Zero Hour - Bimmisaari [Thrain Adventure]

8gDBW5k.png

The city of Glastro is bustling today. Hordes of Bimm are thriving throughout the local market place. Merchants of all types and races are out with their wares, as credits and money is exchanged for all sorts of goods and services. The day is high still, with the sun rising over the temperate planet. Still in their interpretation of summer, the warm winds across the planet make the day that much lovelier. Though the capital had definitely seen better days, Glastro was still a wonderful city on Bimmisaari. Unclaimed by any actual faction, the capital and the planet even were considered to be neutral in the affairs of war and chaos. The Bimm council and the local government were not throwing their lot in with anyone, but fierce debate in the Tower of Law continued day and night.

Suddenly, the day goes from bright and sunny to something far darker. The marketplace, usually home to an intense amount of trade, is in imminent peril. In a sudden, unexplained explosion, the marketplace goes up in flame. Several aliens are thrown to the ground, and the local police are completely slack-jawed by the sudden explosion. The buildings and trading hubs that make up the marketplace go up in flames as the explosion splinters wood and cracks stone. Terrified citizens of the planet scream and flee from the scene, as the dust slowly starts to settle. The local police start to converge on the location itself, but are met with a hodge-podge group of what looks like mercenaries. Blasters begin ringing out from the marketplace, as bolts fly off into the capital.

The mercenaries do not look like much honestly, as their armor contains fragments of once popular pieces. Some of them even have what appears to be sections of stormtrooper armor bolted to their bodies. Their weapons are much older as well, as their blasters ring out throughout the city. Distress signals are called out to local factions or people in the surrounding area. The mercenaries, all having been marked with a similar symbol, are carefree where they fire off their blasters. Citizens, merchants and police are targeted in the marketplace, as the small group descends upon the once idyllic city. Corpses litter the ground, most of them burned from the sudden act of terrorism.

At the center of the group is a man with what looks like a remnant of an officers uniform from long ago. Armed with a pistol, he calls out orders to his rag-tag group as they blast themselves through the marketplace. The mercenary group is taken a small amount of losses from the local police, who are simply not armed well enough to take out the mercenaries. The city is starting to close up, as the local police want none of these murderers to get out alive. The officer, obviously in charge here, begins calling out more orders as the group moves towards the local space-port.

"Make sure to kill everything near you! Keep your sights close and guard the rear! We are not getting paid for anything less!" The officer moves slowly with his men, gunning down any police or civilians that get in the way. At this point, it can be assumed that there are at least 15 or so mercenaries left. They are all armed with carbines or rifles of some sort, though their armor is indicative of something more guerrilla.

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin'tinag may have been part of the Jedi Order, but she enjoyed doing little odd jobs on the side for her old buddies in the under grown, even if she had to limit said job to remain within the law, neutral spacing being the main hot spot for her work. As of now she and her new crew members had just finished up doing a supply run for a rather shifty but, from her knowledge and insistence an alright upstanding business man, he just sometime supplied a few rebel groups that ran insurgent mission against the Sith and similar Empires.

So far eeeeeverything was peachy perfect, nothing seemed to be going wrong, aside from the massive explosion that ripped through the middle of the market place, sending a very noticeable shock wave down the ally way in which Tin was standing, blaster fire and smoke and panicked people coming from just down the street. "Why the kark does this stuff always happen when I am around... well, something tells me we ain't getting out of here without a fight, though I didn't expect to brush up on my combat skills in this sort of situation.

Tin un-holstered her blaster, running down the ally way, coming to a stop at its end, peering around the corner into the currently raging fire fight, no more than 20 merc gunning down people, the seemed very rag tag, more like bandits then anything else, carbine and small automatic rifles, tricky, but lacking distance. "Time to put those marksman skills to use, maybe try out a few force powers to while I'm at it, just hope I don't almost loss a Lekku like last time", Ting un-clipped her sabre staff, but kept it deactivated for now, crouching down behind a plastiod crate from one of the market stalls, breathing slowly she took aim at the closest merc, firing 3 shots targeting his chest area.

"So much for a break."

Coopre was tired. He was tired of everything, he was weak, fatigued, and overall not happy with himself. He had tried to over work himself although he knew that he shouldn't. So how about a break? A break from everything, a break from the shooting, the running, the hunting, just a chance to sit back and relax. He decided that a planet called "Bimmisaari" would be good. It was all a good idea at the start. At the start.

Everything was fine, business in the market was good, relaxing was amazing, having his helmet and hood off for niot the sake of negotiation was a plus, but then a big ol' boom. Coming straight out of the market. How subtle. How do troubles like this spring out the blue everywhere? Who knows? All Coopre knows at this moment that an explosion ripped out, some people dead, some running, a helluva lot of smoke and yelling, and blaster fire.

"First time this has happened ever. Well, there's a first for everything, isn't there?" He said as his helmet locked into place and his hood was pulled up. More adventures. Great. But when he actually got a view of whoever started the explosion, the weren't pirates, they looked like mercs. Coopre smiled at this. Not having to meet up with pirates was a plus. Also, as he looked down from a nearby building, he saw about 3 people in a small group. Allies, also a plus. He unslinged his marksman rifle. He aimed at merc aiming straight at him and fired into his neck.

Some vacation, amiright?

Petal

Every rose has its thorns
petal was having a nice time spending time with her new captain and to an extent, her gruff new crewmate when the explosion happens the ground shook her to her core but before she could prosses her fear she was awestruck by her captain([member="Tin'tinag"]) gracefully heading to the fight and shooting a man that looked to be some kinda merc. (her captain never seemed to stop impressing her)
with her fears broken she quickly and stealthfully meet up with the captain ( petal might not be able to shoot or punch well but she did have explosives), she handed two of them to [member="Tin'tinag"] she then looked back to @Myles Davorak

Myles had joined [member="Tin'tinag"] and [member="Petal"] on this excursion, as the rest of his men and ship was located on Rishi. He had gotten to know his new allies a little better, and he felt pretty comfortable around them.

Enjoying the Marketplace located in Glastro, Myles had visited multiple market stalls inspecting wares and supplies that were available for purchase. The warm breeze reminded him of summers on Naboo and brought yet another sentimental smile on his face.

That was short lived as multiple explosions rocked the Marketplace and sent multiple bodies to the ground. Lifeless. Reacting on audio cues, he unslung his carbine and took cover against the wall near Tin. "How come this kark happens when I am with you?" this was meant as a light-hearted joke to take the edge off. He would brace his carbine against the buildings and pepper shots at the unknown assailants. Who were they and what is their purpose? He would muse to himself.

Whoever they were, they had remnants of old armor and weaponry; yet they were organized somehow. Were they a militia or mercenary force? Time would tell.

With Tin and Petal near him, Myles charged down the alleyway after them as he would scan the rooftops and their six for hostiles.

The mercenaries continued their assault, moving down the street, peppering any forces that were in the area. Most of the civilians in the area had retreated at this point, fleeing from the blaster-fire and aforementioned explosion that had engulfed the marketplace in fire and dust. Ting, aiming at one of the mercenaries, fired off 3 shots that rang out true. The mercenary she was aiming at is struck directly, and though his armor seems to catch much of the flak, he goes down. Calling out her position, the mercenaries turn and pepper her surrounding area with more fire. Their suppressive fire explodes all around Ting, but the shots are random and coupled with bad aim.

The mercs would not have too much time on their hands however. As fire continued to rain down on Ting and Petal's position, a slug slammed into another one of the mercenaries. The gunshot was incredibly loud, and rang out throughout the marketplace. The officer, recognizing the shot as being from a slugthrower, immediately ordered the soldiers to take absolute cover. Slugthrowers were a pain to deal with, as their bullets could potentially break through their rag-tag armor. The mercenaries scattered, some of them going two by two as they fled down alleyways and stalls. Some took cover near buildings, while a few searched for the slugthrower shot.

Seemingly by bad luck, a lone mercenary rushes through the opposite alleyway near Myles. Slamming into him, and being much smaller, the mercenary is thrown to the ground from the practical slam Myles gave him. Myles would still be standing of course, now in an advantageous position over the prone mercenary.

The officer called out more orders to his troops, calling for them to move towards the spaceport as quickly as possible. More local police forces were moving towards the scene of the explosion, hell-bent on getting revenge on the dead citizenry that littered the marketplace street. The small group of mercenaries, though under fire, were slowly making their way there.

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
The force indicated to Tin about the approaching danger from the return fight, as such the orange Twi'lek quickly ducked down behind cover as the blaster bolts slammed into the crate she hid behind, the bolts melting away at the plastiod material. "Time to change cover", grasping the explosives [member="Petal"] handed her, with a small force push Tin sent the explosives hurtling into the crowd of mercs, not exactly trying to hit any, more or less betting them to disperse and draw away their blaster fire.

She turned to [member="Myles Davorak"], to refute his comment with her own sassy remark, "Ha, you should have seen the stuff I got call into in my pass job, not pretty, oh also looks like you have a friend with you", the way the merc ran into Myles was something out of a comedy holo film, even though their was death and destruction all around such a silly little event made her smile, before becoming serious again when a blaster bolt almost took of her right Lekku. "Oi, watch where your shooting, I've already had people try to take this thing off, I don't need to add you guys to the list", it was a rather long list too.

Petal

Every rose has its thorns
petal hide closer to into the cover she had and waited to hope that with the merc caring more about [member="Myles Davorak"] and [member="Tin'tinag"] they would forget about her and run past her with luck one shooting rapidly a wild walk past her and in an instant petal grasped him glove around his face sending 90 milliamps of electricity to the mercs using his body as cover petal made her way to a side ally out of the way

When one of the mercs went down, they all seemed to flee into cover. Good move, for some amateurs. Bad move, if your opponent has a fully functioning jetpack. His jetpack ignited and roared into life as he went up. He saw the mercs looking straight at the roof he was on and looking straight at him, blasters raised in his direction. He aimed his rifle at one, shot him in throat, and he fell, blood splattering on the wall behind him. One down, seven more. He aimed to take out another when little did he knew, there was a merc right behind him. He had surprisingly snuck past Jovian while his jetpack ignited. He aimed at one of the boosters, and fired at it, hitting the overall frame of the jetpack and then finally, it his the booster. Jovian felt this, and the sudden jerk of force. He turned around to meet whoever shot him. He aimed at his his forehead, and pulled the trigger. Now, the jetpack was going out of control, having it to uphold Jovians weight while only one booster was functioning.

"Damn! Computer. Reroute the engine capacity to the only remaining booster." The jetpack suddenly started to lean a lot to the left and hovered in that direction. A lot of the mercs had gotten the sudden courage to do the same thing, and started to redirect their aim at the jetpack. Jovian landed on a nearby roof, layed down, and studied the damage. It was a terminal bust, meaning it was going to need some repairs soon. He cussed under his breath and aimed his rifle over the inclining of the roof, aiming at the cover that the rest of the 'lowlife mercs' hid behind.

As Myles was keeping his senses and wits about him he still found the focus and humor to reply back to [member="Tin'tinag"] "I can only imagine the stuff YOU got into. Nonetheless, this prevents life from getting to boring eh?" He quipped when a mercenary almost caught him off guard.

Out of instinct he embraced the mercenary's body and used the momentum to slam the lone guerrilla down to the ground. Quick-drawing his sidearm he replied to Tin "Yeah I guess so.....maybe we should see what he knows?" He said as he shot a devilish grin to his team.

"Who hired you and what are you doing here?" He said firmly. Myles wasn't one for ultimatums but lives were in danger and Myles wouldn't risk it. Keeping an eye on Tin and [member="Petal"] he made sure that retaliatory fire wasn't engaged.

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin gave a thumbs up to [member="Petal"] as she sneakily shocked some guy trying to get the jump on the group, perhaps she would also designate stealthy to the shy Twi'leks skill set, even when not trying the pink skinned woman had a habit of being very silent and aloof, give her some decent cloaking equipment and she would practically be invisible.

With the immediate danger out of the way, and the mercs distracted by some other person shooting at them Tin turned back around to the crew gun for hire, "Don't forget the people that got into me as well, hee hee hee". It was rude, crude and prude, but that was just how Tin was, who cared if she was supposed to be a Jedi, the code didn't say anything about foul language or one night stand, as long as you did not form any attachments.

"Hmmm, maybe I could have just used a force mind trick may work, but its honestly more fun to see them squirm and buckle under pressure" She joined by [member="Myles Davorak"] as the merc lied on the ground at gun point, the current fire fight waning away in the back ground, though the force telling her that there was not intimidate danger to the trio. "Now, we can do this the easy way and you tell us what we want to know, or we can do it that hard way where I use a force trick, which may or may not work, then I get pinky here to zap you, if that don't work I'm sure my lightsabre can be of use.... you under stand buddy"?
