The New Imperial Order is the modern successor and inheritor to the legacy of the Galactic Empire. However, its origins and path it has walked diverge heavily from that of the traditional Imperialist factions. Most closely resembling the Fel Empire of old, the New Imperial Order had carved itself from a bloody civil war with their Sith Imperial counterparts before eventually emerging as a superpower on the Galactic geopolitical stage. However, power does not come with comfort. Tangling with the flames of Galactic War, fraying relations with once allies and internal unrest- the Empire faces its greatest trials to come.

Below are the Empire's 'reigns', the differing and distinct eras of the Empire's rule- offering a glance at the complete narrative of the New Imperial Order from its foundation to now. Though much history has been written to this point, the Empire's story is yet to be complete and the opportunity to mold the future of the New Order is as ripe as ever.

THE DARKNESS FALLS

Originating within the vaunted halls of the ruined capital of the Empire of the Hand, Irveric Tavlar, once a prominent member in the General Staff of the Sith Imperial Army before being sentenced to exile following his outburst at the Sith Assembly and the founding members of the New Imperial Order made their ‘Declaration of Defiance’, instating open rebellion against the Sith Empire and founding a newly independent state outside of its borders.

Following a series of rapid conquests against scattered and disillusioned adversaries in what would bcome to known as ‘the Imperial Outlands’, the Order began its first assault unto the Sith Empire. Commonly referred to as the Braxant Campaign, the Imperator Irveric Tavlar along with Lord Executor Vaulkhar Zambrano and the sith lord Kor Vexen contrived a plan which would allow the New Imperial Order to gain a swift strategic foothold to assault the Sith Imperial capital world of Bastion and utilize the symbolic victory to bargain for peace and more concessions from the Sith Empire.

After gathering an alliance against greater foes with their core-ward neighbors in the Galactic Alliance, the Civil War would truly begin.

It immediately began with a joint force of the Imperial Knights and the Order’s few Sith allies unto the icy crystalline world of Mygeeto for which they were subjected to a siege for a few weeks to hold the bulk of the Sith Imperial’s defending forces in the region before the Imperator Irveric Tavlar led his 501st Legion to seize the planet of Muunilinst, focusing its efforts at the battle of Harnaidan which resulted in a decisive New Imperial victory though left the territory gained in horrid conditions after Emperor Kaine Zambrano ordered the two worlds saturation bombed to prevent the New Imperial Order from establishing a front on either.

They pressed on, however, braving a grueling defeat in the newly gained world of Borosk, the New Order assaulted Dubrillion, initially bearing the brunt of a first wave of the assault meant to gauge the Sith Imperial numbers present while also opening a breakthrough in their orbital defenses to allow Imperial Army assets to land on the surface. Successful, the New Imperial Order was able to overpower the defenses on the surface of Dubrillion and gain control of the world, bringing them one step closer to the Sith Imperial throne world of Bastion.

Such would serve as the venue for the New Imperial Order’s next military action. It was, in many ways the military magnum opus of the Third Imperial Civil War. With the full strength of the Empire and its allies bearing down on the capital, the most fortified world in the Galaxy was sacked in part due to the chaos caused by Operation Kyber Dark, the New Imperial initiated a purge of all Sith present on the battlefield.

At the end of the assault, Bastion fell at the hands of the New Imperial Order, leading to calm in the Third Imperial Civil War as the Sith Empire attempted to lick its wounds and the New Order consolidated its space to prepare another offensive against their existential adversary as they continued to purge any and all Sith they could come across.

The storm calmed, for now.

NO STEP BACK

As the Third Imperial Civil War began to wind down, it would not usher the end of strife for the Imperial state. Not long after the First Battle of Bastion, questions began to stir about the relationship between the New Imperial Order and the Galactic Alliance in the time of peace. This culminated in what could only be described as the Yinchorri Crisis, where the Galactic Alliance managed to attack unmarked Imperial assets acting belligerent in a planetary conflict between the Yinchorri’s two ruling castes before eventually a peace agreement was settled between Chancellor Adhira Chandra and Imperator Irveric Tavlar, resulting in Yinchorr being brought into the New Imperial Order as the two governments prepared for a re-escalation of war with the Sith Empire following a break down of peace negotiations and the establishment of the ‘Elder Compact’, an alliance brokered between the Sith Empire, Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Silver Jedi Concord which immediately threatened the sovereignty of the two states, acknowledging so bilaterally- they found peace and gained one another’s trust once more for the coming storm ahead.

The first battle in the resurge of the Third Imperial Civil War was the Devastation of Dantooine. Sending advance warning to his native homeworld, Irveric Tavlar led the Imperial Armed forces into war once more with the assistance of the New Jedi Order led by Ryv Karis into a slaughter. Emerging from a lengthy trip through hyperspace, the Confederate and Sith Imperial forces manage to stave off the coalition as they put Silver Jedi humanitarians, civilians, and anything willing to clutch a blaster between themselves and the New Order, resulting in the incapacitation of the Grand Vizier Tyrell Paxxus and the eventual defeat of the New Imperial Order.

However, the overcommitment at Dantooine by the Sith managed to create a gap in which an expeditionary force of the Alliance and Empire was able to take the world of Korriban, seizing an important world within sight of Dromund Kaas. The Sith Empire retorted to the strike on Dantooine with an assault on the now New Imperial capital of Bastion, with Irveric Tavlar bewilderingly nowhere in sight for the first time in a major engagement within the Third Imperial Civil War, the siege and assault was broken by the Lord Executor Rurik Fel who alongside Major General Willan Tal and Major Erskine Barran took control of the battle and forced the Sith off.

Following victory at Bastion, the New Imperial Order began its second major military offensive against the Sith, designating it ‘Pentastar Campaign’.

The Pentastar campaign began with a far-reaching offensive deep into the territory of the Sith Empire, with a task force of the 501st and the Sons of Mandalore veering behind enemy lines and sacking the world of Helgard before continuing the offensive with the failed assault on Generis led by Lord Executor Fel of the Imperial Knights and the Galidraani Free State led by Willan Tal in an attempt to create a salient closer to the New Imperial borders.

The very same coalition of forces managed to reconsolidate and move toward a deep assault on the planet of Serenno, the native homeworld to the long-standing Imperial Warlord Lucien Dooku, and after hard fighting in the capital of Carannia, braving Sith saturation bombing, the New Imperials seized victory.

The victory at Serenno saw another change in Emperor of the Sith Empire, with Braxus Zambrano abdicating the throne to leave it to a non-Zambrano for the first time in its history, offering it to Arctus Silmar who after a brief de-escalation, saw to resurge the Third Imperial Civil War once more by attempting to take the critical financial center of Muunilinst. In the Second Battle of Muunilinst, the New Imperials were able to hold their ground and retorted in kind with an assault on the Sith fortress world of Vjun- able to swiftly seize the world to encircle and cut off a massive swath of Sith space come to later be known as the ‘Iron Ring’.

Shortly after, the Sith Empire collapsed under the weight of the Civil War and the Sith Schism and the now New Empire remained the sole victor. Officially setting its capital on the historical Imperial fortress world of Bastion, the Empire was able to finally reign in an era of peace that was short-lived when the Brotherhood of the Maw emerged to destroy the Chiss homeworld of Csilla, being so close to Imperial space, the New Imperial Order was heavily involved in its defense only to wind up defeated on the surface and orbital battles before the planet was annihilated.

As a result, the Imperator Irveric Tavlar called the governments of the Galactic Alliance, Silver Jedi Concord, Ashlan Crusade and First Order to Ravelin to sign the Bastion Protocols- engaging in a wide-reaching anti-Sith alliance that would combat the darkness and its influences across the Galaxy.

Thus began, the Second Hyperspace War.

DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR

N5cG5gd.png
While the Empire set its sights on a foreign enemy once more, the shadows of the Empire concocted a villain within its own organs of power. For the first time in the Empire’s short existence, a planet and its overlord declared open sedition against the Imperator Irveric Tavlar. A Sith, lingering in the shadows since the victory at Bastion, Lord Halketh now deemed Darth Caelitus sought to fight a war of rebellion to rip Carlac from the Imperial heart and making true on the vow of treason, managed to successfully assassinate the Imperator via suicide bombing by one of his undead agents.

Immediately following, the Lord Executor Rurik Fel seized emergency executive power in the wake of Tavlar’s assassination before personally leading the dogged assault on Carlac. A bloody battle ensued and while the Empire was badly beaten, Carlac managed to stay beneath the reign of the Iron Sun when Rurik declared himself Emperor and set his successor, Noel Strasza to purge her native homeworld of Caelitus’s scourge.

Not long after, the Maw managed to sack the Galactic Alliance’s capital of Coruscant within the conflict, a paltry force of the Empire was there to defend however, Fel’s disillusionment with the Alliance’s inability to respond and beat back the threat resulted in a swift end to the short-lived alliance between the New Imperial Order, the Galactic Alliance and the Silver Jedi Concord reigned in under Tavlar was dissolved by Fel, citing an inability to trust in the ability and competency of their allies by claiming they were inept in their ability to not only conduct warfare but manage their states at all.

The Maw continued its ravenous advance, however, striking at the once Imperial capital of Nirauan. Fighting aphyric, eventually victorious effort- the Empire was bloodied in the attack before retorting all their own with a siege and surprise attack unto Darth Caelitus’s fortress world of Csaus, destroying the Citadel Caelitus before returning to the Empire to continue to wage war.

ISB AGENTS, KUAT CRISIS BRIEFING, 874 ABY

REIGN OF AUTHORITY
870-ONGOING
Emperor Rurik Fel
Second Hyperspace War

AN IRON WILL

N5cG5gd.png
Forcibly separated from its extragalactic relationships, the Empire stood mostly alone. By the iron will of Fel, they would march forward of their own accord. But ahead of them was a path most treacherous. As the Maw continued to be a pervasive, existential threat- so too did relations grow frigid with former allies in the Alliance. Tensions began to swell, culminating in the first flashpoint between the two powers since Yinchorr.

Kuat. With heavy industrial and commerce ties to the Empire, in spite of Fel's drive for self-sufficiency and autarky, it was an invaluable resource and with the forever burning will of defiance against his alliance overlords, the Lord Regent Julius Loghain declared succession with the veiled backing of the Empire, the bloody revolt pairing Stormtrooper against Alliance Defense Force for the first time in hatred. A terrorist attack against an Imperial vessel drew the arms of both sides to fire as the two factions managed to negotiate a tentative peace.

All the while, sedition brews within the Empire proper. Not only does the spark of rebellion grow with each month from the ever-elusive 'Rebel Alliance' and its associated partisan groups, but the tightening grip of Fel's reign around the ruling Moffs of the Empire has made the loyalties of those who hold planetary power within the New Order be scrutinized and questioned by a government haunted by the shadow of sedition from Darth Caelitus.

Even still, war rages with the Brotherhood of the Maw and with the Imperial Armed Forces might have proven themselves the mightiest fighting force in the Galaxy following the Third Imperial Civil War, the armor was beginning to show its cracks as they stretched themselves thin to ward off further attacks from the Maw while carrying a moving front toward Exegol as forces amassed on the Alliance border all the same.

To ensure the Empire's fighting force would remain in a position of strategic advantage, the 'Winter Contingency' was passed down to evacuate and scorch earth all of Imperial occupied former Chiss space, to cede strategically unsustainable holdings to the Maw while consolidating a better, tighter grouping of systems and formations to defend and project from.

For now, the Empire is surrounded by states wary of it at best and hostile of it at worst, while it still maintains the Galaxy's most formidable military- an impossible situation continues to mount as external threats pile and the sparks of rebellion are nursed into smoldering flames internally.
