  • Targeting systems are derived from the Eagle Eye and Hawk Eye family of targeting systems, this utilizes a laser rangefinder alongside computers and other technologies to give the range, velocity, and even generate an artificial lead for targets at a distance on the move. This makes generating a firing solution on enemy targets as simple as lasing and holding a lase on targets for three seconds before engaging the target.
  • Features revamped recoil system to reduce recoil load on the weapon and vehicle allowing it to be built onto most vehicle chassis that are large. This however lowers the rate of fire due to the needed extra time to dissipate recoil per shot.
  • Cased Ammunition means you use different rounds for different targets, maximizing effectiveness. Rounds utilize the newer technologies of MK.II CAD making them allow for higher pressures, which mean greater velocities with reduced size.
  • First ammunition type is APFSDS (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot). This round shoots a Phrik-A fin stabilized dart with an osmium core intended to pierce armor using pure force of kinetic energy. This is achieved through velocity of the round in flight, weight of the dart itself, and the small surface area of the tip of the round with the rigidity to transfer all of its kinetic energy to generate the maximum amount of punching power over a pinpoint surface area. Internal effects of this round after it penetrates enemy armor is the generation of spalling, wherein the armor of the vehicle is used against the crew by turning it into shrapnel alongside the overpressure of the round flying through the target.
  • Second ammunition type is HEMP-FS (High Explosive Multi-Purpose Fin Stabilized). This round is a large fin stabilized DEX chemical charge that can be set to have a contact, delay, or radar fuse to deal with a variety of targets from light and medium armor, infantry in cover or in the open, to even low flying gunships that get low enough to be caught in the cannon's firing arc. This round achieves this through a two stage explosive charge, the first being a massive High Explosive charge to either kill exposed targets with sheer overpressure, rock vehicle crews and disable shields, or otherwise cause massive destruction. The second stage is a liquid jet of tungsten is created by superheating a small disk of the material with the secondary explosive and then propelling said jet of liquid metal through the armor plating of the target. This is less effective against heavier armors, but against most other targets is quite effective and a terrifying weapon.
  • Third ammunition type is Cannister rounds. These rounds turn the massive cannon into a shotgun filled with 9mm diameter, 23cm long darts meant to pulverize enemy infantry in the open and shred light cover and vehicles. Obviously this is the least effective against armor, but also the most effective against soft targets as it will mulch most of what gets in the way of it.
  • Fourth and final type of ammunition is Ionnite-A Cannister rounds. This is a round that is similar in design and operation to HEMP-FS except with a key difference. That difference being that instead of a High Explosive based chemical payload where it destroys the target, it instead carries a primary payload of Ionnite-A that is meant to be detonated with a primary charge to cause it to generate a small particle field of Ionnite-A to disable electronics, shields, and other technology in use by the enemy that isn't properly shielded (or is unable to be shielded by its nature). This dust cloud also has an added effect of generating anti-charges to other forms of electromagnetic radiation, causing blaster and similar energy weapon shots to have reduced effectiveness when shooting through this field due to Ionnite and Ionnite-A's nature of generating anti-charges to incoming energy (this includes those of the magnetic spectrum, commonly used in blaster, laser cannon, and turbolaser technologies).

STRENGTHS
  • It's still a Tank Cannon - This gun hits like a bus, and against everything. The only thing that might give this cannon trouble is targets with deflector shields and even then, it can swap to a round specifically designed for that and utterly ruin someone's day.
  • It's lighter (in recoil) than a standard cannon - This gun was designed to be lighter than the standard heavy tank cannon and still able to do damage against all enemy armor. You want to mount this on a light tank? Go for it. An APC you need a big gun for? Too easy. Want to set up an em-placed gun position against oncoming attackers? Do it. This weapon can be used for everything.

WEAKNESSES
  • Not as big - This weapon doesn't have as much oomf behind it as the standard, much larger tank cannons. While this doesn't mean it has less power to punch through armor, it means that the round in question has less payload to deliver to kill the target. It can certainly disable the enemy vehicle in the first shot, but killing it outright, little bit harder.
  • Single fire - Cannon is literally a single shot then reload weapon. You aren't going to rapid fire this thing, so you need to make every shot count.

DESCRIPTION
This tank gun is designed for lighter vehicles such as APCs, light hover tanks, and other light to medium sized vehicles that are meant for fighting tanks. This weapon does this by having rounds that are capable of reaching velocities that are able to punch through most standard and heavy vehicle armors, but at the cost of its ability to kill what's on the other side of the tank's or vehicle armor. That doesn't change the fact that this is still a 105mm tank round meant to cripple or kill vehicles in armored warfare. And with this weapon being able to be mounted on most vehicles that aren't stupid light, and with the ability to integrate this with a crewless turret, you have a very versatile weapon system that's able to engage and destroy enemy armor at range. And used properly, you can make whatever is on the other side of this gun regret the day it was forged, or born.
