The commonality of witches of Dathomir is the source of their power. The ichor of their planet. This connects witches to their planet. To their past and the brothers and sisters that came before and will come after. Yes. Sisters and brothers. The Blue Coral Divers feel that all genders are capable of wielding the powers of the Clan.
But this discussion is on ichor. The galaxy has seen what it can do. The green ichor that connects our magic to Dathomir. Connects it to our selves. Pulling from spirits and the Force. Ritual is another chapter in this volume and discusses the animism of ichor, the shamanistic side. But it isn't always that.
The ichor we use is not always green, with our clan we pull from the corals a blue ichor. More watery in nature, cloud like and fluid. The ichor penetrates our work but does not hold that sinister look of the Nightsisters.
The blue ichor is a form of the Force and can be used for healing and creation. Imbuing items and invigorating potions. (See Potion of Vitality. Potion of Endurance.) Connected more to the corals than the world, blue ichor has a warmth despite its color. A connection to what a Jedi would call the Light Side, while remaining separate. Corals take thousands of years to be build and made. They are life and slow creation.
If a nightsister is fire. A Diver is water. Water can create peaceful pools. Or it can create a hurricane. Because we are not always pushed to the limit others may doubt our abilities but coming from a place of creation. Blue ichor and create many effects. Walls of ice, cooling healing waters, devastating storms of wind and lightning.
The connection to the Coral, and the reason for the Seeding of these around the galaxy creates the connection to many worlds, many clans. And increases the Power. Decentralizes it for our use.
And allows us to flow and be where we are needed.
