Armand Temi
Orphan
As they approached Zeltros, Dak turned to Krevin, her Twi'lek bodyguard and said, "Look at that beautiful planet."
"Are you feeling nostalgic?" he asked.
She frowned and checked the ship console for Zeltros Standard time. "No, silly it's the middle of the day."
Krevin rolled his eyes and said. "NOT nocturnal, Vac-head. Nostaligic. Do you miss your home planet?" Dak blinked and considered the question. "Yeah, I guess." she said, fiddling with the ship's controls. And it was true. She did miss Zeltros sometimes. Now that she was a member of the Red Ravens she didn't get to visit her homeland nearly as much as she wanted to. She didn't miss her family. The Maker only knew where the kark those dirty gypsies were. But she did miss some of her friends and the nightlife. So much that she had arranged a big party so that she could spend time with her favorite pals - while at the same time picking up a fresh batch of glitterstim from her longtime dealer, which is what brought her back to Zeltros in the first place.
As they headed into a public docking station on autopilot, Dak looked over at Krevin and felt an unfamiliar pang of guilt. She really hadn't wanted to bring her bodyguard but her boss, [member="Cryax Bane"] had insisted. Dak didn't suspect she was a marked woman, but Bane warned her that her "profile was higher now that she was in the Raven's clan and he didn't want to receive a package later containing her body parts." Aw, shucks. It was the closest thing to praise that she would get from him so she listened to his advice.
But she knew that this trip may be hard on Krevin. He had gotten more attached to her than an appendage. They had spent a lot of nights in her ship bunk with their own special kind of interspecies exploration. But he could eat munk if he decided to sulk around in the background like a spurned lover at the first sign of her flirting.
As the ship parked, she perused the text messages on her datapad. One came back from a fun-loving friend named Genovia. She wanted to be an actress but mostly spent her time as a sugar-baby hunting for rich, handsome Zeltrons, humans or near-humans to financially support her. She was forever sending Dak the profiles of her wealthy prey to evaluate. Genovia was helping her plan the homecoming party:
